Close to where we wanted to be and less expensive than some of the others in the area.
The heater did not work, and St. Louis experienced its first cold snap of the year. The wifi service did not reach our room. When you went back to the lobby area, no problem, but the signal dropped as you moved away from there. Also, I found some old biscuit or similar food item dried up under the desk. Yuck! Couldn't wait to leave! NOT going back.
This is always our first choice when either visiting or passing through STL -- great value for the money. The kids love the indoor pool, and while the playground is small, both my 8yo and 4yo always have to make a stop there. The hot breakfast is good, especially for free. The location in Kirkwood is good -- nice area but still within 15-20 minutes of all major attractions.
Some parts of the motel are in need of repair, but we're willing to overlook this for our stays here. On our most recent visit (August 2015), we had a lot of trouble getting a wifi signal, and our Verizon 4G wouldn't work inside -- we had to go outside in the parking lot to use 4G on our phones. However, this wasn't a big deal since we were usually on the go, and we were wanting to disconnect a bit anyway.
