Looking at this place from the outside, you think it is going to be pretty Sweeeeeet! Overall it was, except for the room. Room was clean, but not close to being worth $250 a night. Room was more like what you would see in a 2.0 star hotel. Nothing to brag about at all. If the room was as nice as the rest of the resort you wouldnt be able to say much bad about this place. I would have to say they ARE understaffed for a place this large. Hard to find anybody to help you at times. Seriously, the staff was outstanding if you could find them. However, the rest of the resort was very nice. Actually beautiful atrium area with restaurants (Steak, Italian, Mexican food), good sized fountain, flowers, trees, and other things as well. There were quite of few shops as well bars and sports bars in the resort. They did have a Starbucks in the lobby as well (which made the wife happy as well as the rest of that loooooooong line waiting to get their fix). The water park they have (for guests only) was pretty nice. Adults and kids alike were all enjoying it. They did have a really nice bar there and also served food if you wanted to make a day of it. Overall, pretty nice place The room is a lot to be desired. Stayed at better rooms in a lot CHEAPER motels. Yes, it was clean, but for a $250 a night resort room, I would definitely expect more. A bit understaffed for a place this large. Hard to find anybody to help or even ask questions to, at times. Having to pay $19 dollars to SELF park is ridiculous But then so is $30 for them to park it for you.
The gaylord sent me and my 4 yr old granddaughter to the great wolf lodge to swim because their pool was closed and my granddaughter told them all at the reception desk what she was going to do while she was swimming and they felt so bad that they made her 4th birthday perfect. The only thing I did not like was the confusion at check - in because they could not find my reservation.
The Gaylord Texas was a great stay. We had problems when I got to the hotel (but not with the Gaylord Texan) we called the front desk and they moved us into a larger king size room, large enough to fit two roll away beds for the kids at no extra charge. After this problem the vacation was wonderful. When I booked the hotel room I put down 4 adults where I thought their would be enough room for all four but when we got to the room it was a standard size king room with only a king size room. I was expecting a pull out bed or at least couch for 4 adults. I would suggest showing a room layout for the consumer so someone doesn't get confused with what they are purchasing.

Room was clean, if you have family there is a lot for kids to do (at least around xmas which is when we went) Glass Cactus club was neat. The pre-check in email asking what your preferences are... DON'T waste 1 minute of your time on that! asked for either a higher room/floor OR a view room... Specifically made a note in the comments that a room higher up was desired.. Got a parking lot, first floor room and the hall was FULL of kids and no parents! Kids were running up and down the halls all day and HALF the night... Also, restaurant staff was not very friendly, lost my reservation and then tried to make ME look like the fool.... But I had a confirmation email to prove the reservation.... So it was just a poor experience.. Staff was either great OR terrible... Grossly understaffed... I know for $220/night it felt more like a "fancy" 2.5 star hotel... I have had much better service at cheaper big-brand hotels and this hotels amenities dod NOT warrant the cost.. I had high hopes for this resort and sadly was let down..

Location is perfect for short stays near DFW due to being co-located with Southlake Town Centre shopping mall. This gives you walking access to shops and restaurants and is a lovely place to hang out.
The staff were great! We had a group of teenagers camped in front of a broken vebding machine. After I informed the staff they promptly restocked the vending machine and fixed it. A few cons, as with anything. Overall, the hotel has a good location and I would recommend this hotel to future families passing through DFW. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable for my children. In addition our room was very warm. We set the thermostat as low as it would go and we still could not get the temperature below 71. Since we were only there one night we did not have it looked at. However given the attentiveness the previous day I have no doubt it would have been looked at promptly.
Evening Reception, and The Breakfast! Room AC wasn't the best in the bedroom. The entry to my room air seemed to circulate well, but the room got hot at night.

