location, very convenience. It's about 3 minutes from the train station. nothing
Good location and nice room. Bed was very hard and the showerhead kept slipping down to bottom of slide
Quiet environment with all facilities Nothing
high standard of cleanliness - helpful staff none
Location (city centre), helpfulness of staff, quiet, space to work Lack of plugs in wash-basin and bath, would have been useful to have another socket near desk
Convenient location - close to bus and train stations and local restaurants. Easy walk to city centre. Comfortable, spacious hotel room.
Nice, bright, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Quiet hotel. Very near the main railway station in Rennes. Short walk (15 mins) to centre of the city (or you can go two stops on the metro if you are feeling lazy!) If I'm being really picky, the shower was good, but the shower screen was quite narrow, so you had to be careful not to soak the floor (!)
A perfectly equipped, modern and very comfortable small hotel in an excellent position just near the station.
location near the station, coffee/tea facilities in the room, breakfast
adjacent to station and also had complimentary tea and coffee in room.
Comfortable for the one night.
The staff were freindly and the breakfasts were good value None
Good location breakfast very poor - not worth to pay 7.5 E for something like that
Just across the street from the train station. Wifi. All was satisfactory for the price.
room large, basically quiet, close to the train station
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt really welcomed. Breakfast was very good for French standard! The hotel is well located next to the train station and quiet. The smell of smoke in my room. I asked for a non-smoker room, but had bad luck...
Location and staff
location, just opposite to the train station. Very good suggestion on restaurant we liked it very much. not that i can think of
Proximity to city center, ample and comfortable room, in front of train station no parking, rooms a bit noisy
English speaking staff who were very helpful, comfortable room, very convenient location for railway station, good value None
friendly helpfull staff, clean and stylish room
The hotel is a bit out of town but perfect if you are driving. It was clean, the rooms were very big & modern by French standards and I would definitely stay here again.
We arrived at 9.30pm and no food available at all.
This is a great hotel for an overnight stay just off the freeway. The location is just off the freeway and in a business park/industrial area. There is nothing in the immediate area to see. It only took about 10 min to drive into the center of the city which is beautiful to see.
I believe it had the cleanest bathroom of our five weeks trip to england and france....the room was spotless. the airconditioning....did not understand a system where the front desk controls my space...and decides to stop the airconditioning in the middle of the night...can't open a window because of the very noisy road.
Good sized room and bathroom, and very comfortable bed. Good for overnight stay. Situated on the outskirts of the town. Not ideal for undertaking anything in the evening in the way of entertainment
the friendly hotel staff, It was really good price for a superior room. However, you will need to drive to acess the place. when we went into the room. though it was a non-smoking room but there was smoke smell and the window was opened when we arrived.
The restaurant was not open on the evening we stayed there which meant we had to travel to find one. Hotel is also in what appears to be an industrial area and is not within walking distance of any other activities/restaurants/bars etc.
Took a superior room which was very spacious. Good situation for getting straight on to the Rennes ring road. Colours and design....nice choices. We didn't approach it from the peripherique and became very lost trying to find the hotel. The entrance was not signed too well.
clean, comfortable room. within 5 min walk to old historical part of Rennes, very few other hotels offer a room for a family of 4. within an hour drive of St. Malo and Mont St. Michel.
The kitchenette in our studio room was well-equipped and I was able to make myself dinner one night. N/A
Good sized, comfortable room. Hotel was well located The buffet breakfast was a bit hit and miss. No spoons available for the cereal. Croissants had run out.Could have beedn better organised.
Good sized, comfortable room. Hotel was well located.
Well designed room, bathroom. Central location and good parking. Pleasant atmosphere. Some signs about the hotel with English translation would make things a bit easier for most foreign tourists.
Clean room, central location, helpful staff
Great location near university area, 30 minute walk to main rail station, helpful staff, clean rooms. Only bad points were the lack of a toaster and jug in the kitchen and an extra pillow would have helped.
The hotel is very conveniently situated for an exploration of Rennes. There is a superb restaurant (Le Corsaire) a few metres from the hotel. It was a little disconcerting at first to walk out of the lift into total darkness until the lights came on, activated by an electronic device.
