Pros: Well, where do I start? This place is an oasis in the middle of the plains of Spain! On our approach in our car we were wondering where on earth we had booked, however as soon as we stepped into the guest house we knew we had made the right choice. We were welcomed with smiles and shown to our room which was a good size and had a large terrace with fantastic views. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom large and very modern. The two men who run the guest house were very accommodating - there is a bar which also serves tea and coffee during the afternoon. You need to request the evening meal during the day, which for 11 Euros each was amazing. Starter, salad, main course and dessert including wine/beer/water and bead. One of the owners is also the chef and the food was AMAZING, homemade soups, delicious salads, perfect desserts - we couldn't fault it. The breakfast was also good, as was the packed lunch we requested on the day of departure.
Cons: Nothing else really in the village, so you do need to eat at the guest house or travel to Soria the largest closest town - approx 20 mins drive away.

Pros: Excellent value for money. Check in was slightly slow, but not an issue. People have remarked having problems with the 'key' system, we had no problems whatsoever. There are two underground car parks close to the hotel. The large, more obvious one, is significantly more expensive than the smaller one (4 or 5 times more expensive!), which is almost literally under the hotel (Plaza Olivo?), so is worth searching out. The lady on reception told us about it.

Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Bent over backwards to ensure they solved any queries. All this, without being bothersome. The bed was very comfortable, the housekeeping was by request (put the door sign out), The blinds shut out the light completely, Tv was good. Breakfast deal excellent.
Cons: Got to be honest though: The facilities are a little dated, in excellent condition, just a bit old-school.

Pros: really nice room in a great location in central Soria. some shared food preparation available in reception too..
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were grateful that the owner guided us to her other property when we were unable to stay at the Rincon. The room was comfortable and it was good that the owner had provided some food for breakfast - which we didn't expect.
Cons: Unfortunately, we were unable to stay at the Rincon de Gala as There had been a problem with the plumbing. Although the owner provided us with a room in her other property, it was not so convenient as we had particularly booked the Rincon because it was near the ALSA Bus Station and we had an early bus to catch. We don't think the property had air conditioning, which the Rincon had.
Soria Plaza Mayor - Soria - Building
8
8.2 Excellent (477 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Soria Plaza Mayor in Soria, you'll be just steps from Sierra de la Demanda and Palacio de Los Condes de Gomara. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and an elevator (lift).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It is a really cute little place, in the best location that it could possibly have, that absolutely does the job. Best thing of all is that the plaza (unlike just about every other plaza in Spain!) was deserted by 11pm (on a Saturday night!) so you get a bird's eye view of it at the best time when it is bustling and busy, but then can sleep perfectly (people in adjacent rooms permitting of course). Parking in the local car park is virtually free (3 euros for 24 hours)
Cons: Had rather odd food and coffee experiences (both cold!) at the bars on the plaza opposite the hotel. Soria didn't feel like a very forward thinking or open minded place - I wouldn't recommend more than one night.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is wonderful and easily accessible by car, also the parking was close by and not expensive at all.
Cons: The room was tiny.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really very kind and helpful. Thank you very much! Covered parking for motocycle for free
9.0 Excellent

As the whole area is pedestrianised, parking is in a public carpark about 200 metres away and costs just 3 euros for 24 hours. There are bars and restaurants within a few metres of the hotel.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We didn't try the breakfast as, we suspected it would be a bit basic.
Cons: The room was a little cramped but for the money we had no complaints. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: we only stayed one night on our way south , a good location no faults
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in an interesting old town with lots of shops close by. It was a bonus to find a safe and a mini fridge. The room was very nice with good quality bedding and towels. The shower was lovely with thermostatic controls. We parked in a good underground car par nearby which was less than 3 euros for 24 hours.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location in Plaza Mayor. Easy checkin, with proprietor/host Leonor who is charming, professional and friendly, and gave a town map and advice on points of interest. Hotel is spotlessly clean, room had balcony overlooking Plaza, quiet at night, super comfortable bed and linen, good ensuite. Breakfast was good, with fruit too. Secure parking for my motorcycle, thanks. Central Soria is very much worth a visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would like to return to Hotel Plaza Mayor. Muchos gracias Leonor.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simple clean hotel perfect for a one night stop on the way to another town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Easy access from the road with good parking outside the hotel. Comfortable, modern room with air conditioning. Swimming pool was an added bonus. Good breakfast facilities and wide choice of food to suit most tastes. Evening meal facilities over the road were welcome too.
Cons: The reception staff were not very welcoming, appearing to be confused by our long-standing, confirmed booking. It took 15 minutes to complete the formalities at the front desk and even then I was not entirely clear what all the confusion was about. Overall, poor customer relations.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very modern and functional arrangement in the room and elsewhere. Excelent shower, equipped with bidet, huge and comfy bed. Superb breakfast - not to be missed. As a biker, I was given a key from an enclosed storage for my motorbike. With the petrol station next door what else do you need?!
Cons: If you want to have a window open for the night, there is a little bit of noise from the near by road which dies off in the late hours but picks up in the morning. With the window closed, there is no issue and the room is air conn. Soap dispenser in the shower refused to cooperate but small complementary soap bar by the wash basin came to the rescue.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location for one night stay whilst traveling. Also, an excellent breakfast.
Cons: The dining area was functional only.
7.5 Good