We enjoyed our brief stay! Wonderful staff and accommodations at a great price. It is right across the highway from shopping and dining. It offers a restaurant and full bar and outside fire feature, pool and green area for play. We will stay again in the future.
Modern look. Great location close to highway, eateries and shopping. As of today, Cambria is still in process of getting ready to fully open. Workers all over lobby area and in hallway completing what seemed to be rooms, electrical work, computer system, etc. This was not posted anywhere while booking room. Checked in around 5pm, room was not ready. Stood there 10-15 minutes while receptionist talked with housekeeping and figured out situation. Entered a very cold room with a/c blowing, took an hour to warm up room. Coffee/Tea station not complete w/ typical condiments. Shower is half open with no door, glass covering other half where showerhead is. This looks sleek but allows a cold draft to come through, leaving shower to be cold since 'hot' setting was luke warm water at best. No shelf in shower, all your belongings will have to sit on the floor or you'll have exit the shower to put soap, etc on a clean surface by the sink. Heater blew cold air in morning, even at 80 degree setting. Maybe this is what the guys in the hallway were working on. One light switch controls all power to other lights, if this is not on then all light fixtures, except lamps but including bathroom, will not work. Upon checkout, they asked if I'd like to receive the bill via email. After giving my email, no receipt was ever sent. The next day I had to call back for the receipt to be emailed, which appeared in my inbox immediately. Majority of these concerns were made known to the staff but no efforts were made to accommodate these frustrations. It was acknowledged as, "we figured there would be some kinks to work out after 2 days of being open."
Indoor water park is included with your stay. We have been going to the Great Wolf every December for 9 years now. Our three kids have always enjoyed our stay here until this year 2016. Sadly this location is in decline and needing to be running at 110%. Staff very sweet and apologetic, but apologies don't get me my full experience for my dollar. Our room was not ready at 4:00pm check in. It took 2 hours and 23minutes to get our room. The Hotel did not offer anything for this inconvenience, I had to ask. (We we're not the only family who's room was not ready...many others were being told the same thing.The 2nd day 1/2 the water park rides and pools were closed. Disappointed this year. Reconsidering our trip next December. Might start new tradition.
Right at the airport. Don't have to leave the terminal to enter the hotel. Beautiful interior; clean, quiet, comfortable room; great gym; nice restaurants; friendly, helpful staff. No Starbucks.

rooms were great-no plane noise as I expected. Bathrooms were large and quite 'stylish:)' I was confused with the actual 'gettting' to the hotel-but once I found it-it was easy to navigate.

This is not a good hotel for local stays. It is right on the airport and getting on and off the airport is problematic.
The front desk staff was fantastic, the convenience of being at the airport is wonderful, and the view of the runway was spectacular.
Location in proximity to where we wanted to go. Staff was friendly. Room service was good. I paid neArly twice the rate of a 3-star to get executive level amenities. We ended up in a normal king room. Not sure if that was a mistake or their definition of executive level.

Friendly staff, I love the tennis courts and want to visit again to use the outdoor pool by the lake. The proximity to shopping is nice and very close to the airport.
The transport facility provided by the hotel for nearby destinations. Some more choices for dining around the place would be welcome.
Proximity to airport. In 4 days I needed to request new room keys 6 times. The shower faucet handle broke in half when I tried to use it. They did not have a bottle-opener to lend, (which is annoying but not a deal-killer), but when asked they suggested I go to the Wal-Mart to get one. But there was a convenience store across the street that had some. Overall they were clueless/indifferent.
Everything was great from the faculty to the cleanliness of the room.
It was in a good location near restaurants and about 10 minutes away from the grapevine mills mall. The pool was very clean and the room was clean. The beds are a little stiff

The bed, very comfortable The carpet, I had 2 large suitcases and moving to my room was complicated.
Convenient location with access to the airport, free (albeit small) breakfast, very quiet, kind and professional staff. Overpriced for what it was, very poor water pressure in the shower, poor availability of hot water, slightly run down, bed was far too firm.
The staff was amazing the professional attitude and courtesy that they showed you would expect from a 5 star they went out of their way to make sure everyone in my family had a great time There wasnt much for breakfast but it was still good
The taxi service for Comfort Inn was reliable and on time. A Continental Breakfast could have been available at 5:00 or 5:30 AM for travelers that needed to leave Comfort Inn for the airport at 6:00 AM.

