My wife and I were blown away, not only with the property, but with the amazing service. I have a young child and she will be vacationing at this hotel throughout her child hood. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Great for adult and child activities. Well done Hyatt.
Pool area Wait staff not the friendliest at times
Facilities were nice, and staff was friendly. Not impressed with Lone Eagle Grille. Hostess and waitstaff were not competent. Gave us a wine list on a locked iPad. Did not provide the correct dinner menu. Options were limited, with few fresh vegetable options. Cafe was uncomfortable with hovering waitstaff.
The pool was an outdoor heated pool but wasn't warm enough. The property is very spread out, which is nice but can be difficult at the end of the day with young children.
The first few days of my stay I was solo and was there for business. My wife flew in for the weekend and we had a great stay at our home away from home. The Hyatt in Incline always does a great job and has the best staff of anywhere I have stayed. Keep doing a GREAT job. One elevator was not working for a couple of days on Presidents weekend which made for very long lines and wait times. Need to reinstall the chandeliers at the Loan Eagle.
Room was excellent, very clean, stylish, comfortable. Loved the restaurant across the street, great food, great live music, great cocktails. Room was a little too warm, couldn't adjust thermaostat.
Cleanliness Facilities Staff Restaurant Complentary champagne at check in. We staid in room 346 , beside the fact that we had to walk a lot to get to the room , the way the bathroom was built was no way you can get any heat in there , the showers were a nightmare to take. He had to keep the heat at 78 in room to get not even 68 in the bathroom. I was disappointed with the room we got, because I know for sure the hotel was not busy 1.5 weeks before Christmas. Overall I would recommend the hotel but not the room 346
Great location. Beautiful beach. Enjoyed the paddle board and kayak rentals.
The hotel is of relatively modest size. The lobby has been remodeled (not sure when) and is very very nice. Has a Tahoe lodge look, is dimly, but adequately lit, and is very welcoming. Our room did not have the best view, so we requested an upgrade. The manager on duty offered us one of their cabins by the lake as a free upgrade. Initially, we declined, but changed our mind. Not only did they give us the free upgrade, but they did the same for our friends! Thanks to Taylor, who was very gracious, professional and friendly. The room we initially had was on the fourth floor and did not have a view of anything but the roof and ventilation equipment. That was remedied, however.
Very nice and helpful crew. Clean rooms/comfy beds. Affordable. Great location. I'm a basic guy. I don't need a lot of amenities. I found it to be perfect for me.
Rooms near main road very noisy. Ask for updated rooms. Hotel owners are very nice and helpful.
The price was right
The kindness of the staff and the price. My wife also liked the old fashioned wall heater. I can' think of anything.
Staff pretty much left me alone and let me do my thing, and the room was comfortable enough.
The only thing that we found missing was the lack of coffee machine.
The value for money, given the location. The TV did not have a remote.
It's a nice inn. The lady at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. They recently replaced the carpet and beds so it was clean during our stay. This place is great if you don't care about the frivolous aspects of staying in a hotel/inn like a pool/continental breakfast/room service. The room I had was a spacious king and they offer free wifi and tv. It's close to some resturants, cafes, and grocery stores so the location is pretty nice. All in all, if you just need a nice place to sleep, it's a great choice for value. Otherwise, you might as well pay more for some other place. Showers are small, but then again...people are way bigger nowadays compared to when this inn was built (1950s) It's on Lake Tahoe Blvd, so you wake up earlier than you want from the traffic noise...but that's also expected if you look at a map.
Incredibly cheap, nice helpful staff, good location (if a bit noisy, located on the main highway) - not at all fancy, but good enough for the price.
wireless internet was too slow to be functional
Great for a place to sleep on short notice, and nice customer service. Our bathroom door didn't fit the door frame. So the door either didn't close or got stuck.
Located To sort mattress. April 19-21/2016 Doesn't work jacuzzi.
near heavenly gandola attraction it was too expensive . for the price i pay there was coffee only from 7 to 9 am .. i mean who does that !!
Location was good. The towels had makeup stains on them, the room smelled, the pool was broken. It was a cheap hotel, and it showed.
The room was very old, the smell of cigarettes was very strong, even though it was a non smoking room. There were at least 4 cigarrette stubs in the hallway next to our door. The towels were dirty with dark spots.
Location was OK, but that's about all that was good about this place Office not open 24 hours. Parking lot fills up quickly, hard to find parking. Found trash in room. No coffee maker. NO SMOKE DETECTORS IN ROOM. Pull out sofa bed blocks only entrance to room when bed is pulled out.
near where i needed to be. cheap, no hot water for a shower, none.
I do like the location, clean, bathroom was set up nicely. It was very noisy. when it rained it sounded like there was no insulation in roof could hear the rain just like my RV. no sound proofing in walls could hear everything from next door. gaps around the door. Very uncomfortable bed. stiff as a board.