11
8.0 Excellent (1,037 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hostel Soria places you in the heart of Soria, steps from Sierra de la Demanda and 4 minutes by foot from Coso San Benito.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Free breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice thing to have a breakfast included
Cons: Broken lock, broken shower grip
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: I recently relocated to Spain and chose the Hostel Sercotel to stay in while I was looking for permanent accommodation here. The hostel is in a good location and the room was clean when I arrived. While the bedsheets were changed almost daily oftentimes they had stains on them from previous guests, and by the end of my stay the floors and surfaces had not been cleaned since I arrived so dust had built up. The main problem I have with this hotel and company is that one day when I was out a member of staff dropped my Macbook in my bedroom that had been left on the bedside table and caused considerable damage to it. When I brought this up at reception upon finding it, the woman was very unapologetic stating she would tell the other cleaner and told me there are ‘Chinese shops’ I could go to. I then contacted the main email address for this chain to ask for their insurance details and I have yet to have a response from them. This experience has caused me great distress during an already difficult time as I am now going to have to make a +200km round trip to a certified Apple Store to ensure my laptop is fixed by a certified engineer. All in all I am very disappointed by the experiences I have had with the staff and head office from this hotel as they have a blatant disregard for guests property and experiences. I would not recommend this hotel until they learn how to deal with problems they have created.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: 3rd of 5 hotels in 5 nights. Booked a basic room in this hostel. The decor, lighting and tiling were really good, and the room size was as expected. Very comfortable bed, genuinely helpful receptionist. Enjoyed good coffee and some cereals in the breakfast room. December Christmas lights in the city were fabulous. Need to revisit the city - more exploring to do.
Cons: Room was great. Shower cubicle was a good size but the actual shower was in a daft position and an inappropriate sized nut that held on the new shower head meant it could not be slotted into the cradle!!! These are just little niggly things but the more one stays in hotels the more one sees little things that could be better!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helful staff, didn't know this when I booked, there's a breakfast room with great coffee, cerials, biscuits, juces, no extra charge. We parked easy quite close, calm neighbourhood, free to park on the street, only 10 minutes walk to the city center. Quite simple rooms but everything you need and pretty modern, have stayed in worse 4 star hotels, great value.
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is located close to the bus station and a short walk to the centre, which was convenient.
Cons: The woman on the desk didn't advise me that you had to book a session in the sauna so when I arrived I had to book a later session as I didn't book in advance. The sauna room had a bit of mould in the changing room which wasn't very plesant. Although our room was clean, it smelt like cigarettes. Overall I thought the price was too expensive for the area and the facilities.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, warm and pleasant. Staff very helpful - we needed their help with some phone calls.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The lady on duty at breakfast time was friendly and helpful. Nothing else, an overall bad experience.
Cons: Construction work nearby from 8 til 8 will probably be continuing. Really noisy, especially with windows open. I had to request that problems with plumbing and a bedside light be attended to, which they were. There was one glass rather than two in the bathroom, and it has not been cleaned.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included in the price. Extra personal bathroom toiletries in bathroom. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: Room was a little bit small. Suitcase had to sit near door as no room by bed. To use the desk, had to pull chair out past bed to get in to the desk. The picture in the lift showing breakfast was not what was actually provided. It showed eggs and fruit but they were not provided but there was enough food provided.

