The location was perfect, very central and we were fortunate to get rooms overlooking the stream that runs through the village centre. Bedrooms were large, clean and comfortable. Hotel very quaint with a lovely open fire at the back, staff very helpful and breakfast delicious.
Very friendly staff, nice food, good breakfast with late service and 11am check-out
The surrounding area, the water and the beautiful scenery. It is in a great place, Bourton On The Water is a small village, very quaint. The manager is very attentive to clients, he works very hard at making things go well.
Some staff had walked out during the last days so the restaurant food and service was poor. Management recognised this problem but should have closed evening services. The room is much smaller than the pictures, you have a false impression that your room will be bigger so we were disappointed with this. The service in other restaurants were also mediocre.
Location very good, food very good, staff very friendly.
Toilet had not been cleaned to standard, room very very very cold no heating at all. Reported this problem to reception next day.
Hotel was very central for exploring the Cotswolds.
I was unable to park in the hotel carpark but did find parking 100 metres away.
Food was good in the bar & breakfast was fresh & very good
First room very poor small & looked in need of update. Over breakfast swearing from kitchens of the otherwise helpful staff off putting - sounded like a lads night out. Dangerous light switch was reported 3 times and nothing done to my knowledge - we changed room but the switch was dangerous
Needs coat of paint. Food poor.
it was easy access to the village
The Staff, the Hotel Setting and the Food and Drink
The rooms were a little small, but fine for a weekend break
Terrific village location. Nice old English atmosphere. Friendly staff
I was traveling with my elderly mother (and mentioned that in my booking comments)and we were put into an annex room up a very steep flight of stairs. Hard for her to manage