Nothing Pure scum. Filthy and STINKY room. Outdated. Smelled so bad that we checked out within 25 minutes.
The location was great and the day clerk was very helpful. He helped me with traffic advice and alternate routes to my destination. The room heater worked really well, which was nice! The phone did not work and my items would not stay plugged into the outlets. There was a power strip under the desk, but it was pretty full and hard to reach. I felt as though I was imposing when I asked for help at midnight to get the people upstairs to finally stop playing ball with their dog. The night clerk said he would call, but I never heard the phone, and it made no difference anyway. Lucky dog got to play for a few hours!
Free internet The walls were the thinnest I have ever experienced at any hotel in my life. You can literally hear every word of your neighbors' conversations, day and night.
We really liked the kitchen unit and the location of our unit. They only had one washer and dryer. You needed to get the key to use the facility and the hours were limited up to 8:00 p.m. on week nights.
It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were bigger than I expected and the play area had a BBQ and a net for badminton and volleyball which the kids loved. They also had a small selection of videos in the lobby. It was within walking distance of the casinos, shopping and the lake. It was a little noisy with traffic, but the hotel itself was very quiet.
Great location, fairly quiet, double pane windows Interior walls don't seem to be well sound insulated. Hydronic heating system doesn't seem to cool (only heats).
Friendliness of staff and location. Room very dark which could be much improved with some updated window treatments.
I did not like my reservation experience. When I arrived in hotels system my reservation wasn't entered and I had to wait to clear up this issue. My luck was that hotel had a vacancy, if not I would be without facility
When I got there they did not have my reservations on file. The lady was very nice and called and they found it. I had booked it for 2 days but was very sick when I got there, (Bad cold) so I asked the lady at the front deck, if I can just stay one night and she said yes, they will just charge me one night. Very nice people working there.
Clean room where everything worked.
They cancelled our $72/night reservation for "renovations" and then it turned out they just wanted to charge $440 a night because there was a special event going on this weekend, and other similar hotels were charging a minimum of $300 a night. Luckily Kayak refunded my money and gave me a credit towards finding a new place because all that was left at that point would cost me at least $900 for the weekend. This hotel definitely cannot be trusted and I would strongly recommend any other place in Tahoe so that you don't have to worry about finding last minute accommodations if they decide they want to charge a higher price.
The location was a positive which was close to shopping, social events, casinos, and restaurants. The walk to the lake's beaches was just a few minutes. Someone repeatedly went into our hotel room over the course of our stay and once tried to access my laptop and failed leaving a security lockdown report for me to view later. On other days our items were gone through but no valuables taken. On our last day, all our Tahoe receipts and cellphone manual were stolen. Security is nonexistent so be prepared to bring a hidden camera to record the times that you are away from your room. I know it sounds like a private investigator went through our room but I was with my wife of twenty years so we had nothing to hide and if it was the maid service you're not going to pass up on cash and hundreds of dollars of jewelry lying around.
I liked the SPA.
This was a great little hotel & was real good value for money. Great location for all amenities & within seconds you were on the beach. Not only did we get vouchers for use in Heidi's next door for breakfast (fab breakfast) but you could also have a continental breafast at the front desk too. The staff were excellent & we found every one of them very helpful & always cheery. Will definately go back if we visit this area in the future.
It is close to lake and also close to nevada side nothin
Close to beach. Close to restaurants.
Literally 1 minute walk to shops. First we got there and the staff tried to put us in a room where you could see t hr ought a hole in the door. The inside of the door had been repaired (horribly I might add). They ended up moving us. The pool hadn't been working in ages, nor the hot tub. Free breakfast was cereal that sits there all day. Who knows how old it is. The wifi is so slow it really is useless. No ac! We came back in the middle of the day and our door to our room was wide open. With no one around with our stuff up for grabs for whoever dared. They told us this is common practice. We stood there for 5 minutes, still no maid in sight! Our door was the only one open! We prepaid our whole 6 night stay through kayak. When my husband went to return the key to the office she tried charging him $50 for not flushing the toilet one day (there plumbing was horrible. Had to flush 2 or 3 times each time!) The maid who seen the toilet apparently got sick and had to go home! So we had to pay her! Lol This place is such a joke!
The management was very accommodating to us. The room was clean and a good deal for the price. There was no air conditioning in the room but there was an adequate fan.
Nothing at all Very dirty rooms, had ants and spiders in the bathroom. Carpets were dirty ony thing done by maid services is making beds. Not AC only a fan. And no one was ever in the office.
Great location, and great price!
The motel is right across the street from the ski resort which is very convenient! Dirty motel. Buy a fitted mattress sheet for the bed instead of using a plane sheet. Found dirty socks under the bed. Fix your your cable TV so it doesn't cut out every 15 sec. Overall, cheap place to stay but I probably wouldn't stay here again.
