Pros: Nice & clean room. The host was very kind. We enjoyed the breakfast!
Pros: The room (Zen room) was lovely with a large comfortable bed and a big walk-in shower. Breakfast was great - it was served at a communal table in the kitchen so it was nice to talk to the other guests and hostess.
Cons: The town of La Creche was very disappointing as there was not much there and a busy road running through however it is conveniently located just off the motorway so as a stop when travelling north or south, it is ideal.
Pros: Our hostess was charming and very helpful.
Pros: The host, Nadaje, is a very friendly, welcoming lady. The accomodation is superb. Absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Nadaje told me some of the history of the house and told me there was a pretty stream nearby if wanted to walk and explore. Nadaje had stylishly and sympathetically decorated the house and it feels like a welcoming home. Our bed was comfortable , the bath deep and the water hot. I could not fault the stay and would go back without hesitation. I think of all the bookings I have made through booking.com this was the best ever. Nadaje also makes her own yoghurt which was delicious.
Cons: The only thing I can think of that could have been better was , it would have been nice to have tea making facilities in our room, but that was okay, I went on knocked on Nadaje's private door and asked would she mind if I made a cup of tea, she came and made one for me from of choice of different teas. Very helpful
Pros: Comfortable accommodation in a quiet room overlooking rear gardens. Lovely friendly host provided a great continental style breakfast. Bicycles can be kept secure overnight in a garage.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: Very quiet, clean and comfortable. A perfect stopover a a good night's sleep after a long day's drive. The hostess was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The town itself closes up relatively early and there is nowhere within walking distance for an evening meal.
Pros: The Accomodation was first class. The host was was extremely attentive. The breakfast was filling and one did not feel rushed to leave. The room that we stayed in was very clean, decorated tastefully with a lovely bathroom with a large bath. Can recommend staying here. CR parking is opposite
Cons: There was not one thing to not like.
Pros: Everything was great! Will definitely stay again when we're in the area.
With a stay at Le prieuré Saint Barthélémy in Azay-le-Brule, you'll be 12.3 mi (19.8 km) from Tulmus de Bougon Museum and 12.7 mi (20.4 km) from Royal Abbey of Celles-sur-Belle. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It was a unique and tranquil experience. All the vegetables and fruit were home grown and the rest was local. The hosts were generous with their time and very interesting. The dinner cooked specially for us was delicious as was the breakfast spread. You may have gathered we had a great time. Thanks
Cons: We can leave this blank
Pros: very friendly owners, top service, deliceous meals (breakfast and diners), very nice, quiet environment and astonishing building
Pros: We especially enjoyed the breakfast, which was prepared with lots of love and attention to detail: homemade bread & jam, honey and tea leaves from the garden, butter & cheese from local farmers. It was simply delicious. As an extra, we also learned a lot about beekeeping, making homemade bread and organic farming.
Pros: This is gem of a place to stay perfect hosts and food to rival any hotel. Very tranquil and full of character.
Pros: The breakfast was outstanding with fresh home cooked food - it looked straight out of a foodie magazine
Pros: The owners have created an experience, not just an overnight stay. Where to start, basic stuff I guess ..Parking for the car, Room very comfortable, huge in fact , bathroom and shower perfect. Food exceptional home grown , organic, gluten free and cooked by the owners. That may be enough to get a great review, but then you move to the the ambiance and serenity of the building and grounds then you start to move beyond .You may indeed then think you have found the perfect place to stay but wait ,throw in the sheer passion of the owners, the knowledge and willingness to share all. Their story from leaving the City, to keeping bees, growing vegetables, making wine from walnuts to liquor from honey ... then the simple over night stay becomes absolutely enchanting and the memory will stay with us for ever. Thank you Both !
Pros: Extraordinary building, a renovated fortified priory built by Benedictine monks. Simply beautiful. Stone floors and spiral staircase, huge rooms. Quite an extraordinary energy, very calming and peaceful.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: Paul and Caroline were amazing hosts during our three night stay. The house and gardens are beautiful and has a very authentic French countryside feeling. The breakfasts are incredible. Paul really went above and beyond to cater for our dietary requirements by making delicious home made gluten free bread and cakes everyday. It really made our stay more comfortable. I cannot recommend this place highly enough for coeliacs, particularly as eating out for coeliacs can be very tricky in France! Paul and Caroline were also extremely helpful and friendly hosts in terms of assisting with ordering taxis and showed great patience with our lacklustre French! We would have no hesitation with staying here again if we were ever in the area.
Pros: Caroline & Paul are perfect hosts, superb location peaceful and quiet. Clean with fresh smelling bedding the evening meal was just delightful and the breakfast was exquisite both prepared with home grown ingredients served in a beautiful dining room. We would have enjoyed it even more with a longer stay, perhaps next time. Thank you Philip & Angela Jersey
Pros: Great location, owners, pool and room.
Pros: Such a wonderful experience in absolute beautiful surroundings.
Pros: We loved our stay here. The family room was large, clean and comfy. The Moulin was a beautiful as were the gardens and the river walk that our host recommended. Our kids loved the little pool and the breakfast was amazing!
Pros: We were so impressed with our welcome - the owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. We loved the room - spacious, comfortable and clean but with lots of character. The location was quiet but interesting with the mill, stream and walks close by.
Cons: we liked all aspects
Pros: Beautiful place, very well placed not to far from motorway so easy to get to, but in peaceful location. Would highly recommend.
Pros: An interesting, quirky and homely house with excellent hosts. A calm and peaceful environment with the sound of running water to sooth the mind.
Pros: The family room is basically a whole barn with beds for 5 and a raised area with a sofa and dining table. The bathroom is downstairs and is also spacious. The room is beautiful. The setting of the house is amazing. It is so peaceful and remote but only 10 minutes from the A10. There is a communal room with tea and coffee facilities and a small fridge and freezer. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. They gave us good advice about places to eat and were happy to provide crockery if we wanted takeaway. Breakfast was outside under a gazebo and was charming and delicious. A wonderful find and I'd definitely go back.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
Pros: Superbly decorated, very large room, delicious evening meal, kitchen available for your use and garage parking. There is a garden to enjoy and hosts were very welcoming.
Cons: Internet a little slow
Pros: Husband and wife run B&B. Room clean and beautifully presented.
Cons: No kettle to make tea or coffee. No access to drinks. No British tv channels. Bare essentials.
Pros: The kitchen area was a bonus - it is shared between the two rooms, but is well equipped.
Pros: The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful to us with their local knowledge. The garden is lovely - a little oasis.
Cons: The location is not special but it served our purpose.
Pros: Room was spacious and clean
Cons: No wifi. Also struggled with the radiator settings so it was a bit hot in the room! Room next to shared kitchen which was a bit noisy.
Pros: Friendly proprietors
Cons: Slightly stuffy.
Pros: Very convenient for the A10. Excellent accommodation and we loved the decor. Very friendly owners who joined us for an enjoyable breakfast. Great safe parking.
Set in a small historical town, 35 minutes’ drive from Niort and 45 minutes’ drive from Poitiers, Le Mouillage Vert is a renovated 19th-century farm with views over the meadows and old oak trees, and free Wi-Fi. The spacious bedrooms are individually decorated and feature visible beams. They come with a bathroom, desk and wardrobe. In the morning, a continental breakfast is served. Le Mouillage Vert features a garden and a sun terrace. There is also a library and a common living room. Saint Maixent l'Ecole TGV train station is 10 km from the B&B and guests can go shopping in La Mothe Saint Héray, 2 km away. There is free parking at the property.
Pros: I was here before and I will return. Very charming B&B in a quiet area, a warm welcome by the lovely owners, a big and comfy room and a very nice breakfast. An ideal stop on your way to or from the south..
Pros: We had a lovely stay here, it's a very nice B&B in a quiet location. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good!
Pros: Charming property - blue shutters on main house, lavender in the garden, just as you imagine a tucked away French chambre d'hôte should be. Uschi was welcoming and charming and we chatted about how I was travelling home after a family holiday in the Pyrenees, her time at sea, setting up Le Mouillage Vert and our experiences when travelling in India. As I arrived on Sunday evening I chose to stay at the property and have a picnic for supper and was provided with everything I needed to sit outside in the evening sun to eat and drink. A peaceful night's sleep is almost unavoidable given the quiet surroundings. Breakfast was good and included a local cake called, I think, a tortou (tortoise?). The only caveat was that it was all rather carb heavy - some fruit and/or protein would have been welcome. Other than that - a super place that I would recommend.
Cons: see above comments re breakfast.
Pros: A very enjoyable stay - comfortable, spacious room and an excellent breakfast.
Pros: Hostess was very friendly, welcoming and engaging. Large room, a comfortable bed, good breakfast, excellent wifi. Her recommendation for a restaurant was spot on. Very peaceful setting, all around a wonderful stay.