Upon asking my name, the front desk staff quickly told me that there was not such a reservation, and there were several Springhill hotels in town. That was not a warm welcome when you thought you had finally arrived at the destination after a day of driving! I had to insist that this was the right hotel, and it turned out that he got my name wrong. If he could just ask my name once again, it would be a much better experience. I love everything about this hotel, and in fact all of the hotel staff were very courteous except this particular one.

Considering it's a fairly basic hotel in an office-park area with very little else around, I was surprised to find that this Marriott had such bad signage. I arrived late at night, and after a bit of confusion parked in a lot near what I hoped was the front entrance of the hotel. Once I actually found the front entrance, the front desk staff informed that I would be towed if I left my car in that lot. (Glad I asked about it.) I asked for directions to the hotel's underground lot, but even then it took me a while to find it. My room was on Floor 1. You'd think this would be above the lobby floor, but it was below. From bottom to top, the elevator floors go 1, Lobby, 2, 3, 4, etc. The nice thing about Floor 1 is that it's a straight shot to the garage--no elevator needed. Everything else at the hotel was very nice. The room was spacious, the food at the bar good, and the staff friendly.
The Hotel generally is of a high standard. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The complimentary shuttle is extremely useful for those without a car. I used it to and from DFW airport, plus vists to local shops. The gym was very tightly packed and a bit claustrophobic, but the machines were good quality and all had TV monitors to relieve the work-out boredom! There is a larger fitness club 5 minutes walk away, but I didn't sample it. The only downside was that the cost of direct-dial international calls from room are very expensive; I belive they should publish the rates so that you are aware of this fact; although I suppose most business travellers would be aware of this. Also, there was no in-room safe which was suprising for a Marriott.
Shuttle driver from DFW airport was obnoxious -- chastized us for standing in the wrong location, even though we stood exactly where the front desk told us to stand for shuttle pickup. The front desk agent was also snaughty -- If I hadn't have been staying here for a business conference, I would have checked out and gone to a different hotel. Both of the ladies in the Concierge Lounge were very nice and helpful. Front desk was again uncooperative when we asked for a late check out due to our plane being late. The building was nice, but the staff (with the exception of the Concierge Lounge staff) were awful. The building itself was very nice. The swimming pool was freezing cold and dirty. If you want a relaxing time, I recommend you go to a different hotel.
A good property if you need to visit Sabre Headquarters. It is clean and the staff is friendly, it is just a bit far from many places to eat. You are kind of a captive audience if you stay at this property. Would not recommend rooms on the 1st floor, it feels like you are in the basement.
Opinions differ widely about this hotel - I love it, but hey, what dio I know (I only spent 14 years in the hotel business!). Good shuttle from DFW, good check-in - refurbished guest rooms with Marriott linens and the new (for me) 'connections hub' (that allows you to plug your laptop into the flatscreen TV. Public areas are being refurbished which means a temprary (poky) bar area. F&B is NOT a great feature here - shame really - I guess if you bring a car you can drive a few miles to Southlake, or back towards DFW, where there's every type of restaurant you can imagine. But if you're without a car, they could do with a more imaginative offering. In the summer the outdoor pool is nice. It's a business travellers' pit stop, but a very attractive one.
My stay at the Marriott DFW Solana was a pleasant experience in every way. I was promptly picked up at DFW by their shuttle, check-in was quick and easy, and my room was nicely furnished and clean. The lobby bar is very large an spacious with a very high ceiling, and the staff there is just as nice as the front desk staff. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others.
In my opinion, Marriott Properties greatest assets are their employees. Every time I have stayed at this hotel as well as other Marriott properties, their staff is exceptional - they always make me feel very welcome and are always ready to answer any questions I may have. The rooms are clean and recently renovated however; I do not find the bed very comfortable. Shuttle service is amazing and very accommodating.
Stayed a night at the hotel after an ice storm. Was able to make the booking on short notice. Room was fine, hotel was good. Underground parking helpful as a result of the weather. Unfortunately, food service seemed a bit limited as a result of the storm. I woul d stay here again.
Sometimes you can get this hotel for a steal and other times it's really full and the rates are much higher. Either way - I'm always happy at this hotel! It has a very welcoming appeal in the front lobby and a comfortable lounge and bar. The rooms are well kept and the beds are super comfy.
I like the hotel but I just don't like the beds they have - I find it hard to get a good nights sleep. Other than that this is a great hotel. Also avoid the first and second floor as it can be a bit noisy.
It was clean,the staff was friendly , the beds were very comfortable. The room was very spacious They had a breakfast Buffett that many hotels provide free. The buffet was $10 for adults and $5 for children. There were lots of places to eat nearby. One restaurant was in the adjacent parking lot. If you don't like franchise restaurants you can drive down Main Street where there are several local restaurants that looked good. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely go back For the price the breakfast buffet was overpriced. My 6 year old doesn't eat $5 worth of anything

