Tony was great, very helpful and accommodating. cooked breakfast in the the morning was fantastic and we were very happy with the room which was cosy and clean. It also had off street parking which was ideal.
I have no criticism as it was as expected
service was super, friendly and ready to help
this place could use some serious fixing up. Just ripping the carpet out of the bathroom and putting something washable on the floor would make a huge difference. Anyway...who puts carpet in a bathroom?
offered plenty of options of breakfast staff very friendly.
Very good location, wonderful staff, great breakfasts, lovely big room, access to fridge- all fantastic! Very safe. Would certainly stay here again.
Windows in room didn’t close properly, some cobwebs behind bathroom door
The Lodge has a very homely and friendly feel to it, being a large converted Victorian house it feels much more like staying in a home compared to all the bland and soulless Travelodge/ Premmier Inns, the owners were very welcoming and helpful, breakfast in the conservatory dining room was tasty , it was also very quiet in the Lodge which is a refreshing change from large hotels, no slamming doors at 3am, the rooms although not large are perfectly fine, clean and tidy with spotless onsuite bathrooms and the beds are comfortable, what more do you need.
Very small issues, only 1 double socket in the room located at floor level under the dressing table, can be difficult getting down to reach the sockets to charge your phone if your not very agile and the water pressure on the shower was very low.
