It's a nice inn. The lady at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. They recently replaced the carpet and beds so it was clean during our stay. This place is great if you don't care about the frivolous aspects of staying in a hotel/inn like a pool/continental breakfast/room service. The room I had was a spacious king and they offer free wifi and tv. It's close to some resturants, cafes, and grocery stores so the location is pretty nice. All in all, if you just need a nice place to sleep, it's a great choice for value. Otherwise, you might as well pay more for some other place. Showers are small, but then again...people are way bigger nowadays compared to when this inn was built (1950s) It's on Lake Tahoe Blvd, so you wake up earlier than you want from the traffic noise...but that's also expected if you look at a map.
Rooms near main road very noisy. Ask for updated rooms. Hotel owners are very nice and helpful.
The only thing that we found missing was the lack of coffee machine.
Staff pretty much left me alone and let me do my thing, and the room was comfortable enough.
The kindness of the staff and the price. My wife also liked the old fashioned wall heater. I can' think of anything.
Very nice and helpful crew. Clean rooms/comfy beds. Affordable. Great location. I'm a basic guy. I don't need a lot of amenities. I found it to be perfect for me.
Incredibly cheap, nice helpful staff, good location (if a bit noisy, located on the main highway) - not at all fancy, but good enough for the price.
The price was right
The value for money, given the location. The TV did not have a remote.
Great little spot away from Stateline. We wanted something closer to the beaches & with a more local feel, the Apex was it! Rooms are small but clean & have everything you need. Well definitely be back!
i didnt like one thing about the apex inn. the service was terrible, the rooms were way too small and they charged me extra for having a couple friends over at the room. overall very bad experience.
Clean, fridge, and easy access. You can hear every word from the televisions and people in the other rooms.
Good location. Nice small hotel for budget travel.
Loved the bed. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever had at a hotel. The shower was beautiful and the room was nice. The management/owner was very nice. I would go there again and stay there. I did not like there was no television, but he said they were getting cable next week. The door did not go all the way down to the ground so it did get a little noisy from the traffic going by, but the owner just purchased it so I am sure that will be fixed by the time I go back.
There was coffe and a coffee pot but no cups sugar creamer etc. also the room had no air conditioning which wasn't to bad for me because I was only there one night in the evening but didn't see that in advertising for that price they need A/C
In-room whirlpool tub Fireplace Large bathroom Away from casinos Creaky bed with poor mattress Updated with poor quality Loose faucets
No airconditioner in the room so you have to open the door and window to let the cool breeze in. There are hairs in the sheets and blood on the blanket. No staff present to change them. The bed was too soft shows that it was really old. Gave us backache the next day.
The bed was surprisingly clean & comfortable. That was about the only thing we liked. Bottom barrel amenities (more like "What amenities!") The bathroom was absurdly tiny, with minimal towels, one bar of soap, no shampoo, and not even a bath mat. The most bizarre detail was that there were no maids. The guy at the front desk (Douglas?) did everything himself, from checking you in, to "cleaning" the rooms. Although the motel is in a decent location, the place just never gave off a safe vibe. That was, without a sliver of doubt, our last stay at Aerie Lodge.
Away from the Stateline crowd!
