Was such an amazing experience! Everyone was polite and got everything to us as soon as we requested it! Definitely will be going back
All was perfect Except the restaurant
The staff, decor and small, thoughtful touches were great. I thought the restaurant, Jimmys, was overpriced for the quality of the food. Menu did nothing for us.
My wife and I were greeted by the valet/concierge gentlemen right away and were offered a glass of cold champagne! Set the standard for the rest of the stay and they didn't disappoint! Love this place and see ourselves coming here for many years to come! Didn't like that my sister in law's room was in a totally different building than ours, but understandable given the layout and they were completely booked that weekend. Also couldn't believe her room was much larger and nicer than our premium lake view king, given our room was $80 more per night. But the view made up for it. After all, it was only for one night.
Staff is excellently trained. Very professional. Rooms are big and comfortable. Restaurant is nothing short of excellent. it is worth staying at the hotel just for the restaurant.
Location was great, perfect for the lake. Jimmy's restaurant was very nice and the wait staff were great! We booked a pet friendly room for our dog, we were told we could only stay on the ground floor next to the lake car park. It was very noisy and the nightly cost did not match my experience. I am a seasoned traveler and this was not good value for money.
1. There was no hot water in the morning when outside temperature is -8 C and they couldnt seem to care about it.
The service was amazing and staff were very accommodating. Our room was beautiful and the spa was glorious The reading couch in the room was not super comfy but it was a pull out so no biggie
The staffs are the best and helpful. The restaurant closes early 9.30pm and no other food or drink service late hours.
Restaurant was excellent - both for lunch and dinner. Sommelier was very knowledgeable and approachable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Got great restaurant recommendations from one of the valets. Room was very nicely appointed, comfortable and attractive. Radiant floor heat in the bathroom was a nice touch. Free on-site parking with valet service. Great location - not in the thick of things, so quiet, but easy access to South Lake and the rest of the Lake. Nothing.
Everything about this hotel is great. No detail is missed. Great price and great experience. Can't bet the location either.
Great place with very friendly people. Hipster ambience is created by cool style and design. Aesthetically it's a very pleasant place, not every Taho vacation has to be in an old cabin with a lot of orange wood and musty smell (if you know what I'm talking about). Hip and young place with make-your-own waffle breakfast and smores kits available for $2 at the reception (I've been doing those every night!!). Parking lot is a bit tight. No decaf coffee for breakfast.
room cute, clean. Lots of pillows. No elevator!!! I had to climb two flights with heavy bags and two bikes. Staff were somewhat indifferent. No AC. No TV channel guide.
Love, love, love this place! Very clean and no usual hotel vibe. I wish my apartment was that great. Nice wooden accents throughout the room. They did a great job updating the place. The staff is super responsive and willing to help and there's someone at the front desk 24/7 Everything felt and looked like they really care and want to provide the best possible experience Big windows that open! So it's easy to air out the room. Comfortable beds Free s'more kits. So you can jump into the hot tub on the roof and then enjoy some s'mores by the fire pit Free 24 hr very good coffee Nice continental breakfast with yoghurt, granola, blueberries, bagels, cream cheese and pastries Mostly younger friendly crowd and families with kids We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night on top of the three nights we already booked. And they matched the initial price of booking.com Great price for the room, considering other hotels around. It was off season though Could use more storage space/hangers in the room as well as in the bathroom Pillows were not very comfortable Bathroom and shower are a little cramped Some guests smoked right in front of the rooms and no one was keeping tabs on that There's no refrigerator or microwave in any of the rooms. For families traveling with small children that's a big deal. Though, the staff was nice enough to let us store food in their fridge
The remodel of this hotel was superbly done, the rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were super comfy. The outdoor lawn with fire pits, hot tub and open air bar was great after a long day of hiking. The staff was clueless. My husband and I asked for a place to get breakfast sandwiches before setting out on a day hike and we were recommended a 21 and over strip club, at 8 am!! They left messes laying around for days at a time, literally (there was a concert across the street at one of the casinos and the after math of beer bottles, food containers and other debris on one of the hotel patios was left uncleaned for almost two days!) we even asked a staff member about the mess because we wanted to enjoy the view from the patio and he just laughed and said "yeah, they really made a mess huh."
Rooms are design, clean and confortable. Staff is wonderful, dynamic, helpful. Ecologic style. Very good breakfast, homemade style, with not too much food: super ! No coffee maker in the room.
