Wonderful location, spacious and airy, Temperature of 38 degrees, air conditioning had broken down! More signs needed in pool area!
Nicely designed, with pool and gymnasium etc (which we did not use). Evening meal set menu was good value if unimaginative. Setting was beautiful, and slightly remote, which is what we like and look for. Stay was perfect, but better signage to hotel would be appreciated by most people, I suspect.
We enjoyed the magnificent view fom our bedroom window, spacious room, and warm, good size swimming pool. The hotel provided a good value buffet dinner with reasonably priced drinks. A very enjoyable stay.
Nice atmosphere, clean rooms and surroundings (swimmingpool), nice owners, excellent food, great dogs! A welcome drink would be nice after a long drive; we heared the last night at dinner that walking paths are available! Would be nice when we were informed earlier during our stay.
Unique location. Very friendly. Delicious food for normal price. It feels like comming home!! None
Beautiful settings for a beautiful hotel. Situated high in the mountains in a remote village and can be hard to find at night. Hotel decor and grounds are very nicely designed. Swiming pool is large and there are many lounge chairs in the shade and there is an outside hot tub as well. Food in the restaurant was very tasty and gourmet. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff - speaks English. we loved everything
Cosy hotel, very nice for romantic weekend's, view is excellent, staff is nice. Not to many attencion for details in cleanliness and guest service. Very small choice in the buffet breakfast, and the heating was not very strong.
cosiness, comfort, good atmosphere
The appearance was very warm and welcoming. The staff was more then friendly and did their very best to find room for a little longer stay. We liked the lot.
The landscaping was beautiful with flowers everywhere. The view from our room looked out on the Serra Estrela with the wooded valley below. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal bread and jam but a a bit late so no coffee until 8:30 am. Except for the late breakfast there were no bad points as far as we are concerned.
Very friendly staff and hotel owners. Multilingual. Very romantic room. Excellent retaurant and very nice breakfast.
Nicely decorated room with a fantastic view and friendly staff Fairly expensive. Bathroom was not up to the rooms standard and toilet smelled quite a lot... it should also have individual shampoo and shower gel bottles
Hotel is lovely, the location is good for exploring, the views are stunning, food was good. The breakfast was too basic, more variety please. The hotel closed early, so nt for those who like a late night, no bar! Also being very rural it would have been good to have satellite tv- news/ sport in english, there was only portugese tv available, which in this day and age isn't enough.
The view and location was spectacular! Our suites were comfortable and elegant. I should have booked for two nights and taken a day off from sightseeing to just relax at this wonderful oasis. Our GPS took us on a very, very interesting route to get to the hotel!
Hospitality of staff, hotel conditions, the swimming pool Expensive restaurant, no activities for children
Very quite location. Friendly service. Recommended!
style&feel of the place is good, spacious, good dining.friendly staff room style ingongruous - felt more like mountain chalet than a convent cell;)
I like everything in this hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was big and very clean, the breakfast was also good. The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom heating, there isn't one, although the room as one.
Our stay was extremely pleasant and had no problems at all.
Staff very friendly
Room was big, with balcony. Free Wireless Internet in Reception area. Parking very big. Hard to find with GPS. Position between 2 traffic roads. No English menu in Restaurants. Position is far from lake.
Excedllent food and hospitality Not much to do in the area
Somewhat old-fashioned but the friendliness of the staff (with the proprietors also owning the next door bar/mini-market) made it well worthwhile. Very flexible staff in their attitude and very welcoming. Will shortly need a bit of an uplift into the 21st century to suit go-getter travellers but for us relaxed types - people is what makes it!!!
Very close to the Thermal/Spa of Caldas da Felgueira. Good continental breakfast. No electric kettle in the kitchen., Aluminium pans for cooking..
Cleanliness, quietness, good taste in the decoration, extreme kindness of staff.
Exellent place to stay everbody is so pleasent and helpfull No
A beautiful 'Casa' with lovely swimming pool, perfect to have a very pleasant and relaxt stay. Very proper, good beds and bathrooms and a superb breakfast. Owners of the casa are both very friendly as flexible. Every day a little clean of the room and I think during our stay of 1 week, our beds are cleaned totally. Owners of the house can't speak English. Therefor, their son in law was present during our stay. He spoke English very well. But it could be difficult when he isn't there. The beds are a little bit short. Owners are present during the stay. However, you have enough privacy.
The owners and their son-in-law were perfect hosts. The owners speak no English, but that was not a problem at all as the son-in-law did. The whole hotel/house is fantastic, very comfortable and roomy. The breakfast was fantastic, a real signature dish for the lady owner. Thank you for a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
We were the first visiters from England and the owners made every attempt to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly reccommended.
