Nice scenery, local wildlife lovely especially horses and birds, quaint old farm full of character. Despite international advertising on English website the hotel staff could not speak any English. Lovely old building but very poorly lit along long corridor which had two sets of steps, one set had to be negotiated before you could even find the light switch. Shower was over a bath but there was no curtain or screen. Bathroom had neither window nor extractor. We saw quite a few hotels round about which advertises accommodation for 30% less than we had paid.
Location and appearance of the hotel outside and the original features of the interior. We arrived on a Sunday and the bar/restaurant was not open until Tuesday. There was no where to get a drink, not even a drinks machine. We booked 3 rooms. 2 were adequate but the 3rd was not even to the standard of a cheap, overnight motorway hotel. The general condition of the hotel was poor and in need of updating and repairs being made. We did complain and were moved to another room that was much better. Hotel right next to a noisy road.
nice building next to busy noisy road, hotel rooms need refurbishment,
Efficent booking & check in pleasant staff. Availability of a restaraunt. None found
the location was good and the size of the room big and comfortable. downside was the long corridor to reach it, dark and a bit dated. need some refurbishing and lighting. the breakfast could be more appealing - only sweet was served. no cheese, or eggs were served. also charged at 8 euro per person this was not good value for money
Lovely building The room and bathroom were very basic and missing minor items which would enhance comfort - for instance shower curtain, full length mirror
The owner was very friendly and the hotel has some history with it nice rooms and breakfast was traditional and pleasantly served The mosquitos that attacked us, we were all bitten so recommend you take a good repellent.
I like very much because theres a real piece of architecture value
Beautiful old building and gardens, friendly hosts and staff, attractive contryside and beautiful coast nearby. We would have benefited from having air conditioning in the room. The nights were very hot, and as we live in Scotland we were not used to the heat. But apart from that the room was lovely.
Beautiful building with a medieval feel, spacious, tastefully done up. Lovely large courtyard garden, covered swimming pool. Large rooms, very comfortable. Friendly staff. A really classy place where you could easily spend a week or two. Right in the centre of the incredible city of Aigues-Mortes.
The whole experience was very very good, i would recommend this to anyone, the reality is far better than what you see in the 'brochure'. Simply astounding. once inside the walls of the town, then Villa. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great =] loads going on in the main plaza, loads to eats and shop. I even found a local supermarket bought beers and bread and other yummies from the deli then headed outside the ramparts to sit and watch the world go buy and the sun set. amazing =] The roads nearby and the bridge got seriously congested, if you just chill you get in soon enough. It is a major attraction for the area so it is expected i suppose.
We loved the garden and adjacent swimming pool, room was nice and quiet; much care has been given to create a romantic classy atmosphere in the building. The price of the breakfast is not included in the roomrate and too high in comparision to that.
One of the bst hotles I have ever been. Very private and comfortable. A place to go again!
what a lovely Hotel, right in the centre of the walled city,a super pool in a wonderful courtyard, very quiet location,a good but sligtly overpriced breakfast for just a continental one,a tight squeze if you have a bigish car for parking in the underfloor but very secure garage,we simple loved the stop.and would have liked to have been able to stay longer in that area.
I thought that staying at the hotel was a fantastic experience, it was a haven & a very relaxing experience, also the staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Hotel setting was also a bonus.
peacefulness, location, friendliness, helpful, gardens were a delight and the pool/spa facilities good but not well advertised. I would stay again so long as I was in a garden room. Our room - 1 - was fine in itself but was overlooking the road - no traffic - but like sleeping under the eiffel tower. Curtains did not fit windows so bright street lights all night. Not a good nights sleep and not frankly worth the £200. A shame as it is not difficult to find curtains to fit. Also no information in the room about the hotel/area/dining etc. All we got was an envelope asking for a tip at the end....hardly condusive to good feeling.
Everything was great !
The overall ambiance and attention to detail, close to a wide range of restaurants. An oasis in an historic town.
Peaceful poolside area. Good value breakfast. We specifically booked this hotel because website showed the location to be within 1 Km of town centre. The reality is a 2.5km distance walk into town!!. Hotel booked a taxi for us one evening and Taxi did not show so had to walk back to hotel along dark roads. The shower facilities in the room were not what would have expected for 3star hotel.
We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful swimming pool especially the sun until late on the pool area. Just one complaint I asked for the hotel room to be locked as the housekeeper was leaving the patio door unlocked after she had cleaned. This happened for the three days we stayed.
The staff, room and dinning were excellent. Very unique decor, and the setting was very nice. Kind of far out of town if you do not have personal transportation; but, this did make for a quiet stay.