Quite, all day parking, easy check out, great walking distance to the gondola, very dark room, plenty of space. Overall i just need a place to sleep while i wasnt snowboarding and this did the job. Pillows and bedway too hard, shower was very tiny, as well as the curtain for it, remote only did volume and channel control, shower head was ancient found a hair in my bed but not that big of deal really,
Dirty and disgusting. The room is dark. Show drain clogged. Won't recommended.
Great location for the price. Very friendly staff and adorable, spacious room!
Cheap and affordable. Literally right across from Heavenly Gondola, 5 minute walk to restaurants and casinos, 10 minute walk to beach. Manager was super helpful when I asked about Heavenly and other water activities. He gave me a bunch of brochures.. A lot of them had coupons inside. :) overall, it did its purpose. Provided my boyfriend and I with a bed to sleep on and a decent bathroom. We were outdoors most of the day and Tahoe was just a quick stopover during our road trip, didn't want to spend too much, so $60/2 nights was a great deal in my opinion. Not that I would use it anyway, but our room was right in front of the pool. It had chairs in it and was dirty, an eye sore. Nevertheless, it wasn't a big deal at all. Rooms and bathroom could be cleaner, but again, I'm not complaining.. For the location and price I got, I actually expected it to be worse than it really was.
great for price--basic and clean, good beds, good location, easy to find. plenty of room, perfect for just a quick overnight trip
I would prefer to have a coffee maker in the room rather than having to go to the front desk for coffee service.
The motel was clean and fairly quiet. I could hear traffic noise, but nothing from the adjoining rooms. For the price, the room was fine.
Close to lake and casinos. Great shower Sink clogged, too close to road could hear traffic passing all night Poor tv and choice of stations very limited, wifi costs extra
LocateLocation is great Everything else. Tv didn't even have an avc connection, brought my own player for nothing. Not even a little fridge and microwave? What the hell is it, 1987?!
They gave us keys to a room that had not been cleaned from prior customers. Walls in the bathroom had nasty stuff all over them, i'm not sure what it was. The room smelled and did not look clean at all. Hotel staff was very rude. People were hanging out in front of their hotel rooms drinking and partying all night and we did not get a good nights sleep.
Good price for the South Tahoe Area and close to everything
Yes, but it would take more than 15 words
Cheapest place in SLT. Conveniently located. Absolutely no amenities - no coffee maker in room, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, wi-fi was not free. But definitely ok as a crash pad after skiing!
location, price, cleaness of the room was poor. no warm water at tap most of time
the price was fair. the smell in the room an it was to small.
Honestly the only thing I enjoyed was, wait no I didn't enjoy this stay at all. Worst rooms I've ever been in. Stuffing was coming out of pillows, drool stains left on a case flipped inside out, and the towel rack in the bathroom kept falling off the wall. This was by far the worst experience I have had at a motel. Everything which says a lot because most things don't bother me.
The room was clean; the office staff was nice and courteous; air conditioning worked very good. i read previous review after i booked and was horrified. However, either the hotel changed drastically or some people don't know what a bad motel is like. The other reviews were unfair i feel. could use better lighting in the room; in room coffee would also be nice since the office did not prepare the complimentary coffee as early as i awake
Location was excellent, very quiet in the evening with clean rooms good option for the money. You can hear street traffic in the morning not good for a light sleeper no worries if your a heavy sleeper.
Staff was super helpful and responsive at night
The staff was every friendly. The hotel was decent, it was definitely not the Marriott but we had 7people with us and during the new year all the hotels raise up the prices. The hotel was okay for a one night stay
Stuff was very friendly. far from gondola
The location of the hotel is pretty good, internet WIFI connection is excellent. But that's it. The room was too small, the furniture is very old. The toilet didn't function properly. The towels were dirty. Breakfast even though it's included in the price and shown on their ads, in reality there is nothing you would eat or drink. When I asked about the breakfast in the morning around 8am they told me to come back in 10 minutes and turned the dirty coffee machine on. I wouldn't drink that coffee and there was nothing to eat.
Location is nice. Close to Heavenly and Safeway It says breakfast included but it was ONLY cheap donuts from Safeway! I chose this motel instead of others just because they had breakfast. Not even continental! This place must be forbidden to advertise as breakfast included.
Location - Great! Room quality - Good! Price - Fair! Bed comfort - No too good! :(
Easy to find, helpful hotel staff, clean spacious rooms, good bang for your buck! The pool was empty :(
Park your VEHICLE..you will not need it ..while you are staying here !!! Staying a Budget Inn on South Lake Tahoe was great! I could walk out my door and walk straight to the water within 2 minutes my feet where wet! The pool is clean and heated..for cool nights! The air works greart and the bed was comfortable for a good night sleep. I rented a bike just a minute away and rode all over, Great location in the middle of town. Fantastic coffee and sandwich shop, cvs, Rent water or ski gear, all is across the street. Italian, sushi, burgers, waffles, every type of food is wking distance. I caught the nifty 50 Trolly and went to the casinos a few times, took about 5ish minutes!