Basecamp has succeeded in facilitating a communal, hostel-like vibe while maintaining a higher-end boutique hotel, something that I've never encountered at other hotels like this. The hamburger and bratwurst grill in Basecamp's grassy courtyard were much needed after a long summer day at the lake. I'd definitely come back again. The picnic benches in the courtyard are sketchy. Mine was super wobbly but I was sober so I never took a spill. Though, my friends and I watched several people who may have had a few too many flip off their benches while sitting around the fire pit. I'd just suggest the staff replace these benches before someone gets litigious on Basecamp!
The whole stay was great from the start. The staff was very welcoming, and Baseline was such a unique experience from beginning to end. The location was walking distance to everything we wanted to do, and we absolutely loved our experience. Highly recommend!!! The only thing we didn't particularly enjoy was the thin walls in between the rooms, and the quality of the TV. But those were minuscule issues, we loved our experience.
Can't recommend The Coachman Hotel enough peeps! Super hip, sweet accommodations, rad staff, optimal location and the price is right! Def returning for a longer stay next time. Make sure to take them up on the complimentary S'Mores at the hotel's huge communal fire and play some corn hole!
price and location it's near waterfront and downtown area It's old, swimming or spa was outside and not working...they are renovating it. Thin walls
Convenient location near South Tahoe casinos. Friendly & helpful staff.
It was better than we expected. I expected cheap and worn out and not working. The beds were clean and comfortable. Nice after getting beat up on the slopes all day. The bathroom looked recently remodeled. The ceramic tile floor was heated. Nice in the winter. I expected orange juice and white toast for the free breakfast (like the Roadway Inn we stayed at in August). The breakfast was great. Fresh fruit, oatmeal, bagles, danish, juice, coffee, tea, toast, toaster waffles. They advertised a hot tub. I expected that it would be inexplicably out of order when we were there. No, it was good and hot, and we enjoyed it after the slopes each day. We didn't rent a car while we were in South Lake Tahoe. Alpine Inn is close enough to the main Gondola to walk. And we took a bus from the Reno Airport. The bus doesn't deliver you door to door. We knew that when we got the tickets. But one of the stops is just one block from the Alpine Inn. Sweet. The only thing that sucked was the internet connection. You can't beat the connection you have at home. I don't travel enough to have anticipated a poor, slow connection. It was a bit of a shock. And we are all so connected. My phone plan worked great. But leave your laptop at home.
Close to casinos and heavenly Thin walls, loud people. Sounded like there were elephants running around upstairs all night long! Finally had to call the front desk at 1am to get moved rooms so that we can get some sleep! Say that they only checked in the people 10 minutes ago but that was a complete lie because we heard them running around since 8pm. Will never stay here or recommend staying there
It was really close to the casino, and close to everything. I was not pleased with the customer, the front desk was very rude. We got over charged.this is definitely a crash pad, there was people party near the pool. I would not recommend this motel.
Clean, spacious, comfortable room, convenient central location, friendly staff. Short 2-3 minute walk to rear entrance at Harveys. Would definitely stay here again. Wifi connection suffered frequent disconnects. Okay for web surfing, not so good for real-time tablet games. Cell signal strong enough for backup internet access with mifi.
The price - $50 Fridge, microwave and free wifi. The grounds are beautifully planted and meticulously groomed. It's an easy walk to the beach or the casinos. Staff was warm and helpful. Free simple breakfast. We stayed here before, and will again. The building and rooms are in need of renovation. That being said, they are adequate. Some of that other guests can be rowdy.
Clean, close location to points of interest, friendly staff TV in room didn't work, keys were deactivated halfway during trip and no one in the office at the time. Had to rearrange plans for a few hours
Price, location Rooms kinda small
The room was pretty clean and spacious, and the hotel itself was very nice. Breakfast very limited, no place to actually sit.
the inn was walking distance to all the casinos and shopping malls- well lit at night and quite. not enough parking in front - where your vehicle can be visible from your room window.
Family business! Located on Stateline therefore a short walk to the casinos if that's your thing. A marginally longer walk to get to Heavenly Village and all the shops/restaurants. Mattress was pretty sunken in, we ended up rolling in towards the middle in the middle of the night. The fitted sheets and mattress pad came off the mattress on all 4 corners. Multiple times. Pretty annoying. They pumped the hot tub, I wanted to use that. I believe I found rat droppings in the bathroom though no other evidence.
The parking was a little difficult especially when you have 2 cars, but other than that it was good
Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, bed was comfy, parking and wifi free, free breakfast, decent coffee. Good in-room amenities- hair dryer, fridge, microwave TV was antiquated, heater was loud, pillows were lumpy.
