The quietness and professionalism of the staff
The bed was better than ours at home. I never thought to check it before I left but I would like to know the make and model of the mattress.
I was very surprised by the size of the room for the booking price paid. It was very close to several eateries and grocery stores, Unfortunately, we could only stay one night.
The owners sleep at night so if you show up late you will be waking them up. But they do get up and serve you with two sleepy eyes. LOLThey were extremely helpful with directions to scenic view close by. Very polite and accommodating. Hair conditioner and a hair dryer were not provided but the shower was the best I ever had.
The room was very comfortable and spacious.Would reccomend No complaints had everything we wanted
we found it to be quiet at night, which was nice,we were close enuf to attractions, but not caught up in the hustle of it. coulda had more towels, with the hot tub suite...a robe woulda of been nice also.
The room was clean and comfortable. 1. There were no real breakfast there - only some cookies. 2. I was unable to get the real invoice for my stay.
Location, Staff, Cleanliness, Price SLOW wifi
Great location for the Falls, easy walking distance, car not necessary to move aroung the area. Very comfortable bed, good hot water, quiet room. Good value for the area Room cleaning was not so good, spilled food behind the dresser. Continrntal breakfast wa pretty basic
for what you get out of the price to stay it is a good deal
I like that the non smoking rooms are far enough away from the smoking rooms. The 'continental breakfast' leaves much to be desired.
Close to the attractions, clean rooms, free parking Still has poor breakfast options, hard to find room in basement
Good location for the price Should of had microwave or coffee maker in room
i did not like anything. staff treated me as a child. could not even bring friends into my room without being questioned by staff. the way the manager treated me with no respect.
The great location and accommodating staff. The amenities were lacking but were comparable to those at nearby locations.
The Jacuzzi in the room was nice. The air conditioning was a life saver. Plenty of towels. Pillows were a little small on the King sized bed. A balcony would have been nice.
Hotel was very quiet and very clean. Great view of the ships going thru the Welland canal and with biking or easy driving distance to other lockes in canal and visitor centers. Hotel was easy to find lots of parking and private balconies. Office did not open until 7:30 so it was hard to leave early to turn in the key. No phones in room (cell phone plan did not include canada). Wireless was spotty at best.
The view of Welland Canal is awesome from every room in this hotel as the balcony is facing the lock. A trail for running and biking also starts near this hotel and makes a great running path in the morning (assuming weather is good). They surprised us with a $10/child/night charge (every child over 5) on the morning we left that wasn't part of booking. No shampoo, soap, and few towels (even though they charged). English language barrier with owner can be issue. A/C was lacking.
Nothing! Everything! Staff was rude, prices way too high, rooms very small, location awful.
Great place to stay..can't beat the price.
I loved the friendliness of the lady that was running it....made me feel right at home!!
Very friendly atmosphere, nice environment. Clean room and bathroom. Easily accessed and close to Clifton Hill and the Falls. The owner was very informative about the activities and the attractions at the Falls The breakfast, even though it was satisfactory, was rather poor with mainly sweet tastes (nutella, jam and honey). The decoration and style of the motel can be more fashionable and refurbished.
Came from the US to stay at Niagara falls. The hotel is older, but very clean and the owners are very accommodating. The breakfast was surprisingly good, and the rooms are equipped with a stove/sink/refrigerator, and has pots/pans/table settings, which is nice when you're traveling. The outside area was very nice with a pool, playground, and picnic area with a grill. The outside area was decorated with plenty of flowers the the owners keep up very well. Overall, or would definitely recommend it. The tv in our room went in and out (my parents said theirs worked fine so maybe it was just our room), and there were not very many outlets (so you had to unplug the AC to plug in the coffee pot)...But these were minor inconveniences.
Had a good pool. BBQ facilities for visitor use. Management were friendly and helpful. Quiet and restfull.
The staff, and the outside area The lock on the door didn't work well.
Clean room, very nice staff and close to everything. Pool was clean and relaxing after a hot day at the falls. Hotel is far enough from the crowds but easy walk to falls and US side and Clifton Hill. The parking at $15 for guests and non guests are the same, somewhat ridiculous. The breakfast buffet is $10 and no free coffee at the hotel lobby. Very high prices after spending money to stay there.
