Pros: Owner's sympathy. Opened us the door at 4 AM.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect for the money.
Pros: Good for the price. Clean. Friendly reception. Far from the city.
Pros: Super friendly management and staff. Room, hallway and stairs were very clean. Room was comfortable and quiet. Bar had a nice crowd and service was fast and friendly. Upon inquiring I found out that the Tinto wine that my wife said was very good had been made locally.
Cons: My only negative comment would be that the 10:00 AM checkout time is a little early. Having mostly adapted to the hour time difference when we entered and spent the week in Portugal the earlier than most hotels' checkout presented us with a bit of a rush to get cleaned up and dressed. Thinking about it, if I had asked we may have been allowed to checkout later. It would be a good idea for other travelers to make the request. I will the next time we stay at Hostal Don Pepe.