Hotel Castilla - Soria - Building
13
7.8 Good (583 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Castilla places you in the heart of Soria, steps from Sierra de la Demanda and San Juan de Rabanera. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: When on holiday and looking for somewhere to stay, the basics are Climate control Cleanliness Good shower Comfortable bed. This hotel does not have any staff on site and you communicate via an intercom at the front door. English is not spoken so you cannot even communicate via translating apps. On first arriving and using the intercom, a man turned up to book us in. The air con did not work but hr managed to sort it out within 10 minutes. We were given 2 electronic cards to operate the front door and room door, but only one worked and that was intermittent. On the first morning we found that someone had been sick on the first floor landing. Yuck. This was cleaned up, apart from the footprints in sick that were left on the stairs along with what looked like months of dust and debris that the cleaners did not bother with. The smell remained. The room was dusty and dirty. The shower refused to drain properly and I emailed the company. They did not reply and on the 3rd morning you could not take a shower as it did not drain at all. On the 2nd night, a concert took place in a small square about 100 meters from the hotel . This went on and on, until 4.30 am! Sleep was impossible. Had we known this was to take place we would have stayed elsewhere. I again emailed the hotels management asking for a refund for the last night, but never heard back from them. With prepayment, you are powerless. I will not stay here again and would urge you not to.
Cons: Most things that are important.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was excellent, located right next to the main plaza. We arrived in Soria by chance and are very happy to have visited it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenience, hotel is comfortable and in the centre of Soria. Pedestrian precinct close by with food and drink easily available and the older streets virtually car free. We were able to keep our bicycles inside the building.
Cons: It was all good for a well priced hotel.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: I emailed you for a early checkin and your answer was to contact the hotel directly. I did this (by email and by phone that you gave me) and the reception staff were dreadfull (rude). They couldnt help me at all. Because of this i told her I am cancelling and wouldnt recommend them. On Saturday 16th at 23.45 i received a call from the receptionist demanding to know where i was, i told her i cancelled as she knows( it was the same woman i spoke to on the previous Thursday). Then 25 minutes later i had another call from the hotel (different woman, who spoke English) asking the same thing, she was relaying our conversation to the original woman. I am so angry how i have been treated and it put a complete negative feel to my trip! I would like to know your view on this as i have used you before and have had no trouble at all with the hotels you have recommended .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb. The hotel is in the center of Soria, everything is within a 5-10 minutes walk!! It is a very old building that has been remodeled, and it is very charm! Also, the staff is excellent. We forgot something for the baby in the room and they send it back to us in 2 days!! . Be aware that it is not a convencional hotel. You do not have receptionist, and there is not facilities you can find and typical hotels like gyms, computer room, or bar... They meet you in the entrance, help you with the check in, give you your key to enter in the building... and that's it!! If you need something, you call them and they can be with you in 2-3 minutes.
Cons: Nothing to report
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was excellent
Cons: but reception and lift very narrow and difficult to use.
6.3 Good
Pros: No staff available to discuss problems, paid for parking up front but refused when we left parking.
Cons: No person available to speak to after paying 10 Euros for parking up front and nobody available when leaving. Will be complaining when I get back to the UK.
6.8 Good
Pros: the location is good.
Cons: never saw staff

Pros: Location: on top of a high hill with view possible in every direction
Cons: Aircon struggled with 35 degree heat
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The parador of Soria is also known as parador de Antonio Machado. This is helpful as some signs will have this name on them. It’s more modern than traditional, but location is awesome. The receptionist was helpful informing us about places of interest nearby and gave us a map. I like to point that not all paradores we visited gave us a map. Parking availability was a must. A stroll by the river Duero was enhanced by Autumn colors.
Cons: Nothing to dislike

Hotel Leonor Miron - Soria - Building

8.3 Excellent (1,046 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Natural Charming hotel with excellent views to Soria City. There are 30 rooms. Decorated in the Castillian style, this hotel has beautiful views across the Duero and old town.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Decoration tired and hotel expensive for what it offered. No coffee / tea facilities in room. Aircon barely worked
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I liked waking up to sunshine and birds. It is like staying in the countryside.
6.8 Good
Pros: Was expensive for what it is. Motorcycles had to be parked outside the hotel. The hotel is at the bottom of a cul dear sac, so not as bad as it sounds
Cons: Strong WiFi, food was good, hotel was clean
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were welcoming and friendly, the car parking easy, right outside the hotel, breakfast was lovely and fresh. The hotel was in a location outside main centre but easy 10 min walk to bars and restaurants. Beautiful walk below hotel along river. Well worth the stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very pretty. Quiet location
Cons: Nothing it was fine
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Very good breakfast.
6.3 Good
Pros: Continental breakfast was very nice. Bathroom was clean. Parking in close proximity to hotel.
Cons: The room was "tired" and quite small. Found a pair of underpants hanging on the radiator from presumably the last tennant. The dinner was disappointing for the price. The beds were hard. No free water bottle which disappointing for 4 star.
6.8 Good
Pros: The only outstanding thing about this hotel was its location. Sitting high above the river Douro .the views across to the old town were amazing. Staff on reception were polite and helpful, however the hotel itself is in need of renovation v. Tired especially the rooms . The only menu offered for dinner was also bizarrely served from 9 pm to 1030 . We had arrived after long day driving at 6. Pm so the wait for evening meal was painful. When we did enter the restaurant which has stunning views the staff were abrupt about exactly where we were allowed to sit . The food was dire !! I had ordered fish and it was a plate of mush ! Thank god for the bread ( stale) . There is a terrace with outside seating which was closed even though our visit was in June ! . This hotel was expensive compared to other accommodation which can be found in and around the old town . I would not recommend neither stay here again .
Cons: Well everything !apart from the view and benefit of spa bath in room however this as everything else needs updating . The price of sole set menu expensive given zero quality on food . The only plus was set menu included wine ( red) of the region so thankfully v drinkable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: The views from the room.
Cons: It appeared to be a longer walk into the centre of Soria than described. The main attraction of the hotel was the view from the terrace, but their was no drinks service to the terrace, so we couldn't take full advantage of it.

