Pros: Marie is a fantastically friendly hostess with a great sense of humour and a fine selection of cats, which endeared me to her from the off. The location is calm and beautiful, ditto the house itself. The shower was nicely hot and powerful, and the bathroom and bedroom very roomy.
Cons: I'd just move the house a tad nearer the restaurant so I could have ditched the car and walked to dinner. However, this is a very small (and half joking!) point.

Pros: Everything was perfect for us. Beautiful riverside location in sleepy French village. Friendly hosts, great buffet breakfast with a good selection. Short drive to Monet's house and beautiful gardens at Giverny which really was the icing on the cake!

But it didn't end there - Sophie took us on a tour of the caverns under the house what an unexpected delight, three separate levels all with an amazing amount of history . We have travelled extensively in our life time - but I must say that our stay will be remembered forever Thank you David and Sophie

9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was a very cute place in beautiful surroundings. The owners were lovely. And the breakfast was very nice indeed. It was so clean, they obviously take great pride in their work. We had a family room which had a separate bedroom for my daughter which was great. And some games that we enjoyed too. If we are ever down that way again we will definitely stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful and friendly hosts, super quiet location, amazing breakfast, great local restaurant, a worthy stop over - would definatley stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hosts who made us very welcome, it felt like staying with friends. Attractive surroundings & garden, comfortable and very spacious room. Fantastic breakfasts, with a daily home-made speciality by Michelle. Loved the crepes! Nearby restaurant Le Cheval Blanc is also a great find with superb food at reasonable prices & a warm welcome.
Cons: Our room was very clean on arrival. However, we were expecting a daily tidy & clean of the room: e.g. make the bed, quick clean of bathroom basin & shower & clear away used tea cups & glasses. We are clean & tidy people, and kept our room in a tidy state. However, we were disappointed not have a basic daily clean, and would expect this for the 90 euros daily rate. Sorry to say this, but it was a downside in an otherwise great service.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were absolutely delightful and entirely flexible! We were coming later than the ideal arrival time but they were happy to accommodate that, and were available to welcome us. A beautiful old building with gorgeous central garden and separate entrance to our lovely, larger than expected room with an attractive, modern bathroom, excellent shower and separate loo. The bed was firm and really comfortable, with fresh, crisp cotton sheets, and the tea-making facilities very welcome! I will now seem to over-use the word 'fresh', but it sums up such a re-freshing overnight stay! The breakfast in the main house, waited on by the hosts with home made jams, wonderful freshly home-cooked French toast (made with brioche!) beautiful freshly picked fruits, fluffy croissants, all completely wonderful! We were obviously appreciative and they then gave us a complimentary pot of their home made jam!
Cons: The road outside was being resurfaced, so it was a tad difficult to find our way around les travaux! A temporary blip of course!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place to relax, property (we can call it castle) is really nice renovated...
Cons: Missed some cheese for breakfast, but all in all still very good
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the architecture, the gardens, the owners were great & accessible & Gaston the Labrador was a delight. We had access to a fully equipped kitchen. We took canapés, cheese & wine & enjoyed them on the lawns where we could sit out & plan our days. Only had hour to Monets Garden & we were able to buy tickets from the owners. Wonderful nights sleep & plenty of onsite parking. Breakfast was full of local produce & Aude kindly went to the bakery so everything was fresh. We would definitely stay again.

Our host (Phillipe) was absolutely charming and had a wonderful stay. View from the room overlooking the garden and paddock was great on awakening in the morning. Breakfast was good. Parked right outside the Chateau doors, felt like our own home, if only.

Pros: Nice old little castle in a beautiful garden. Good breakfast. Pleasant pool. We had a family room, even though we were only two. . Here we got a large bathroom with a lovely jacuzzi. Area outside the castle and garden is not so charming, with a large mall nearby. But this is the ideal place to stay for sure, for example, to visit Monet's Garden and Rouen.

Pros: Room was stylish, owner very helpful, breakfast great with homemade cake and jam- delicious
Cons: Nothing -but you have to realise it’s not close to restaurants/ cafe. We knew this and brought a bottle of wine and some food for the evening as we were on bikes and didn’t want to travel any further. By car- no problem travelling to local town

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, as well as being so quiet. We enjoyed our room and all the facilities available, with a large, powerful shower, very comfortable bed and coffee machine providing the morning cuppa. A Continental breakfast was brought to us each morning of our stay, in a basket. The host and hostess welcomed us with a glass of wine in a very cheerful and helpful manner - showing us around our room and always being there to assist us with any enquiries. The bonus of its location in that local towns/cities like Evreux and Giverny (with Monet's Garden etc) are easy to drive to and from and then Paris is close enough to get to by taking a restful train journey. Weather was so good it was a bonus and allowed us an opportunity to enjoy some time to ourselves in the location's outdoor pool.
Cons: Not so much a dislike but advice to other future visitors: take some DVDs with you, to use in the room's TV during the evenings in because programmes are limited to French only. Second piece of advice is to learn some 'local' french, in order to speak with the wonderful host and hostess. Finally, it's fair to say that WiFi is intermittent, because of the surroundings, i.e. in a valley area.

Pros: Friendly service and the owners couldn't do enough for you . We had the choice of any room as no one else was staying that night. Felt that the man owner was a bit lonely and he wanted to talk and play his guitar for us. Nice stroll in the village, For the first time ever we were asked what we would like for breakfast and we actually had boiled eggs as well as the usual bread and pastries. She really wanted to please.

7.0 Good
Cons: Staff unable to print off a bill for us.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Thank you for providing good French menu with plenty of choice and helpful staff. The entire experience was a positive one and I look forward to finding a reason to return!
Cons: A small point but the hot food at breakfast was poor but typical of so many chain hotels. Scrambled eggs were glutinous and seem to come from a packaged mixture rather than being freshly made in smaller quantities. The streaky bacon was hard and there was a large amount which would obviously be wasted as we were the only people in the restaurant.

Cons: Nothing in particular
