We were greeted warmly and offered refreshments. The breakfast was delicious with a large selection of cereals, baked goods and fresh fruit followed by a set menu which included a full English with eggs done to your liking. Overall it was a pleasure from start to finish and we'll be back next time we're visiting York.
Cons: Nothing not to like

Pros: Clean and modern with great friendly owners Kevin and Faye couldn’t do enough for you . Beautiful breakfast made to order in morning. Very impressed lovely overnight stay. Highly recommend.
Cons: Very modern!bright and airy rooms , very high standards of cleanliness. Beautiful breakfast and amazing shower I wanted to take home with me .
Pros: The Barn is a lovely B&B. The room was small, but nicely done up. The bathroom is fantastic. The breakfast is very good. The biggest feature is the friendliness and hospitality of the owners, you feel very welcome. I definitifely would like to return one day!
Cons: The only thing I could think of: the bed was tad too short for me and my feet (1.85 m, 6.1ft).
Pros: Well equipped to a very high standard with excellent attention to detail. Everything one could possibly need for a trip away from home. Very warm welcome from hosts with tea/coffee and homemade biscuits on arrival. Breakfast was freshly cooked using local ingredients and was superb.
Pros: Everything, it’s a lovely building, in a lovely village, owned by lovely people.. gorgeous breakfast.!
Cons: There was nothing about to place, people or breakfast to dislike.!
Located in Tadcaster, Station Farm Guest House is within a 15-minute drive of Towton Battlefield and Lotherton Hall.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable room and breakfast was delicious.
Pros: Breakfast was very good, the bed was incredibly comfortable with very nice linen. Jackie was very nice and welcoming, and always quick to reply to emails with questions in advance.
Cons: A little bit strict on the breakfast and check-out times... especially for the morning after a wedding!
Pros: Breakfast was lovely
Pros: Very pretty B&B and lovely hostess
Pros: The house is in a beautiful, quiet little village. On arrival Jackie was very welcoming. The room was lovely with all the amenities you need and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was nice, freshly cooked and served by the host. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Station Farm and would recommend it. Thank you Jackie.
Cons: I didn’t dislike anything about the property but for the ‘bigger’ gentleman the bathroom was slightly small but that is to be expected in this type of guest house. It’s not the end of the world though.
Pros: Everything, so welcoming and felt so comfortable. Jackie was so lovely, I highly recommend to anyone! Thank you again for a lovely stay
With a stay at The Old Presbytery Guest House in Tadcaster, you'll be 3.4 mi (5.4 km) from Lotherton Hall and 10.5 mi (16.9 km) from Temple Newsam House. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I was greeted on arrival with the offer of a cup or tea or coffee which included a lovely slab of home made cake! The property is very easy to find and conveniently located just 30 mins from York. It benefits from secure coded gates and ample parking. The owners were very charming and as the property is B&B, I was directed to the local pub just a few minutes walk should I require dinner. There was a multiple choice of breakfast should you wish including a vegetarian option. Great value for money and I will certainly stay again should I need to be in the area.
Cons: Nothing to dislike here - just remember it is B&B so you need to pop down the road to the pub for dinner if required.
Pros: A very pleasant, traditional guest house. Lovely gardens and a fire going on arrival.
Cons: Perhaps a little modernisation.......
Pros: Lovely house and gardens with a story to tell
Cons: Nothing it was all good
Pros: Location and ambience. Friendly staff.
Pros: The staff were perfect
Pros: Clean and friendly owners
Cons: All ok
Pros: Friendly owners, very nice people