Pros: The location just off the motorway was excellent. The booking in was easy and the receptionist was very helpful. The room was basic but clean and just right for an overnight stay. The small restaurant adjacent to the hotel was excellent and we had a very good meal. The staff were prompt and the meal was really nice.
Cons: The small toilet and bathroom.
Pros: A good budget hotel just off the autoroute. Check-in staff were very helpful as we needed to change rooms due to wheelchair. The adjoining pub/restaurant was an unexpected bonus, with good range of beers and lovely meal..
Cons: The bathroom is small
Pros: Lovely buffet breakfast. Comfortable bed and well set out bedroom and bathroom. Surprisingly good restaurant next to Reception.
Cons: Air con didn’t seem to work so room a bit warm. Shower waste might need checking as could be blocking up.
Pros: Great, good value when travelling through France. Does exactly what is says on the tin.
Cons: The breakfast is overpriced and not brilliant.
Pros: Excellent value for money, friendly, efficient and no fuss check in, receptionist spoke perfect English .very good beds.
Cons: For this price it would not be at all fair to dislike anything.
Pros: Really helpful lady at reception.
Pros: Was expecting a computer check in but there was a pleasant lady at the reception desk. Rooms are functional but clean. On site car park at no extra charge. Breakfast was good, fresh fruit, good croissants. Everything you need from a stopover hotel.
Cons: No evening food had to drive a few minutes away but we were aware of this when we booked. As we were travelling with a dog, our choice had been a bit limited

