This was a special find. A real treat. Great location. Excellent restaurant. And best value accomodation we found in Europe.
Nice area, calm, good basic Toscany food, good wine list and resonable prices of wine and food The street adress used in public (internet a.s.o.) is not correct and makes your arrival via GPS complicated. Their business card is correct!
The hotel was fine - although it must be pointed out that there was building work on going at the time of our stay - it was not intrusive. The Hotel is clean and comfortable with a reasonable pool and plenty of room outside to relax. Breakfast was a little limited in choice but you wont starve! Dinner was fine although I doubt many could manage the full 4 courses - good wine list to go with the excellent food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Being British I was a bit of a task to get a cup of tea - just like in teh rest of Italy but we survived!
Good location to start daytrips in the area The loads of mosquitos
Excellent dinner and choice of italian wines / Courtesy of staff breakfast especially morning coffe
They were only too happy to provide gluten free food. I think this should be advertised on the website, they were so helpful and deserve recognition.
Exotic and historic building in east Chianti for a good price.
The room provided was exactly as shown in the photographs. Room service was excellent. All the hotel facilities are available nad there is free Wireless internet 24h. What is really special, is the restaurant. Fore reasonable prices you get real italian Gourmet cuisine and a vast variety of wines. Highly recommended
the welcome was sincere and warm, the owner was friendly, the staff great, the location spectacular and the food wonderful
First of all, that it is very close to the Franciscan sanctuary of La Verna--nearly underneath it, in fact, and directly on a footpath leading to the shrine. But also, a very hospitable staff who made our jet-lag night comfortable in a charming mountain village setting. Can't judge the food beyond breakfast, since we were too tired to eat when we arrived. Stunning view of Arezzo and the head waters of the Arno. Wouldn't change a thing, except to stay another night.
