Pros: Location is perfect! Not far from airport. Close to the monumento, restaurants and clubs. Close to the market La Sirena. Pool and sauna are nice. Front desk staff speaks English. Most importantly, no one stopped my guests, we were free to come and go.
Cons: During this visit, the pool was shut down due to repairs. There was the option to visit a neighboring hotel 15min away but who would go through all of that for a pool that's not as nice. Aside from that hiccup, I have no complaints about the hotel.
Pros: Excellent service, impeccable room, great breakfast. Staff are friendly and professional. The bed very comfortable. Also my room was very quiet which isn't always the case in Dominican Republic. Highly recommend, I have been coming here for 20 years and they never disappoint
Cons: Liked pretty much everything. Location is not near much, there is Friday's restaurant next door, but you will need a taxi or to drive to other points of interest, but that is no problem, taxis are inexpensive and always available.
Pros: How clean it was
Cons: Too many hidden fees
Cons: Everything was good
Pros: Breakfast and the staff was so nice. Room server and food was excellent. Casino was nice too.
Cons: To know that if you met someone for their county, I will not be charge for coming back to the hotel (40.00 us) . To charge the guest was horrible. The front desk guys all did something did or said different. One on the afternoon shift refer on to me on check-in as "My Nigga". I can say....This Hotel I will not be coming back to at all. The pool was under repair, But i was charge full price. I did not see or was told about the fees on paper or doing check-in. PLEASE WATCH YOUR MONEY .......YOU WILL BE CHARGED!!!!
Pros: Free shuttle from STI airport, just call. Free extras with upgrade.
Pros: I believe the employees are the number one reason for my positive experience. They are tenured and tthey genuinely care about their guests.
Cons: There was nothing in my experience staying at this hotel that I can point to.
Pros: very nice room
Cons: I agreed to pay an additional $50.00 for a number of services including massage, breakfast and cocktail. Massage not available the day i was there, breakfast was poor, and drink voucher not offered. Only thing i did receive was a sorry by one person.
Pros: Great customer service
Pros: The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Would stay there again.
Cons: One my last day at the hotel, the staff at the restaurant ask me questions regarding what room was I staying in. I never had this problem the other days that I had breakfast, but I was required to sign a receipt that I resided at the hotel and what room I was in.....Not Good
Located in Santiago de los Caballeros, Camp David Ranch is within a 15-minute drive of Centro Leon and Casino Gran Almirante. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great place, beautiful sunset
Cons: Uber’s don’t like to come up here
Pros: Restaurant facilities, food and menu choices were outstanding, as well as those preparing and servicing food; inside and outside restaurant/bar decor and atmosphere including music also outstanding!
Cons: Bathroom sink was leaking and it took over 12 hours to have hot water in the bathroom. Outlets were not easily available inside room, TV too small to be seen across bed, and stairs to go inside the rooms were immediately next to the open outside door, making it a real hazard to falling down the stairs. No swimming pool. Not much to do for children.
Pros: breakfast was the highlight. Peaceful and great food. Rooms were ok. But the view is why we visited.
Cons: upgrade the rooms a little.
Pros: The mountain and city views from our room were spectacular. Balcony was very relaxing and the room was very quiet for a good sleep. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. Overall my stay was everything I was looking for and got it.
Pros: The dinner and location were amazing
Cons: We were in a room with no natural light and constant humming from various machines. It was comfortable and clean but when you pay a little extra to stay somewhere like this it would be nice to be able to enjoy the view
Pros: The food was excellent, the cozy ambient, the service, the facilities the staff everyone seemed so nice
Cons: Overall it was very nice. Would help a lot to have more outlets in the room so you can charge electronic devices without inconvenience. I have to use the dryer outlet inside the bathroom to charge my phone