We liked the hotel very much. Clean big room with small kitchen. Clean big bathroom, comfortable bed. We had a room 109 with windows to the inner yard. Unlike many other hotels the yard is very big and quiet - you can sleep with open window and will not hear others. Parking is perfect - private and just next door from the hotel. The lift leads from the parking to reception directly. Location is very convenient - 3 minutes from everything, but just outside the citicentre, hence the street is very quiet. Breakfast was also very nice. We haven't got the idea of the notice on the kitchen's door: it was said not to leave anything dirty otherwise the penalty would apply. That is very strange - cleaning is the part of hotel service in my understanding. We preferred not to touch anything at all - didn't want to pay 20e for the cup left in the sink... Also if anybody concerned: internet is not wifi - wired access only. And no bar/minibar in the hotel.
The rooms were spacious and clean. The location was central and convenient. The rooms all had towels for only two people. All the rooms we booked werer for 3-4 people. The office closed down at 6 pm, and most of us were stuck without adequate linens. There was no number to call at the desk to reach the receptionist or housekeeping. It was a big inconvenience as we had to be somewhere the next morning before the 8 am opening time. Please make sure you have adequate towels in room!
Although the room was a family room it was not ideal for young children - we spent the whole time in fear of them falling and breaking their neck from the mezzanine level. The ladder did not instill a feeling of confidence. But worst of all the manager entered our room using her key at just after 1 in the morning, waking me up (we were all fast asleep)to say that the people staying in the room next door were complaining about noise from our room (or at least that's what I understood with my basic French having just been woken up in the middle of the night)! Surely she would have heard from outside our door if we were making noise without having to wake me as well as giving me quite a scare. As she instantly realised we were obviously making no noise and left hastily.
free parking A little far from the City Center
confortable mattress croissants could be tasting better
Good staff and good sea-food dishes. Thanks a lot! The location is a bit far from center. I hope rent-a-bicycle service (There is the public service but it was not easy to find the place near this hotel.)
no comfort, no matress cover, 1 towel for 2
Clean and Comfortable
It's so close to railway station, because we are overloaded with our luggage. There was no place for bicycles to park.
Well positioned. Easy. Good food. Helpful staff.
The toilet was soiled and there was hair in the sink plug hole on arrival. I arrived late at the hotel after cycling from St Malo and was not in a fit state to complain.
Nice welcome from the staff Within easy reach when you arrive from Paris on the motorway and head south Very noisy rooms ; Heavy traffic all night on the road in front of the hotel . Found it hard to sleep
The staff were very helpful. Even with my broken french. They helped with maps and taxis etc The location is a fair way from Rennes itself. But it is within walking distance of the Metro and bus links.
the receptionist was so friendly and welcoming. First impressions are so important, lovely room ,lovely meal and breakfast will visit again . nothing
Ou first stay at Kyriad Hotels, won't be the last. Evening meal and breakfast excellent. The one very difficult thing and I can't say it was either entirely yours or mine. but I fell that on the booking form the address was not correct and we spent nearly an hour looking for the Kyriad in Rennes, in the end we had to get a taxi to drive in front of our car. I will also point out that he was a local taxi and he had difficulty find it on his map. The address should be Rue André et Eyonne Meynier. My gps could not find a match. Please insert whole address
Easy to find and get to, very helpful staff and a pleasant and clean environment.
We thought that this was the best Kyriad we had ever stayed at and the most welcoming, even translating the menu choices for us. We wish the next one we stayed at in Laval was as good!! One thing for your English visitors, have a menu in English please.
Good modern hotel with a decent restaurant. We used it as an overnight stop on our way South, and would use it again. Hotel was in an area where there was not much else, but for an overnight stop this was not a particular problem for us.
The room was clean and the bed's comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful The location gps coordinates supplied by booking.com were incorrect and took us to a warehouse!
Friendly staff,clean hotel,good evening meal,car parking convenient,comfortable beds,good overnight stop No lift
Nice clean and good value stay On a busy road in a industrial type area but would still stay there again
Friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the hotel generally.