The decor, service and location of the hotel were all excellent. The swimming pool was a good size and kept very clean.Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels were provided on a daily basis.
The hotel is well designed around the swimming pool and dining room. Food was good and staff wanted to please.
the rooms are all groundfloor and lie in a circle around a courtyard containing a pond and the pool area; parking places motel-style
The pool area is really nice. The red lights in the hallway are very tacky and make it look cheap
The design concept, location, friendliness of management Wifi did not work in the rooms
Location and style of the rooms. However they are pitched at premium rates which the hotel isn'T. At most 3 star. We had a problem with the quality of the swimming pool water which took them 2 days to fix.
Very central location, next to the town center and beaches. The 2-room apartment was small and not comfortable for a family. There was no closed cupboard, just a few shelves. We could not empty all suitcases, no place to put clothes. Small swimming pool. We could eat on the terrace, but if the weather was bad, the table inside was not suitable and only two chairs available.
Room design and furniture, cleanness, central location and close to the sea and the downtown, easy to park the car Breakfast was really good, however more food variety should be provided to guests; wi-fi connection not fully supported, electronic key not working well
The location close to multiple restaurants, the beach and the staff. They were always looking for our comfort and even took care of tour booking. Accessibility to the second floor is quite difficult. The stairs are very narrow. Make sure you book a room for the first floor.
Nice appartment, very helpful staff.
Bon rapport quality prix. good design. beautiful pool Noisy machine at night
rooms location and pleasant staff
Very comfortable room with excellent views. Easy access to beach. Evening meal menu was limited and poor value compared to restaurants nearby.
Proximity to beach and marina. Spectacular views from sixth floor bar / restaurant. Although the views were delightful, dinner in the restaurant was mediocre, the menu very limited and the bar withour character
I liked particularly the location, just in front of the beach. The breakfast is too expensive regarding to the quality/quantity. The hotel is noisy very early in the morning: cleaners make noise.
nice location (view upon the port) and very good comfort
Very nice staff and the location of the hotel is superb.
The service, the cleanliness and the location Nothing
Great views, easy parking, great value, very pleased
The location which was walking distance from both the beach, harbor, and bus stop. Most of the staff were also friendly and helpful. The water pot was dirty, and we did not realize until we made a tea and drunk some of it... sorta ruined the first impression.
Location. Good size room with view of harbour
The staff was helpful and accommodating, flexible (for example, allowing us to park on the site even though the lot was booked full up), and the internet connection was excellent. They did not clarify when I checked in that the breakfast was included. The website did not clarify that I needed to reserve a parking spot, so when we arrived the lot was booked up. However, the staff allowed us to park so it turned out to be ok.
Location of hotel, cleanliness, the cot provided for our daughter was in very good condition, very comfortable hotel Breakfast seemed rather pricey!
The balcony!! and the view was magnificent. Finding a way in from the road (all the gates were shut from the road which caused much confusion)
The view (7th floor) and having a room service meal on the balcony. Great location, very convenient for the airport.
The location and view over the golf course Breakfast was rather disorganised and cooked foods kept running out. As a none cheese/cold continental meat consumer I feel that 12 euros in addition to the room charge was too much for cereal/bread/pastries - however I would probably stay again if in the area.
Affordable price, parking, good location; good buffet breakfast Poor choices on the restaurant menu; very mediocre food.
Swimming Food of restraunt was not delicous for me.
staff were excellent frm arrival to departure
hotel room recently renovated. green surroundings food was medium quality
room spacious, and well equipped large parking even though expensive (not included in the rate) the pool was always overcrowded
It was a very welcoming hotel and we felt comfortable from the start. Rooms were excellent, patio area very relaxing and a superb breakfast. Charging 10 euros for parking, which they only do in July and August
walking distance to golf course! La Grande Motte is not the most pictoresque location to be! ugly 70s architectural monster complex...
Wev are very pleased. In general very polite and helpsom staff, nice rooms and facilities.
The hotel is near the centre of the city. The clean woman came to our room at 9:30 when it's supposed we had to leave the hotel at 10. She gave us the towels and bed clothes in a rude way and we had to leave the hotel before our hour. The room was in bad conditions.
Nice, clean rooms. Good location for an overnignt stay if you are on the road between Spain and Northern France. No real windows in the room.
The room was clean and comfortable and fairly spacious for a European hotel
No restaurant facilities at the weekend
Staff were pleasant and helpful. We booked a double and a twin and there was a connecting door so we could go between the rooms privately. The bathrooms were clean and modern and there was a kettle with tea/coffee making facilities in each room. Rooms are very small but we were only on an overnight stay so was OK for one night. The rooms and beds were clean but the beds and pillows smelled pretty bad (no idea why) and the matresses were lumpy.
