Excellent facilities and friendly and helpful staff None
Ideal room very clean and suitable for our trip I found the hotel noisy unfortunately especially at 3 am - there seemed to be a lot of noisy guests and feel that the night porter should have intervened.
Convenience to Airport and very family friendly. By mistake I had booked a disabled double room which smelled strongly of smoke. However on request our room was promptly changed even though the hotel was fairly full.
For a hotel in this category/standard I would have expectected shampoo and also free wi-fi to be included.
I like premier inn as they always provide a comfortable stay, food always good, rooms are very clean, convenient.
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Bad food. Noisy passage outside room
Well looked after and the staff are superb None
Made feel very welcome by staff food wasgood as well None a fridge would be good
The efficiency of the staff and their politeness . the food in the adjoining Brewers Fayre was excellent. All good
It's close to Prestwick airport which is why we chose it. Clean spacey room. Cash machine and M&S shop right outside at the gas station. Eating facilities next door. No fridge in the room.
Everything. The owners were lovely and the house was totally immaculate. The best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed in. No
THe reception. MIke was a terrific host, made us feel very comfortable. The rooms were very good, the location excellent and the breakfast too.
Very friendly host No window-curtains
i liked location and and friendliness of host shower was very poor needs updating
The Friendly Welcome was very warm, and could not do enough for you, The breakfast was lovely and had no problem having more tea, coffee or toast, very friendly atmosphere. No
the friendliness of the staff /manager
Friendly staff. Good location.
The location was excellent and we had a very warm welcome. The cooked breakfast was hearty and very good value. The proximity to the seaside and the local shops was a bonus. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a small problem with our shower but it did not mar our stay in any way.
excellent rooms friendly host location good
The location was very good for both town and beach. The room was a good size with excellent sea views. The bathroom was rather cramped.
The standard of the guest house is excellent and the owners could not do enough
Friendly welcome, beautiful bedroom and bathroom, excellent breakfast and a fantastic loctation.
Great breakfast with lots of choice, comfortable room with en-suite facilities. Owners of guest house really helpful and friendly. WOuld recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay close to the town centre in Ayr N/A
Friendly, homely, welcoming, very comfortable nothing too much trouble. Plenty of storage. Would definately recommend. The rooms were gorgeus and spotlessly clean with every homely touch ,(shower cream, hand cream, tissues etc. ) The family were so friendly. In all a perfect stay. Would not hestitate in staying again. Its not a dislike its just i like a bathsheet (to lounge around) rather than a bath towel but thats just my preference.
This hotel was very clean with updated decor and facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions and tips for our trip. The breakfast room was quite nice and the food was very good. None
Excellent decor and very pleasant owners. Road noise in front bedroom
The guest house was so lovely. Extremely well furnished. Exceedingly clean and very welcoming. Beautifully cooked breakfast. n/a
very friendly and close and convenient to town centre
Lovely guest house in a good location. The host really made you feel at home. None
The personal touch that the owners give to every guest. Washing my clothes and ironing and folding for me before i left was above and beyond. They went out of their way to accomodate my needs. I would give the Appin 11 out of 10. Brilliant. It really was home away from home. There is nothing to fault at the Appin
location excellent breakfast
the hotel is very close to shopping and transport facilities. the food served in the bistro was excellent. the rooms were very comfortable and clean. the staff were friendly and helpful nothing was to much bother for them. there was nothing to dislike about the hotel
Ideal location ,nice and clean rooms, very helpful staff
room window was next to bar playing too loud music noise was unbareable
The food was excellent. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and cosy. Overall excellent value for money. I will be back.
It is very central Where to start, it is very difficult to find despite sat nav, there are very few parking spaces, the hotel has seen better days, you could hear everything that was going on inside and outside the hotel, the hotel says it has wi-fi it doesnt and to top it all we were made to feel as welcome as a fart in a spacemans suit. We were booked in for 2 nights left after the first
Central for access to town. Excellent food at a reasonable price in both the Cafe/Bar and the Bistro.
helpfulness of the staff
staff were hard working and friendly. No computer available for internet usage (we do not have a laptop).
