8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing medieval building, full of character. Excellent value, sumptuous dinner of delicious local dishes - we could barely walk afterwards!
6.3 Good
Pros: The hosts were polite, but I would try somewhere else next time
Cons: Stairs, stairs and more stairs. If you are over 40 and carrying heavy luggage you may have a problem. Nice building, nicely finished, but stairs where ever you go. If you are accommodated away from the main addtess they dont tell you, you need to book your breakfast between 8.30 and 9.30 at the main address otherwise you miss out. It is Not really a B&B unless you have an imagination. A very old building with lots of character in a isolated part of the town. Did not try the restaurant as main courses were €30+ euro and not within our budget. Good luck to the hosts as I am not sure what demographics there are targeting.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff is super nice and helpful. The rooms are quite big, comfortable and clean and fully furnished. The breakfast is pretty good and home-made. Price is quite good for the quality. Would totally recommend it.
Cons: Our room was in a building a little walk apart from the hotel, so since we were carrying big suitcases it was a bit tiring but it wasnt a big deal.
7.1 Good
Pros: Lots of character to the building, grand piano, much made of music (Monteverdi music painted on the bedroom wall and appropriate piano music played during dinner). Good sized room. Great location, and view from the room. Closed terrace bar looked like it would be good if open.
Cons: No written information on services. No fridge either in room or beyond, no laundry service, no functioning bar, no ice dispenser, and dietary options beyond meat-eating were difficult to discern from a vague general menu. No wifi, though 4G signal was ok. Reception staff contactable usually only via whatsapp.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts and dinners outside; the pool; the horse riding facilities; the cat and the dogs
Cons: I minor disadvantage (but this is typical for Sardinia and not specially for the hotel) is that the dinner is only served starting from 20u which is quite late when you are a family with small children. For the latter a small play ground could further improve their joy ;-)

An appartment with 2 bedrooms (with A/C), 2 bathrooms, a large living room, fully equipped kitchen (with 3-4 different coffee, same for tea/herbal tea, lots of bottles of water, choice of 4 fruit juices, etc). There is also a great terrasse. The owners are super friendly and extremely kind. We had just arrived by bicycle after a very long and tiring day. When we asked where was the closest supermarket, and we all shook our heads because we did not have the energy to go that far, they told us to shower and get ready and then drove us! They did not even need anything. They waited for us in the car and told us to take our time. They also brought fresh bread in the morning.

Pros: Tranquil haven yet easy to find. Very spacious triple room and bathroom with large double bed and a proper single bed, wardrobe and useful fridge. Huge bathroom with good shower. French doors opened onto courtyard with flowering shrubs that attracted butterflies. Comfortable lounge bar area to relax for coffee in the afternoon, or with a generously poured whiskey after dinner. Architecture reflected the circular Nuraghes found all over the island. Food in restaurant was well prepared 3 course set menu with options for the primo and secondi course, including wine, €20 each, very good value. Breakfast was substantial. Swimming pool set among lovely cork trees, with sunloungers, so peaceful and relaxing. Owner and staff were friendly and welcoming, recommended a visit to Sinis Peninsula, we drove round the huge lake at Cabras and visited the museum there, with the stone figures found at Tharos. Then we beach hopped from Tharos up to Spaggio Di Maimoni, S'Archeddu 'e Sa Canna, Spaggia di Is Arutas, Spaggia Mari Ermi. Also had a day out following SP74 from Tadasuni to Fordongianus Roman baths, well preserved remains with audio guide, also cafe and toilets. The hot spring water flows directly into the river, take your swimming clothes!!

Pros: Wow, amazing little property in the heart of an Italian town, courtyard was wicked! If you stay here, you MUST, have their 5 course meal £35PP, the waiter explains all dishes perfectly and reccomend wines for you.
Cons: Only downside was getting a car to this property, have to be a experienced driver to use the right roads. Nothing else going on in the town, recommended for one night stay and meal In hotel.

Pros: The building and interior garden are nice through their age and arhitecture, The staff is very friendly and nice. The food is very good, feels like the chef running the kitchen is doing an excellent work..

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quirky yet comfortable accommodation & amazing food.
Cons: 73 steps from the restaurant to our bedroom!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an extra-ordinary place to stay! The B&B is an 'albergo diffuso' which means there are several different buildings, all of which have been exquisitely renovated and furnished. It is very much a family business with plenty of heart and soul as well as style. Lucilla was very warm and welcoming when we arrived (hot and tired from our walk), and she helped us with our onward travel arrangements which was much appreciated. Breakfast was amazing - well beyond the usual Italian offerings, and everything fresh and home-made. We also had dinner there and it was by far the best meal we had in Sardinia. It is worth visiting Santu Lussurgiu just to stay at Antica Dimora del Gruccione!

