There's plenty to do nearby, with Spa du Chateau des Thermes, and Chaudfontaine Adventure all just a both distance away. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The pools were wonderful. The buffet was outstanding - the lunch buffet even featured a whole room for dessert which I've been gushing about to all of my friends! The room was very quiet, comfortable, and attractive. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place to relax.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facilities and the room was fantastic. Dinner was great too.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late and they were very accommodating with regards to the restaurant which was about to close. Also we needed a late checkout the following day which was no problem and we were ok to use the spa facilities all day even though we had checked out
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The standard of the facilities and the quality of the food is first class. The new additions and continual upgrading of the thermes is always a welcome surprise and hope to see the innovations and developments continue.
Cons: I asked and expected a dual massage with my partner, however, it was a single room. With that said, the massage was excellent
8.8 Excellent
Pros: For the price the hotel was adequately luxurious, comfortable and aesthetically appealing. The food was excellent. The spa was great and the amount and size of the facilities were sufficient. During our stay the hotel was fully booked but not once did we fill it's crowded. We really enjoyed our stay in spite of the few negative blimps and might be going back again at some point.
Cons: Certain members of the staff gave a snobbish, distant feeling but I believe not willingly. They were obviously overworked and my impression was that they were trying too hard to create a higher class atmosphere. It felt forced. Especially in combination to the majority of guests being quite casual in behavior and attire. The hotel is understaffed and this shows in the details. At some point a door handle in one of the saunas came completely off; it needed only seconds with a screwdriver to be fixed; after 3 hours I noticed it still broken. Also, the bar closes really early, before dinner service starts I believe. So after dinner there is nothing to do other than sleep or go out; there is no music, no drinks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice. Comfortable beds. Lot of space. Great dinner. Very tasty.
Cons: You didn't have a place to put your shampoo or shower gel in the shower.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The relaxation facilities
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel and spa facilities for a relaxing experience.
Cons: No Chaudfontaine water available in the spa area. An ecological alternative to disposable cups and disposable slippers should be found.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were in wonderful condition and felt luxurious. The number of options for saunas, pools, relaxation rooms were also very nice. Also the chance to have an exceptional dinner on location was a big bonus! Excellent quality massages as well!
Cons: Some of the saunas were quite small when there were a lot of people there. However one could move around to the other sauna area when it felt too full. Hooks to hang your robe/towel directly outside of each sauna would be helpful.
6.3 Good
Pros: Polite staff, excellant SPA and massage facilities etc.
Cons: Romantic package on the website states a 'bottle of champagne' however in the room just a demi-bottle!
6.3 Good
Pros: The spa facilities were lovely. The setting was really charming, and there are a lot of paths on the mountain behind the hotel to go hiking on.
Cons: The bed was not that comfortable and the room was exceptionally warm. The jacuzzi smelled like chemicals.
7.7 Good
Pros: Excellent new spa with all facilities; Beautiful design hotel, including spacious rooms; Free drinks in room and free slippers/bathrobe for spa. Very good breakfast. Perfect w-e get-away!
6.3 Good
Pros: Spa facilities are excellent, Massage was fantastic
Cons: There was a reception in the lobby and the noise carried into our room. The receptionist was very courteous, but the whole experience was not pleasant. We had to carry our heavy luggage up a flight of stairs to the room.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable.
7.7 Good

Pros: Rooms excellent, spa fine, dinner very good value for mony and staff always helpful
Cons: There should be a proper bar for after dinner
5.0 Okay
Pros: The spa facilities were fantastic! The breakfast and Lunch buffet was amazing.
Cons: They had really strange time schedules. The reception was closed after 20.00, so no one there in case you had any questions. You had to make a reservation at the restaurant but could only go for dinner between 19.00- 20.00. We arrived at 19.30 so hardly any time to get changed. Same for the Lunch, which meant at 12.00 everybody rushed to the lunch area. No airco at the room.