Comfortable and great location! Great value.
Good breakfast. Dirty sheets had to be replaced. Bathroom floor was sticky.
Beds are comfortable, breakfast is good, and only a 5 min walk from a large selection of food and entertainment. Definitely recommend staying here
Comfortable bed. Clean room. Good breakfast. Helpful personnel. Nothing
We were move after complaining at least but for 25$ upgrade Basically got the guy to admit putting us in that room. The young couples are the ones you really should be trying to impress...
The place was good for the price I paid. I always look for a place that serves breakfast. The one thing I hope for is the make your own Belgium waffles and this place definitely has it! Facilities were old and needs a lot of updates. It was a step up from motels really. Bathroom is small and old. Tub didn't drain very well and the towels don't dry very well. There's not a fridge but they have a community kitchen. Definitely did not like the pillows. They feel years old because they were clumpy.
Great value, two queens, 4 adults for $89 on a Saturday during the ski season. Walking distance to casinos and gondola. Hot breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels, waffles. Beds were stiff and not comfortable.
Breakfast included great No microwave,
At first glance, the hotel seems like a regular two star hotel, but when I saw the beautifully decorated, updated rooms and met the wonderful owners, Bill and Debbie, it easily elevated the 7 Seas to four stars. The breakfast that was included with our stay was fabulous! Bill was such a gracious host and made the most delicious waffles I've ever had--I normally don't even eat waffles. Debbie has the skills to be an interior decorator by the way she furnished the rooms. The wood shelf in the bathroom was both functional and absolutely gorgeous! My only regret was that we missed the happy hour because we had to go to a wedding. We'll definitely go back when we have more time to enjoy the place.
Location for a summer visit to SLT One star accommodations, old motor inn.
Hotel was not much to look at, but it was clean and a terrific value for the money. We had some wine, which we started drinking at an outdoor table, and the owners came along and gave us a platter of cheese, bread, and crackers. Of course, we invited them to join us, which they did. Very nice people.A few blocks from the beach, for which the hotel has passes.
Very friendly staff. Excellent location. You can walk to Heavenly Village, the casinos, and the beach. The included breakfast was very good, something for everyone. My wife got the recipe for the breakfast casserole. Also the evening happy hour was nice. We checked in during happy hour after a long drive and it was refreshing to have a snack with an adult beverage. The room/bath had been remodeled and looked nice. I would definitely stay here again.
The helpful staff and the breakfast The eiderdown on the bed wasn't clean/fresh.
The staff was great, the room was modest but comfortable, and the location is great. A good price makes it a no-brainer!
Very clean, friendly staff and you can't beat the location. Also dog friendly.
The owners are so welcoming and always remember us! It is has a nice home like feeling. It is a short walk to the casinos and in summer there is a private beach, which is also a short walk/drive. Each cabin comes with table, chairs, queen bed, tv, mini electric fireplace And heat. It just a overall relaxing great place to stay it.
Location. Walking distance to casinos and the beaches at Tahoe. Small room, run down overall. For the money spent ($130 a night), a very poor value for the money. I know it's high season in Tahoe, so rooms are expensive and at $130 a night, compared to rates at other motels near by, this was less expensive, but I got the feeling that because of the location, the owners here don't have to work very hard to sell out. It shows.
The only thing convenient was that it was close to Harrah's 1. The pool was empty. My kids were looking forward to a vacation with swimming and the description said it had a heated pool but the pool was empty. 2. The room was extremely hot and the fan did not work. We had to open the window that was nailed shut, so my husband had to remove the nail to open the window otherwise we were in a room that was constantly 90 degrees. 3. Two doors down from us was a group of drug dealers who live there at the lodge and they tried to sell my husband drugs.
The staff was very friendly and it is located just down the road from the lake. Me and family had a great time staying there. My only real complaint is that the pool was hot. It needs to be cooled down. It should not feel like I am getting into a hot tub. Plus it could use a cleaning.
The place is literally a block away from california nevada stateline. Very accessible to heavenly ski resort which is very nice place to go. Since its at the border of california and nevada, you can walk couple of blocks and you'll be at nevada side, which means, you can gamble. The room needs renovation. Not bad for the value but definitely could be better. There are few lodges/motels/hotels that surrounds the place itself and therefore i think makes the owner dont bother to renovate the place. Since the lodge is very close to thr lake and a block away from nevada, it is very convinient and stay from.
