The hotel was in a very scenic position. The room was large and comfortable. The spa facilities were very good and I enjoyed the massage and facial very much. This was also very good value. Staff were helpful and always pleasant and polite. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very good. Service in the restaurant was geared towards the group and tour parties on the buffet dinner package so we felt the a la carte menu although good was poorly prepared and served. This was the only down side to our stay.
Good views over the valey. Hotel situaled up in a hill and a bit isolated. Too long wait for the dinner (45 minutes). Internet cheap 4eur for 3 hours but the time goes even if you are not connected. All the info in the hotel only in German. Wifi only in limited areas.
We stayed at the Junior Suite as we were 'downgraded' from the Emperor's Suite which was double booked. Spacious room, good comfortable beds, good shower. Staff in the restaurant is unexperienced, not up to (international) standards. Quality of food is substandard.
The cleanliness and size of the rooms. Excellent food. Not having tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Everything, especially views and indoor swimming pool with sauna. None
Very convenient for the railway station.
The cleanliness throughout was exemplary. The breakfast staff were polite and attentive. Its close proximity to station was convenient. No
pleasant staff,clean and tidy hotel
The hotel staff was so cordial, the breakfast was very good, the room was cleaner than most hotels where I stay, and I usually stay at 5 star rated hotels. I will stay at this hotel many times in the future, and I will recommend it to other colleagues. The breakfast staff is so nice, perfectly attentive, and everyone very pretty (not a breakfast staff requirement, of course). This hotel was exactly what I expected. I didn't see a soft drink/bottled water vending machine. Maybe there is one there. I got thirsty. I can't complain because my German speaking abilities are limited, and I might have missed something. Maybe there is room service for that, I don't remember.
The room and hotel is very good llike one other person said it's off the normal tourist route but is a nice clean hotel. I was their because I wanted to see the V2 rocket factory which is very close but not too well sign posted It had a bar but it was not open
Near the railway station and the trams. Near a good shopping centre and a nice outlook from our room on some ornate building facades.
We found it extremely handy for the railway station and the start to the Harz mountains steam railway network to the Brocken
Very comfortable hotel and central position near station and other forms of transport. Liked the hotel, but not the town.
The hotel is an excellent base for visiting the Harz area and especially for a trip on the steam operated Harzer Schmalspurbahnen. It has to be said however that Nordhausen itself does not have much to offer the visitor, See also comments which follow in the next section. Nordhausen is well off the usual tourist trail and therefore English is not widely understood there. I had to speak German to the Receptionist when I first arrived but the morning check out was done in perfect English. This is not a criticism, merely a statement of fact. A knowledge of German is rather necessary when visiting this area.
Very friendly staff and the breakfast was vey good.
good location, good price, nice people (stuff), smoking area in the holl, coffee for free wi-fi is in the holl only - that's bad
Friendly staff,excellent breakfast.
The hotel staff was absolutely horrible. The receptionist didn't even know how to use a computer.
The breakfast was very good.
Good budget hotel, next door to the zoo and the Ubahn. Would be ok for families interested in exploring the city. Car parking is difficult to find. ok for people arriving by train.