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The accommodation provides evening entertainment and a shared kitchen. Pros: Nothing else to say
Cons: It was all good
Pros: The place was very clean and cozy... easy access and private. I felt safe.
Cons: All good.
Pros: Great location. Cool place.
Cons: Just needs to be cleaned more often when there's a lot of people staying there. Noisy all through the night, great if you want a party hostel, not so good if you're in need of rest.
Pros: Good cost to stay for backpackers. Really near to the historic monument. There are many restaurants around here. Esa zona es menos peligrosa que otra zona porque hay muchas turistas.
Cons: Nothing. We are backpackers.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Pros: Loved the staff and how cute the place is! Super clean and super intimate! Highly recommend it!
Pros: Great breakfast and help navigating town.
Cons: Ask for towels.
Pros: Clean and cozy
Cons: You could hear the staff playing loud music and tv at times.
Pros: It felt like home! Very comfy and with proper privacy. It also felt very safe and was very close to a supermarket, which was very convenient.
Pros: Clean, excellent location, perfect price.
Cons: Everything was on point, no complaints.
Pros: Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Very well located, close to Centro Leon museum and shopping center Paseo Santiago.
Cons: Facilities are a little dated although fairly well kept. The AC in the room can't be adjusted, it's just on/off and fixed at 23°C/73°F and it was 33°C/91°F outside, first day it took us a while to cool the room.
Pros: Very cute, comfortable, and safe place for a solo female traveler. Definitely take the recommendations for the taxi there because I got ripped off by someone who did not know where the place was, so have the owner set up a taxi for you. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I also loved the room. The bed was big and comfortable, and the TV was huge, and the bathroom adequate as well with hot water in the shower. The AC and fan worked fine to cool the room. The restaurant was very quaint and convenient, and the food very good! There is also a natural foods/vegetarian restaurant across the street which I wanted to check out but they did not take cards. I loved it and would stay there again if I am ever back in Santiago.
A stay at Hotel Casa Jum places you in the heart of Santiago de los Caballeros, within a 5-minute drive of Centro Leon and Bella Terra Mall. Featured amenities include express check-in, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: The mattress and sheets were excellent. The Terrace was very romantic.
Cons: I am saying this as a professional in that trade. They can create a narrow concrete path (or pavers) and use night luminaires to bring in just the right amount of light in the garden. The garden view would be available 24-hour. Note that the absence of lighting in the garden is not a negative. This place is a 10.
Pros: Everything was excellent and above expectation for the price... once you get over the slow service especially from the kitchen. If you decide to eat from there, they literally open the kitchen for you... and that is where the slow service comes from (no way around it except order WELL in advance which I will do next time).... but the food ends up being freshly done... and the free breakfast is NOT basic continental. I especially liked room #3 - very private entrance straight out to the road... I never met other Hotel guests...lol.
Cons: I found the opening the locked door a little irritating. There was a trick to it which I could never quite master. My friend did. Minor issue though.
Pros: I enjoyed the very nice staff they had there the most. They were very inviting and very nice. Couldn't as for nicer people.
Cons: The only thing i didn't like was the $25 dollar fee they charged for an airport ride. It's a 10 dollar Uber ride, so why don't they match dollar for dollar what UBER charges? That's the only thing i didn't like.
Pros: Staff constantly checked on me to see if I needed anything. They were all very friendly.
Pros: Staff was friendly and the room itself was worth the money
Pros: The apartment was a second home for us. Traveled with a four month baby and was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helped out as much as possible. Fully equipped with kitchen, fridge and best of all Air Conditioner also hot water. I liked everything. I stayed for a few days and ended up going back to the hotel until our trip was over. The location and price are great!
Cons: There was no water for a few hours but staff worked on the issue and resolved it quickly.
Pros: The fans in each room. Clean sheets& towels
Cons: The keys to lock the doors are tricky to open. Very secure area.

