Breakfast and service were good. My room is no smoking but there are people in the building who smokes inside and the smell came into my room.
service, room cleanliness relatively loud lifts
Close to the city main attractions. Close to Piotrkowska Street Hotel itself. Need to be remodeled. Late 80's in a style and service. Back in a past experience.
Following booking out of hotel and after meeting had long wait to catch flight, were allowed access to hotel facilities. Disappointing to arrive and be told that the restaurant and bar were closed and we had to get a light meal in town
Location is good, rooms look relatively good compared with the building. Friendly people. Building looks very outdated.
very good service and close to the city center
Clen, nice, friendly staff, good breakfast
poor cleanliness of the bathroom - terible urine odor
The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean.
too short period to have a total view. a bit like 4 star qubus in the city (of course, this does not include breakfast). I did not try the restaurant menu. Not enough internet cables available forced me to go down to teh hall and use wireless. Quite expencive parking for this Hair dryer. New and probably this is why air comming from them had an awful smell (and did my hair afterwards).
Poor English skills of the reception staff.
everything is ok here. but the breakfast is just a bad as you one could get used to in poland. really really bad breakfast. getting a cup of coffee was a daunting task. only one point to fill your cup and i had to wait ages.small amounts of food available, and when its gone its gone.
The location was in a vry poor area.
We found the hotel to be very modern and comfortable. The standard of room was excellent. Presentation of food for breakfast was really impressive. Very fresh towels. This is not a complaint but it would be useful if a handout was made available on tram and bus services to centre of Lodz.
The approach of the hotel staff was excelent to all questions/inquiries. Comfortable, and nicely furnished hotel. Simple but practical design. The surrounding of hotel is not nice.
The level of the hotel that is expected from the hotels of Ibis chain - very simple but very comfortable rooms, enough space, friendly staff, normal breakfast - everything was in place. No special "dislikes".
i like it and still will select it for next time! because i am a chinese,so the food is not suitable for me.
All basics are present and functioning Breakfast is rather expensive for the quality you get
There were no free of charge parking place.
Location was really good and also friendly staff
Staff are friendly
I like that the staff speaks English very good and they were very serviceminded. And I like the location of the hotel. Near the shops.
Center of the town, quite near train station (10 min of walk); shopping and cinema just outside the hotel; quiet room
Good balance of price and quality. Simple but comfortable. Food in breakfast is poorly prepared. The tomates and cuumbers were probably sliced the previous day.
Internet was very slow.
smole in entrance hall + unkind people
The staff was really kind and helpful in the reception. I enjoyed the abundant breakfast indeed. Smoking is permitted in the hotel rooms (as apparently everywhere in Poland). It is a bad combination with fitted carpet for people with a sensitive nose. The pillow and bed could have been much better.
The hotel is ok in terms of amenities. Friendly staff and possibility t dine late. Monitored parking is an asset. Close to the Manufaktura shopping mall Location is excentric, signs leading to the hotel are missing.
relatively good comfort, good rate price and quality of services, close to downtown and shopping centers. Sometime attitude of personel from restorant.
very clean hotel. excellent staff. breakfast could be better. very good value. close to all amenities. would recommend.
Well run hotel housed in a beautiful old building. Helpful staff. Good traditional breakfast. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds.
We enjoyed the upsale atmosphere that really accomodated to the needs of the 2008 traveler---internet, breakfast, bag lunch and also dinner if needed. The staff was friendly and the rooms were large.
The room: good size and high ceilings. The breakfast was indeed nice and the staff was kind and very helpful.
Nice and very helpful service, new hotel with new facilities but based on an old manufacture - interesting architecture, close to the downtown (10 minutes walk), great breakfast, Internet, big rooms. One of the best 2 stars hotels I have ever been. This is only 2 stars hotel so there is no air conditioning.
Staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, food was excellent and facilities were new and well laid out The linen was not changed each day and only two towels per two persons were supplied as part of the room make up.
The rooms were lovely and clean and breakfast was really good. Staff were very nice and polite. Lack of english channels on TV. Everything was in Polish! They should really invest in satellite. Also, it would be good if the light switches were by the bed so you wouldn't have to get out of it to switch lights off. The gym could do with a bit of updating.