All good points
Very nice and helpfull owners If we return to Ayr we will book the Chalmers again Ett mycket bra ställe rent och fint,ägarna ställde upp till 100% geoff och lotta sweden no
Delighted with whole experience-very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly
Parking was available right in front of the guest house...the website made it seem like parking might be a bit dodgy...within walking distance of everything...nice quiet neighbourhood...excellent restaurant a three minute walk away.
the warm welcome and friendliness help make my stay more enjoyable i have no complaints this was fine for my requirement and will use it again
Access to the town. Personal attention by owners and the price. \\\indows did not open
pleasant, friendly and knowledgable and very helpful
Very friendly and efficient
Good solid hotel TV was outdated
Good selection for breakfast
the relaxed friendly welcoming atmosphere. a group of 12 of us were staying on friday and saturday night. bar was ckised when we returned from an evening out and we were not allowed to sit in the lounge and have a few drinks with our friends before going to bed on the saturday night, didnt want to go to a roomand disturb other guests.
Staff were extremely efficient and very friendly.
All the staff were wonderful and really helpfull we had dinner in their restaurant and I would highly recommend it. We would re-visit this Hotel
Friendleness of staff / picking up from airport with no problem... With weddings and functions in the hotel they said they were too busy ...I had to ask for something three times before it was resolved
The helpful friendly staff, they could not have been more welcoming and attentive
Convenient situation to access west coast of Scotland. The amount of cigarette "butts" at the entrance to the hotel.
The restaraunt was good, also the location
Spacious and comfortable accommodation and a hostess who does everything to make you feel at home. Highly recommended.
Another wonderful stay at the Inverlea. A warm and friendly Scottish welcome and the hospitality throughout is the reason i chose to stay here again. Excellent location, value for money and service. Will definatley be back again.
Excellent guest house and always superb hospitality. Exceptionally clean, good location and great value for money. Would recommend to anyone. Always a very pleasent stay.
This is one of not many places I will be coming back to. Everything was just perfect.
Location, room and food were all excellent, and the best were the hosts. They were endlessly accomodating, making dinner recommendations, providing general information and even rearranging breakfast seating to suit. This b&b is super!
Our hostess Liz was most gracious and welcoming. She has a beautiful B&B which was very comfortable for our family of three.
it was modern, comfortable and close to town. The hotel staff were friendly too. not at all.
The breakfast was the best I have had at any hotel or bed and breakfast that I have stayed in. I shall certainly be going back.
The owners Joanne and Ross made us feel very welcome, The boarding house is located very close to the town centre but in a quiet area and it is very clean and comfortable.
Very friendly owners who took time to talk to you!
Joanne and her husband were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was fresh and clean. There was also a beautiful aroma in the hallway when entering the hotel. Breakfast was also lovely. Toilet/shower room a bit small but this is not a major issue as it was adequate, functional and clean.
Owners were very friendly and helpful Room was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated Breakfast very enjoyable, with good portions of quality produce. It was a warm evening on our second night couldn't open the window
the hospitality and the service from the owners
very nice room, very good scotish breakfast our room was in front of the street so a bit noisy
The very great Scottish ospitality
The rooms were very clean and the owners very friendly. it was very well placed near the town centre with off road parking. The ensuites were quite small
Comfortable, welcoming rooms. Good breakfast.
Within walking distance of Prestwick airport and railway station. I requested an early time to leave my bag in however no one was there at the time I nitified them of despite correspondance vie email.
Room was oo warm and it was not possible to open a window
Excellent base near Prestwick-Glasgow airport. Used it to sleep at the end of our weekly trip, before getting a plane early in the morning.
The relaxed atmosphere aided by excellent customer service. Nothing to report.
clear directions to guest house, scrupulously clean, high standard for guest house, excellent price/quality ratio.
Nice room, fine food and great host, very sympathetic.
Allowed early checkin Good breakfast Nice sized room
Excellent place to stay very nice people None
Very nice and clean room. Good price. Not far from airport.
Not only is the room exceptionaly comfortable and breakfast excellent and generous, but the landlady, Marion, is truly hospitable in the old-fashioned sense of the word.
Fantastic location fantastic bed fantastic evrything and very gentle woman waiting for you!!! We raccomand the hotel!!!!!
The lady was sooo nice! She allowed (with a smile!:)) for my girlfriend to stay till 5:30pm in the room as my interview got really late and it was freezing and raining outside! Everything else was also gr8-a very charming hotel!
Friendly welcome, clean room, nice touches, location. Everything were excellent. Thank you.We raccomand the hotel!
Very comfortable, lovely hostess, great breakfast and everything covered like hairdryer, tioletries etc. not one thing.
very pleasant stay-convient to Glasgow with transport every 15 mins no
The staff were excellent
a very good stuff, very nice people ! we arrived late in the evening because of the flight, and they were waiting for us. they asked us what time we wanted breakfast in the morning, and what kind of breakfast. a beautiful and very very clean room. about 20 min walk from prestwick airport, near the station and the sea ... if we return in prestwick, we surely would like staying there !
