Problems with upgrading my room through hotels.com. On the phone for an hour the first time. Never received the updated email. The original email was sent but no upgrade. Called back to get the updated email with room upgrade and it wasn't done. Spend a long time on the phone once again. Notes were not added to account and it did not show upgrade even after credit card info was taken for a second time. Had to finally make payment at the hotel. After checking and comparing fees from hotels.com and the inn it was only a 2.00 difference. For the aggravation, I should have just booked with the inn. Will not book with hotels.com again
Restaurant and staff were amazing. Farm to table and locally sourced. The beds have a ledge I hit my shin on twice. Second time drew blood.
Best location! Young girl who checked us in was rude. She did not make us feel welcomed at all. I felt like I was on an assembly line when she went through her check-in speech. We stayed at the Maryland Inn. It has potential but when we walked in our room it felt like a dorm room. Just a bed and a dresser TV, and window AC unit. There was no artwork on the walls. Also, they must be renovating because when we got back for the evening the entire lobby and second floor smelled of oil based paint
Everything. Downtown is amazing. Favorite place to go. Go 3 or 4 times a year. Nothing.
Convenient location, lovely decor, comfortable beds. Walls are thin; at 1am I had to turn on the A/C to muffle the noise from others. Couldn't find any staff when attempting to check out.
Loved the location! Our door was old and kept sticking so we had to shoulder the thing open. Confusing were to park or the whole valet system. No breakfast at the marlyland inn.
They provided cookies, hot cider and hot chocolate in the lobby for guests the first night I stayed, which was a nice surprise. The location was incredible to walk around the city and to the Naval Academy. The closest parking was several blocks away, and with old brick sidewalks I couldn't roll my suitcase. I had to carry it. Plus, there weren't the cookies and cider the second night. I'm not sure why and I was kind of looking forward to them after the first night. The room and bathroom were very tiny, too much of the room was taken up by furniture. I had to turn sideways to get past the bed and dresser to get to the bathroom. Also, the pillows weren't comfortable at all, they were too soft.
My wife and I started at the Robert Johnson House for a weekend trip to Annapolis. The hotel was well located, and pretty nice. Overall, I liked the hotel. If I'm ever going to stay overnight in Annapolis again, I'll likely stay in one of the Historic Inns again. The cable didn't get a good signal, though. After a day of walking, I wanted to relax and watch TV, but the picture and sound kept cutting out. Luckily I can watch Netflix in my phone.
The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable Our sink repeatedly expelled gas and grime from the drain. We were in Room 318 of the Maryland Inn. It is a triangle, with the bathroom at the top point, and busy streets on two of the sides of the main room. The street noise was very loud from both sides which made it hard to relax or sleep. It took us 45 minutes to get our car from valet parking the first morning we were there.
privacy...historic...very well run & would stay with them again what brings my rating down is their restaurant, "The Treat of Paris". it is a poor, poor restaurant that represents itself as historic/romantic fine dining when the food was half rate at best. service tried, but it seemed their was a lack of management to oversee it (basic service, issues with food temps, food coming out cold). it's areal Shane that such an established institution as this restaurant has been badly managed to the point of just surviving on its laurels..even the locals tried to warm me that these days it's a tourist trap
