About Star Legend

Star Legend, one of Windstar Cruises’ small luxury cruise ships, certainly lives up to its name, providing a legendary experience for everyone onboard. With only 212 guests, yet 153 international staff, a personalized experience is assured. The ship, which was built in 1992, features six guest decks, with 106 suites to choose from. There are 64 Ocean View Suites with picture windows, 36 Balcony Suites with French-style balconies, four Classic Suites with private verandas, and two Owner’s Suites also with private verandas. The Owner’s Suites are incredibly plush, comprising 575-square-feet, so guests can indulge in spacious comfort. All staterooms come with fresh flowers, a fresh fruit bowl, a waffle-weave robe and slippers, and Egyptian cotton bed linens. The amenities onboard Star Legend are just as varied. Guest can visit the Bridge to view the captain’s navigation charts, work off dessert in the fitness center, or take a dip in the pool. The WindSpa offers a sumptuous place to get pampered, while the ship’s inspiring library features a spacious, contemporary setting. Designed to give guests the feeling of a private yacht experience, Star Legend’s three restaurants focus on local, sustainable foods, and offer meals at any time of the day as well as 24-hour room service. The Star Legend cruise ship sails all around Asia and also makes journeys to Alaska. Cruising highlights include discovering the beauty of Mount Fuji, on the “Grand Japan” tour, spending a night in Shanghai on the “Comprehensive China Exploration” voyage, and swimming in the idyllic crystal waters of Hundred Islands National Park on “The Best of the Philippines & Borneo” cruise.