Pros: Lovely quiet location. Very friendly reception staff
Cons: Very dated and poorly equipped bathroom. In need of complete refurbishment
Pros: Quiet excellent location very attentive staff
Cons: Strange menu poor choice and very expensive staff very helpful. two very limited menus one 35e and the other 50e! Waiter tried to help offering chicken breast which was dry tasteless and over cooked
Pros: The room and bathroom were clean and nicely furnished.
Cons: On a blisteringly hot night, the air conditioning didn’t work and there was no apology or offer of a reduction, just a shrug of the shoulders. At this price, you really would expect an air conditioned room. We didn’t get any sleep at all. Breakfast was extortionate.
Pros: Really lovely hotel in a gorgeous setting. Very friendly and attentive staff. Very good evening meal and delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel
Pros: The calmness and restaurant meal
Cons: Breakfast not great
Pros: The pool
Cons: The food was not very good and We have to wait a long time to get our breakfast. The hotel is understaffed and so very unorganized.

Pros: Close to the main Bordeaux motorway.
Pros: Very easy self service check in as we arrived late

Pros: Breakfast at an Ibis budget is really standard across each hotel and we found it to be absolutely fine. The rooms are all standard and the receptionist quickly gave us an alternative room as someone had been smoking in it. Staff friendly and helpful. like most it was located on the edge of the town which is handy for access to and from the motorway . Ideal for travellers in a hurry.
Cons: It is basic but reasonably priced and convenient to motorway