Pros: The bed, the building was lovely
Cons: The room.was dusty
Pros: The blackout window dressings. The shower is very good. Bed very comfortable. Good mirrors and hairdryer
Cons: Rooms a bit dark even with lights on. Could do with decorating and certainly they need to pay attention to detail when cleaning the rooms, dusty and dirty corners in room and bathroom, lamps by the bed dusty too. Visited other rooms as we were at a wedding and noticed it was the same. Also there was a pillow case with make up on it which had clearly not been changed.
Pros: Room, pleasant atmosphere, good dinner
Cons: The lady who served dinner was a little intrusive and was clearly listening to our conversation as she interjected a few times
Pros: Need refresh, carpet, wallpaper dated. Room is clean and big. The bathroom was perfect. Food tested was bar food and was average but the price was fair. Isolated hotel in an old manor. Beautiful surroundings and architecture.
Cons: Breakfast was generous but the buffet was not greatly presented due to a lack of space and display a bit rough.
Pros: Food and standard of accommodation was excellent? All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Pros: Peaceful and relaxing location and hotel. Very comfy bed and nice facilities.
Cons: For the star rating I would’ve expected the spa area to be a bit cleaner - i went for a swim in the evening and it was a bit messy. Also the rooms aren’t entirely sound proof but it’s an old building so you’d expect that a bit.

Pros: The beds were super comfy and the place was spotless clean
Cons: Caravan very dated, very untidy outside, lots of old chairs, rubbish etc lying around. Right next to beer garden/children's play area so could get rather noisy if busy, no food served on a saturday after 2pm no hot water in caravan in morning and nobody around to ask for help
Pros: Everything it was really good

Pros: Everything was absolutely fabulous. The hotel is beautiful the old stone fireplaces and wooden panelling are stunning. The room was gorgeous and the bed incredibly comfy. We had a suite and although the views weren't great ... we were very very happy.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: Building & grounds
Cons: The rooms was small & needed a Refurb especially the bathroom
Pros: The grounds and the friendly and professional staff.
Cons: Mattress was a little tired.
Pros: Nice and quiet location. Great setting. Well equipped room (Old Tom)
Cons: Value for money is a bit out of balance. Room was rather small.
Pros: The castle was lovely and the staff extremely helpful. The room was better than expected and the restaurant and bar excellent. The location was perfect and we enjoyed an excellent dinner in the evening.
Pros: is in a lovely location , very quiet and peacefull
Cons: everything was fine ,
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Excellent salmon and scrambled eggs, good choice of fresh fruit and nice pastries.
Cons: Our room and bathroom were a little tired and needed a bit of work to make them up to current standards. Paintwork needed a clean for example. Otherwise nice sized room.
Pros: Ambiance of the Castle and it's surroundings are superb. Staff polite and helpful. Good restaurant. Well priced
Cons: Rooms could do with updating/refurbishment, creaky floors, noisy stairs and fire doors, can hear your neighbours using the bathroom...
Pros: Loved the feel of the hotel ... not dated but had character!
Pros: A lovely property in very well maintained grounds. Value for money, if you look online. Very good breakfast.
Cons: Price of evening meal. Maintenance of bathrooms.
Located in Wetherby, The Swan and Talbot is within a 15-minute drive of Wetherby Racecourse and Harewood House. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good parking, convenint to the A1(M). Big bed!
Cons: The stairs to the room as my wife is slightly disabled!
Pros: Friendly welcome, had great music and a fine breakfast.
Pros: Comfy bed and nice big full English breakfast
Cons: When we arrived there were no toiletries i.e. no soap or shower gel in the room however some shampoo and shower gel was provided after we raised this with staff...still no soap though. The shower unit / hose joint leaked so only half of the water came out of the shower head which we raised while leaving and we were told that they were aware of this and were waiting for a plumber. The extractor fan in the en-suite ceiling hasn’t seen a vacuum for a very long time as it is covered in a thick layer to dust. Breakfast sausages could be a bit meatier I.e. contain more pork, as they seemed a bit lightweight but that’s just us being picky!
Pros: On arrival there was ample parking. Staff were helpful and friendly despite being very busy. The main bar/restaurant was warm and cosy. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds. There was a good choice at breakfast. Conveniently located within the town; rooms were quiet even though they were facing on to the main road.
Pros: Much better room than last visit. Room 3 good
Pros: Lovely little pub and the staff were excellent
Pros: Tasty pub grub great value offers. Good white wine, lovely local beer. Breakfast fine. Good lively atmosphere. Bed comfy.Staff efficient and friendly, specially Tash.
Cons: Room 2. Tiny, poky, dark and chilly. Room too small to be a double, with room for only 4ft bed. As only for one night its doable, just. Speakers everywhere in bar pumping out football, no escape.