Despite some trying personal circumstances the owners went out of their way to ensure that our comfort came first. I hope Marion continues to offer this excelllent service to others in the future None at all
All staff were extremely helpful, and went that extra bit to make us feel welcome.
Very friendly management and staff and a beautiful decorated and well looked after.hotel . When the extension is finished it will be the icing on the cake . No
Friendly, helpful staff. Food and service was good. Felt a bit exposed when curtains were open as we were in a downstairs back room and people were in and out of the car park. We felt that blinds were needed for privacy. Had to ask for a hair dryer and another cup. Other than that, nothing major.
The hotel was modern and very clean, the staff were efficient and the buffet breakfast was excellent, although apparently they don't normally do a buffet but did on this occasion due to the number of guests. The shower was rubbish.
the staff were very nice/helpful the carvery was great value, would recomend it to friends and family.... no fried eggs at breakfast but you they will make these for you if you ask for them ...
A very comfortable new hotel in excellent condition, food good as well
The hotel was lovely- one of the nicest I've stayed in. Room newly refurbed, modern and clean. Friendly staff and the food and service in the restaurant top class no
Staff were excellent, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble to them.
Very nice hotel with excellent decor. The staff were friendly and the cooked buffet breakfast was very good. Free WiFi worked great. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again if on business in this area. The shower in my room was not very powerful.
Friendly staff, nice room, pleasant bar Phone was missing from my room but night porter came and knocked on the door for my wake up call.
Warm welcome, well furnished, comfortable room and lounge and with excellent breakfast None
High standard of 'furnishings and fittings'. Beautiful house. Very friendly, polite and welcoming hosts. Could not be more helpful. None
Friendly host, the breakfast was excellent and cooked right on the spot, comfortable ample en-suite room, pleasant decoration, great little details like plenty of electrical outlets to recharge phones, etc.
Flexible check in comfortable bed and very helpful staff.
Staff were fantastic No
The owner deducted 5GBP from the cost because I was not going to be there for breakfast The bed was on an angle and I felt like I was going to fall out.
Very clean and Margaret (the owner) really looked after us. A bit of mould in the shower cubicle.
Excellent breakfast. Bed comfortable. Quiet. Doors could do with replacing or painted.
Value for money! Friendly approachable and helpful owner. Clean and good facilities - bathroom, tv and kettle in room, clean comfortable bed. Spoilt unfortunately by a couple of drunk guests who came in late.
Margaret and her family make me so welcome its just like a second home. They cannot do enough for you and it is great value for money Not a single thing
Friendly and familiar Small room, bathroom needs to be refurbished, heavily closing, old doors, no hot water the last moring, small breakfast-room - have to wait for taking breakfast on two of five days
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location for walking to shops and restaurants. Good parking. We asked for 2 bottles of water for the room. The bar man had none in stock so went to the store room. 2 very small bottles of water cost around £6.80p. He could not find any larger bottles to offer value for money.
Central location I discovered I had paid £30 more than my friends for exactly the same accomodation and food! Even though I booked online.....
Staff Cost of internet access and lack of wireless access
Staff very pleasant and helpful and food was good Noise - this took the form of invasive loud music in the bar and diningroom - a noisy party of guests being allowed to use the diningroom for a meeting when we were having a meal - people banging doors at 01.00 - 02.00 & 04.00 am as well as music from the function room at midnight.
we like this hotel!!! no complains!!!
Front desk staff very friendly and helpfull,at check in and check out Lifts did not work
Sight seeing, took in the racing on sat night, spent sunday in ayr & went down to Culzean Castle and Girvan on the Monday Had a couple of problems with the keys for the room
Local to the town and resturants. Would of been nice to access sky sports from the room.
The room facilities approach to reception from car park was really tatty and uninviting. Poor lighting. Draft beers were off due to a fault with the cooling system. Only bottled beer was available at £3.30 for a 330 ml bottle. The price should have been reduced to reflect the lack of customer choice and the excessively high price.
Location. Very comfortable. Well equipped. Good restaurant
It was ideal for what I needed. Quiet and peaceful and very comfortable. A new concept with no staff there, but it worked well.
as i had the best room number 3 it afforded me my own private courtyard with small garden and barbeque area. great ! also the shower and toilet ensuite were clean and of high standard throughout. cozy room with good size double bed although matress was a bit " lumpy" otherwise top class throughout. i shall most definately return there. keep up the good work!!
Clean, spacious room. I liked the 'self service' idea - collect and deposit keys myself etc. Really close to town centre, car park at rear and facing the hotel. I'll definitely be back :) None whatsoever.
