Pros: Maribel and her husband were lovely. The bedroom was comfortable, well presented and spotless with nice touches such as lace on the pillows. It was a very quiet location apart from the occasional train passing nearby (which didn't bother us). There was a choice of free drinks available in the evening, including wine. There was a fridge and microwave available.
Cons: It is several miles from the nearest shops or restaurants. We stayed 4 nights and, although it was OK, we had the same breakfast every day - there was no choice.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Casa Sonrisa was a wonderful experience for both of us. A small and intimate, special rural casa. The area is very beautiful, and Arnoud helped us with tips for visiting great locations. Desiree and Arnoud were warm and welcoming hosts, and the communal dinner on our first night was a special treat. Arnoud's cooking was fantastic, and Desiree's desserts delicious...and great quality wines. The rooms were cosy and comfortable. Our only regret was that our stay was too short.... We knew nothing about the area, the spectacular Tobalina valley, and so the whole experience was a wonderful surprise. Thanks so much Desiree and Arnoud.
Cons: Cannot think of anything that needs improvement. Great value for money as well.

Cons: Breakfast was standard fayre.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast. The beds were comfortable except both me and my wife could feel every little movement that the other made, so neither of us got a good nights sleep.
Cons: As above the bed. Also the town of Miranda de Ebro is a rather run down town that was built on the chemical industry. We were there during a festival and joining the locals in their celebrations was very enjoyable, but Miranda is not a tourist trap. Think Widnes with paella.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Located in a lovely suburb town that has plenty of restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. Room was large and comfortable with welcoming air conditioning. Staff were friendly. Lovely walk by the river to the main area in town which has a couple of tapas restaurants and a really good pizzeria that we would definately recommend.
Cons: Not much not to like, it is walking distance from the restaurants and shops but it was very hot when we got there so seemed further. On a cooler day it would have been a lovely walk down by the river side.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good shower, nice view of church and square. Very old medieval village by river. Not far from motorway. Hotel building was very old with lots of character. Village very quiet away from bar.
Cons: The bed was too small, the room door did not always lock automatically, very noisy guests, very noisy bar next door, very young children running around and shouting outside until midnight. Not much choice where to eat. Nobody on site for the hotel. No shelves in the bathroom to put things. Very limited car parking. Old wooden shutter windows looked good but did not shut out any noise from outside.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good - served in the bar next door and cooked to order by a very pleasant and efficient lady (very good Spanish bacon with scrambled eggs, etc.). Indoor parking; pleasant old Spanish building on the main square. It was cool, quiet, characterful, and agreeably unpretentious.
Cons: Nothing really.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautifully restored old building. Tastefully decorated and very clean.
Cons: Rather noisy if you are out of phase with the Spanish way of life due to location at the village main square. Diner facilities in village are rather limited.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very rustic but very different to you typical hotel

Pros: The town and the hotel where very nice and comfortable
Cons: Unfortunately we arrived on a Monday when the bar and the restaurant where closed we would have liked to have known this before we booked.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very historical in architecture but the room was modern and delightful. I especially loved the concealed kitchenette! The room was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The shower room was extremely modern and the whole room was spotlessly clean. The communal areas were interesting with lots of artefacts dotted around. Parking was also excellent.
Cons: Getting into the hotel reception area was a problem as the door was locked. There was a bit of difficulty locating the reception staff member who was not in the building.

6.8 Good
Pros: The stay was good value for money. But rather disappointed there was no facilities ie food or drink available. The parking was good and secure. Especially as my husband has a classic car.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is central, the room has air conditioning and the wifi connection was strong, there was an elevator to upper floors, the room was clean and so was the bathroom, the underground parking is safe and close to the hotel, you can also get great breakfast in the cafés nearby, we didn't hear any noise from the street although many bars nearby were fully packed - we surely enjoyed our stay! The cherry on top was the amazing staff - both receptionists were attentive and very patient and helped us park our car, which took some time due to its size :) lastly, the communication with the hotel went very smoothly both online and offline (even though one of the receptionists didn't really speak English while the other one spoke fluently, they were both exceptionally helpful and easy to understand!).
Cons: The parking, although incredibly safe, can be quite tricky for larger cars as there is a car lift - just something to keep in mind!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and proper room. My wife was extremely pleased to find a bidet!
Cons: No coffee/tea facilities.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was big for the price. Location as expected. Safe, quiet. Not so difficult to get parking.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great little hotel near to the motorway/road which accepts dogs! Perfect for a stop en route
9.3 Excellent
Pros: No problem with our three cats. Ask for the room on the second floor with the large walk in closet.
Cons: We stayed on two nights. One the first night the set menu was €11.50. Good value. Two days later the cost had risen to €13.50! Maybe summer prices?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very poor breakfast
Cons: Not enough food for the price no cheese no ham 2 butters 2 Jams 2 croissants
5.0 Okay
Cons: Its location, although Pancorbo is a lovely medieval village, it is on the very edge of the village with a train track behind it and main road in front & next to a petrol station. The lady on reception was friendly but it is unfortunately a very tired looking building and appears somewhat run down.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The staff is friendly and there is a restaurant on first floor, so I had my dinner and went direct to my room.
Cons: Hard to locate by GPS, I had to call twice. The room is front of the road and it's very noise.
6.8 Good
Pros: Meal was very good and the drinks were very cheap.
Cons: The location of the hotel was on the opposite side of the road with solid double white lines and police ensuring nobody crossed over. However a 2 mile journey gave an opportunity to turn round. I would not recommend parking in the area across the road as you have to cross 2 busy lanes of lorries passing. As the road is only about 12 meter from your window got very little sleep.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: excellent dinner ,and great. service from Marcia y Rafa and in the bar...try morcillo and the solomillo , have been staying here for years en route to and from Uk/Portugal. great location for ferry and just off Auto estrada...
Cons: wifi not too good
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff was polite and helpful
Cons: Located in a very dark region and building looked very old and lack of maintenance.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find, friendly welcome for us and dog. room simple but lovely - bed, bathroom, balcony. Lots of water in the shower. Dogs welcome in the bar where the food and drinks were excellent. Hotel itself is near main road - but far enough away for noise not to be a problem. Receptionist advised on where to walk the dog - down to amazingly pretty village of Pancorbo.
Cons: Nothing