Pros: The staff was excellent. They were helpful and very friendly. The restaurant was great. It is close to the airport. I have recommended the hotel to friends that are planning trips to Santiago.
Cons: My trip was over to quickly. I look forward to my return. I did inquire about a hotel reward program. The staff said there wasn't one. He may have been unaware of the program.
Cons: Check-in & check out practices are EXTREMELY deceptive !!! Was overcharged on both of my stays there !!! First, at check-in on my first stay, then at check-out on my second stay.
Pros: The reception people were very helpfull and kindly
Cons: The breafast was at avarage level and was never ready on time as announced during my stay
Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful facility, loved the sneaker loaners, great pool, clean room
Cons: Need at least 2 bottles of water in the room. 1 just want enough for 2 people.
Pros: Everything, the service, the food, good ambience.
Cons: All good
Pros: The overall room service, the food, drinks, the comfort of the bed, hot water in the bathroom, also very, very nice shower. Also, very nice & quiet. Slept like a baby !!!
Cons: The price at check - in was a slightly higher than advertised on booking.com.
Pros: the bed and breakfast
Cons: light in the bathroom
Pros: Rugs need replacement, overall cleanness is compromised; also bathrooms are not crispy clean. Rooms have excessive humidity, I got an allergy reaction.
Pros: Breakfast very good. Awesome service!
Cons: The room needs more lighting.
Pros: Great food and location in Santiago
Cons: No issues

Pros: Breakfast was good, although they said it would start at 06:30, te doors didn't open untill 6:45. Which made us have only 15 minutes for breakfast.
Cons: Ok, here is the thing, we were tired from traveling and had a lot of clothes to wash, so without looking we grabbed the bags and put everything inside: 4 pants, around 8 shirts, couple of underwear and socks, 5 tshirts. The day before leaving I asked for the bill and they charged 160 $US! That was really sky high! So, I complained, that amount for so little clothes, we were almost paying for new clothes, the amount was as much as a month minimum salary. I have been traveling all around the world, and no hotel charged that much. So, I complained... and we got a reduction of 50% on that bill and "only" paid 80 $US. It is still a lot of money, but this issue made the trip rather sour. One can say "it's your own fault", shoud have checked the prices before. But, on experience, that amount was just extremely high.
Pros: The Hotel is clean, easy check-in and check-out the stuff is very helpful they take care guests very nice. Beds comfortable, cool A/C, hot shower, mini freeze in room, balcony perfect for seat outside..
Cons: Noise at night from the street is normal in DR
Pros: The service is excellent, the courtesy and commitment shown by everyone involved with the hotel was excellent. Looking forward to my next stay there.
Pros: Great Hotel, comfortable bed!
Pros: After receiving a substandard room on last visit, I got a room with balcony with views of Monuments.
Pros: Really there is nothing outstanding about this hotel to like. I suppose it’s location downtown but that area is really just another non-descript area. No restaurant hub or attractions to say stay here.
Cons: The room was small, furnishing old and bed covered s spotted. We had a gun battle on the street outside at 1:30am with 20+ shots being fired. There was no hot water for shower, which was barely functional.
Pros: The staff was wonderful, and the facility was clean and comfortable. No complaints.
Cons: I would have liked a pool and more dining options, but for the price, it was a great deal!
Pros: Friendly staff and accommodating. I like to stay there when I am in Santiago. I will stay again.
Cons: hot water was sparse,
Cons: I booked a room with a King bed and the Hotel said the reservation they received was with a Queen bed.
Pros: First of all, I like the bed's comfort, and then the customer service staff.
Cons: I don't like the location. It's a little bit noisy.....

Cons: Internet very spotty. Only worked near room door and in hallway. I was on the third floor. Internet needs stronger signal.

