It's beautiful The staff weren't super nice and you had to pay for every single thing down to the pool towel
No storagge room
Beautiful hotel, approx 1 km from Monteriggioni. Fabulous pool with jacuzzi inside. Lovely big rooms. No
The best we liked was the staff and the location due to the nearby villages to be visited. Breakfast and toilett supplies could be better.
friendly and helpful staff, nice building design, nice facilities, cleaniness
Very little. The atmosphere was very unfriendly. The beds were very hard and it is very isolated.
iot was terrible .. a holiday inn by teh side of theroad. we waited 45 minutes for our dinner due to a large party which keep us up to 1 AM terrible place. dirty room and run down never again we left early
Overall, Il Piccolo Castello is well located for visiting the various attractions in the Tuscany reason. Hotel staff was friendly and provided good services. Breakfast buffet had good variety of food choices. Dinner was also excellent. (1) Air Conditioning - setting are automatically controlled and shut off overnight unless guest requested otherwise. Room can be hot and stuffy without air conditioning. (2) Some ants in room.
Nice garden and pool, good breakfast. The room was cold, the heating was loud and inefficient.
tranquility, size of room
i loved the hotel. my only complaint is that it costs 20 euro per person to use the pool. lovely hotel, great area
perfect location for exploring Cianti, palazzo fully renovated with all amenities, everything in high quality level,we would like to come back !
Well equipped, comfortable rooms with good lighting. clean, quiet and well placed for our trip.
Very nice staff, excellent rooms. The SPA had very restrictive hours. The breakfast should be better in order to keep up with the rest.
This hotel is secluded and quiet. The rooms are extremely well appointed and the staff is courteous and helpful. Internet access is free. Parking is convenient with a large lot that is much less challenging than most European hotle lots. The parking lot is outside the city wall about 200 meters from the hotel. There is a loadng zone for guests in front of the hotel. The hotel is a bit removed from restaurants. The town is very hilly and walking to restaurants is a good workout. There is one restaurant about 100 meters from the hotel.
Rolando at the front desk - sweet man! Tried to be so helpful. The pair of golden retrievers were precious too.
This is a wonderful property, located in Tuscany, near Siena, Florence and in the heart of the Chianti wine region. The staff was friendly, the food was great and the ambiance perfect
quiet location, beautiful environment, delicious food, elegant furnishings of the room no internet connection in the room; long waiting time for a too big snack
Great setting and beautiful grounds. restaurant service for evening meals was terrible. We never returned after the first night.
Nice place. Restaurant service was nonorganized and poor. The road to the hotel was bad.
The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The staff was exceptional. Our every wish was fulfilled. I can not say enough about the hotel, staff and our stay. We absolutely loved it! To explore Tuscany you do need a car.
We like garden, a lot of space for kids to play, pool, nice restaurant by the pool. Breakfast was excellent. No
Beautiful settings, nice rooms and very nice grounds The hotel seems to cater mainly to functions. We stayed 2 nights and due to 3!! different functions in two days, it was not possible to either dine outside by the pool or use the terrace. Guests were not given any option but had to sit inside although it was almost 30 degrees outside!! Also, no effort was put into the buffet for house guests. No decoration, nothing. All the efforts were put into functions (Friday, Nissan and Walt Disney, Saturday night, wedding). If the hotel wishes to cater to large functions then it should have seperate facilities to do this and not at the cost of the hotel guests. Many guests were annoyed and outraged, especially Saturday night.
Professional staff, beautiful surroundings, great breakfast, good location near Siena.
Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere
Nice atmosphere. Relaxing. For people who like to have a quiet hotel and not crowded. The breakfast was very basic. Not a 4 star hotel quality.
Quiet accomodation ,fair price for fair room. The facility "decor" is unique but something is missing for the ambiance. Maybe low frequentation that night. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was not up to our expectation. Limited amount of client (3 or 4 tables) probably account for quality of food, which was fair. Wine was just a little over price but service was good.