Cons: A European non breakfast! No muesli, no cousants,no juice, no milk, no cutlery, no coffee in the machine, no brown bread and this was 3/4 hrs before breakfast closed at 10.00. Unpleasant reaction to complaint. Blamed on single hard of hearing staff member ‐-‐ gross exploitation. Your inability to staff not our problem. £179 for a grubby room grubby linen non staff in all a grubby experience. Currently reviewing accomadation and removed this company from permitted list.
Cons: Dirty room, smelly bathroom
Pros: Comfortable bar area
Cons: It rained !
Cons: Breakfast by the entrance, bit cold. No eggs, sausages.
Pros: Very quick check in. Clean room and brilliant shower.
Pros: Good location, pleasant spacious (double) room, clean modern bathroom.
Cons: Ran out of milk and bread at breakfast. Cheerful staff but a little under pressure.
Pros: Looked like a good hotel staff were friendly
Cons: The mattress looked and felt like I’d had seen better days and I woke up to about 30 bites on my body
Cons: Bit costly for a night.

Pros: Very comfortable, easy access from A1
Cons: Extremely busy and noisey on the day I booked. Large family wedding, so didn't complain, just poor timing
Pros: The hotel is very smart and the food and drink was very nice. Fantastic location.
Cons: The gym is pretty bad, only 4 pieces of equipment, no cleaning facilities (i.e. blue roll to wipe down machines). Wished it wasnt advertised as a gym, felt a bit let down.
Pros: Great place to stay though a little "out of the way" in terms of locations. Facilities staff and food great
Pros: It was in a good location for an overnight stop The breakfast buffet was very good, hot plates, hotfood
Cons: The lack of a welcome at reception on arrival The bedside lamps did not work We had an upgraded Club Room( very small) Upgrade was missing complimentary chocolates, which we had to phone reception about No Information on arrival about restaurants or bar meals or timings We had to ask about breakfast cost No spa information offered Breakfast restaurant manager was not particularly welcoming She told us where we couldn’t sit! All staff require customer service training and smile techniques!
Pros: Staff were helpful
Cons: There was a long delay for croissants at breakfast and not nearly enough on offer also the coffee wasn’t good. When I asked for a cappuccino I was told that the machine had been switched off and that I could wait until the bar staff arrived at 10am, but that was after the breakfast time slot! The waitress was apologetic but really would have expected to be offered a choice of coffees at a 4 star establishment.
Pros: Very reasonable cost.
Pros: Lovely night receptionist very welcoming Nice and quiet place with good location
Pros: Becky the receptionist was excellent and really assisted us when we had a slight concern .food was excellent. A lovely stay indeed .
Cons: Urinals were full in 3 of the 5 urinals ,but chloe had it sorted in no time.

Pros: Jean was lovely and very welcoming and great location
Pros: All the rooms were really clean in my opinion.
Cons: - Refused to tell me price of food before hand - Took ages to answer the door - Food gave me the runs! - Disgusting food was overpriced - Gave me WRONG change at first - Asked me where I was “originally” from just because I am a person of colour. (Was born and raised in the UK) - Gave me incorrect passcode of WIFI and refused to do anything about it - Didnt say bye to me when I left
Pros: The location and landlady was lovely
Cons: The sofa bed was too hard and the cooked breakfast was too oily and a little burnt.
Pros: Mattress tilted down on side and springs creaked from age, bedding has blood spot on it that hadn’t washed out, tea, milk, coffee in room tasted ancient and looked like it had been picked up from cafes, the kettle in the room smelled faintly of burning, the smoke detector in room was taken down, the room smelled of dog, there was one bath towel and one hand towel between two, one towel smelled of damp, we got charged for two breakfasts we said we didn’t want, I thought it was funny when the owner said “oh I made you a continental breakfast but you didn’t come down...I’ll put your cereal back”. I said we told her we didn’t want it and I thought I bet she tries to charge me for that, which is exactly what she did. An extra £32 came out of my bank for four breakfasts, none of which my daughter and I had or asked for. I am still waiting for the refund to land. Wouldn’t ever stay there again if I wasn’t forced to.
Cons: See above
Pros: Plenty of parking owner friendly helpful, Clean and tidy Location ideal for me several take away near Pubs and restaurants
Cons: room dated but clean television small and old
Pros: Discounting the breakfast, which was extra, I would have said it was reasonable value for money if it weren't for the meagre pillow.
Cons: The stale, chewy cornflakes; nasty-tasting milk (may have been UHT as I don't think it was off); random 'plastic' cheese placed on the fried breakfast without asking - we were asked whether we wanted all the (more usual) ingredients of a fried breakfast; the splattered cream in the fruit juice (an accident but when realised, it was whisked away and a replacement drink was not offered, not even water). Being charged £25 cash (no advance notice that cards weren't an option) for three £8 breakfasts. £1 a small point but, given that, as well as the above, I'd had to hunt out my own bath towel (no answer to knocks on the closed downstairs doors and, being British, I was reluctant to ring the phone number) and the pillow was indescribably thin, I mention it.
Pros: Very Good, nice people I was even given a packed lunch

