9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place to stay! The host is super friendly, makes a very good breakfast and we could use here bbq during our stay! The room and bathroom are big and really comfy. Especially the shower and bed were amazing. And if you want to go to movieworld the location is super, just a 10 minute drive and free and safe parking.
Cons: The Wi-Fi doesn't work proper in the room. The room is at the end of the hallway and the signal is not strong enough.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed. Great kitchen. Easy undercover FREE parking
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautifully designed building. Comfy bed.
Cons: Cheap furnishings, cheap consumables, very poorly styled, dead plants in common gardens. Check-in difficult with no lighting at key safe, and other details not provided. Has potential for 10/10 if overall attention to detail is improved. Thank you.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beds extra comfy. Air con worked. Loved the proximity to restaurants and supermarket.
Cons: Free Wi-fi would have been great.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was new and clean.
Cons: The construction and furnishings were very cheap. Unit was very light at night and hard to sleep. Difficult access through a residential area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good views and very nice apartments.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome! Will go there again thank you !!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and easy to find. Gorgeous new property for a great price.
Cons: Loved it all!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Amenities like towels were few and far between
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to family in Hope Island
Cons: Could have a mirror in bedroom
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Size and space was excellent.
Cons: No wifi available despite its inclusion in property facilities information. This is very poor given internet access is an expectation. Another concern was the necessity to email photographs of credit card and photo ID - surely such practice could lead to identity theft and if this occurs in my case I shall hold the property responsible. Arrival at the complexes front gate and need to call security did not go smoothly and the direction to the safe where apartment key located was unclear. Luckily cleaning staff were close by and assisted in locating this.
Overview Reviews
InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort reflects the grand, graceful architecture of a Queensland estate. Located a short distance from the tourist mecca, the hotel is near Gold Coast theme parks, just a 10-minute drive away. Our resort is tucked within the beautiful surrounds of Sanctuary Cove, ideal for a hotel beach wedding in Australia. This Gold Coast accommodation boasts a marina, acclaimed golf courses, one-acre lagoon beach pool and lush garden landscapes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and service. Breakfast could be better served but not an issue.
Cons: Breakfast area too small and limited choice.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: They need to do something about the Ibis , sooo many there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy, excellent breakfasts
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Gold Coast is such a busy place however in contrast - Sanctuary Cove lived up to its name - a respite from life's hustle and bustle, a quieter spot off the beaten track to relax and unwind. I enjoyed seeing kangaroos feeding on the hotel lawn and listen to Australian birds during early morning walks. The juicer machine at the breakfasts was a highlight for freshly squeezed fruit/vege drinks. The hotel surrounds were beautiful and nicely maintained. The village area within walking distance was handy.
Cons: Please dont put this in official review - but I thought the uniform of some of the concierge workers could have appeared smarter and more professional - however they were always helpful when asked for any request.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly environment .cleaniness and great customer service it’s like traveling to an overseas resort with the bonus of not travelling outside Australia
Cons: The closed coffee beverage huts that used to be open prior
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast great, staff friendly, rooms clean. Pool good.concierges helpful and friendly
Cons: Fscllitirs A little dated. Noisy guests next door not responded to by management, I had to do it. No Gym of fitness facilities other than pool. My son and I both had eye burns from pool Chlorine levels. Left to call Doctor myself after reported to management. Rooms need some amenities to make stay witht kids a bit easier.; Microwave, toaster, coffee maker anything to make a bit less austere and bare and more practical and homely. Shuttle bus to beach and other activities would be handy as bit far from these.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 36 hole golf resort ( I don’t play golf) incredible resort style salt water pool and man made sandy beach island..... Great location to Marina Shopping area.....
Cons: Terrible service at top floor restaurant. Main restaurant closed on Sunday and Monday nights..... level of bar and most people drinking all night..... service for food was terrible. ( spike to hotel manager with complaint) I would return with my family! Great resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent. The staff are very welcoming. Pool area is fabulous.
Cons: On this occasion everything was perfect
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful location, great pool and facilities. Family friendly with great breakfast and food options. Feels like you are a world away from everything. Room was spacious with robes and slippers to use.
Cons: Room wasn't ready on arrival at 3, offered nothing for this inconvenience , mini bar had used items in it from previous guests, which we advised about 3 times, and although we were not charged they were not replenished or actioned, dirty towel in the bath room. Peoples before us luggage was still in the cupboard in our room when we entered, it was removed quickly but shouldn't have been there.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is old school in the best possible way...traditional but very stylish decor, beautiful parquetry floors even in our room, old fashioned polite service and very helpful people. The facilities are amazing and the pool was warm enough to be a very pleasant experience in the middle of the Gold Coast's winter. Having a full buffet breakfast included in our room price made the whole stay very good value for money. This was our second stay here and we enjoyed being up higher where we had gorgeous views of the marina and the hotel's artificial beach.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was the feather pillows! I'm sure some people like those pillows that you sink into and get lost in, but I prefer to have some neck support. Everything else was fantastic and we'll be back!