The buidling and atmosphere and friendliness of staff - we also upgraded our room to one overlooking the old town which was much nicer than the "superior room" we had booked which was very dark and quite plain. Too close to a busy main road and dogs barking all night. Also the restaruant was not open in the evenings and there was no room service - there were also no clear directions on web site or actual signage on the road from Sienna so we drove past etc
This is a converted monastery that was built in the 10th century or earlier. It is an amazing hotel. Service is great and the rooms and facilities are very nice.
The location is v.good - short driving distances to San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni, & Volterra. Hotel is on the outskirts of town, but still reasonable walking distance to main centre of Colle di Val D'Elsa. The staff are all very pleasant & helpful. Only very minor things like lack of 1 or 2 ameniites in the bathroom (eg tissues)
It was a super location in the heart of Tuscany. Buses to Sienna and Florence are just up the road and a great cafe and restaurant are across the road. The Hotel had a very relaxed feel and excellent outdoor surroundings/pool. Breakfast was 15 euros per person and very overpriced for what it was. The main bar area felt souless and we saw no-one use it.
The room was over two floors, a fantastic amount of space. Nothing, the room was excellent.
Nice gardens and pool This hotel is over promoted and does not live up to the claims made in its marketing. It is located on the edge of the town and is definitely not within walking distance of town as claimed. It is also not a 4 star property, more a like 3 star. Prperty is over priced and does not offer good value for money.
The place in general , swimming pool
The staff were charming and very helpful. Very pleasant setting. Pool and gardens were lovely. Breakfast and restaurant excellent. Our room (#401, in one of the newer outbuildings) was a bit dark -- particularly the bathroom. The furniture (bed, sofa) could have been more comfortable.
It is a nice hotel with excellent location in the center of a wonderful small town. Staff can speak English very well.
good location, good breakfast, especially coffe have to argue with receptionist after 7 hours long drive, because they booked 2 rooms, but I just booked one and then modified booking, bathroom
Good location between Sienna and Florence
friendly clean quite
friendly and helpful staff uncomfortable bathroom
The hotel was in a good location but had a bit of a hostel feel to it. The staff was very helpful though and fluent in English, which was a plus.
Staff courtesy, ample breakfast buffet
location, good breakfast buffet small parking. Need to use public 10min walk
Convinient location, good breakfast
Good location, good staff, well located for my needs (cycle trip) and very reasonable price for the quality.
Beautiful location in the hills of Tuscany. Close to several medieval cities to visit and vineyards for wine tasting. Good restaurant (not attached to hotel but close). Staff was very accomodating and spoke fluent English.
Very nice hotel the staff were very pleasant, helpful. Good price, very nice breakfast. Quiet, nice location.
Everything. The place was set in beautiful countryside with stunning views. It was rustic and charming. The staff were delightful , friendly and helpful. It was peaceful and I loved it. No
Nice quiet location just a few km from Monteriggioni. Everything was great, but there is no restaurant at CB just breakfast so you have to book the village restaurant.
Although there was no employee in the hotel after 10 pm, the staff was very kind and friendly. Good Breakfast, however there was no orange juice in the last morning. There was no employees in the hotel after 10 p.m.. My room was in the attic, and there was a big stair to get there (I had three big baggages, as my wife and I were in Italy for 15 days). There was an opened pack in the wardrobe with old sliced bread (ughhhhh...). There was a sauna, but we would have to pay to use it! Wi-fi internet didn´t work. Not really a castle, but a big house with a cold water pool in the field.
Quiet area, easy to get to by car, friendly and helpful.
The hotel's building was very unique and different making for a memorable experience. The room and en-suite were clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was fine and the hotel staff were more than happy to provide information about surrounding wineries and places to see. The hotel was well situated between San Gimignano and Siena and the Chianti area could be easily travelled to by car.
Comforatable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant terrace with garden and pool. Was surprised at first that the hotel had no restaurant, but plenty of restaurants on adjacent square so this was no problem.
The hotel is in a walled Tuscany hill town that is very quaint and charmming. N/A
Conveniently located. Provides many options for travelers. Close to Sienna and Florence for those that want to visit these cities; however, is in the country so is convenient for trekkers.