Pros: Clean comfortable and in good location in the town
Cons: Very dated but clean and comfortable. Not much open on Sunday evening
Pros: The hotel is quite basic but clean and adequate for our one night stay. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. As we were on a cycle tour, the secure cycle storage was important.
With a stay at Campanile Niort Est - La Crèche in La Creche, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park and St. Andrew's Church. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good selection of well cooked and well prepared foods. Good service at table.
Cons: The facilities were showing signs of wear and a lack of attention to detail. e.g. the programme changer (zapper) for the television was very slow, as if the battery was about to die. Also there was an electric kettle to plug in but no easily accessible plug to plug it into.
Pros: Lovely staff helpful and friendly
Cons: My third stay here but this time room backed onto Industrial estate was woken up in very early hours around 5am by noise which went on all morning after a very long drive this proved an issue.
Pros: Staff and food choices.
Cons: A little tired. Could do with a few repairs.

Cons: Decor in the bedroom was very dated but fully functional.

Cons: Very basic accommodation
Pros: Good access to motorway for onward journey to Spain.

Pros: Room clean and perfect for a quick overnight stay as we had to leave very early in the morning.
Cons: No reception available until 0700
Pros: Having a restaurant on site - very handy with children
Cons: They mistakenly thought they only had one room booked for us instead of two. However, we managed with blow up beds for the kids! They realised the mistake later in the evening but by that time the kids were asleep.
Pros: We use this hotel for stopovers between Guernsey and Spain. Have stayed many times
Pros: access to restaurant.
With a stay at Les Demeures de Valette in Azay-le-Brule, you'll be next to a golf course, and 9.7 mi (15.6 km) from Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park and 12.8 mi (20.7 km) from St. Andrew's Church. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble. The grounds and pool area very pretty, beautiful views despite weather. Lovely quiet location. Very good size rooms throughout the house.
Cons: Let down by smaller things (attention to detail) i.e no bath towels (these were provided when requested but we were advised they are not usually provided despite being mentioned in booking). Cleanliness of cutlery, crockery and tea towels. Also asked for 200€ deposit upon arrival which although was returned promptly upon checkout, was not mentioned anywhere within the booking process and was so a slight shock.
Pros: The gite was clean and well equipped, light and airy with very comfortable beds and plenty of crockery, cutlery and cookware. The pool area was lovely- although 2 minute walk from the gite, as it was next to the hotel. It is in a very tranquil location and perfect for our needs.
Cons: The hotel itself was somewhere between a hotel and a B and B. Although you could ask the owner to cater for you on occasion- they did need notice and so planning in advance is needed. Also, when around the Pool area, you can ask for non alcoholic drinks but this isn’t readily/easily available- basically don’t expect a full hotel service- take ur own. Saying that still lovely!
Pros: Stunning location. Just 6 miles from Niort
Located in La Creche, Premiere Classe Niort Est - La Crèche is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park and St. Andrew's Church. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Airecondition in the rom.
Cons: The walls in the rom was dirty and the People in the recepson didnt now any english. IT says No smoking but IT is not correct.
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: TV not plugged in or working. Shower drain partly blocked. Paint coming off the walls in places.
Pros: Kind staff and excellent breakfast
Pros: The location
Cons: The bed was hard, room was dirty and had several spiders in residence. Shower was far to small and bathroom in general inadequate. Only one power point which is insufficient in this modern age when phones, iPads and cooler boxes need to be plugged in overnight. Breakfast was very poor, no croissants or pastries, just various breads, no fresh fruit, not a good start to the day. First and last time staying at this hotel
Cons: The hotel was awful and our room smelt like an ash tray. It was made worse as the communal ash tray was outside our door & window. The room was the most basic I have ever encountered and we were charged for our dog! 58€ was a rip off! The bathroom was smaller than one on a ferry cabin and nothing was clean. If you suffer from cabin fever then this is not the place for you......we only booked this as all the adjacent hotels were fully booked. We cancelled our return booking and stayed next door in So Lodge Niort, a far superior experience all round. We did complain but the staff on duty was most unhelpful and walked away. Premiere Classe it was NOT.
Pros: Good price and OK for overnight stop
Cons: Very basic accomadation
Pros: The quick self service check in
Cons: Hotel rooms were smelly. Bedding did not appear to be fresh. Room was dull, not enough lighting. Floor was not clean. Some towels were stained.