Pros: Clean and confortable
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great little property in the edge of town
Cons: The entry system to the building wasn’t straight forward and could have been fully explained once the booking had been confirmed
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and cuaiet everything is new If you like nature it is close to the river where you have several kilometers of paths and places to visit
Cons: In the way it works you only have one key of access for everyone so of you are two or more you always depends of the key holder Although the city is small you have to completely crossed to arrive from the train or bus station
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable, well decorated room that was very clean.
Cons: The door entry system was a nightmare! In fact, it stopped us going out in the evening in case we couldn’t get back into our room. The problem was worse because of language difficulties.
6.8 Good
Pros: Property had nice style and was clean.
Cons: Did not like automated checkin and no English speaking person on phone for help.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really pretty area and the room was nice and clean. Nice bathroom, clean towels and sheets, etc. Also had a hairdryer which was appreciated. Other than that, nice location with a beautiful walk around the river, only 20 min from the old part, free parking outside and a nice cafe directly across the road.
Cons: It’s true it was a bit strange to have no staff on hand, but there was a phone number to call if needed. Also, our card didn’t open the room door very well, we had to swipe quite a few times which made us nervous that we wouldn’t be able to get in.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very close to the monastery of San Juan de Duero. A cost cafe just in front of the hotel.
Cons: No staff is actually present in the hotel. Found only a housekeeping lady between 11:00 to 15:00 approximately. Therefore, a bit of problem if you want leave and pick up your suitcases at any time.
7.0 Good
Pros: The premises. Very beautiful looking double story link house, at the end of the row. Room is beautifully decorated. It's in a quite location is about 0.5 mile from town center, near the bridge over Duero River & next to San Juan de Duero Monastry.
Cons: Beddings. 1 long pillow to share with 2 persons. Nightmarish, literally because 1 person likes his pillow this way, the other person that way!!! Mattress is a bit militarily thin. The bathroom was done beautifully except that the floor is a hazard-in-waiting. It's highly polished & can be slippery when wet. It's bathroom floor after all.

7.5 Good

Cons: Room a little ctowdede
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good basic hotel with bar for drinks and snacks. Secure parking for my motorcycle in garage across the road. Room was simple but well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was fine and good value. Staff did not speak English but were helpful and we had no real problems communicating. Town centre was about 10-15 minutes walk and had a reasonable selection of bars and restaurants.
Cons: Staff didn't initially know which parking garage I was meant to use, but this was resolved later, so not a big problem.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 1 night in room with 3 single beds and ensuite bathroom. Walk up the stairs 1 level. The room had everything you need - not luxury but practical. Clean bathroom. Thermostat - thank god because it was turned too hot when we arrived. Our reservation included breakfast and that was orange juice, hot beverage, & croissant. Definitely a good value for the price. @ Town: Short walk through local neighborhood to get to historic center. The downtown was beautiful, the people welcoming.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Just perfect for an overnight stay. Private and secure parking was a bonus ( although it was 8 euro) Clean and comfortable, very pleasant and friendly staff.
Cons: All goid
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location. Breakfast was very tasty. The bar staff who served breakfast were friendly and helpful. Spoke very little English, which I found refreshing, but those with no Spanish skills could run into some difficulties.
Cons: Not well cleaned. We had long black hairs in the bed and on the bathroom wall. None of us have black hair. :( The key to our room would not work. The staff were apologetic, but their resolution was to lock the door from the inside and not leave again that night. No big deal, as we were tired anyway. The next morning, the door would not unlock from the inside. I had to call the front desk to have them let us out. The man who responded was apologetic, but offered nothing more than an apology. This was not a cheap hostal, but not on the expensive side either. I would have expected better cleaning, and the key issue was just comical.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was fine- a short walk to the town centre. Good central heating.
Cons: A little pricey for what it was- basic.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: One member of staff was obviously new, I am disabled and she put me on the top floor, another more experienced lady stepped in and gave us a ground floor room, after that things went well, Hostel Vitorina is a very popular Hostel/bar very wide roads and a disabled parking right outside. They have secure covered parking at a charge of 18€ extra. Our 2nd room was as clean as the 1st..comfortable beds, pillows and crisp white cotton sheets, lovely big shower, very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
Cons: No, nothing, alls good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice room and location
Cons: Parking nearby only if lucky
