10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gem of a property. After a long drive along gravel roads, it really was like finding a jewel. The owners have worked hard to create a very interesting place with little objects of interest at every turn! The veranda was perfect for watching the sun go down with a drink and our evening meal was delicious.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charming and beautiful guesthouse. Very clean and well kept. Great service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: we slept in Amunis and it was spacious each room with own aircons as it was very cold. Bedding was clean and good quality and the bathroom spacious and very clean. Loved the old furniture and ambience. The food was excellent and the wide variety of drinks and alcohol too. We felt the price was a bit steep since it was only for one night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Irene, our hostess made us feel very welcome, attended to our needs and provided the most excellent cuisine. We recommend this facility wthout reservation
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse has a spacious 'living - dining' area both inside and outside which is very cosy and very nicely decorated. Makes you feel at home. It was a very nice stop on the way to Windhoek. The owners of the guesthouse were very friendly and helped out with our car. Perfect service !
Cons: Nothing, all fine
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The guest house is easy to find and well located en route to Kgalagadi park. Stampriet is quite a nice little town and much nicer than nearby Mariental. There is borehole water in the town and so its something of a green oasis. The guest house itself has a lovely garden which is great to sit in if you have the time. The room we were given was very comfortable, with a large fridge which was helpful. We liked the characterful decor of the guest house. We appreciated the care that had been taken, and the apparent pride in ownership. The staff were really fantastic - the hospitality here is professional, but also charming, relaxed and friendly. I cannot praise them enough for this. The owner described her team as a family, and that is how it how it felt. The owner herself also went out of her way to help us with an issue that is not really part of this review, but reflects this property's general approach to hospitality. We stayed for two nights on two separate visits, and enjoyed an excellent evening meal on both occasions. Portions are generous (as is usual in Namibia) and the meat was very well cooked. Breakfast was also very nice. The price of our accommodation was higher than anywhere else we stayed in Namibia, but the hospitality we received made it good value and we would love to return.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay in the Kalahari desert, good connection with the south of Namibia. Delicious dinners. Spacious and clean room; decoration/furniture/bathroom is somewhat outdated, but it is clean. Very friendly owner and staff.
Cons: Some real fresh fruit would be appreciated at breakfast, although we realise that because of the location of the Guesthouse, logistics might not always be as ideal to get this delivered.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice place good food
Cons: The parrots in cage
10.0 Excellent