Easy access to shops and town, off road parking, easy contact with proprieter Beds were not comfortable, shower leaked, noise from traffic and nearby nightclub late at night,
Friendly and helpful staffs and most important were able to contact by phone on every occassion regarding any issues. A fridge was delivered as an emergency for use of my medication/injections which needed constant temperature. Not good start as no welcome staff on arrival or access to room when we arrived appx 4.00pm. Our room was over booked first night and we were allocated a room without en-suite. Feeling stressed having to shop for large packs of ice for first 2 days from local shop to keep medication cool before a fridge was delivered. I did not fully check and assumed a fridge would be available before booking. Noise from nightclub and revellers was an issue regarding noise disturbances.
Location The Mattress
Good Location close to all ammenities Bathroom was cold radiator does not work thus bathroom was cold
Nice clean rooms very warm , easly located to local ammieties
Very friendly proprietors who really made one feel "at home" in a nice, informal atmosphere. Comfortable, well furnished rooms. Excellent, freshly cooked breakfast made to order.
quiet, clean, friendly hotel
the breakfasts could have been better
Friendly service, and adapable to our needs
excellent small hotel, room clean comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast enjoyable.Easy to park and near town centre. hotel was fine.
the hotel was near the town and beach and was very comfortable and clean. owners couldnt do enough for us they were very friendly
The Arrandale Hotel is a bargain, clean rooms, nicely decorated, we stayed in the twin room and family room, Linda is very welcoming. I came in a group of 6 young girls which didnt seem to phase linda as it would most smaller hotels, she even directed us to the nearest clubs and pubs, asked every morning if we needed fresh towels or anything else, thanks for a great stay. Cant say there was much wrong with this hotel except the shower room was quite small, although i would still say was adquate and served its purpose.
Beautifully decorated room. Very comfortable bed. All areas of hotel very clean. Lovely breakfast. Friendly efficient staff. Handy for shops, sea, bars & retaurants. No blaring music or televisions in lounge. Very relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. Was nice to be able to talk to fellow quests. If you want to chill out stay here.
I have to say the breakfast freshly cooked was excellent and the staff very attentive. our room was a good size and clean and the service was faultless
owener and staff very friendly and helpful very cosy guest lounge and the room was comfortable and clean
Close to ferry and ship inn Bright street lights and/or thin curtains
Accomodation was clean and well kept, excellent all round Nothing
Good price for a standard room (no b & b) Secure rooms Free wi-fi Good size fridge for personal use (not mini fridge) Good location & room with a view Found the bed to be very uncomfortable, (could feel the bumps and springs etc) Radiators didn't kick in at all. tv too high on the wall, both myself and my partner got neckache looking up at it, as it was mounted on the wall (too high) Complimentary tray, well stocked but on a very low table for making tea/coffee
friendly staff nice warm atmostphere rooms too small
The accommodation was to our satisfaction, We could come and go as we pleased. No chairs in the room. Had to sit on the bed.
Hassle-free check-in, excellent facilities, easy access and transport links, very clean and modern, privacy, friendly. no
Very clean and had a dvd player in room. Fridge in the room made a terrible noise and ended up having to be turned off. No one to greet you when you arrived. Although they did phone to warn me about this and gave me all the information I needed to get into my room.
We were moved to the Harbourside hotel which for the money we payed it was ok. We ot a complamentary breakfast. The hotel is very old fashioned, need moderised. I fell going up the stairs as when I held onto the banister it moved. The room we stayed in had also just been painted that day, the paint was still wet and the curtains were down and lying on a chair. The breakfast was average, was ok for free but would not have paid for it.
i liked the cozy location and the close proximity to the local pub. also the old town feel about the area and sense of history and nostalgia. room needs to be warmer during winter.
Convenient, Cheap price, Nice outlook Good food nearby Very uncomfortable beds!!!!!! No information given regarding entry key code, fortunately we arrived as another guest was coming out,and he let us in. No response to telephone calls. Poor function of wc system
staff were friendly and courteous, rooms were a decent size and service was quick n/a
reception staff friendly and helpful dirty bathroom floor - bath and shower water not working properly breakfast waitress poor service
Very warm welcome and excellent staff. Food was lovely
Good friendly staff, breakfast food very good. Nice location and place to stay Double bed was too small
The hotel was very friendly and all the staff were very helpful. There was not much of a range of toiletries available, which was disappointing.
The hotel staff were polite and attentive. They provided a level of personal service that exceeded what i would have expected for a hotel of this grading. Our room seemed to be the smallest and least attractive in the hotel (having had the opportunity to look in a few of the other rooms) I would be requesting that we did not get this room again.
