The setting was very relaxing, you could enjoy the pool while also looking at sea views. Staff were helpful. Drinking water is undrinkable, so bottled water should be provided free of charge. Also the restaurant dinner menu was very limited and expensive compared to the restaurants around.
This hotel really is like heaven on earth. Views of mount Etna, gorgeous decor and good food and wine. Atmosphere is serene and the staff are friendly.
The room was pleasant and clean; above all, the ambience of the agriturismo was quite wonderful! For the most part (but see below) the staff were friendly and efficient. At one dinner, I ordered a meat course from the announced menu, waited over an hour, and after repeated appeals for service, was TWICE served the wrong meat. When I complained, I was told by the management that the kitchen thought I had ordered that wrong meat, though it was not on the menu and although I repeatedly asked for the meat I had ordered.
very good food, good facilities, charming staff
Very friendly staff and a really nice place! Beautiful big garden and a nice swimming pool with a lounge area. Not much to complain about, maybe the beds were a bit too narrow.
Roccadia lies in the midst of beautiful countryside with a view on Mt. Etna. It's a peaceful and calm place, where it cools down quite a bit at night during the summer months.
Very relaxing, with excellent local foood, 40 mins from Catania Airport
To be frank, there is not to much to be found that was positive. The place does have great potential as the buildings have been carefully reconstructed and a large swimming pool has been installed. The rooms were clean. The staff was very lax, the breakfast pathetic. One day there was even no bread and juice had to be asked for. As we ate the few brioch available, the visitors having breakfast after us were forced to eat some pre-packed dry toast. The room was underfurnished. There was no table and only 2 chairs while we were with 4 staying in a room for 4. There was more than sufficient place in the room to add a table and 2 more chairs. The staircase leading to the beds on the mezzanine creaked so much that it was impossible to get down without waking up everybody else.
The location, away from traffic but the immersed in nature's sounds. The terrace, overlooking the lawn, pool and onto the wood across the road.
That was the best place we stayed during our two weeks Sicily tour.We were looking for place to stay that was well equipped, nice surroundings, with a possibility to cook and located conveniently for going to Syracuse and Noto. It is agroturismo, within walking distance of Floridia, with public transport. The administrator- Stefany were very nice and helpful. We had no car and she took us by car to town and back, when it was necessary. We was little bit scared to go by foot 1 km without pavement.
1. Spacious, very well equipped kitchen (including coffe, tea, spices, oil and other products available), whole appartment was of a decent size; 2. Nice, friendly and caring staff (called us in advance to prevail about possible problems with finding the mansion); 3. Excellent value for money (the price we managed to get was the lowest during our whole 2-week stay in Italy; 4. Impressive palm ;-) and orchards around Things that were not a big problem for us, especially taking into consideration the price, however you should be aware of: 1. There's no reception desk; 2. Breakfast has to be self made (you are provided with some pastries, jam, milk, coffee and tea are available); 3. No markage - I belive it would be impossible to find on our own, especially taking into account fact that map on booking.com was indicating wrong location (fortunately the owner called us in advance and came to pick up from city centre) - this was meant to be amended when I spoke to staff; 4. Internet problems - we did not manage to connect to wifi (again fortunately owners let us using their personal computers) - this also was meant to be amended when I spoke to staf