5.5 Okay
Pros: Staff smiled and were reasonably engaged.
Cons: I was allocated a room at the every end of the complex the staff member advised me it was an upgrade. It was very tired, the blind was broken (piece missing) the lounge was worn with peeled patches of the arms. Worst of all the toilet smelt of sewage. Dining room had no atmosphere, no table set up; coffee didn't taste like coffee. Room services hours and options are limited with no healthy choices. Bar not closed for private function with no option offered to enjoy a drink prior to going out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent. Lovely comfortable beds, bliss for sleeping. Nice view from room
Cons: Nothing to note
7.5 Good
Pros: The marina view, breakfast buffet, room.
Cons: Room service took over an hour just for chips and calamari. The longest confusing walk to reception and our room. Faster to cut through front
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Pillow selection would be nice. Pillows were too high - I sleep in a slimmer pillow at home
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the view, loved the lobby. Service from staff was really good - friendly, practical, easy, eager to help. loved the boardwalk. comfy beds, good sized room and loved looking over the marina. great car parking, Good showers.
Cons: Rooms are starting to look a little dated. Access to room service would have been helpful as we worked long hours while there and couldn't easily access food. Even short order food and a glass of wine would have been ok. We would have spent money on the mini bar if there was one, as we bought a pizza but there was not any access to a beverage. More coffee sachets inthe room than just 2 per person would have been nice. More than one towel pp woudl have been nice (girls wash their hair and liek to wrap ina towel etc.
7.5 Good
Pros: For the discounted price, breakfast was reasonable. The room was clean and the location directly on the canal was lovely. We had a room right by the pool, very pretty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff welcoming, check in was efficient and the breakfast food choices plentiful. This is my number 1 choice for accommodation. I would like to return again soon.
Cons: Leaving.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, peaceful, clean, comfortable, good breakfast variety, current movies to watch
Cons: Was a bit out of the way but had good signage. Pool not heated
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious & clean property. A little out of the way but very manageable if you have a car.
Cons: Located in an area where you can easily receive sand fly bites. The kitchenette is completely devoid of any equipment like toaster or microwave. There is a electric jug & small fridge only.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The food at the breakfast buffet was great and cooked nicely
Cons: The woolies nearby closed before 9, there isn’t anything open after 9 and so you have to drive to harbour town to get groceries or do something entertaining

6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly staff on check in. Security lady who changed air com temp was friendly.
Cons: Air con is preset and no remotes in the room. We are shift workers and used to sleeping in cold rooms, but dont wish for the room to always be that cold!! Very inconvenient having to ring security to get the air con turned off heat. Fan only had one speed that worked. All pillows very low and soft. A little overpriced.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, quietness, couldn't hear any traffic.very spacious room, well appointed.
Cons: Only thing I would suggest would be to add a little coffee table for somewhere to place drinks.

Pros: The location is excellent and a few minutes walk to Paradise Point Shops and Restaurants. Doug and Kathy the resident managers Five Stars for customer service.