Very good value of money relation. The food in the restaurant was good and wine, excelent.
Convenience of location, cleanliness of room, efficiency of staff. It would have benefited from more cafe facilities for daytime use.
secured, newly renovated. large parking space. centrally located if you are in the lunel area. breakfast is poor. bathroom badly designed. huge tub (triangular shape) taking half most of the space, the toilet squeezed in the corner, you barely have leg room unless you are a midget. Wifi coverage is very poor if you are in the middle section of the hotel., our room was not well lit. it had 2 small windows ...not enough for such a room.
good place to have base for traveling very quite at nightgood for roads and good local reasturants nice staff and safe parking
The accomodation was clean and adequate and the staff were friendly and helpful. The car parking was good Restaurant closed on Sunday
Service, kindness of staff, prices of food
Staff was friendly, even let us check in 4 hrs early, hotel was quiet and clean, breakfast was ok for the money (eur 11,50 pp), hotel offers a private parking area for eur 9 - even tho you don't really need one, there are plenty places to park in the area. Free WiFi and safe. Design is a bit outdated, like everything in La Grande-Motte. The Pool is small. Beaches aren't too far but still quite a walk.
We liked this hotel very much. Free Wireless-LAN, free public parking behind the hotel, free small refrigerator and safe in the room, room with reasonable size and balcony, approx. 10-12 minutes walk from the wide nice beaches of La Grande Motte and the center, very nice and helpful receptionists, We would defintely recommend the Hotel Europe! We liked this hotel very much. Only 1 minor point: When we arrived, we were told that the breakfast is 7,70 eur but then charged 10 eur (seemed to be a misunderstanding). But to be honnest: No really big issue. We would defintely recommend the Hotel Europe!
Clean and cherrful, a lot of light, rooms with verandas are nice The hotel was perfect. La Grande Motte is a relatively recent "mushroom town", all modern.
The hotel was very clean, with good design and the staff were very polite and helpful. The Hotel was approx. 10 minute walk from the beach. Overall an excellent stay.
Very kind and helpful staff, very beautiful and clean setting, nice room. There is no bar for drinks in the evening, no restaurant, no mini-bar.
Private patio. Comfortable beds. Excellent shower facility. Friendly staff. Proximity to town. Lack of space for baggage
Owners were always there and very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is very quiet and clean The rooms were a bit small as well as the pool, but still convenient to have a long weekend stay as we did. I will recommend this hotel overall.
Friendly hotel, good location on edge of town, breakfast good value. No pool towels.
Nice rooms for families, spa/oasis style place away from the fun, but crazy action in the town, yet close enough to easily walk. Lovely pool, clean room, with patio, AC (essential in summer as mossies are on the loose). We wished we had stayed longer.
The room design and the overall design of the hotel. The staff was also very helpful. :)
well situated-short walk to the main town.very peaceful & relaxing.plenyy of parking.lovely breakfast by the pool. warm pre-pool shower, good sized pool we would have liked a fridge in the room to keep own supplies cool .expensive to buy cold drinks at the pool side.but not really a huge problem. no english channels on the TV.
I liked very much the pool area and the nice rooms
lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, very clean rooms, quiet, relaxing, good breakfast... One of the best hotels I've been!
Les Rizieres has a very nice position, just 3 Km from Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, and seems to be built on a Camargueise lagoon Breakfast, at 8 euro per person, is quite expensive, and its quality is not proportional. Mosquitoes are really killing you, but this is Camargue...
It was quiet, away from the road and as it was single storey we didn't have neighbours above/below disturbing us. No shower curtain. The bathroom looked rather in need of refurbishment and the room was lacking natural light.
beautiful hotel in a beautiful environment.
The staff were very welcoming, and the rooms were exactly as needed. no
Location to the town. Nice and quiet. Friendly atmosphere None
A wonderful wildlife setting in the carmargue close to the beach and to the small town of stes maries de la mer.
The car could be parked very close to the room The room was cool (outside was hot!)
The situation outside the town. The quiet, the petit dejeuner. the bed. I would have preferred a shower because I have a painful shoulder which makes it difficult to climb out of the bath.
the camarque area is well known for its wildlife ,and the position of this hotel is rather good the room facility is old and rather small
Friendly service, nice surroundings, beautiful nature around, good breakfast (fresh bread, many varieties), parking near the room. Café au lait from an automatic machine.
a quiet hotel away from the town but near enough to be convenient outside of the buildings looking a bit shabby, no English language TV
rien no frigo-bar , not easy to find the way to go to the hotel
Complex really nice, good rooms, especially having a fridge...great idea. Pool excellent, and great menu. Accessability to Aigues Mortes, especially on foot.