Good location. Was chosen for a 'pit stop' only stay.Perfectly fitted the bill...will use again
very helpful staff
quite small bathroom
friendly staff No restaurant available for evening meals
it's too far from the city centre, and the front desk staff didn't give accurate directions
Convenience to both the autoroute and access to old town Rennes. The rooms were hot and ventilation poor. I have stayed at other Brit Hotels that were air conditioned.
Very efficient check-in. Easy to get to from the ring-road. Very clean and spacious rooms. Value for money. Reasonable breakfast. No
No lift in the hotel...no facility to store luggage on ground floor
The room was clean. Plates and cups in the restraunt were not clean enough. Breakfast was poor. Telephone in the room didn't work and was not repaired even after several complaints. Staff was not helpful.
Great bathroom Room rather small
Comfortable hotel with good parking.
The willingness of the staff to correct minor problems immediatly We thought the price of the breakfast (12 euros per person) was excessive especially if one did not take advantage of the wide range of breakfast food available. There should have been the possibility of basic continental breakfast at a reduced price
Very nice staff, always ready to help. Restaurant of hotel was very nice with small but excellent menu. And the prices were very reasonable. The internet didn't work 2 our of 3 nights but they removed it from my bill. From january on they'll switch to free internet!
The bathroom is wonderful. Nice hotel. The man at reception at 23.00 was only speaking French
I knew this hotel before, I love the view, and the price is very good the breakfast wasn't great the orange juice is diluted in water, I guess it's price related
Great value. Parking facilities. Clean and functional. None
The staffs cannot speak English and they don't have my booking information.
Clean and cheap. The bed was actually comfortable. This is French efficiency at its finest. The shower is small and the foor is not carpeted. Kinda cold in the winter.
good value for money and great lcation
It was a basic hotel for travelling clean and comfortable not far from the main road. We did not see any staff on arrival.
The Cost Lack of maintance regarding broken doors
Very kind hotel staffs when I had a car trouble. Close to city centre.
position room was smaller than I anticipated
Well positioned Hotel for viewing and visting local attractions, new Hotel with modern feel and good facilities. Car parking charged.
The shower was good. The room was the same size of a double bed. I think is a 2 star hotel, like Ibis or Fórmula 1. Rennes is not like Paris, it should have a big room.
the service at the friont desk was very good Room size is on the low side
Great central location with parking. The bar area was quite small, but there was a great bar/restaurant right next door.
The staff were very helpful across all times & days especially as I could not speak any French.
Its location. We were lucky as we had a twin room and therefore had a large room. Seeing the other rooms I would not like to stay there as they appeared far too small and cramped.
Location of the hotel, nice staff, nice building. The internet is very very expensive, about 15 euros for 24 hours.
Friendy staff. good central position, etcc
The price for breakfast
the resturant was closed. it was inconvieneant to have to go out to a resturant after travelling all day.
The hotel is close to the airport and I did not (like some others) find it noisy, despite my room facing the motorway (a couple of hundred meters away). Breakfast begins very early - 5 am - for those with early flights. The room was an adequate size for the price, and clean. I was a bit disappointed the restaurant wasn't open on the Sunday night I was there, but other than that no complaints.
Polite friendly and helpful staff. We arrived just after 9pm and the attached retaurant had already closed. We thought this was a little early given the time of year and day of the week- Friday
The beds were clean and comfortable. It was impossible to use the shower as a shower . Similarly it was not possible to take a bath as there was no plug for the bath-tub. This was extremely inconvenient and the source of much annoyance. A verbal complaint was made to the person in reception the following day, by which time it was too late. My wife band I would reasonably expect to be able to take a shower in a hotel of this kind. On checking the bill, the following day I noted that we had been charged for 2 breakfasts which we did not have. This added insult to injury and is why I would not recommend the hotel to others.
The access to the nearby airport and motorway was very convenient. No food available on the Saturday evening we arrived.
The friendly and helpful service N/A
Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room. Not easy to find.
