Bathroom, hotel entrance. Imo, Not quite 5 star. I've staying in 4 star hotels in ireland that I felt were nicer therefore don't feel this hotel is good value for money.
space, comfort location kitched could have been better equipped with utensils. for longer stays with a family, a laundry would be required
The staff were friendly and efficient at check-in. The room was spacious and clean and had a lovely view of the city. The king bed was comfortable however the doona had a black mark on it and the sheet had a little tear (probably not what you would expect from a five star hotel).. Check out was a lengthy process but overall we had a pleasant stay. I didn't really like the 'make shift' wall between the bathroom and bedroom and there was no bath tub (we stayed in the Deluxe King Suite)
the pool and gym facilities, the room was very comfortable
I liked the location as I was there to shop and to attend business meetings. The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful.
Comfortable bed. modern design. Shower was not quite as luxurious as expected.
Courteous welcome from valet parking staff and convenience of being connected to the rest of the Crown complex.
Location was good. In the CBD, and close to Southern Cross Station and trams. No WiFi included. You can purchase it (with limited data) for $22 daily, but it's for ONE device only. There were few amenities. They did the absolute minimum. Staff was unfriendly except . We would have cancelled if it had been possible.
Location Hotel picture reflect main building but my room was 612 in sort of apartment building, no cleaning service for entire stay.
The place wasnt that small and quite clean The check in and check out time doesnt seem quite flexible and they ask money for keeping out luggage till check in time even for 3 hrs. The night audit is very rude. No wifi in the area even when they said there's wifi in public area. Not recommended
We chose it for it's location. It is adjacent to the Melbourne Convention Centre Plenary auditorium where we attended a presentation by the astrophysicist Dr Neil DeGrass Tyson. There was a small light in the bathroom which was on all night, no control switch to be able to turn it off.
close to convention centre no milk in fridge on 2 days. no hair conditioner on one day
excellent knowlegable staff some facilities need renovation
We enjoyed the view also the service was fantastic the staff are so friendly. . being woken at 7.00am for laundry that we didnt order.
service was exellent from all areas, room was well appaointed, staff very freindly
fantastic service no
We loved the King size bed, pillows & doona. We also loved the shower/bathroom. The alarm went off at 6am, we did not even set the alarm.
A great hotel that was in a fantastic location. Staff were friendly and always accommodating. Also they
Location of the hotel and helpfulness of the staff. The room was not cleaned until late in the afternoon.
Great location, staff, environment, and atmosphere. Great price No suggestions. Was a wonderful experience
Location Price of breakfast
comfortable bed not really - a little noisy
Excelent central location, close to shops and Railway station, clean and tidy all services adiquite ,decor average. To describe our room as Deluxe would require a vivid imagination.Good basic at best.
friendly staff, convenience of hotel, air conditioning, quietness price
Easy access to the rest of the city The TV was old and didn't work very good. It was also hard to see the bed from the other single bed
Super stay with a terrific location.
Very convenient for the CBD and the tourist bus & tram The hotel won an award in 2010 for renovations - i don't think they checked room 728. While my hotel room was cleaned every day thoroughly - it was disappointing to see such stained carpet; also as the ventilation in the bathroom was not good, there was a faint smell of "drains"
Unable to open windows - air conditioning either too hot cold or too cold. Very claustrophobic.
The service and cleanliness Very goog experience and proximity of the center of the city
Location Checking in 1/2 hour before I was supposed they said have to wait 1.5 hours for room but spoke to manager and she fixed that
What a gorgeous place!!! The attentiveness of the staff was fantastic. the food was wonderful - I ate at the Melba and although it was exspensive it was exceptional food. The room was lovely. My primary reason for selecting the hotel was the old world charm of the hotel. I don't see value for money in modern hotels. I booked 2 rooms for myself and my husband, our older son and a family friend and would do so again. We all had a massage at the Chuan Spa which I found was outstanding. The staff there were amazing and the masseur although young was extremely talented and well trained. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. If you like comfort and extreme luxury and to be surrounded by beauty. I think it is the best in Melbourne.
The view of the river and the great concierge. first room was not a river view as stated, but this was corrected.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Location to see all of Melbourne excellent. The air conditioning in our room was poor and it got quite hot.
Room was great, public areas great and staff very very good Excessive charges for internet
We look forward to staying at The Langham Hotel again when we next visit Melbourne. Our every need was catered for with grace and cheerfulness. This is a 'happy' hotel from room staff, to people on reception, concierge, and those servicing gourmet venues. Small but important details like bottled water beside the bed each night distinguished this hotel from others we have stayed at.