Front desk staff was nice, good location, quiet, ac worked well First room smelled strongly of urine. Asked for a different room, was given one without question. That room was better, but still an odor. Everything is run down and dirty. Cobwebs in bathroom.
Owner was very nice and accommodating. Fridge and micro. Larger rooms. Property is dated and needs some renovation.
Room smelled like smoke. Bathroom needs remodeling.
Not worth the money Rooms outdated , no AC , mold in showers , no smoke detectors , doors don't lock properly , cramped toilet area
After reading the reviews for this hotel I was unsure if I was going to enjoy my stay at the hacienda. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very gracious. The spa tub was very nice. Definitely worth the price. The hotel itself has a cabin type of appeal. It was a very comfortable stay.
The breakfast selection was really nice with a good variety.
Convenience and the pleasant and helpful staff
friendly staff, good location to all amenaties no
It was roomy, the bed was comfy and plenty of parking!
Clean, convenient, includes wireless internet, hbo , and goodie bags (toothpaste, tampons, Motrin), continental breakfast. Small rooms, temperature of shower is hard to control, poor towel quality.
cost Plastic platesl/cutlery for breakfast!
The front lobby personel were very helpful in answering quetions regarding the various site seeing/activities that were offered in the area. The towels for the guests were very small in size. You needed two per person just to dry off from a shower.
rooms were comfortable. price too high compared to other simillar hotels.1 mile away fr heavenly village
Convenience ;close to town. Staff helped find good restaurant Room was horribly over priced and very run down.
It was convenient for the lake
- Clean - Cheap - Good Location - Microwave/refrigerator in room - My room was at the back of the parking lot and was very quiet - Could hear next-door TV through wall (bring earplugs)
The room was pretty much as expected: clean, warm and featuring all the amenities listed on their website. The staff was friendly and efficient. It's located right in the center of South Lake Tahoe with easy access to plenty of local restaurants, casinos and hiking spots and is extremely convenient. Most of our destinations were within a mile of the motel. My only complaint is that some of the bath towels had light stains on them. They were obviously clean and had been washed but it was still a little off-putting considering the quality of the rest of the room.
Nothing the place was disgusting. It was zero degrees outside and our heater stopped working as well as our water. We asked for a refund and they said no because it happens when you stay in Tahoe. I'm disputing hi now but recommend finding a different place that won't treat you like an animal in the dead of winter when you wake up at 6am seeing your own breathe and shivering.
Small dirty, poor lighting no amenities tiny shower I can believe I paid $170 for a night at this room. Terrible.
It was cheap Staff was rude, room smelled very old, no fan just a heater, bed was not comfortable.
The cozy room with the sana
good enough for the money. no frills, but for staying close to skiing without breaking the bank, it gets the job done.
The staff was polite and curteous, they accommodated my pet even though they didn't have to. The room wasn't anything special but it was nice and cozy, it had its own heater, refrigerator and microwave. The location was great, a couple blocks away from Safeway and Ihop and about 1 1/2 miles away from Heavenly. Good hotel if you're budget conscious. The carpet was damp (most likely from a problem in the foundation as there were minor lumps in the flooring under the carpet). The walls were very thin, we could hear people in the room across the hall from us talking clear as day and the room above us had loud squeaky floors in certain places but overall good little hotel for the weekend if you're on a budget.
For a cheap one night stay, this place was perfect. Close to everything in Tahoe, easy to get in and out. Like other reviews have mentioned, the place looks like it was last renovated in the early 80s and it isn't particularly clean, so I wouldn't recommend it if that matters to you
Nothing everything we had are 1 year old with us we checked in to the room and first they put us behind the trash can so we got in the room and opened the drawer in the room and there were needle Caps so we dident even stay in the room
The comfort of the bed and the location, nothing else. It is close to restaurants, grocery stores and the lake. The worst hotel I ever stayed in! Definitely overpriced for that extent of dirt, broken facilities and kindness of the staff. Leftover food and mold in the microwave and refrigerator, dirt everywhere including toilet, shower and sink. Broken shutters, so that you were able to see the room from the outside, staff tried to hide this with a lamp. In comparison, holes in the wall, no electricity outlets and very poor internet connection were the less bad factors. The stay at that hotel riuned my vacation and the staff did not even listen to me when I wanted to check-out earlier.
This is run down, dirty and out of date. They put zero $ into it. I've stayed at several motels in SLT that are not great, but this is so bad its scary. Staff look like meth heads. They overbooked so we got the room with a large built in jacuzzi spa bath tub. That was fun! But it took a long time for the water to heat up to fill it.
