Pros: The croissants really were extra flakey and the bed was comfy! The proprietor, Francine, is charming and very welcoming. She booked a table for us at a restaurant when we were going to arrive late. The location is very peaceful and delightful.
Cons: Nothing. It was all very agreeable.
Pros: Lovely hospitality, relaxing outlook, delish French breakfast
Pros: Quite and clean
Cons: A bite cold

Cons: No wifi.
Pros: The Chateau is beautifully decorated and clean. Francine is incredibly helpful and lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Francine went out of her way to help return an item I left. She is a gem. You won't be disappointed!

Pros: Beautiful setting, lovely family room. Clean and warm and a great place to stop en route to the Alps! The staff are really friendly and Thierry was very helpful about the fact that we were arriving late.
Pros: Extremely comfortable facility in an extremely quiet golf club. When the golfers depart it’s just you. Perfect. Lovely new aircon. Family of 5 travelling through France. Lovely bottle of wine on the balcony. Highly recommended with great breakfast.
Pros: Beautiful setting, it had a little fridge. Staff made up supper plates for us although we had not reserved supper beforehand
Located in Barbirey-sur-Ouche, Villa les Pieds dans l'Ouche is on the riverwalk, within a 15-minute drive of Château de Barbirey-sur-Ouche and Chateau de Malain. Featured amenities include a computer station, multilingual staff, and coffee/tea in a common area. Pros: The owners were extremely kind and thoughtful. They arranged an appointment with a local vet (for a UK pet passport check). They also cooked an amazing meal for guests in the evening. Delicious food in a beautiful spot.
Pros: Mercedes was a very welcoming and friendly host. She had a wonderful breakfast of cheeses, local fruit, preserves and homemade loaf set out the next morning. A vast library of movies was available. Beautiful garden to sit and enjoy the outdoors with a glass of wine. Great overnight stay for our 'Burgundy Canal' cycle trip.
Pros: Very nice hosts. Charming place. Excellent breakfast. Will definitely come back!!!
Pros: Cozy place off the beaten track with super friendly host and a great breakfast,
Cons: A bit far out
Pros: This is a fascinating house with incredible hosts, who make your stay great. The location allows for great natural adventure. You can rent the bicycle from the hosts and undertake beautiful ride along the canal that is close to 60 km long with medieval villages and Abbys on your road. I would strongly recommend family trip assuring you will have great fun and fantastic rest in nature with all the comfort you need.
Pros: Absolutely great place - near Dijon in a cute village, the villa has loads of charm and character, the hostess was lovely (fluent in French, German and English), the breakfast was good with excellent coffee, and there is a lovely garden for relaxing in. There is an elderly dog in residence, but he welcomed my dog and happily joined us on our walks to the nearby canal. Gabrielle, the hostess, helped us make dinner reservations and showed me the best routes for walking. I slept like a baby in the large, comfortable bed, and my husband and 3 kids were comfortable too. Great WIFI, so the teenagers were happy. Very memorable and pleasant place to stay!!
Pros: The owners were very helpful. the accommodation was comfortable, and the breakfast as fantastic. I only got a small chance to investigate the local area, but it was a beautiful and there seemed to be some very interesting history.
Pros: We arrived late by bicycle and the hostess took us under her wing and provided absolutely everything we could want. She fixed us a delicious supper so we didn't have to go out on our bikes again to find a place to eat. This gave us time to visit the gardens right up the street. Breakfast was excellent and very generous. The house is a wonderful old place- would definitely stay there again.
Pros: Owners very friendly and helpful, could not do too much for us.
Cons: Bathroom a bit small and tight
Located in Sombernon, Le Spuller is within a 15-minute drive of Château de Commarin and La Maison de Pays. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: We booked a family room. However, we were given 2 rooms separated by a corridor. When we brought that to the staffs attention we were told it is one big room. Clearly not true!!
Pros: Very good shower, tea making facilities, good location, pleasant staff.
Cons: Would have preferred secure parking however, this being the first visit, the parking was directly in front of the hotel so OK.
Pros: The hotel is well located in a beautiful region, near to the Chateaux of Commarin and Chateauneuf, and the delightful Val de l'Ouche with its picturesque canal, woods and vistas.
Cons: We were not warned by you that the hotel restaurant was closed on 1 May, as were most others in the region. We were lucky to find one open for dinner at Vandenesse, about 20 km away. Our room was not made up on 1 May. Breakfast was chaotic in provision of basics. The road outside was very busy in rush hour and on-street parking was limited. The manager showed no ability to speak English and seemed little interested in our difficulties, but waiting staff were fine.
Pros: Design of the room. Very nice, yet simple bathroom with shower. The view from my room out over the valley.
Cons: Spent only one night there. As with every budget European hotel, finding bacon and eggs for breakfast is wishful thinking but the crossaints were great!
Pros: Wonderful helpful staff. Great location. A little gem.
Cons: Wifi not consistent.
Pros: The breakfast improved since our last visit 4/2017, I would still like to have soft boiled egg instead of a cold hard boiled one. It would also be good to have hot milk for the coffee rather than chilled. The hotel restaurant is very good with a good selection of dishes and wines to choose from and a splendid view if you have a table on the window.
Cons: I wish they would learn to make a good Gin & Tonic - use a proper gin & tonic glass (not a limonade glass), plenty of ice, slice of lemon, 10cl Gin + 20cl Tonic
Pros: Very nice restaurant and food
Cons: We had booked two 6 bed rooms for two family groups, however, when we arrived we had been given one 4 bed family room and two double rooms, which meant that one of the families had to split up and the parents shared beds with their small children. This was not what we expected or wanted, however, our French was not sufficiently good to have this discussion with the hotel.