Planning an event in Aywaille? This hotel has facilities measuring 3068 square feet (285 square meters), including conference space. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The dinner and breakfast were very nice. Parking was easy.
Cons: Room service for dinner and restaurant service for breakfast were both pretty bad. The whole order was forgotten, then the drinks, and for breakfast, I ended up setting our own table. The whole pool area was constantly flooded with water, which was very off-putting. And the pool was still dirty when entered very early in the morning. Evidently, it wasn't cleaned in any way, except for the large amount of chlorine inside of it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, very modern. Super friendly staff and amazing facilities like a gym and spa. We had a lovely stay there.
Cons: It was not mentioned on the website that you needed to book a massage in advance and that you could not make a reservation during the stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: contemporary upscale hotel in a fantastic environment, very good fecilities for bikers, cosy bar/lounge area restaurant is great with good choices of meals, fine wines and very good staff rooms are spacious and very clean extremely helpfull and polite staff (dutch, french, english speaking)
Cons: airco had some failures - in this extreme heat that is a area to improve
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was clean, the breakfast was very good.
Cons: We did not get any info that the wellness area costs 15 euro per day. This is a important information, for sure if you book that specially as a wellness hotel
5.5 Okay
Pros: Clean and new hotel with a modern interior design and plenty of parking space. Spa facilities are also clean and match the pictures online. Breakfast included a great variety of food, different choices on different days, and was re-stocked very well despite the large number of guests (I believe the hotel was at full capacity during our stay).
Cons: I want to believe that I'm not a particularly picky traveler, and any of those issues alone probably would not have made me write a review - but the sum of those did overall annoy me and put a damper on our stay. The majority of the staff did not speak English - either well enough to do their job or at all (!) - to the point that we had significant misunderstandings about food/drink orders or our logistics. I was baffled that anyone working at a hotel, especially in a small country like Belgium - where the EU parliament resides - would not at least have basic communication skills in English. They did not state clearly that the use of the wellness area came at an extra charge of 15 EUR per 5 hours. They Spa was the main reason we picked this hotel and we did not plan to spend that much money even for a short dip in the pool every night. We ended up using the facilities only one day - and this should really be made clear in the advertisement. They did not have any large towels for the sauna and our ask whether those were to be expected to be available later in the day was merely met with a shrug and 'don't know'. we ended up having to use two very small towels in the spa which I find both inconvenient and not very hygienic. Both restaurant and bar are also rather pricey for a location in the middle of no-where. The restaurant: We waited 2 hours (!) for our main course (2nd course of a 3 course meal). In addition we were served 2 wrong dishes - despite the fact that we pointed to our choice on the menu when ordering... again, not trusting the English skills of the staff. Getting 2 out of 3 dished wrong is rather annoying. Overall the whole restaurant seemed unorganized, we were served by 4 different people and the staff seemed to have a lot of discussions on counter leading to the open kitchen on which dishes belonged where and who should be served what.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It exceeded our expectations
Cons: Evening food menu could have been a little wider - but this is being picky
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Very comfortable and clean room.
Cons: Dissapointing the €15 extra for the spa
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, room, breakfast
Cons: You have to pay 15€ extra for the wellness centre which it could be included to the price of the hotel which could also be a bit higher
7.0 Good
Pros: Modern, clean, ample parking, accessible (highway location).
Cons: Too expensive without free pool access.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was so good! The room was quiet. The breakfast was gorgeous!
Cons: There was no fridge in the room !

Pros: The staff was exceptional friendly and a nice breakfast was provided. Parking was also very simple close to the entrance. We came here to have a cheaper stay for the F1 race in spa. The distance to Spa is quite okay (about 40 min).
Cons: The shower did not have a shower head holder. Also there was a microwave in the room with some mugs, coffee powder and a water in the fridge instead of just providing a coffee machine. The balcony is accessible by all other rooms, so we had to keep the curtains closed since we did not want anyone to walk by and look inside our room.