We liked the whole package! The hotel is beautiful, the staff (including the owners) were very nice and helpful. The Hotel is located in the very center of the mini medieval town of Monteriggioni!
Helpful staff, very pleasant location and surroundings, very good breakfast (excellent cappucinos!), good-sized room. Shower arrangement in the bathroom (a curtain creating three sides of the shower) is not ideal as it's impossible not to make the bathroom floor wet, but it's not a big problem. We thought dinner was OK but not special, even for the reasonable charge made.
nice rooms, big bathroom with bathtub, great location to explore the toscana, secure parking
Our stay at the Belvedere was comfortable and friendly. We loved all the staff and found them warm and welcoming. The meals in the Hotel restaurant were good and the croissants at breakfast some of the best I've ever tasted. The pool was refreshing!!! A bit cold for my taste but I still had several swims so it can't have been that bad! All in all a nice well run family hotel.
the hotel is ideally situtated by the crystal factory, wine cantinia, and walled cities- nice setting and enjoyed the fresh spring thought the hotel resturant was a bit pricey for dinner. the breakfast was great. they must offer a great lunch since the parking lot was packed.
Good choice for price and comfort. We were in Tuscany with a friends on a holiday for couple of days. For us the big advantage of the hotel is the location with parking place. We moved very easy each day to the nearest cities in Tuscany. Room very clean and comfortable. Nice and silent garden. Breakfast was extra paid but varied. Personel very nice and helpful. We recommend the hotel at this price to traveling people for some days in Tuscany.
This is our second stay at this hotel - it is an excellent, comfortable hotel ,very clean room, with everything in order in it. Excellent breakfast buffet. We loved the breakfasts and the garden area - very relaxing. The stay was made even more enjoyable and pleasant by the friendly and very helpful staff.Speciale thanks to Manuela and Soni.I'm sure this is the best valure-for-money hotel in that area.Definatley a place we will be returning to.It's so difficult to find the right hotel in that part of Tuscany and this is the best.Free wired internet made us feel that much more comfortable!!! Thank you again for a wonderful experience!!!!
Convenience for multi days of sightseeing and two great restaurants on site. A very charming villa with lots of history and memorabilla. Staff was very helpful and professional. Room assigned needs to have the shower updated.
Extreme friendliness of proprietors, food in restaurant excellent, very good location for sightseeing in Tuscany. Hope to return. Rooms could benefit from a little refubishment.
A maid broke an expensive Murano Glass of mine and then replaces it with a soda glass. We didn't recieve an apology and the staff was very uncurtious. A maid broke an expensive Murano Glass of mine and then replaces it with a soda glass. We didn't recieve an apology or replacement and the staff was very uncurtious. The staff at the hotel were inconsiderate and completely unfriendly from the moment we arrived and until we left. The rooms are pretty but the are dirty, the bathroom stinks and the doors and windows are thin (so you hear everything). We have never complained about a hotel before but after have something valuable broken by the staff and being dealt with the way we were, I must say something. This hotel has no hospitality whatsoever!!!
Good capuccino. Authentic location. Tennis court. Great place to sit out, watch the world go by. breakfast a bit ordinary
very nice place owner very accommodating breakfast lacks no eggs no coffee ( very bad)
Nice room, very very clean, warm welcome, everything you need for a perfect holiday! It is close to San Gimignano and Siena and the village itself is beautiful and calm. Free parking close to the house.
clean, comfortable room. friendly staff The surrounding area was a bit rundown
Quiet, cute little town in the Tuscany area.
Le Tre Perle is a B&B set very close to the old part of town. Our Italian/Australian hostess was friendly and provided a good breakfast, including real toast. She was knowledgable of the area and helpful. Parking was 100 meters away but no problem to drop bags off and then go and park. A good supermarket was close by. This would be a good town to base yourself to go to San Gimignano, Chianti and Siena. For off season she was a little more expensive than what we would expect.