Fitness center was fantastic. Parking was never a hassle. Shuttle service was useful but not always timely. I heard planes flying every once in a while. The hallways got noisy at times -- especially when folks slammed the doors.

The hotel was surprisingly new. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very spacious, immaculately clean and kept that way by the outstanding housekeeping staff. Public spaces were very inviting. Free in-room internet was perfectly adequate. Only 2 minor aspects that I did not like: (1) Room lighting was barely adequate. Even with all lights turned on it was still a bit dark. (2) Room could use an additional table, for example, a coffee table. There was plenty of room for one.

I didn't realize that I was reserving under the wrong la quinta and when I showed up at my regular la quinta, they didn't have a reservation for me. They contacted the Euless hotel but they wouldn't allow a transfer. They said because of the 24hr notice policy but it hadn't even been 24hrs since I made the reservation. It was a big client dissatisfier and especially at the end of my day, with luggage in hand and I had to turn around go back to the car, load the luggage, find the other la quinta on my phone and head out again. Breakfast hrs too limited and tried to give me room by elevator, which is a noise issue.
Kindness of all staff
Every detail is well thought out at this facility. A full size mirror acts as a door for the closet. The night stand is pulled away from the wall to allow easy access to the extra plugs so that you can easily charge your phone and/or your computer. There is an actua wall-mountedl thermostat, not just fan speed control on the under-window air conditioner. The staff are very friendly and helpful. On Wednesday night, there were children seemingly under the age of 5, running up and down the hall, squealing with delight, well past midnight. Clearly, this is on the patents, not the hotel or the children.
The pool area and outdoor lounge was very nice and large. There was plenty of space to lounge and relax. The room was ok. The bed was a little hard and uncomfortable. But very nice place and good locAtion to Outdoor world and Grapevine Mills Mall. And close to DFW airport.
This is a great place for the value. Friendly staff, free shuttle service to/from the airport. Clean and comfortable room and a very good breakfast buffet. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. I was attending a conference at a nearby hotel and they gave me free shuttle service to/from the conference hotel. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
The comfort of the rooms with all the added amenities. Felt like home away from home The hotel is fine, although under construction room renovations, it was a little bumping noises at odd times of the day.
The front desk was helpful and fast getting me checked in. While the front desk person checked me in. The other person standing there got me directions to the State fair. Love the kitchenette. The room was clean. Love the breakfast! The bathroom could have been a tiny bit bigger but that's really grasping at straws.
What can i say about this hotel and my stay. We stayed the weekend of No Limits Nascar race. Upon arrival we were received by a very friendly front desk staff. Actually talking with him was simply a joke he made us laugh the entire checking process. Breakfast every morning was great the waiter always making sure all breakfast items were there. We left a tip to her. Excellent service. The room was great the only thing is the fridge does not make so we had to ask front desk for ice. No biggie.