Pros: Good value. Decent breakfast. Good value dinner albeit not a culinary delight. Good bar. Good place as a base for cycling in the region.
Cons: For the six days i stayed there, the wifi did not work a single time. With many schoolkids the dining area felt like a school foodplace at most times.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of the other food was tasty and amazing value (just €9 extra for half board): Succulent chicken in a delicious sauce, tarte tatin - fab. Generous breakfast with good strong coffee.
Cons: Possibly the worst soup I have ever eaten; virtually no flavour, no seasoning, looked like pond water. Scrambled eggs dry and over cooked.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Staff really friendly and good selection of beer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: CD : All Is Yes Band : Get The Blessing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice place with lot of facilities and good food.
7.0 Good
Pros: - good breakfast - comfortable beds - very reasonably priced dinner available (EUR 11 for buffet; some nights there's an awesome BBQ dinner for EUR 18 p.p.) - large, clean swimming pool provided with lockers, dressing room and showers. - kid friendly. kiddo bikes available etc.
Cons: - rooms are very basic, youth hostel style. Compared to the price we paid (high season, mid summer) this seemed a bit out of balance. - crappy WiFi - garden could do with an update.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that I could bring my dog and that accommodation was very comfortable and clean.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, rooms
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very unique experience. It was great having the opportunity to stay in a beautifully renovated castle. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The castle grounds were very well maintained and the exterior of the castle was beautiful. We had one of the castle rooms. It was not large, but was adequate for two people. There was a small refrigerator in the room, which was nice. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and very good.
Cons: The bed was small and there was not a fan in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything - especially our big spacious room, beautiful surroundings of the castle and the castle itself. Peace and quiet in the area. Good food for breakfast. Also no problems to park a car (lots of parking space). We spent only one night in there but planning to return in the future. It was really worth the money.
Cons: Coffee machine didn't work properly (poured too much water, you had to stop it manually), but it wasn't a big deal. Other than that everything was fine.
6.8 Good
Cons: Hallo Booking.com and Chateau De Harzé, Our stay was good although i missed staying at the chateau instead of staying at the building next door. It is a pity that this is not informed in advance and even more of a pity that there is no choice for reservations via Booking.com; aparently all reservations through Booking.com are sent to the adjacent building.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Historical place of hotel and breakfast
Cons: Some times there was a bad odor in the hall and little bit in the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice room, very clean , quiet, not in main building. (Ask for 9b) big bathroom and TV. The breakfast was very good with very good quality food and a nice lady serving and answering our questions about the area.
Cons: The tv programs were a few and not interesting. It was no option of walking around in the main historical building. The restaurant was seperate!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Value for money, good breakfast included
Cons: Our room was like a prison cell with windows that you couldn’t look out, the room also felt damp and you could smell it too.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant provides a good dinner and breakfast quality is high as to components . The local bread & croissants superior and as for dinner so nice not to need to drive out to somewhere else
Cons: There was a mix up in hotel system as to our reservation status but was nicely resolved . The reception staff full of goodwill and forthcomingness
7.0 Good
Pros: The Chateau from outside was impressive, parking easy, breakfast excellent!
Cons: The room was not in a Chateau, but in an annex and it was very basic no feeling whatsoever that you live in a castle, except for the view through the window, which was nice!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great reception. Good rooms, excellent location. Great food and the private spa was a real unexpected treat.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful, big, incredibly spacious and the bathroom was amazing.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a fan or an A/C unit in the room. The night was very hot and opening the windows was not an option due to the mosquitoes.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location itself is a nice small chateau, just on the side of the road about 20 km from Liège. Charming, nice historical atmosphere. The rooms are very individual, charming and comfortable.
Cons: A couple of days before the trip I asked if it was ok to park a second car on the chateau's property for a friend who slept in his van camper. The answer was "yeah sure, no problem at all" . Once we arrived we were informed that we had to pay 25€ (without any use of electricity, bathrooms or anything....). After negotiation the owner agreed to include breakfast and toilet use in the 25€. Personally I didn't like the fact to have last minute discussions... Also, in the profile there is a Restaurant mentioned at the chateau, but it was closed. An information about that would have been useful. Last but not least it was not possible to get breakfast before 07:00, not ideal if you have to leave very early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners with a personal touch, superb ambience and room. Only wish I had been travelling with my husband as potentially a very romantic place to stay. Wilson is particularly good company
Cons: Would be useful to have a more prominent sign as GPS takes you past the property into the town itself
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing was fantastic
Hostellerie De La Poste - Hamoir - Building

8.4 Excellent (173 reviews)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean, interesting and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful with finding us somewhere local where we could buy a travel adapter after leaving ours at home. They even phoned ahead to check the shop had stock, The food and service in the hotel's restaurant was excellent and breakfast while not a huge selection contained all the important things. The hotel was well located for getting to the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa which was around 35 minutes drive away.
Cons: The room was a little bit noisy if the window was open due to the road and nearby railway line. With the window closed it was fine. The bath had a shower attachment but you had to lie in the bath to stop the water going everywhere. The rolltop bath was very nice though so this wasn't a problem for a short stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing family hotel! We stopped on a way to F1 in Spa. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty and fresh. Very friendly family, cleaning staff perfect. Only 40 minutes from Spa. Was happy with price.
7.5 Good
Pros: the hostellerie is located directly next to a train station but this is not often used. The busy road in front is a bit of an issue if you are a light sleeper and you sleep in the front of the building. the room had a bathroom seperate from the toilet which was nice. the bed was great. The breakfast is ok but not more. The price we paid was a bit much for the location especially compared to a hotel we visited in the same region on our way back from our holiday destination. on booking.com its says you need to reserve a parking space for 10 euro's, but you really don't need to. there is plenty of free parking space near the hostellerie.
8.3 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a later check in time than specified in the booking date because of high rush hour. Even though there was no problem for our host.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and accessible.
Cons: There was nothing not to like about it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and bathroom - functional
Cons: Straight from the street to the stairs. No reception or public entrance area. Very sterp stairs. No soap provided. Would have been nice with a bottle of water in the fridge.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful small town, very relaxing place.
Cons: Too many stairs. Not enough pillows
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The town itself has nice restaurants and is very pretty; the mini-hotel is decorated in a style which is almost completely neutral (hey, it's a hotel) but with little personal touches (it's somebody's hotel, not line-produced). Easy access to other locations in the area.
Cons: Not so much something I disliked as something I think people need to be aware of: it is definitely not "mobility-challenged accessible". If you're traveling with someone who has mobility problems, a trolley, a big suitcase... the stairs will be a challenge.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Place has everything you might need. Nice coffee and breakfast place right next to the place.
Cons: It was quite cold in the room when we arrived, but became worm very quickly, when the heater was turned on.