Airco in room, the bath tub, big parking lot Aigues-Mortes is not really within walking distance, you need a car really. Breakfast was ok, but seems more destined for international travellers (the offered patisserie was disappointing!)
a very well organized hotel, clean rooms, nice view, friendly personnel and only a few km from the town of aigues-mortes
Beautiful location, excellent pool, outstanding cuisine, plus a pair of resident kingfishers, A great place to spend a birthday weekend.
Everything! A wonderful place to stay with a great staff! Dinner was pricey, but it was worth it
excellent camargue hotel - great views - great food - very friendly and helpful staff hotel rooms could use some refurbishing - internet access almost non-existent (which is more of a problem of the entire region)
Attentive staff. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Desire to please Overly expensive
The staff were extremly friendly and helpful
In some ways its initial external appearance is deceptive and gives little clue to the standard and quality of what is on offer. The rooms are very comfortable, well appointed, and very well maintained, and the view over the lake is special, as is the whole of the pool area. The food is excellent and the service efficient and friendly. There were few guests in early November so we delighted in the peace of the hotel. In no way did service or standards diminish. We extended our 3 day stay to 7 days. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday. NA
Excellent restaurant as well
Lovely room, good staff, did it have a private beach?
The pool area was beautiful, facing on to the lagoon. The beds were very comfy and the staff friendly and trained. We felt it did not justify the Relais Chateux Rating it displayed due to the food and wine being good but not worthy of the price. The currency rate cannot be blamed for it all! It would have been nice to have the small touches usually found in a luxury hotel, such as a thermos of iced water etc.
An excellent relaxed small family hotel with first class restaurant.
We can not get dinner in the hotel. Even more, we can not get a glass of beer at 21.30 - they have closed entertainment at swimming pool. You can stay at your hotel room (small house), but aircondition does not work. Next day they gave as a breakfast for free but this is not what we need travelling around Provence and coming far from Slovenia
Ideally situated for access to the nature, excellent food and very comfortable accommodation in the Cabane de Gardian.
big size of TV Thi is definitely not a 4 stars hotel! Poor cleaning service, some of the rooms are not cleaned before 3 pm. The lagune behind the room smelled incredibly. Towels to the swimming pool are lent only on a deposit of 40 €! So guests use their own and let it on a chair as a reservation all the day. So when you come to the swimming pool, all chairs are "occupied" even there is nearly no one.
The location and the landscape were excellent. The setting and layout of the resort was also good but did not necessarily separate the business clients from holidayers. Breakfast was poor, there was one staff trying to do everything. During our stay there was also a business meeting which created a lot of discomfort. The business meeting was inevitably noisy with having their small group discussions by the pool while we were trying to relax. The group members had no respect for people having holidays talking loudly at 3.00am after their team building (?) events.
Good food if limited choice and interesting rooms no
swimming pool, horse riding restaurant and breakfast very expensive
Lovely place - very expensive considering it was 'off-season' and some of the amenities weren't open.
Lovely location, in the middle of little lakes with birds and all kinds of animals. Absolutely quiet. The restaurant is excellent.
Very relaxing ambience, comfortable, staff very friendly, food excellent. Have stayed before and will again. One very young waitress was not au fait with the dinner menu or winelist, but it was not a major problem. The maitre d' took over and was very helpful.
the room was large with a private terrace, the pool area was lovely and the hotel is situated in lovely gardens - the hotel closes at 11.00pm so you have to make arrangements to get back in if you wish to stay out later - the hotel is a good 20 mins walk into the little town so if you want to eat out of the hotel it is not very convenient the shower was hand held - the AC did not work very well - the breakfast is not good value for money
excellent restaurant lots of flies around. wardrobe and safes were broken. much noise from the swimming pool till late. old facilities in bathroom
Nice room. Nice restaurant with good service and food. Too much mosquitoes outdoor in the evening.
Large confortable room. Exellent ambiance.
Nice (warm!) swimming pool, nice room with lovely terrace Breakfast too expensive (but you can go to the city center, where you can find much cheaper breakfasts), city center at 15 minutes walk (unfortunately via a busy road, but for the rest this was very doable)
A great location for horse and nature lovers. Romantic setting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots of flies in the area. Bring repellant and keep screen door closed and you'll be fine.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for our needs, though the bed was not the most comfortable. Very good food in the restaurant. The breakfast was very expensive at 15 euros per person. There was some confusion over whether we had requested it and we were made to feel at fault when we did not want it.
Staff kindness Room too expensive