Pros: Location was perfect for a stroll into town.
Cons: Room was dirty. Mould in the shower, water stains on carpet under the radiator, handle on window missing, edging strip on bedside table missing, top of drawer cupboard missing, curtains had stains on the lining, chair had stain on the seat, doors dirty. No plug sockets by bed either side. No tissues in box. No shampoo or shower gel in bathroom. We spent as much time as possible out of the room! Drinks at the bar were ridiculously expensive - on a par with a 5* hotel. We paid £15 for a wine and vodka and ginger.
Cons: Shower in one of the rooms was dirty (hair still in there) and flies in the room. The other room the shower leaked through the wall. Breakfast was sparse and not replenished once items had gone (e.g. croissants)
Pros: Very convenient. nice little town many restaurants . Staff pleasant, breakfast good as was evening meal. Slept like a baby
Cons: Coffee very expensive for a very small cup. guests seemed few but morning time many appeared
Pros: The staff where first class
Pros: Well situated for our visit to wetherby
Cons: The room particularly the bathroom was tired. A bit sloppy with the little extras. No sugar for the tea.only one small complimentary shower gel to last 2 people 2 nights. Drinks and food expensive. I
Cons: 2 stays in 2 weeks and no housekeeping done, had to get our own coffee, tea and milk and make up our own bed. I put all this in my last revue, with no response is there any point doing the revues at all.We live abroad and are ex pats of Wetherby and visit at least twice a year.
Pros: Room.Service. Quiet location.
Pros: Location was good, easy to find. Hotel was easy to book on booking.com.
Cons: It took 15 minutes for anyone to arrive at receptione to book us in. The extra bed we had requested was not in the room. We went out for dinner as there was no food on site suitable for the children. On our return the receptionist stopped us to give us new keys because they had cancelled our keys when they went in to put the extra bed in the room. In the room there was wallpaper hanging off the wall, the shaving socket was also hanging off the wall. There was rough sealant all around the shower. At breakfast it took 20 minutes for an omelette to arrive as the waitress had to go and find the chef.
Pros: the breakfast was very good the bathroom was poor, 1 piece of soap nothing else, not very clean
Cons: more toiletries, less expensive food, empty glasses and full ashtrays still on tables outside the next morning
Pros: The room was quiet and it was clean.
Cons: The breakfast was a little underwhelming. We arrived at 11am to change before a wedding and thought we would be able to pick up a sandwich or something. The room didn't have any biscuits and the bar / brasserie had no one serving so no food there. We had a more expensive room thinking it would be a little more comfortable. The Nespresso machine only had decaf coffee and didn't work anyway. The shower went from boiling hot to freezing cold repeatadely, the toilet flush didn't work and made loads of noise. For £150 for a night plus £11 each for breakfast, plus the cost of early check in. I feel pretty ripped off. When staying at a branded chain I expect a certain level of quality that wasn't there at this hotel. All of the office doors and cleaner rooms were open and I could hear staff arguing and being admonished by seniors - it was really uncomfortable like we were going somewhere private we shouldn't have been.