George, the front door greeter was amazing. Very helpful and friendly.
lobby entrance, staff, elegance, lighting
Very friendly staff and great facilities. Hotel charged rate different to booking.com
The Hotel was chosen for it's luxury & location. It did not disappoint. All the facilities and staff were first class.
Breakfast was a rediculous price as was Internet connection.
his is a fantastic hotel its very luxurious. The pillow were very uncomfortable thats al.
Good 5 star hotel, has enough facilities including in-door pool and health centre. 24 hours taxi queue is an advantage. Integration with the Casino and all facilities, outlets and restaurants. Do not have coffee specific shop as well as 7-11 type shop. This can be integrated with casino facilities
I liked having the City at my fingertips. We had a 50th party to go to, so we came in early did some shopping first, then relaxed at a number of coffee shops.
The room was very comfortable and the staff were outstanding. Service was excellent and even allowed early check-in. Rooms are not cheap but well worth it if you want a bit of luxury. Outstanding views and great location as we were attending a function at Crown.
The hotel is good because its the city center and connected with the shopping mall and casino
The rooms are excellent The room service food was average
the facilaties were were good and the staff were helpful the room was not clean it had stains on the pillow covers and hair in the bottom of the shower this kind of thing turns myself and other buisness partners away from horels of this nature
That it was located in walking distance to everything that i needed! The in room breakfast was very over priced
the hotel is really good and the staffs are kind and helpfull. the location of the hotel is in the centre of the city which helps us save a lot of money.
a good place to stay when you want to visit melbourne downtown, valet parking service is good. All Astralian hotels have a very high charge on network connection and unreasonable on the charge model, A$0.55 per min, upto A$29 per day, the charge is over 10% of room rent. also, the parking charge is A$35 per day, over another 15%.
very friendly, obliging staff I am a smoker. The GH should find a way to accomodate guests who smoke within the hotel.
Location I didn't like the fact that they had no record of my booking, even after I gave them the booking reference. I had to print out a copy of your email before they would believe me. Either you or the hotel stuffed up. I was told there were no rooms but they then found one upon presentation of the printout. the room was obviously one they don't usually reserve for full paying guests.
The club lounge
The new rooms were very comfortable..great views Even tho we have stayed there before they put us in an old room ..we asked to be changed...they recovered well
The club room was excelent just need a sellection of hot breakfast in the morning, and more sellection of beverage, but everything was good. sellection or type of pillow in hte room.
çity location and the view of the city yes the lack of tea coffee in the room, extra blankets ordered were old and torn, not enough room service and room was small and needs redoing.
the grandness of the old hotel the staff were detached from thier customers
The staff were helpful & friendly & we had a pleasant stay. The room was a little small & the view we had wasn't that good. Hotel didnt have my booking details/confirmation but quickly got this sorted.
The proximity to the Princess theartre and the top end of the city, it's opulence and it's international reputation.
it is getting a bit tired in terms of decor
Friendly staff, lovely old world hotel that could be a little better with not much effort I did not like the lack of a quiet lounge for refreshments and a quiet chat. The Goring in London sets the standard.
The Windsor is an old word, luxury hotel which always impresses me. There was nothing I can suggested.
Great hotel. Within walking distance from most major CBD tourist attractions, and right next to a circle tram stop. Very clean and spacious rooms.
I chose the hotel for it's proximity to the event I was attending, the staff were very helpful. Although it has old world charm, I think it needs some renovation.
Location We stayed 2 nights for our 10th wedding anniversary and were extremely disappointed with the quality of the room
The Windsor was convenient to the functions we had to attend. It was old style, and friendly..
Location is amazing for everything, shoping, sightseeing and restaurants. Just the architecture of the hotel needs to be seen, it is amazing and we cant wait to stay again
Getting away from home, shopping shopping and shopping weekend ended, time to go back to work :(
I loved how friendly the staff were, and that they were more then happy to help you I was disappointed that there wasn't any decent foxtel channels.
service and suite layout
I was upgraded which was fantastic!
Perfect choice to stay while attending the theatre followed by shopping the next day
Location was good although not absolutely central. Large variety of restaurants close to hand - Asian, Indian, Greek, etc. Hotel is marketed as top of the range 5 star but its standard/quality does not reflect this rating. Too many things not up to scratch. Very disappointing.
Excellent service from the staff who very helpful to our enquiries, especially organising a hire car for us, and forwarding some articles that were left in the room. We found our stay most satisfatory.
great location Only 1 lift working for the whole 3 days
The respect shown by staff including housekeeping staff especially in relation to entry of apartment. The comfort was pleasing and our questions in relation to locations were accurately and happily passed on. The disappointment if any was our choice of room service meals.