Allure Stradbroke Resort - Stradbroke Island - Building

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Allure Stradbroke Resort in Point Lookout, you'll be on the beach, within a 10-minute walk of Cylinder Beach and Home Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the beach shack had everything you could possibly want even down to the salt and pepper grinders. absolutely fantastic... couldn't have asked for a more lovely two days.
Cons: this was a most excellent adventure and an outstanding 12 out of 10!! I couldn't recommend it enough.
7.5 Good
Pros: Loved the fact that the beach was only a few minutes walk away.
7.0 Good
Pros: Private garden setting. Nice cafe/pizza restaurant at the property.
Cons: No heating in the bathroom. No wifi in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean! The location is perfect for exploring the island from.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our beach shack exceeded expectations, very well maintained and included everything to make our weekend easy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great layout, private yet close to facilities
Cons: No bedside tables in upper bedroom. Dining room needs at least one bright bulb - Eco light bulbs were not bright enough in this location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything.
Cons: The lounge along wall very uncomfortable. A minor issue though. The place was great and well equipped.
6.8 Good
Pros: Large villa, well-equipped kitchen, private, large deck with ample seating, full laundry and parking at the door. Fabulous cafe/patisserie/pizzeria out front (not part of the complex) with an awesome team, generous breakfast, seriously good sourdough and pastries made on site, and quality pizza at night. Hope they take over management of the accommodation!
Cons: Nowhere in the description did it mention the children's bunk room (two sets of bunks) was in a separate pavilion to the adult rooms. Both are accessed by key and in entirely different buildings separated by an external deck. Definitely not suitable at all for primary school aged kids. The wifi is available for 30 minutes per day and only around the pool area... and only if you manage to get the password upon check-in. The 'welcome' compendium is a series of 'how we'll fine you for inconveniencing us' lists and appears to have been written by the Gestapo. The young lady at the front desk appears to be there under duress and displays a care factor of zero, evident in her dismissive tone when another guest came to report water leaking from the ceiling onto a power point as we were checking out. She did absolutely nothing about it, much to that family's dismay.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Proximity to the beach was fantastic. The villa was clean and had everything we needed.
Cons: The kids were in a separate room to us so that meant that we had to leave our cabin unlocked through the night just in case the kids needed the loo in the night or if they woke before us in the morning. Wasn't comfy with them being outside in the middle of the night without one of us. The pool wasn't heated as advertised and the gym was 'out of order'.
Coomera Motor Inn - Coomera - Bedroom

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great . Close to everything . The rooms are clean and large in size with great bathrooms . Has good aircon/heating
Cons: My only complaint is a big one as we all found the beds very uncomfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facility was in a very convenient place to amusement parks. It had a laundry. A solar heated pool. Cable TV. Air condition. Breakfast was provided for a small charge and if you were in a group you could book for a group. Nice beds. Great blankets! Check out was really convenient as well.
Cons: There is no way I could write anything negative about the property or the staff. We needed a convenient place after a church gathering and it was close, convenient and very affordable. So glad we tried it out. We've seen it a few times and thought we might try out the facility.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location for what we needed.

6.3 Good
Cons: The bed was hard, the shower was mouldy,
5.8 Okay
Pros: If you want a bedroom with a bathroom across the hall, this is the place for you.
Cons: If you want air conditioning do NOT stay here. The owners turn it off after 9:30pm and only turn it on during the day when you ask. The TV is in a separate room that is not air conditioned either, so kind of useless.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very big and spacious granny flat. It would of been nice to have some basic food as shops aren’t close with no car. Loved it was perfect for the Boatshow. I would stay again.
Cons: No food in cupboard or fridge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Everything was great
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good size room,
Cons: Stained carpet, no tea or coffee making facilities, paid extra for room with balcony and views - faces Street, balcony off living room not bedroom, no remote so could not use TV. Room with key but it would not come out of lock.
6.8 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds and friendly owners.
Cons: Advertising of rooms is misleading. We were given one bathroom to share between 6 people, whereas I had booked rooms with both a private bathroom and a shared bathroom.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Sharing bathroom
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome and treated like family
Cons: Towels and face washers need to be provided for guests. Stairs awkward with a broken leg
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and parking was easy to find.
Cons: The heat within the room made the lack of air conditioing quite noticeable. It was okay, but preferable if the shared bathroom status would be advised prior to arrival rather than on arrival.