Very modern hotel, good food and very helpful staff
Hot coffee and tea was available in the lobby 24/7 The walls between the rooms seemed VERY thin. We could hear next door walking about
Second time staying here and once again we enjoyed it. The breakfast is very good and the continuous coffee and tea is a good idea. We were accosted at our breakfast table by a beggar who walked past reception to ask for money. Apart from being a security matter this is not acceptable and reception should not have allowed the person in.
the staff and excellent breakfast choice no proper cups and saucers for tea and coffee....however when I requested some, the staff immediately ensured they were in our room
Fantastic breakfast, even provided filled rolls & coffee to go (great when dashing off to catch plane!) Staff all spoke really good english. Was only 5minutes from no. 65 bus stop (direct from airport only 20 minutes) A very good shower too! Only provided with one sachet of coffee & milk per person per day in the room, which contrasted badly with the generosity of the breakfasts. Staff at reception had no access to get more for us, so a choice of tea/coffee before bed or one in the morning while waiting for partner to get ready to go down for breakfast.
if u r traveliing by car, its perfekt as it is very easy to find from the main road to Katowice, the guy in the rception was very nice, realy generius breakfast, but didnt find childrenschairs,or we didnt ask for, we had a standard doublroom, very clean and quit, the beds was a bit narow,
everything was great but the location not the gratest. no.
all smoke in all rooms.
There were no parking spaces available.
no fuss, did what it claimed poor weather........out of the hotels remit
The friendly nature of the staff, the restaurant, and the outside dining.
Room was clean, well appointed and spacious. Bottled water was provided. The Hotel was in an isolated position on edge of town, so few places to eat in the evening. I would therefore tend to recommend its sister Hotel - about 15 mins walk away. Price is similar but there is a restaurant. If no evening meal needed then this Hotel is ok.
We booked standard but were upgraded and had a spacious room with a jaguzzi for two, superb!
Good place to spent night for small money. Not for long stay, far from city.
Breakfast!!! Super nice!
Location was great, staff friendly, and to my benefit spoke English. I didn't get things like bottled water or shampoo replaced daily, and one day my room wasn't cleaned at all.
For the amount of years this hotel has been open...188yrs..i enjoyed staying at this hotel with alot of history. Wifi is free and good speed for doing some work away from the office Floors squeak....but hey its an very old hotel...but i enjoyed it..breakfeast was nice but eggs could use some more cooking
Hotel was in an excellent location. Rooms were dated but comfortable. No lights in corridor to room.
The oldie world atmosphere in the hotel & its locationto the city.
Great room area The hotel is extremely old. Need some renovations.. Specialy in the rooms
Really big name but poor experience here.very old fashioned hotel.
reception was very helpful and friendly there were face towels/ wash cloths in the bathroom and shower gel was not replaced daily.
Owner very helpful. Very good value for money It is a bit out in the sticks but near trams so you can get in very easily
we found it close to the airport. Not far from the town (lodz) The hotel was very good and had all we needed for our short stay.On site parking.Very good all round It was very good and will be going again
owener frienley good english a bit too quiet more a guesthouse
The guy who runs the place was really friendly and helpful. Don't be put off by the rather dodgy-looking hallway; the rooms have all been renovated to a good standard, especially the bathrooms. The hotel is on a very quiet street, but near tram and bus lines straight into town. I think the information about the car park was a bit misleading, but anyway there is parking space out front and the street is in a very quiet residential area. A street name and more obvious hotel sign would be helpful - it was a bit hard to find.
close to the Tram stop, owner friendly and helpful, clean room. It's impossible to go out during the night... if you speak polish you can call a taxi... otherwise the centre is too far.
Very friendly and helpful owner and though I can speak Polish, he did speak a good amount of English. The guest house is close to both the airport and the town centre. You can come and go as you please with no time limits as keys are issued. It was clean and it is obvious that improvements are being made continuously as 4 new apartments are currently being modernised to the rear of the property. We would definitely stay there again and are planning to go again next year. Although there is a communal kitchen, a kettle in the room would be an advantage. Someone took some of our food that we had left in the kitchen (as everyone does) which, annoyed me a little.
I enjoyed the comfort of the room, the peaceful surroundings and the friendliness of the hotel staff. I did not like the fact that there was nowhere in the vicinity of the hotel where I could buy even a cup of coffee!
For 1 night it is ok but no more. Very small budget hotel. In "hotel" room there was scent of cigarettes (I dont smoke). Fell like I stay in garagge. Thin walls all noises what made neighbours we hear.
