Pros: Corrine is an excellent host.
Pros: Corinne is a wonderful host, and the rooms are beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. My room had a great view to Chateau Queribus in the distance. There's a lovely outdoor space at the back with a jacuzzi to enjoy in the summer. The soaps in the bathroom are organic, and Corinne had made delicious crepes, brioche bread, and jams for the breakfast. I wish I could have stayed longer!
Pros: Absolutely wonderful in every possible respect.
Pros: Corrine our friendly and fabulous host, super gorgeous room with comfy bed and sitting area, lovely relaxing outdoor area, delicious homemade breakfast, perfect location in pretty village on the Cathar Way.
Cons: Nothing! Was perfect!

Located in Cucugnan, Auberge du Vigneron is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Château de Quéribus and Chateau de Peyrepertuse.
Pros: The location is fantastic. Very Central to the region. Rooms are comfortable and restaurant is excellent. The hosts are very friendly
Pros: Room was immaculate and very comfortable.
Cons: Parking in the village is a bit complicated ...
Pros: Modern bedroom decor within an authentic village building . Excellent evening menue and likeable staff.
Cons: Being left to fend for ourselves at breakfast although we muddled through and it was enjoyable.
Pros: A very nice apartment, a lot of space. A good location in the village
Cons: Breakfast was running out when we went there quite late. The garden could be better maintained.
Pros: Fantastic out of the way location. People very friendly and helpful. Beautiful terrace restaurant.
Cons: No hand soap in bathroom - first world issue!
Pros: Comfortable, spacious, simply yet tastefully furnished and exceptionally clean room with firm bed; good shower and plenty of storage. Good buffet style breakfast that could be taken on an attractive terrace with good views on nice days. The Auberge has its own excellent restaurant - a lovely place to eat in the evenings with high quality food and wine. Cucugnan itself is ideally located for visiting the Cathar castles at nearby Queribus and Peyretepuse; country drives and walks and vineyard visits. The village is quiet and pretty with a couple of other restaurants (if you need them); a friendly grocery store (Epicerie); an artisan potter and a wonderful bakery - Le Maitre de Mon Moulin - that mills and bakes its own bread.
Cons: Nothing. It was all good.
Pros: Room was spacious and comfortable. Excellent cuisine in restaurant.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Pros: The welcome by the hosts was unsurpassed for us. We loved the advices about the things to be done in the region and about the wines.
Pros: A lovely old chateau with modern rooms. Run by a very professional and friendly couple. Storage for our tandem bicycle was not a problem. We took advantage of their evening meal to avoid riding the 5km into St. Paul for dinner. A lovely meal and lovely conversation in French. Hosts speak English, too, but conversation might be more difficult.
Cons: Nothing bad to say. It was perfect!
Pros: This hotel, if this is what it is, is a one-off! It's delightful. Our room, the blue one, is more attractive and comfortable than it looks in the photos, and it has a magnificent shower room with superb modern fittings. Xavier and Veronique make you feel like a valued house-guest. We opted for their evening meal (and also pic-nics for the following day). We would encourage anyone booking to have the evening meal if they want to spend a very interesting evening with Xavier and Veronique.
Cons: Nothing. Well - they have a cat and a dog and we would like to have met them! But they are kept away from visitors. I'm not sure how the meal would work out if you couldn't speak a reasonable amount of French. Xavier speaks English but the others at the table were French. They all made an effort to involve us and to speak slowly so that we could join in. There is no tv in our room, which we didn't miss as we spent the evening downstairs having the very good meal and enjoying the company of Xavier's parents and other guests
Pros: The hosts were most friendly. We felt very welcome. We had a marvelous dinner at the table of the hosts. A wonderful concept The house (chateau) is situated in a beautiful country side. They offered us a welcome drink in the garden, a very nice gesture.
Cons: No complaints at all, everything was perfect.
Located in Cucugnan, this cottage is within a 15-minute drive of Château de Quéribus and Chateau de Peyrepertuse. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This property is a converted stables. Beautiful terrace for breakfast with a great view down the valley. Recommend the downstairs room (La Chapelle) for its access to the terrace. We appreciated the swimming pool and the aircon for cooling off in the heat. Because of Cucugnan's popularity as the nearest place to Queribus, you'll find good eating options in the village. Lovely spot and would stay again if we were ever there.
Pros: Clean and modern, with old world style. We had a private terrace that was wonderful for a glass of wine after touring castles all day.
Cons: The bath could have used better ventilation, steamy after showers.
Pros: Cosy room with large comfortable bed. Very good typically French breakfast.
Cons: Access by car is awkward and street parking just about passes muster
Pros: Warm welcome and good advice on where to eat
Pros: breakfast ,location
Cons: Limited towels no shampoo, poor soap if knew not available would have brought