I loved the pool, hottub, sauna area. Great for families!! Rooms a bit dated; however, doesn't matter. Price was right and very clean. No lunch available - restaurant closed on Monday of the March break?? Seriously. Also, breakfast included for a flat rate would've been a nice touch.
My 11 year old daughter is not shy when it comes to asking for help. She befriended one of the housekeepers, Darlene, early on in our stay. Darlene was so kind to my daughter even making sure to tell me what a ray of sunshine she was.
Beds were really comfortable. The staff were helpful. Loved the kids pool adjacent to the swimming pool. Good water pressure in the room shower. Location was great! Far enough from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk or catch the WeGo bus. Dated! But clean. Torn carpet, old fixtures. Wifi was terrible unless you were in the lobby. Breakfast was a little expensive.
location and the beds and the price
Fairly close to the falls. There was an indoor pool. Rooms are in need of essential repairs. Our shower and bath tub was backed up, had leaky faucets for the sink. Rusted bath tub that suggested there might be a bigger moisture issue in the bathroom. The wall paper was clearly paling off the walls around the entire room. The double beds were the most lumpy and uncomfortable things we've had to sleep on.
what i like in this hotel is the calmness of the area and the staff was so friendly. it's better if they enhance better their services. I didn't like being obliged to go to the elevator's area to be able to connect to wireless internet. I suggest to extend the coverage to the rooms walkway at least.
The sliding glass door opened. False advertising. No restaurant or bar - advertised but was told it was seasonal Front desk staff rude Wifi - only available in hallway by the elevators and lobby Spoke to staff and was told hotel was full they didnt guarantee wifi. Would have stayed elsewhere if this was the case. No air conditioning. This was huge!!! Thought ac was broken and was told that weather was getting colder and the hotel had turned off the ac and turned on all of the heaters. It was 68 degrees. I have travelled all over and stayed in 2 star to 5 star hotels. Never have I been told that I could no longer use my ac. Not sure if this is an issue with kayak or Travel lodge but this is clearly false advertising. Also, when the heater/fan did come on it spit water out onto the floor and bed.
The buffet breakfast for $10 per adult. Walking distance to the falls and Clifton Hill We were placed on the first floor which felt like a basement. The rooms were outdated, musty and damp. The carpet was loose and needs to be cleaned. The cleaning staff cleaned half of the room, my son made the 2nd bed and they left towels on the floor. The adjoining room, which was family, had their room door left open. The amount paid per room, I was hoping for something a little nicer. I felt that because we booked with an outside agency, we were stuck in the basement instead of the main building which was nicer. There was signs stating there was vacancy, so I'm sure we didn't have to be put where we were.
I liked the location and was amazingly surprise if the facilities offered as well as the room lay out. Parking was right there and even though we were 5 mins walking distance from the falls and all the entertainment we were away from the noise. N/A
The service was great, good directions and they gave us a late checkout. We booked a city view room but got a corner room looking over the pool and parking
Nice and simple motel no secrets or forced silling Clean rooms. Wifi signals and speed non-existent No breakfast Motel staff only present 9 to 5 No shops, restaurants etc in proximity, must have a car.
I liked how affordable the rooms were. Coming from out of the country the staff made our transition good. The owner was very friendly and knew a lot of things to do around town. From my room we could see the gorge. The location on River Road made it an easy drive to the falls and back. The biggest reason I wanted to stay at the Crystal Inn was the price but I was pleasantly surprised with the service, rooms, location, and bang for the buck. I'll be back. The only things I can really think of is the rooms were a little outdated and the Internet was down (due to wind)
Just the basis, but excellent for the price. A great value.
Value, cleanliness, comfort, great staff and location to the falls Additional parking fee BUT ALL (or at least most) of the "falls area" hotels/motels are charging this fee
The room was very clean Had to pay for parking inspite of the hotel being far from hotel also the room was very small
Standard hotel, with comfy beds. For two days parking in the parking lot, it came to 20 something dollars.
Friendly Staff Noisy room, people in the next room weren't that loud but everything they said could be clearly overheard.