Really quite place, not far from city center. Safe parking extra 10 ZL. The floor coukd be cleaner.
Excellent value for money accommodation with parking directly outside of room, use of kitchen facilities and free wi-fi.
the design, the breakfast, the location the walking distance to my room, it's a huge place
The modern design, rooms were spacious and the bathroom facilities were lovely. Swimming pool was amazing and the staff were very accommodating and friendly.
It is a beautifully designed hotel. The stay in our spacious room was very comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The buffet-style breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Great central location. The internet server was down for couple of hours. Unless you need it for business, this was not a big disturbance.
Everything except the time it takes to check in/out. As above and it took me 2 hours and a lot of stress to locate an iron, I ask you a 5 star hotel and one iron!!!!!!
This hotel cries out class from the moment you arrive. The mixing of 19th century building and 21st century interior is amazing.Every aspect of the hotel is beautifully designed. The rooms are beautiful in contemporary design and function. The breakfast is second to none in quality and variety. The pool is breathtaking. The difficult thing is to have to leave and come home to my own box.
Central situation and very nice design : a perfect stay in Lodz. Impressive hotel
The space was a great mix of old architecture and modern style. The rooms were very comfortable and you could walk to different restaurants within a few minutes... great shopping and not far from the old town. Staff was incredibly friendly. Great bathrooms with deep soaking bathtubs:) The rooms were very nice and clean. That said, there was much space wasted for common areas that may have been incorporated into the personal space.
Location is excellent close to all areas for shopping and eating out. The building is fantastic and well finished rooms were nicely decorated and comforatable.
Great location, convenient parking, plenty of restaurants within walkimg distsnce Mediocre service - in particular the front desk
swimming pool on the roof with fabulous view on the city (exceptionnal at night). long corridor
The location of the hotel was the best feature as it was close to the shops, bars and restaurants. I would have to be very finiky to have not liked anything about this hotel.
Perfect as a place for accomodation during the trip by car. Good service. Clean room and great breacfast before long trip.
The hotel is located a few kilometers out of the city center, but it has quiet and neat surrounding. Free parking lot is well protected with a metal fence. The elevator is small but new. We missed a hair dryer in the bathroom, but there was even a writing desk at the window. Breakfast was rich enough. The second day the room was not cleaned and the towels not replaced. We could not complain because in the evening there was only a receptionist on duty. Management should notice guests one day before or at least in the morning with apology and/or some small gift in return.
Very convenient location near Łódź, good communication (for car owners) with city center. Nice & quiet location (10 rooms only) surrounded by trees with supportive and friendly staff (breakfast 11a? – no problem :) Rooms design slightly 2barroque 4M but interesting anyway
The aesthetics, the surroundings, the beauty of the place, the friendliness of the staff Not applicable
Wonderful hotel with nice location. Very good for family or romance voyages. All very nice!
Good location No air conditioning breakfast no better then ok receptionists could speak little english lift outdated
Large rooms, helpful staff, no fuss check in and central location!
helpful staff no hot food at breakfast
hotel staff music at breakfast
The large rooms, the breakfasts and the lift attendant! The latter is a perk we don't often encounter. The central location is also very good - plenty of nearby good restaurants. We did get better value for money during the trip, but the Savoy is a great mid-range option with lots of character. Splendid facelift given to the exterior, by the way!
The Hotel Receptionists were excellent and very helpful as we did not speak Polish. They all speak excellent English! All the staff were very pleasant and eager to assist. Not applicable.
Ideal location (practically, it's the center of city). Good furniture, excellent breakfast, the friendly personnel. In a bathroom there was no towel for feet. The toilet soap is very small.
location only 1. I prefer to be in a lift by myself....although the men who was helping in the lift was very plesant,i still prefer no one there ! 2. The breakfast menu
I really liked the location - literally one minute's walk from Piotrkowska, which is the main street in Lodz. The staff were very friendly and always courteous. They helped me out with things like trams in the city, directions about how to get to places X or Y, and also bus/train timetables for other destinations in Poland. I found that the hotel had a really familial atmosphere and I felt very comfortable there. Breakfast was also great - loads of food! The hotel is probably not as luxurious as someone might expect. The decor is a little dated but if you don't care about this, then this is the place for you!
it was close to the centre