Excellent staff, room and meals very good especially 2 for price of one! none
the staff were very helpful and very cheerfull
Location - Good surrounding - Nice staff
The location was in a residential area, it feeled quiet and safe. There was a shared kitchen and dining room (with fridge/freezer, microwave etc), which was convenient for preparing dinner and breakfast yourself. We booked a quad-room, it had en-suite shower room and 4 single beds. The room was decent sized, so ideal for family. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of space to put our stuff. Considering the price we paid (£45), it was good value for money. There was no staff member to be seen from check-in to check-out. Basically it's more like a private house than a hotel, as there's no reception area. When I arrived, I had to call the number printed on the front door, then once my card payment was taken, I was given the code for the main entrance. Then I was directed to my room (the key was left underneath a door wedge, and I was told to leave the key at the same place when I leave). I mean, there's nothing wrong with it if you prefer a private place all for yourself, but just thinking about other tourists who may have difficulty speaking English or require assistance about the room, this may not be very helpful.
Location to Town Centre and Value for Money No decent mirror in room or shelf in bathroom for toiletries.
Second stay there and very good all round and good value for money
I liked the hotel, however some guests checking in at 01:15 pm didn't realize we were asleep, but trodded around allover the place calling loudly to eachother. I know S:t Andrews personal (which we never met) can't stop them, I guess that is one drawback in not having the staff on site. However I am impressed you are so bold as to keep the place open without any personnel there!! Only the noisy guests, and it was just a short - but sleep-disturbing - incident.
Rooms were clean and Tidy... none - we didnt make breakfast so cant comment on that.. althought there was a lack of activity in the kitchen area!
There was no-one at the premises when we arrived, however, there were instructions on the door with a phone number. We had a query about the corridor lights and the manager came straight away. We were the only occupiers at the time, therefore we had a quiet night's rest. The bedding felt rather cold and damp and the duvets were rather thin. The duvet covers and sheets were showing signs of age and needed replacing, along with the towels.
Excellent breakfast and
Very relaxed atmosphere. We had freedom to come and go as we pleased. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and we could use the dining room facilities whenever we wanted to. We attended a family party a few miles away and the proprietor even provided transport to collect our cars the following day.
Pleasnat room and privacy Not staffed in the hotel. The owner had another local hotel and met us to take us for breakfast there. Very helpful but a littele inconvenient
it was clean and comfortable
The staff was very serviceminded and helpful. The only bad thing was that you could hear every sound from the room above.
this was a very pleasant hotel good service and very friendly
The ability to offer evening meals was helpful. I have had to cancel due to the current adverse weather conditions. The hotel were unsympathetic, and insisted on charging the full room rate. I will therefore think twice about staying again.
Excellent friendly ness of the staff will go out of there way to make you very welcome. Breakfast excellent really set you up for the day. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel. But would like to make one suggestion. Being a women I would have liked a plug socket under the mirror to make it easier for a hairdryer .
Good value Good breakfast. Pleasant staff
Pleasant Staff and clean Room My booking was descried as En Suite, however no En suite was provided, which was a bit inconvenient
Staff very friendly, rooms clean and newly decorated. All extras in the room - hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Open kitchen - cooking smells from breakfast linger on your clothes if you sit too long in the restaurant area
See below None
The food was very well made and tasted grate and was also very cheap
Very comfortable, was made very welcome, breakfast was great. All in all a great stay. booking.com stated the room was en-suite, therefore I did not bring a dressing gown - maybe one could be provided?
Everyone was very friendly which created a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Our room was really lovely but a long mirror would have made it even better.
This B&B is very modern, extremely clean and well run and the breakfasts are unbeatable! Excellent value for money for what is royal treatment in Ayr. I also liked the lounge which was accessible at all times and the selection of games and magazines on offer to guests.
Owner very helpful, friendly & informative. Mix of old & modern, bright, clean and comfortable. Also loved the choice of art work. Very close to beach & shops. Would certainly recommend it.
Quietly situated outside city centre, nice for summer vacations. Familiar atmosphere - but far from "boutique-styled". Very small rooms, just for sleeping. The sheets was extremely hot. And the smell from the kitchen reached up in the rooms..
Was given a larger room than I had booked.
Very clean and comfortable. Staff all friendly and accomodating. Great breakfast. Only stayed one night on the way through, but could have easily stayed loger.
staff were friendly Lots of stairs to go up and noisy doors when people come in including the front door. Room 6 on the ground floor seemed better
