Pros: The property was delightful and our hosts welcoming and attentive - nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious and plentiful. The whole stay was perfect. Thank you!
Cons: That we were not able to stay longer!
Pros: Our hosts were friendly, helpful and caring
Cons: There was an unexpected water problem ( not the fault of our hosts but we couldn’t have a proper shower before leaving on the next stage of our Camino
Pros: Fantastic. Thierry and Sylvie lovely hosts. Beautiful house and food of the region. Nine jams on offer for breakfast! Rooms spotless. Hosts offered to pick us up as we were a bit lost; next day drove us to our starting point on the Camino.
Cons: Nothing, except leaving.
Pros: Sylvie and Thierry were the most generous welcoming hosts. The evening meal and breakfast were amazing with all produce locally sourced even homemade jams and bread. Superb
Pros: We loved everything about this beautiful, 5 room facility. The hosts are wonderful. The hostess, Sylvie, is a great cook (dinner and breakfast were great!). The room was immaculate and had everything we needed.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: I really loved the welcome, the bnb, the food, the terrace, the aperitif. Everything!
Cons: The address on the property listing should state it is in rougeac. Having said that thierry came and gave me a lift when i realised I missed the turning and was walking to privat St allier.
Located in Lavoute-Chilhac, Maison CHA-RI-VA-RI is on a river, a 1-minute drive from Plage and 6 minutes from Plage. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Wow, what a place! As if you walk straight into a '20ies film. Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful spacious design room with lovely view overlooking the river and the village. Excellent breakfast on the balcony. Would love to come back anytime! Chapeau for the owner, Thomas!
Pros: Everything else. Beautifully decorated and clean accommodation. Stunning views. Hosts went above and beyond. Breakfast was amazing. Gutted we only had one night.
Cons: I didn't like that we couldn't lock our room door. The hotel is obviously in a small and beautiful village but travelling alone with my son meant that the lack of a lock on the room door made me worry!
Pros: Superb breakfast, so much more than bread and jam! The hosts we’re very friendly and helpful, even made the booking for an evening meal in a local restaurant for us.
Pros: This was a true treat of a recent month-long visit to France. I know the country well (after over 20 years of regular visits each summer) but with Maison Cha-Ri-Va-Ri, I discovered a new location that I now know I'd like to revisit. Emma, who greeted us upon arrival, could not have done more to make me feel welcome, at ease, and happy to be at the Maison for an evening. She promptly arranged an apero after showing me the (lovely, unique) room and recommended a place to eat, a short walk from the lodging. We enjoyed a fabulous fireworks display JUST off the balcony of the lodging as part of 14 July celebrations and it was a treat to have found this off-the-beaten-path location. I'll happily return with the wife and kids one day and explore this glorious, rugged, forgotten part of France!
Cons: Only good things to say about this place...!
When you stay at art et creation in Saint-Bérain, you'll be in the mountains and 8 minutes by car from Plage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The animated conversations during evening dinner with Jaap and Ahmed, supported by the excellent cooking skills of Ahmed. Both know the area very well and provide suitable advice on where to go and what to see. The renovation of the house has been done with great care and taste.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Pros: The owners Jaap and Ahmed are very welcoming and social. We had dinner with them on the first night of our stay which Ahmed cooked perfectly. It was one of the best dinners we had during our 2-week trip. Also the breakfast was very tasteful. Ahmed made us cupcakes on the first morning and homemade pancakes the two mornings after. From Art et Création we could make nice trips to nearby cultural sites and do a hiking trip from a nearby village.
Pros: Very nice place with excellent food. The room was very comfortable.
Cons: It would be a good idea to add a small fridge and a kettle for tea or coffee in the common room when you come back from walking, the village being very isolated.

Pros: Very friendly staff and nice accomodation. Our kids liked it a lot. The rooms were very comfy, the shower was perfect, and the breakfast really good. We had a perfect short stay!
Pros: The view from the rooms over the river is stunning and the whole village is very picturesque and traditionally French. Food in hotel restaurant very reasonably priced and well cooked. The breakfast is also good with cooked meats, plenty of cheese, breads and home-made jams.
Cons: The service in the hotel restaurant could have been better - they forgot to reserve our table, but they did sort it out in a very friendly manner. It was a very busy evening and for that reason the service was a bit slow. The room was smaller than the one we had when we stayed there last year, but it was adequate for an overnight stay. The hotel is some way away from the motorway, but it is worth the detour.

Cons: Everything was excellent
Pros: All of it
Pros: That we paid and left

Almost dead cat on the stairs, dirty bathroom only French TV channels. Shower you have to hold by yourself. Bidet under table. Better take a terrible F1 hotel or budget ibis. My advice to sleep in the car.
