Pros: The view is spectacular. The personnel was very friendly. Beds were really comfortable and standard of the room was very high considering it's a hostel. Breakfast was included in the price as well as access to washing machine and dryer. I highly recommend this place.
When visiting Strand, Verkshotellet is a great choice to consider. You can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or wind down at the end of the day with a drink from the bar/lounge. There's a terrace, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and room service.
Pros: Location was convenient to Tau ferry station.
Cons: Mildew all over bathroom. Monstrous mosquitos in public areas. Breakfast area not cleaned after table left. Shower would shut off after 20 seconds so you had to keep pressing it to finish your shower.
Lilland Hotell is a great choice for a stay in Strand. Guests indulge in massages, then grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. A bar/lounge and a terrace are other highlights, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and free WiFi.
