Pros: Room was spacious, scrupulously clean and very comfortable with aircon which was great. Lovely ensuite with overhead shower. Hairdryer bathrobes slippers, tea/coffee making facilities. We were greeted warmly and offered refreshments. The breakfast was delicious with a large selection of cereals, baked goods and fresh fruit followed by a set menu which included a full English with eggs done to your liking. Overall it was a pleasure from start to finish and we'll be back next time we're visiting York.

Pros: The room was very well furnished with many facilities. Indeed, it would put many high rated hotels to shame. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good value at £5.
Cons: Arrived at 2.45pm but was unable to check in until after 5.00 pm.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast and room very comfortable. Staff very friendly, a little further from the racecourse we were visiting than expected but easy to arrange a taxi.
Cons: Heating was on (July) so had to go around and turn off rads and open windows in the middle of the night as it became a little stuffy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great shower
Cons: Sockets need to be relocated from behind furniture to make accessible.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully presented breakfast, delicious fresh food and all served with warm smiles.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Central location with rapid access to main routes. A comfortable clean room with full good quality facilities. The breakfast was excellent, with home made granola and yoghurt a highlight.
7.5 Good
Pros: Parking is very helpful. Breakfast very nice. Staff are friendly. Room really clean.
Cons: Can't book into room until 5pm onwards. A bit out of town. Rooms at the front will have road traffic noise. Didn't bother us but if you are a light sleeper it will.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and a comfortable bed.
Cons: Little bit warm and on busy road so opening window made it quite noisy. Check in of 5pm is very late
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean modern room. Large fluffy towels. Scrummy breakfast with great coffee.
Cons: I didn’t like that I hadn’t realised the radiator was on in the morning of the hottest day of the year-my fault. I didn’t like that I left my pyjamas behind-my fault!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcoming personality of Carol on reception

Pros: I have stayed at the Wentbridge on most of my visits to Pontefract. It is excellent, its rooms luxurious. It is close to main routes and the perfect base for wider exploration of wider Yorkshire The breakfast is of particularly high quality and always a highlight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: On arrival there was a welcome drink and nibble. The breakfast was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful throughout the whole visit.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got married here in 2014 so always lovely to go back and nice to see the hotel and staff still strive for and achieve an excellent standard! The perfect hotel
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, nice comfortable room, good service and good food. The accommodation was really good value for money
Cons: Food and drink a little expensive
7.1 Good
Pros: The welcome was great, and the room was prepared well.
Cons: While the hotel side was lovely if not a bit dusty, the evening meal we were served as part of an event we attended was very disappointing. A single piece of salmon upon a gelatinous blob of risotto rice. Overcooked fish, undercooked rice and no vegetables, (unless you asked for and waiting for a vegetarian option of 5 spears of asparagus... upon the rice). Oh, and the "butter" was some sort of creamed margarine. The wait staff seemed unprepared and new to the job. Breakfast however was very good. By other's accounts of previous stays, this was well below the usual and expected standard, but being our first time it has left a negative impression.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice window seat in room. Very comfy bed and nice bedding.
Cons: Ate in the brasserie. Toast for starter was burnt & had to send back. Edges of burger for main course burnt too. Very expensive burnt meal! Had run out of some items at breakfast buffet. Bed had bright Barbie pink headboard with pea green wall behind - hideous! Room was at top of staircase near function room below. Loud music kept us awake. We were told 'next time' to book a different room - why do arrogant hotel managers assume you will go back when you have not enjoyed your stay!?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden view, amazing friendly staff, will defiantly always book this hotel in future.
Cons: Nothing x
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The staff couldn’t have been better. The room was delightful. The food was lovely.

1.0 Poor
Cons: No fault of staff or hotel, but power went out at 18:30 in the Evening, and did not come back on until 04:00 the following morning. Staff kept everyone informed, and offered torches candles, but a little disappointing that full price was charged on Check Out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was for my sons wedding beautiful day staff amazing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 99% excellent. Would have been a full 100% were it not for the very rude and abusive night manager after my daughters wedding. He is a blot on an otherwise beautiful landscape. Staff here are the best, of the highest standards anywhere, he has let them down by his behaviour. Food, rooms, facilities, planners, everyone except him cannot be faulted. Money cannot buy better. Thankyou all......hope he is gone soon so you all get the credit you so well deserve. Fantastic place
Cons: Night Manager/Porter Horrible little man with a danger to business attitude Lord Sugar required......

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfasts, comfortable bed, stylish room. Evening meals tasty and good value. We were in town for an event at nearby Rogerthorpe Manor and it was very well located for this.
Cons: They had a band on Friday night, didn't bother us but light sleepers or those that like an early night might want to bear that in mind. There doesn't seem like there's a whole lot to do in the surrounding area but to be fair we didn't do a whole lot of exploring.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean well kept and run pub/Inn. Very good food, very nice hosts, Highly recommended stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Manor House style hotel in beautiful surroundings. Very picturesque and an excellent place to stay. Good food and very helpful staff. A 10minute walk into town and great location for the racecourse. The building looks well maintained although some of the rooms are in need of a little modernisation. Our room was good but in the centre of the main building and had no outside view which made it feel a little claustrophobic. All in all though couldn't say anything bad about our stay. We would stay here again.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Jean was lovely and very welcoming and great location
4.2 Okay
Pros: All the rooms were really clean in my opinion.
Cons: - Refused to tell me price of food before hand - Took ages to answer the door - Food gave me the runs! - Disgusting food was overpriced - Gave me WRONG change at first - Asked me where I was “originally” from just because I am a person of colour. (Was born and raised in the UK) - Gave me incorrect passcode of WIFI and refused to do anything about it - Didnt say bye to me when I left
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and landlady was lovely
Cons: The sofa bed was too hard and the cooked breakfast was too oily and a little burnt.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Mattress tilted down on side and springs creaked from age, bedding has blood spot on it that hadn’t washed out, tea, milk, coffee in room tasted ancient and looked like it had been picked up from cafes, the kettle in the room smelled faintly of burning, the smoke detector in room was taken down, the room smelled of dog, there was one bath towel and one hand towel between two, one towel smelled of damp, we got charged for two breakfasts we said we didn’t want, I thought it was funny when the owner said “oh I made you a continental breakfast but you didn’t come down...I’ll put your cereal back”. I said we told her we didn’t want it and I thought I bet she tries to charge me for that, which is exactly what she did. An extra £32 came out of my bank for four breakfasts, none of which my daughter and I had or asked for. I am still waiting for the refund to land. Wouldn’t ever stay there again if I wasn’t forced to.
Cons: See above
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of parking owner friendly helpful, Clean and tidy Location ideal for me several take away near Pubs and restaurants
Cons: room dated but clean television small and old
6.3 Good
Pros: Discounting the breakfast, which was extra, I would have said it was reasonable value for money if it weren't for the meagre pillow.
Cons: The stale, chewy cornflakes; nasty-tasting milk (may have been UHT as I don't think it was off); random 'plastic' cheese placed on the fried breakfast without asking - we were asked whether we wanted all the (more usual) ingredients of a fried breakfast; the splattered cream in the fruit juice (an accident but when realised, it was whisked away and a replacement drink was not offered, not even water). Being charged £25 cash (no advance notice that cards weren't an option) for three £8 breakfasts. £1 a small point but, given that, as well as the above, I'd had to hunt out my own bath towel (no answer to knocks on the closed downstairs doors and, being British, I was reluctant to ring the phone number) and the pillow was indescribably thin, I mention it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very Good, nice people I was even given a packed lunch
Cons: nothing
