Countryside location, great pool. We were astonished by the beautiful hotel site. It looked like in a fairytale! We had to pay for the towels in the pool area and it was required to buy bathing caps for use in the pool. The breakfast and dinner was good, but the catering staff did not appear extremely motivated.
Excellent. We were treated very well from the moment we arrived until we left Superb room and surroundings Difficult to find even with GPS,should have sign posts from the town
The hotel staff was extremely helpful, professional and polite. The Masseria is amazingly beautiful and charming and the location is perfect as it's located few kilometers away from any of the Salento's most interesting villages and towns. Unfortunately, our bathroom was quite old (I would say about 20 years...) and the shower had a carton instead of a door. However, both room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. The breakfast was good but not very rich in quantity and quality. We were expecting typical products but a part from the cakes and the pastries, the rest (jams, honey, marmalade, yogurt and juices) were from mass distribution.
Masseria Appidé is a beautiful and peaceful hotel in the middle of Salento's wonderful countryside. Excellent position between Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca and Gallipoli for those who wish to discover the delights of Salento in few days by car. The hotel is so clean that you have to wear a swimming cap in the pool...
The room was spacious, impressive murels on the ceiling. Nice pool area but not many chairs if it had been very busy & no umbrellas. Food very good and staff especially on reception very helpful & informative. Beautiful buildings. As it was isolated, it was disappointing there was no bar/lounge area serving all types of drinks hot & cold drinks & snacks other than crisps during the day & evening. During the day it would have been nice to have a sandwich & latte but there was nothing available. Also nowhere to relax after dinner.
Unforgettable experience, altough it is not perfect (what do you expect from a building from the 18th century), the enviremont, the pace, the friendly staff and offcourse the fantastic kitchen blowed any critic away. For us a small paradise!!!!
Stayed 3 nights in August 2010 for an average of 180€/night breakfast included. Very nice modern hotel ideally located in Corigliano d'Otranto in the heart of the Salentino peninsula. 2-stories suites are clean and spacious with a queen bed, a sleeper sofa, a dining table, large closets, a full-sized bathroom with shower. Bar fridge & tv. Free wifi on request. Facilities include a restaurant for breakfast & half-board dinners, a large swimming pool, a magnificent garden, and a horse center. The staff are extremely helpful and speak good English.
Room is out of date
swiming pool area except week end because they let people from the village to come in. swiming pool too crowed on week end. rate is a bit expensive for the area, 98 euros. our room superior only nice but standard normal, not too big. Breakfast very poor and staff not too disposed. Some areas of the stairs to the swiming pool really dusty. Room decoration is a littele barroque
the surroundings breakfast could have been more varied
Quiet surroundings and beautiful garden. The swimming pool. Directions but that could have been my fault. Breakfast could have been a little more inspiring.
Hotel owner was lovely. Drive through the olive groves very pleasurable. Breakfast quite under par. Very little day light in the room. A bath would have been nice as it was a suite that we booked. Would possibly recommend as a summer location but not winter.
nice design and excellent food. The staff is brilliant