This resort has facilities measuring 3541 square feet (329 square meters), including a conference center. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: location and room was great
Cons: price was a little dear but not too many choices on south Stradbroke island
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful location, sunset bar, restaurant and pool cafe great, good food and pool cafe buffet good value, entertainment on fri and Saturday night was excellent! Reception staff accomodating. Love the natural surrounds and natural wildlife.
Cons: Staff seemed a little overwhelmed by the busy school holidays makers. Seems like they weren’t expecting many people. Eg. Easter activities. Also all kids bike trailers were booked out in advance but we noticed trailers were sitting at the bike area all Friday/Saturday. My sister was staying in an eco-cabin with a 3 year old so she had to walk back to her cabin at night in the rain. We were offered to be on a waiting list and did finally get a phone call on Sunday to say that the trailer was available which made her experience so much better but it seems that it could have been organised a it better.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Clean - f&b staff friendly, food good
Cons: Not being told that you had to pre book a ferry, arrived at the harbour with no ferry’s running and with no other option we had to get a water taxi @ $110 and then be charged another $56 to get off the island. With the room rate, getting to the hotel I could have stayed in the Grand Sheraton. Receptionist argued that booking.com don’t take payment, when they did! Some training on booking.coms T&C’s are a must because not that it’s embarrassing being told we haven’t paid but its having to go into your bank statement to show that the money has been taken and yes booking.com do actually take payments. Wouldn’t recommend!
6.8 Good
Pros: Rather expensive for a run down resort BUT THE STAFF WERE FANTASTIC!! Only one restaurant open, but the food was GREAT!
Cons: Arrived late Sun, most places closed IE bike hire, general store. Nothing to do at night, only one restaurant open. No paid tv, dvds or anything to do at night Paid full price for off season facilities. Surf club closed. Bottles of wine had to be purchased from the restaurant at top price. Fuse blew when we were in the middle of cooking breakfast - fixed fairly quickly, but too late to enjoy. Mini golf needs upgrade, as do the walkways etc,. Very run down. When you add the ferry trip to the room rate, it is not value for money. Sadly will not return.
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly and very helpful the location was pretty good the activities would be enjoyable in the summertime when there's more stuff on a whatever
Cons: The ferry times are no good have to be back before 3:30 is no good for a holiday no ability to go out at night and especially when you seeing family and friends and charging top dollar for food that is absolutely rubbish you're charging like it's the most expensive quality product when the product is absolutely garbage .other than that it was pretty good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived everything was great! The Marlin bar restaurant had a small but amazing menu! I ordered the Crab lasagne and it was 5 star! My partner ordered the soup of the day and for a simple soup it was also super delicious beyond expectations! Worth the money :) super friendly staff and locals are also very welcoming! The kids activities that the resort has on offer was also a great treat for our 5 year old, she made many friends! We have already booked to return.. Highly recommend!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing quiet location close to Gold Coast.
Cons: Expensive food & wine. Pool was closed for renovation without warning.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Family activities were fantastic kids yoga and kayaks were a big hit . Always lots to do. Great coffee at Marlin Bar. And Sunset Beach Bar was our fav!
Cons: The food at the all the restaurants is incredibly over priced . $8 for toast ,$28 for 1 piece of fish no sides $27 for a burger is just crazy . I'm lucky we tried to cook most of our meals in our room otherwise it would of been a very expensive trip for just 3 days.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Stunning , beautiful views and lots to do. Our balcony view was perfect. Free kayaks and the sunset beach was amazing. Lovely place for the weekend. Very relaxing place and vibe. Would definitely go again now we know what to expect.
Cons: Room was quite dirty. Ceiling fans were thick with dust and the room smelled quite strange. Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable so we did not sleep well sadly. The tv did say movies on demand but there were no movies just tv. Everything on the island is super expensive (pack of beer was $35) and not good quality so be aware. We ordered a pasta for $32 and it was the worst pasta I have ever eaten. Although the server was great and took it off the bill. If it was worth the money we wouldn’t have minded. Bring your own food it will be better.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location location location
Cons: Really unhappy with the staff. Almost every interaction was difficult when it never had to be.