Front desk staff were more than willing to provide some of the amenities not available in the room, hotel was very clean, close to attractions and highway Toilet seemed to get clogged very easily
Nothing Very poor quality. I would not stay there again.
third time there and everything was okay we do not like having to pay for parking and we were lucky to find a parking spot sice there were cars even parked on the grass on the street. Also since i paid for the room in advance and since it was approved i do not like haing to pay a $50 deposit on my visa card especially since it will not be refunded till later. For these reasons i may not return to this motel
Basic hotel but clean and fresh with very good staff. Lots of on-site parking and within easy walking distance of the Falls and other attractions.
It was really close to the USA and Canada border. It was very close to the Seneca Casino we walked. Shopping we had to drive a bit but was great. It's really outdated. The pillows are not great. The WiFi didn't work for some reason.
It was extremely clean, and it met my expectations and I would do business with them again. My neighbors. They were loud.
Parking is not included if purchased through someone other than Motel 6. There was an issue with the shower.
It was clean, neat and tidy, and we enjoyed the pool. It was convenient and quiet. It was easily accessible. None.
This motel had the cleanest rooms I have ever seen!! drive up to the front door easy access and swimming pool, very good value for money, I've paid 4 times more for 4 times worse. 10 miles from the Falls. hey we had transport..eh.
The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The coffee was not good. You can't expect more because it's free.
The rooms were very clean and the price was excellent. Could have used more than two towels in the room.
Overall the hotel was ok; I would call it a motel though. Decent price, with clean rooms, better looking from outside that the other motels on Lundy’s lane. My only disappointment was that they could not provide a crib for my 5 months old baby, but I kind of expected that.
The motel room was very clean The frig was very very noisy and the tv remote didnt work
it isnothing to say i didnt like anything special it is normal hotel but the smell is not perfect the smell , and the price was 95 + tx = 109 and they say to me it is 109 +tax=126
big beds, clean room, we arrived at 2.00 in the morning and there was no problem to take our room, clean bathroom we were stayed only one night so I have no bad comments
location of the Inn and not having to depend on the use of a car, as transit is located right at the door. Not to many restaurants to choose from at this location.
It's clean and pretty comfortable.
Staff was friendly AC was noisy, but the room was clean.
It was good experience there. not too far from the Niagara and has bus service right from the door.
I had no issues checking in. The room was ready when I arrived. Free parking, mini-fridge in the room A few dead bugs were found in very visible spots. No coffee maker, no continental breakfast.
Just that it was in Niagara Falls and we were able to walk downtown. The bathroom was dirty and the tub paint had a massive whole in it. My shower whether in the morning or night was always cold. The barbecue facilities was not what I expected. There was one tiny run down barbecue that looked like it was ready to fall apart.
- Not bad for tempory - Insects. - Closing the ac all night. - No slipping in bathroom.
I stayed in room 4. I scratched for 2 nights and on third night I found the reason, bed Bugs.
The staff was very friendly. Room was small but comfortable. The carpets were filthy, both mine and my boyfriends feet were black after just a few minutes of walking on them. We had to wear our shoes inside.
the car park design,is very near to all the rooms. the size of the room, too small for us.(2 adults and 1 infant)
It's good but juste for 1 ou 2 nights you can't seet for taking your breakfast
Comfy and silent Alarm clock did not work, stains on rug
i won't stay over there. there are no towel in the washroom and we ask for the towel, and we found out the towel is so dirty. air-conditioner make big noisy. basketfast is so poor. a lot of cockroaches in the washroom. very dirty.
only good thing about the hotel its 5mins to the falls. there where no kind of breakfast laundry room was not updated and the rooms where small.
Great value for the money. No hidden fees The door didn't lock from the inside and in the morning we figured out that it locked automatically.
It was quiet. The owners were very pleasant to talk with. We went for breakfast, but there really was no breakfast as advertised, just a snack-in-a-corner.