Pros: The property is located in a quiet road with a lovely outside table area.
Pros: Although landlady did not speak English very well if ever, she tried to explain and/or show us everything needed and was very nice in general. Also provided breakfast was good.
Cons: Besides a very small window in the bathroom, the only other window was the glass entrace door, so in the night we had to leave the door opened to get in some fresh air. Not a big issue though, it was a very calm and seemingly safe place.
Pros: The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the area - especially the Cathar castles of Queribus & Peyrepertuse. Very quiet/peaceful and beautiful. The hosts were very friendly and available. A satisfying continental breakfast awaited us (at our requested time) in the morning. There were also helpful guides in the room, to let us know about the area.
Cons: The heat wave! This made things unexpectedly stuffy in the room, but a fan could relieve this easily. Since the rooms open to the outside, we couldn't open the doors to try to catch a breeze.
Pros: Jennifer is a delightful and friendly hostess. Excellent restaurant and bakery within walking distance. Good shower
Cons: Bed was not very comfortable
Pros: The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The situation is beautiful, just down the hill from the small town with shops and restaurants. Lovely view and breakfast on the terrace. Tea/coffee maker was a nice addition.

Pros: We stayed here after hiking. Friendly and welcoming hosts. The room was quiet and cosy, and very comfortable. The breakfast was good with toast, pastries and yogurt.
Pros: On arrival we had a lovely cup of coffee
Cons: The breakfast was not very good compared with other places we have stayed.

Pros: This little boutique b & b turned out to be a very pleasant stay. We found it to be super clean and very comfortable. We loved that we had a view from our window of the Queribus Castle. It was a delight to sit out on the patio in the afternoon to relax with a beer. In the evening, the restaurant turned out to be a gem. We really enjoyed our stay here. It is perfectly located for a visit to the Queribus Castle.
Cons: There really was not anything that we did not like.
Pros: Location. Air con.
Pros: The food at the restaurant was excellent. The staff very friendly.
Cons: The room was very basic. The plastic encased mattress was very uncomfortable. There was only a single wire-backed chair to sit in. I had to lug my baggage up and down a long spiral staircase. Between the staircase and the bed, I still have a backache.
Pros: Hotel rooms were clean, functional and quiet and attached to a bar/restaurant which served wonderful dinners and breakfasts. Parking was freely available close to the auberge. Staff were very friendly and the location was wonderful for visits to the castles.
Pros: the apartment was a good size and was away from the hotel up in the village itself. it was basic but very nice to have three bedrooms. it was pet friendly and in a good spot next to a nice restaurant.
Cons: the staff were hilarious - they didnt really care - i didnt mind as we were pretty relaxed and only looking for a one night stop over but I would have found it annoying if we had stayed longer.
Pros: The restaurant was an unexpected and welcome surprise at this location, absolutely great food, and a nice terrasse to sit outside! Otherwise the place is neat and good value for money, comfortable, clean - just what you‘d expect in that category.
Pros: Situated in good position for visiting Cathar castles. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent restaurant. Good breakfast. Simple room, and comfortable bed.We enjoyed our stay. Room accessed by external spiral staircase which some might find difficult.
Pros: Very friendly people and nice property in picturesque location. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Had to wait till 6pm for there to be someone to open the place.

Pros: I came totally off season; and I was the only guest. The host was very kind; she actually found me on the street when I was trying to find the right place - and she walked with me to the grocery shop so I would get food before they closed... I felt well cared for; the place was clean and nice and an absolute bargain for the money. The building - an old fort - was amazing to have as a home for one night. I'd love to come back.
Cons: Nothing could have been better.
Pros: Awesome off-season gîte, quiet, lots of character, glorious countryside around.

Pros: Food and wine
Pros: important for me was the private parking. ample private parking available. friendly staff.
Cons: amazing that still so many hotels in France do not provide a duvet for the bedding but still old blankets.
Pros: It was very quiet and peaceful. The room was comfortable and the scenery was superb. The breakfast was very good.
Pros: The hotel was in a beautiful location, and the room, though small, was very clean and comfortable
Cons: There was no kettle in the room. So necessary when on a touring holiday.
Pros: Beautiful setting next to the river. Close enough to town to be useful without the noise. Comfortable room with tidy en-suite. Reception friendly - good English spoken. Small swimming pool best suited for leisure rather than training.
Cons: I thought tea/coffee making facilities should have been included.
Pros: Hotel is in a beautiful location but accessible. Swimming pool is lovely - warm and clean. Room was fine - not large but clean and well equipped.Buffet breakfast good value.
Pros: Service efficient
Cons: Madame friendly & helpful but tried to hard English translations of menu & other hotel documentation require re-visiting as grammar does not make sense but makes for amusing reading