Pros: I absolutely loved staying at Cuccumiao. It was without a doubt my favorite stay in the whole of Sardinia. The house itself is well located and has its own theme (cuccumiao means owl), which is adorable. I honestly felt very much at ease the moment I arrived. She was helpful with tips and overall a generous and kind person.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were here for three nights. It was an exceptional place to stay in every respect, starting with the warm welcome by our host Paola (and her husband, Gianmauro). Our room, a superior Queen room was charmingly decorated with a delightfully tiled ensuite. Breakfast was a daily surprise always fresh, generous and delicious. It was a real pleasure to return from dinner each evening and settle into one of the comfortable sofas in the lounge area to enjoy a glass of the local Sardegna Mandrolisai wine and admire Gianmauro's renovation work and his masterful craftsmanship. Paola's enthusiasm for Sorgano, her home village and for the surrounding area was infectious and as a result we visited some interesting places every day that we might not otherwise have found. We ate at an excellent Agriturismo restaurant, Su Connnottu, which was less than ten minutes away and when we indicated that we might like to eat there on our last night as well Paola not only found out for us that they would be closed that night but directed us instead to a suitable alternative in Sorgono. And as for the Owls, well, their numbers have to be seen to be believed !
Cons: Not a single thing - Paola has thought of everything !

7.5 Good
Pros: Warmhearted host; she gave us good tips where to go. Very friendly also during breakfast.
Cons: Room had no chair(s) no lights near the bed (only one strong cold light at the ceiling u dont want to use) no small tables to use next to the bed or elswhere, no desk/table to use. Also only one ‘cold’ unpleasant light in the bathroom. Door to bathroom need to b fixed; it closes by itself so u are stuck in a warm room without any window or ventilation and u dont sleep well. Bed could b more firm/stable if used by 2.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was good value for money and we will definitely be staying again, we had a much larger than average room, beautifully furnished and very clean. We stayed for 4 nights whilst the festival was taking place in Gavoi. The town is lovely and so are the people, we visited the museum and had some delicious meals at Santa Rughe (we highly recommend this restaurant). The bed and breakfast consists of 5 rooms on the 1st floor with a kitchen and lounge. The owner comes each morning to prepare the breakfast which is plentiful and typical of the area. We visited the Maimoida mask museum which was fascinating, the murals at Orgosolo, Tonara famous for Nougat and had a picturesque drive through Deseulo and Fonni and sat by the beautiful lake Gusana. Thank you Alessandra, our wonderful hostess.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Alessandra greeted us so warmly and explained where everything was and how it worked. She spoke very good English, far better than our Italian. She also gave us a fabulous recommendation for dinner, which was spot on. Santa Rughe. One of the best meals we have had in Sardinia. The B&B was spotless. Great lounge area, with a wide choice of Sardinian wines on show, and available to buy. The room itself was comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was extremely clean and modern, even a ‘spa’ bath, which was so welcoming after a day of walking. Breakfast....simply amazing! A large choice set out in front of us including local sweet pastries, especially the ricotta cheese pastry that Gavoi is renowned for, drizzled with honey. Great coffee machine too. I don’t usually give a score of 10, however, Alessandra deserves this for her warmth and hospital she showed us. Thank you.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The family is a perfect host. We had a pleasure to spent some time talking with them and laughing. They prepared very good, delicious breakfast (polish eggs specially for us:). We even had a chance to taste home made cake. I strongly recommend to stary with them. The region is super interesting to visit, not only coast side.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room - very clean, nicely furnished, lovely characterful wooden roof and great views out over hills. Friendly hosts who we met (only) on arrival Good Wi-fi Decent breakfast
Cons: Village didn’t seem to be at all geared up for tourists - struggled to find a place to eat dinner (in Italy!!) Didn’t see hosts after arrival. Breakfast set out overnight - but thought a bit mean to lock away all the coffee (even cheap instant coffee) during day when may want a coffee on return to room, and failed to replenish tea and milk used at breakfast for next morning Great area for walking when weather good - less to do when weather wet (and roads around fun for drivers but slow to make distance). Careful - when arriving don’t let sat nav direct you to the avenue September, as very narrow (1.9m). Go to maIn round and walk

Pros: Accommodation that exceeded our expectations. Newly renovated building in a quiet mountain village with stunning views of the valley from the terrace. For the hike you can walk directly from the house or drive to the nearby area (e.g. Punta la Marmora). The room was spacious and comfortable, a massage shower in the bathroom. Staff (Beatrice) is really friendly and helpful and provide breakfast based on our wishes. 4 public parking spots next to the building. We have to get back one more time! :)
7.9 Good
Pros: The rooftop terrace is fantastic, big and with a plindid view, could do with som pillows or better chairs, but like everywhere else, it is the standard plastic ones. Our room with the balcony was lovely, big bathroom, nice floor and wooden beams. Location of the place is good, but so would most places be in a small town like Tonara. The breakfast room and other common room is also very nice, but and there are a couple of buts about this nicly decorated place
Cons: no fridge for the guests to use, and we were there while it was 35 degrees in August, there should have been one, there are plenty of room in the house to put one in. No aircon, it was hopelessly, ridiculosly, intolerable hot in our southfacing room at night, the sun had been shining on our room all day. ( Most time of the year this should not be a problem, but for us it was) And finally breakfast was not at its Italian best, hardly any fresh products, and nearly everything in small plastic containers and wrapped in plastic, this got to stop, and that is a problem in many italian B&Bs

Pros: It was a very beautiful environment, very nice landlady, terrace overlooking the countryside.
Cons: I would just warn the owners of multiwan car do not believe the navigation, the streets in the city are too narrow. I recommend parking in the newer part of town.
