Pros: At Villa Carcajou the pluses are endless. Host, Rooms, Cleanliness, Quiet, Decor, Pool, are but a few of the excellent features of this Bed and Breakfast which is ideally situated for exploring the nearby attractions. The Continental style breakfast each morning was varied with some delightful home baking to set the day off on the right footing. All in all a well run establishment worthy of a ten out of ten rating.
Cons: My wife and I have tried to come up with a negative of any description - we failed miserably. The likes above say it all.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hosts. Could not fault it!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were marvellous.. Fabulous breakfast with home-baked components every morning. The pool is lovely and, like everything else, finished to a high standard and beautifully maintained. We had use of the kitchen which, again, is well-fitted and spotlessly clean and we found this very useful travelling with a 2 year old. The bed and linen were very comfortable and we were able to park the car right outside the door in a purpose-built carport which was useful for loading the car in the morning and kept it cool during what was a very hot stay! Can't wait to visit again..

Pros: The breakfast served was perhaps one of my favorite meals during my stay in all of France. Consider that I went to a wedding! That's how good the breakfast was. I am particularly a fan of the jam that was used for my bread. I can't say enough about how much i enjoyed the meal
Cons: There's nothing that I did not like. The only thing that i imagined that could have been use

Pros: Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. They provided a safe place to store our bicycles. The quiet of our patio and the surrounding gardens was lovely. Our room was large and attractively decorated. Fresh fruit and juice and homemade jams were a real treat at breakfast.
Cons: Although it is common in this area to have a glass door but no window, we like to have a window to open at night.

Pros: Pretty area and grounds. Convenient stopping point for us on a long journey.
Cons: The pillows were very hard! 1 long bolster pillow in a double bed :(

Cons: Limited breakfast Nowhere open to eat locally on a Tuesday night Large room but could do with a couple of comfortable chairs and a larger bed(king size would have been better for the size of room)

Cons: Perhaps a pain au raisin/ pain chocolat with breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hosts. Lovely decor and ambience . Delicious breakfast . Recommended to an excellent nearby cafe for dinner
Cons: A 2 or 3 way adaptor would be good so that it would be easier to charge mobile phones
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Charming, helpful proprietors. Lovely big old room with lots of character and view over the harbour. Delicious croissants at breakfast. Very good quiet location with easy parking.
Cons: Nothing.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location. Nice old house
Cons: Although we stayed for 8 nights the bathroom was never cleaned . We had to ask for a change of towels and bedsheets after 3 days which were provided although we were told this was not usual . This seemed odd to us because if we had stayed for 1 night only we would have had clean sheets and towels. I may add that there was no reduction in tariff for a long stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. We opted to have them cook dinner for us and it was very fun and the food was delicious. They have secure storage for bicycles and it is a very relaxed and fun atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: The only thing I would change is that the breakfast that is included is very minimal. We are cyclists so we like to have a more complete breakfast.

Cons: The rooms are spotlessly clean but are a little small and basic. The hotel is situated on a quiet road on the seafront and there are sea views from the restaurant. There is ample parking. The host was welcoming and helpful. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and the meals were very good. We visited the old fishing village of Talmont-sur-Gironde, a short walk away and enjoyed this pretty old village with its white washed cottages and narrow streets, with plenty of individual shops and restaurants.
Cons: Despite requesting a gluten free diet, which the restaurant was able to accommodate, they were unable to provide and gluten free bread for breakfast.