The hotel was within easy reach of the town centre, the room was clean and comfortable and the price was good. The complementary breakfast was a little sparse.
they dont give breakfest, just a muffin and coffee
Free parking We were given a room where the wifi signal did not reach. The breakfast was a joke
It is close enough to the city (3 km away), which is nice and quiet. There are eateries within walking distance. There is microwave in the room which is great. The room may not be luxurious, but it is definitely clean and functional and reasonably priced. It would be nice if there was bread, toast, jam and butter, instead of the mini breaded croissants, muffins and donuts that you can get from at the neighbourhood grocery store.
Location was good. There was no coffee maker or fridge in room. No parking when we returned for the evening, had to create a spot. Towels were horrible, the free internet worked only in the early morning.
The friendliness and helpfulness of Angelo, the owner. This is an inexpensive hotel with few frills but very clean and with everything you need for a few days in Niagara Falls - central too.
The hotel personnel was really friendly. They waited for us, although we arrived really late. They helped us organizing seightseeing tours. The room was quite big and clean. The Niagra Falls downtown was at 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.
Value for money. close to restaurants and downtown areas; helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms.
I was close to the falls. Walking distance to a good Indian food restaurant next door and an IHOP was also next door to this place. We did not need to drive to get food. other then that nothing good to say. No elevator that we could find for out third floor stay. The stairwells where disgustingly dirty. The room was not dirty but run to the ground. I'm a contractor and the fire escape panic door hardware on the first floor exiting door was broken cause a total fire escape hazard. If this place was in the USA it would have been shut down by the fire department long ago. I did not feel safe if there was an emergency. Run down 4 channels on the TV. A new flat screen TV does you no good when you have no stations to watch. Pass on this place. Kayak has this place all wrong on the rating. I'm pissed I used them.
It was within walking distance of Niagara Falls, the room was spacious and the reception staff extremely helpful - they kept check-in open for several hours when our flight was delayed. The carpets could have been cleaner.
Staff is accomodating.
very quite, pleasant staff room didnt have a fridge
Very friendly owner, was extremely helpful. the location was excelent, walking distance from the falls. The room was very clean and we got very good value For our money. I would've liked a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room, but otherwise it was perfect. I really recomment it when you're traveling on a budget.
quiet - comfortable - clean - fridge in room Need to upgrade TV
room was quiet beds were soft. no place to get hot water for coffee or tea. Ice machine not working
The motel, located in a largely residential area, is run by a friendly Korean family. I was slightly concerned when I arrived as it seemed to be a bit out of the way, but it turned out to be about 10 to 15 minutes' walk from the main shopping and dining street, and about 20 to 30 minutes' walk from the Falls. It is a two-storey drive-in style motel. There are no lifts. The room, while simple, was clean and properly supplied with fresh towels, soap and shampoo. There was a TV in the room, and I appreciated the free wireless Internet service (though the signal was slightly weak). Within about 5 to 10 minutes' walk from the motel there was a grocery store run by an Indian family, and at least two restaurants serving inexpensive breakfasts. The hotel is a bit far from the Rainbow Bridge, so if one is coming to Niagara Falls from the US side, it would probably take quite long to get there on foot with luggage. I took a taxi from the bus station on the US side. The taxi drivers decline to use their meters when crossing between the US and Canada. The first driver I spoke to wanted to charge US$30. The second one offered US$25, so I took his taxi instead. (All prices not including tips.)
It was a very good price for a comfortable room, a little outdated but had a nice two person jacuzzi and fireplace. Queen size bed wasn't the most comfortable but we slept fine. Nothing bad to say. For the money, excellent room and service!
the staff was really kind and very informative. not at all. I loved everything
The rooms were really spacious, recently renovated, very clean, the owner was very helpful & it looked pretty all lit up at night. Rooms as pictured on booking.com website. Car parking for free on site. It's a little bit out of the main strip (which could also be a good thing), a good 5-10 minute walk, just for people to be aware.
the location-nearby the activities in the city
Location was perfect
very clean room next door ,having party.I was unable to sleep
It would have nice to have a TV in the bedroom
The Bathroom and room was clean. The A/C works well, Parking is good I
Stuff are nice and the room was very clean n large! No boiler in the room.
Located away from the main expensive tourist area yet still within walking distance of the main attraction (the Niagara Falls). On a stay with a duration of longer than one night the rooms were not tidied and cleaned during the day between the nights. Clean towels were charged at an additional rate.
