This hotel did everything a hotel should do, it was clean, comfortable and had an enjoyable little mini Towncenter with a garden, fountain and restaurant
Clean, comfy. A lot of street noise, but to be expected in a college town.
Upgraded since we were last there, very comfortable beds bathroom small and tight for 2 people
Terrible room and although the front desk confirmed only 50% occupancy, and it was only a one night stay, they refused to change me to a better room. Room window looked into an internal wall and ceiling. Among the worst hotel rooms I have ever styed in. Btw, it was not a highly discounted rate either. It was maybe $10 off the normal rate on the website. Have travellled to State College at least annually for over 30 years. Never used Days Inn State College before, and never will again.
Location where you can walk to shops and restaurants Small rooms
There were barking dogs on our floor. We do not stay in pet friendly hotels for this very reason. The fact that it was NOT clearly advertised to be pet friendly up front caused us to waste time and money on a day w a 15hour drive..we ended up doing in one day. we were reimbursed for half the room rate...better than no refund at all. The days inn staff were understanding
Rooms were nice and clean. Staff courteous, helpful. Beautiful hotel. Double queen bed rooms are kind of small for a family with two younger children. We brought a pack and play for the little one. Worked out good.
Awesome downtown location and the Pool was a hit with the kids:)
The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and very professional. The adjacent Mad Mex is better than the average hotel restaurant, and you can't beat the location if you want to be on campus in about two minutes (on foot). Parking's a bit pricey, but it's a godsend in a busy town where parking's at a premium.
Would like to see complimentary coffee and Danish for am
Location, Location, Location. Right on campus, so if visiting Penn State, this is it !!! I've had small rooms and large rooms. This time I got lucky and got a nice large room. However, not nearly enough outlets available for guests' use. Only one outlet accessible in room. It's apparent, lots of students work here, but they seem to be teaching mediocrity. Why isn't it being run like a Ritz Carlton. Teach Perfection and the best way to run a hotel !! I was supposed to be picked up at the airport by their shuttle, and apparently, the person taking my reservation never signed me up in the reservation book (or wherever he's supposed to put it). Also, given the wrong price of the dinner buffet (by Over $10/person).
Service was outstanding. Dinner in the restaurant was exquisite. Staff makes you feel at home. Great proximity to PSU venues and the airport. Complimentary shuttle service to local destinations is an excellent ammenity. Free apples for guests in the lobby! There are no cons to staying here. It might be a bit pricey for some, but the value is excellent for the service and convenience provided at this location.
While disappointed in the management staff, the service staff up front was great. Nice and helpful. Grounds and building were gorgeous. Easy walk to Arts Fest and town. Whiskers was a nice venue to relax with a cocktail. Reserved a year in advance for this year's Arts Fest. Four girlfriends. With both elderly parents and young adult children issues, only booked rooms because the third party reservation site bragged that we would be able to cancel up to 24 hours ahead. Three weeks out it became apparent that our issues would make it very difficult to be away from family for that weekend. Called to cancel. Management would not budge from their 30-day cancel policy. (in the fine print on the confirmation) Third party even got involved. They would not budge. They were already sold out and easily could have re-rented those rooms. They would have had happy future alumni customers. We managed for 2 of us to go but 2 were out the money. Nice rooms but dark, fickle A/C sometimes worked and would then turn off, several bugs in bthrm, hot shower turns cold for periods of time.
Very clean. Friendly staff. Spacious room Noisy air conditioning.
Convenient and clean Beds could be updated maids were noisy at 7:30 am
Staff is pleasant, helpful and extremely courteous. room 6092 sink is clogged very slow draining.
price Paid cash then was still charged on my debit card. Help!!!
They just need to update the hotel to the 2000's
Location was the best Cleanliness was an issue. The bathroom was gross. Hair all over the walls and floor. Clearly not cleaned before we got there. Brought it up to the staff and they said it would be cleaned, but never done.
What I loved most about the hotel was the cleanliness, the room, and the perfect location. Everyone was kind. Also, I was excited the room had tv. The only problem I had was in my room it was too cold for me. I tried turning the heat up but it wasn't enough to keep the room nice and warm.
The location is about the only thing. the furniture was falling apart. There was stains in the tub. The key was an actual key, which worried me about security. Room smelled musty, but seemed clean. Very outdated. Would not stay here again.
Nice receptionist Loud neighbors fighting. The power in our room didn't work the second night. The tub drain was clogged
Price The window was backwards. I had to take it out and turn it around to lick it. The man who checked me into the hotel smelled of marijuana and could not properly count my money for payment.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating... The location was great .... on the west side near cafe 210 ... walking distance to everything!
Located in the heart of state college everything was a walk or short drive away. The woman at check-in was very friendly and attentive. Not bad at all for the price.

For the price you're paying, this hotel is perfect
Good location. Workers are rude. Room was not clean. Hard to find anyone working at the front desk.