Kindly desk staff Very important: please attend to this, I chose this hotel because it is minutes from the airport and I had a very early flight.I Wanted to be refreshed by sleep, a good hot shower, and breakfast before a very long haul flight via Paris, to Tokyo. Sadly, at 2am - I discovered that neither the shower nor the hairdryer worked. A kindly hotel rep, explained *how* the hairdryer worked, ie it should have worked as soon as it was taken out of its socket, however - it would only work at a certain angle, so after a bath, (no shower for there was no way I could discover to operate the shower), I found that the only way to get the hairdryer to work without cutting out every 5 seconds, was to stand on the lavatory seat, and raise it up. I felt tired
The hotel was conveniently located (for us with a hire car) out of town. Clean and comfortable at a reasonable rate.
Proxiity to airport. However direction from Airport to Hotel were completely inaccurate. Rooms very small.
quiet, nice, helpful staff, close to Carrefour, 20 minutes ot Rennes TGV station in general, it is a good hotel to stay all the people need to improve their English
Everything was fine. Good welcome, and staff keen to be helpful. N/A
hotel staff was friendly and helpfull, lot of free parkingspace the temperature inside the hotel was very high, this affected the comfort
Great location with shops near by. Ideal for Metro to Rennes University.
The location is very useful for us with parking . Due to the ferry times from Jersey we do not usually have a evening meal but the breakfast is very good . The rooms are comfortable and the staff very helpfil and friendly .
Hotel is in a good location for a Carrefour and Truffaux. Ample parking No lift to first floor.
Easy access to ring road, and good, frequent and cheap public transport nearby. Expensive for food and drinks.
Very nice room Restaurant food was awful and they tried to charge for a meal we had not had
comfortable bed would like to have enough tea/coffee/milk on room tray so you can have a drink on arrival as well as in the morning.
Staff very helpful; Decent sized rooms; good food. A little difficult to find. Needs a more detailed site map.
Very good for short stays (we stayed a night). Relative calm area nearby city center (5-7min walk). Fair room sizes. Good french buffet breakfast for good price (6 euros). Agréablement surprise Beware hotel reception in the restaurant - should be indicated on website because we went straight up to the hotel to get back down in the restaurant to get keys.
the walls of the rooms are too thin. if someone is playing music at night or talking loudly, it becomes difficult to sleep.
You advertised Wi-fi in all rooms. The sevice did not come up tyo standard it was very poor.
Upon arrival I was helped and immediately made to feel welcome, I was upgraded to a better room for no extra cost and the clerk made my life very easy as I was allowed to leave my key in my room to check out as I had an early train, I only stayed for one night. The rooms were also quiet but other guest could be heard on the corriedor. It was ideal for what I needed which was a stop over, the bathroom was not in the best of conditions and there was alot of mould on the ceiling but for the price the room met and exceeded expectations.
I really like the bed, it was very comfortable and the view from my window. The services was good too(reception). I didn`t like the beakfast, it was in the same small room which appeards to be a reception too.
Free internet connection, the old-style design, and the good location. No
Very friendly staff, clean room, excellent value for money. Next to a noisy/busy street.
The staff were super-helpful and friendly. Convenient location, 5 minutes from the town centre and 10 minutes from the station. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. I had to strongly resist stealing the crazy orange feathery bedside lamp! For this price and category of hotel, no. It's a basic hotel, and so I didn't expect the Ritz...
friendly staff limited shower/toilet facilities
Confirmtable room lift was out of order and forgot to clean the room (or should have asked?)
The personnel is very kind and helful
Overall appearance of hotel, grounds, public areas and rooms - good Got back to hotel Sunday 6th July, front door locked, had to wait in car park for 1 hour to get in to hotel/room. Defective water outlet in wash basin - room 114
We required simple and cost effective overnight family accommodation within a short driving distance from St Malo, and one which was not too far from our route down to the Vendee. This hotel was ideal.
This hotel is in a suburb, and difficult to find.
we were greeted on arrival with a sense that we were expected and everything was ready for us. staff were friendly and personable and the general atmosphere was relaxed. breakfast was enjoyed by all six of us and our stay there was a perfect overnight solution for our family mid- vacation. an easy run into Rennes also for an evening meal and stroll or a great little pizzeria 2 minutes walk away.