Everything is awesome at this Hotel. The elevator is very romantic, the rooms are out of this World. Is a very good place to have fun. It is just at heart of Downtown Melbourne.......
I like area of CBD, always clean, comfortable and good value for money, i received a wakeup call at 6.30am which I did not request
Convenient location for Etihad Stadium, Southern Cross Station and cbd. Inconvenient access. Kept waiting for a long time on phone to reception.
Staff were very helpful and friendly
Functional, good service
The price 4 internet connection was 2 high. 9.95 $ per hour.
friendly service, basically same as other hotels, nothing exceptional but for teh price adequate If not for a complaint, then I will say I did not like how the billing procedure is organised-no explanation given as to your regulations.
It was perfect for my needs. I was there for business and close to the city and all public transport.
Close to railway station SC , Close to the Docklands, and City centre The bed was just right for Mumma and Poppa Werrett for a big afternoon sleep after getting back from NZealand and haveing a brunch on the Docklands, loved it
Location excellent for sport, shopping, transport easy to get around
location and they are going to send a forgotten item back my wife stubbed her toe on the door stop in the bathroom. needs repositioning.
Convenience to conference centre at ANZ building, also to shopping and restaurants.
It was quiet and comfortable. Would have prefererred a room with a view.
Room was comfortable. Central location (though hard to find for a first time visitor because it is on a small side street. Price was very good compared with most downtown Melbourne hotels. All the extra charges. WiFi is free only in the lobby and only for 15 minutes per day. We had to pay $50 for wifi for three days. Parking added $20 extra day.
Paying $75 for a small bottle of australian champagne
I liked the convenience to restaraunts and Rod Laver Arena.Enjoyed the view from the room and chocolates for our anniversary.
The friendly & professional staff, always willing to help & answer any questions. The room & gym facilities were fantastic, the views were amazing! The hotels location was close to the major shops and transport. I would highly recommend the hotel and look forward to staying there again when I return to Melbourne in the future! Found the the air cond could have been cooler. Only felt the coolness when seated close to the windows, not whilst in bed or any other part of the room. However it we did not bring this to the hotels attention.
Was set for a pickup at hotel from tour company and when they were not there concierge took charge of situation by locating and calling all 3 direct numbers available until he got ahold of someone. Timing was critical as missing a tour has its own bucket of problems because of his urgency response the tour was located and all proper arrangements were honored. He was solid. Excellent location views breakfast Wifi did not work in room. Acoustics from outside in. Mattress was uneven in firmness.
Ideal location Large and impersonal hotel
Good location, beautiful city views, romantic environment and nice staffs.
Cleanliness, staff attitude
Great location, near to the main shopping areas, Great food Hall and shopping under the actual Hotel complex, Fantastic view from our 45th floor room.
Excellent service from staff. We stayed in a club level room that provided a quality breakfast, sandwich lunch, afternoon tea then canapes and drinks for a pre dinner. The staff were very keen to assist in any requests
the excellent service and the central location
The bed was amazing, the views spectacular, staff were very polite and very helpful. A little bit of sand in my mushrooms at breakfast time and the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan but other than that everything was perfect!
The decor of the hotel was amazing and there was a definite wow factor when you arrived in the big ornate lobby with high ceilings. The central atrium was also a spectacular feature. Although the hotel may be at the 'Parisien' end of the Collins Street and it may be owned by a French group, the 'bonjour' greeting from staff was a little contrived if not pretentious.
All was good great nice room great location Reseption could not find reservation and not given a deluxe room as booked
We Find it very Convenient The View from the room
the location the staff at hotel bar were rude and the linnen on the bed not comfortable.
easy access to crown entertainment centre.
close to the city centre, close to major places ie casino, easy to access trams and transport to major sporting events
good service clean rooms good views very welcoming staff i wouldnt have a problem staying again
Good location The room smelled
It was comfortable and in a convenient location. Staff, service, facilities and location were very good overall. Although we booked for 4 nights with no changes to our original booking, we were asked by staff after 2 days what time we were checking out that day - a little puzzling? Also, our room rate included breakfast, but we were questioned about this each morning.
The view n/a
Location was great . location of room overlooking the river and was fantastic
Muy amplia la habitacion, bien la decoracion, la ubicacion muy centrica, muy amables las personas de recepcion.... en fin... muy buen hotel!!! La regadera... a los 4 minutos de estarte banando, se salia el agua hacia todo el bano.
It was clean, modern, large rooms, kitchen facilities and very helpful staff,
Location and comfort of room
The room was lovely. Spacious and clean. Great shower. Good to have the option of cooking if you wanted to. Very peaceful and relaxing environment with professional, friendly staff. Fabulous location. No room service.
The location is central to everything in Melbourne Could have more comfortable pillows
Great location with all modern facilities, including electronic security pass. Limited parking, however book it early and there is no problem.
spotless, close to all the shops in the city It was all good
Great location. Good facilities. Compact and clean. We were charged $25 per night to have twin beds in one room. There was never any mention that a fee would be charged for this simple request. I had previously emailed their reservations department and I was not advised of these charged. The fees were wiped when we complained at check-out. Price was very high - $1450 for 3 nights - 2 bedroom apartment during the Australian Open. Premium price paid for a small apartment.
I loved my stay at Citadines. The hotel room was perfect, it wasn't cluttered, and was simple but the technology was great. My favourite part was the location - central to shopping, restaurants, tram stops. It was perfect. I would definately stay there again, and would definitely recommend to friends Maybe access to a DVD player would be good
There was on 1 lift working to the room I was allocated. This resulred to extra time need to wait for lift
the location is close to train station and is easy for us to visit the city The wifi !!!!! spend for $20 to 3 days and even have 750MB limitation !!!! other things like slippery is not provided in hotel......
Price. Close to city downtown. Walls need some painting. Sofa has visible color wear. Internet is up and down.
That we were close to the Docklands as we needed to be
Good location, pretty much directly opposite Southern Cross station.
Excellent location for access to public transportation in CBD and to/from airport. Clean, safe and excellent staff!
good bed Horrible bathroom and TV remote didn't work.
The location & the views from the windows I felt the in room movies were over priced.
Lovely swim in the basement pool. A fine hotel, great view of the city, everything you need and a decent price.
Room safe was bonus. Awesone location right on the city center trolley route. Room clean and bed comfy. Nice having a fridge in the room. Vety close to southern cross station. No free wifi. But can get free wifi elsewhere in the city. Couldn't get into room early.
Convenient location. Basic hotel.
The room was great as was the service of hotel staff. Nice view and nice location since quiet but close to central business district and trams. Restaurant closes pretty early.
Proximity to all sites in CBD, Victoria Market, free public transportation. Friendliness, helpfulness, knowledge of staff. Kitchenette & amenities. Comfort of room & bed. Room size. Modern bathroom. All appliances & plumbing worked properly. Long waits for lift (and always crowded). Erratically working (or non-working) in-room Wi-Fi. Not enough sugar packets for tea or coffee. Housekeeping service generally did not arrive until 3-4 pm.
Superb location; nice rooms; excellent lap pool. Walls paper-thin, can hear neighbors' conversation. Housekeeping often took until late afternoon to clean room; they do a good job, but clearly need additional workers.
Kitchen/pots/pans etc. Bed was comfortable. Service was great. Staff did not bother me much at all which is what I prefer, but when I did have a question they were on point and quick to resolve my issue. No bathtub, and the room heated up very quickly without AC blasting the entire time.
we were extremely comfortable Our only issue was the positioning of the light switches - the switch for the bath and above bar niche was by the entrance door. No bedside lamps or any form of subtle lighting for night illumination at bed
Suite was quite comfortable and location was pretty handy to everything Lounge/Sofa in suite was atrocious. Plastic/fabric was terrible. Looked low class and you could not comfortable sit on it for any period of time. Room cards deactivated twice (not due to contact with any magnetic interference or contact). This is a real pain when you need to access the room urgently and you are forced to head back to reception, stand in line and then have a front desk person patronise me and treat me like I caused the issue. I was most offended and annoyed.
Service was excellent location for mcg was excellent pricing was good and staff very helpful
assistance from concierge
I loved the fact that we were upgraded to a relaxation suite free of charger... the room was perfect..
Location just opposite Fitroy Gardens was very nice. It was a 10-15 minute walk into the main city centre which meant it was a bit quieter. Staff were very helpful. Room, and leisure facilities were great. If you wanted to be right in the city centre it was a short walk or tram ride.
close to tennis centre venue for concert we went to. Considered to be over priced. Hot shower pressure pathetic - just a dribble. Lounge in room was uncomfortable - harsh nylon material cover. paid $450 a night for room (although I did appreciate the free up grade) - yet still had to pay $45 for valet parking. buffet breakfast $29 = hmm. A Hilton burger for ? $25 or whatever then $4 to bring to room, and a glass of ordinary Red wine for $12, considered to be excessive..
The staff were very helpful and friendly The shower water came out like a tap and wet the bathroom floor.
Good location if you want to be close to city & the inner city suburbs The hotel is in desperate need of updating
During my stay I found the staff very friendly and the service excellent. I was under the impression that the room had a king size bed. This was not the case, it was two single beds joined together by an underblanket. This put a dampener on the stay.