Pros: good wifi, lady services breakfast was very friendly.
Cons: My first room (301)was way too noisy from the street traffic all night long. They changed a room for me under my request. It was better than the first one, but it was still pretty loud. I had to wear my bose noise canceling headphone every night to be able to sleep. Poor quality of bedding, it was so uncomfortable. No one cleaned the room during my stay. The breakfast is too simple and limited. The hot water in my second room (202) was never stable. It was good for a minute or two, then it changed to cold. Then I had to wait for a while till hot water came back again. To makes things worse, on my last day there, they had no hot water. The front desk told me she shut it down first, she asked me wait for 10 minutes. After half hour, she told me they had problem and it needed to be fixed. Anyway, after much wait, it was supposed to be fixed. Hot water finally came up and again only lasted for a couple of minutes and it never got hot again. I ended up raise off the soap with cold water(not good for my arthritis, and my body is still hurting and tired). The next morning, they still didn't have hot water I couldn't take a shower before going to the airport. and no one ever apologize for anything. Staying at Palmetto was more like a work for me. I never got rested there. It ruined my holiday.
Pros: The room was quiet and dark so great for a night's rest. Soft bedding, spacious bedroom, great AC.
Cons: Scarce parking spaces and the bathroom had some rusty materials which I suggest are replaced to give the place a better look.
Pros: It was centrally located and should garner a good walk ability score.
Cons: The room was clean however there was a very strong chemical odor that lasted throughput my stay.
Pros: Looks nices and fancy
Cons: No parking. You need to park in the street. Also breakfast have to take the stairs 5 floors with no elevator
Pros: It was okay
Cons: Better price

Pros: From the time that i exited the hired taxi i was impressed with it's location, it's staff, and it's facilities. The location of the hotel was close to grocery stores and everthing else that anyone could appreciate. The staff was very professional and accomodating. Although the hotel was not newly erected, one could tell that they take a lot of pride into maintaining it.
Pros: The personal attention from the owner, conviniece location and the value making ecellent choice.
Cons: Would be nice to get room service available.
Pros: Size of the rooms. Services. Breakfast. Price.

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. Pros: Staff is friendly
Cons: Hot water is either non existent or very scarce. NOISY their windows are thin and there are several nightclubs blasting ALL NIGHT LONG. Dont expect to sleep peacefully.
Pros: It was convenient to get to from the Autopista. Good water pressure in the showers. The mangu was delicious at the continental breakfast. The front desk staff and the door men were very helpful.
Cons: The rooms were pretty dated and a little dreary. It's not that peaceful of a stay as the casino and it's bars/clubs are right below. There was some obvious prostitution happening in and around the hotel. One of the male waitstaff made a very inappropriate come-on to my friend, that really made her feel incredibly uncomfortable. Location is not really near good Dominican food or local spots.
Pros: Great location
Cons: The hotel say children invited but did not say they must be with their parents. So I could not take my friend minor child this should me make clear.
Pros: the servise was good,
Cons: parking, key to room had to re-new every day
Pros: This is about my 3rd or 4th time staying at Matum, The location is 100%!!! I mainly stay here because of the location, but I must admit it is such a shame that year by year, this hotel gets worse & worse, it's really soo so sad & unfortunately I do not think I will ever stay here at Matum ever again!!! I do not know who owns this Matum, I think it might be the Dominican Government, but whomever the owner is, needs to take some pride in their property & take care of it!!! Matum has such great history & its like a historical landmark basically & if the hotel was kept up, taken care of & maintained properly it would be an amazing place!!!!
Cons: The rooms are soon very dark, it's like the lightbulbs are such low wattage, or I have no idea, with every single light on in the room, it is still very dark. Good luck if u lost something & need to try & find it. Good luck trying to get ready as a female doing your hair & makeup in the dark!!!! And the shower, oh no, the shower is horrible, barely a trickle of water comes out of shower & not to mention it is COLD!!! No hot water. Shower is this little shower stall & the sliding doors (plastic) are off the hinges & do not even close! I had 2 rooms here, for my husband & I and another for my mother--both rooms sucked so bad & it's so sad that I will never return to this hotel again. No hot water, not even warm in both rooms/showers. Rooms are dark, it's pathetic! Rooms smelled like Raid, or some sort of serious bug spray & then after u get used to the smell, you can then smell your bathroom which smells like sewer or plumbing issues.
Pros: The casino
Cons: Not good at all.
Pros: Location was great. Rooms weren't bad. Free breakfast.
Cons: Mini bar scam. When checking in an employee goes with you and notates what is in the mini bar and what is not. They don't always refill it after the previous guest leaves. They tried to charge me for the items which were already listed as missing.Scam

Cons: Don’t recommend it ! Was to dangerous for alone woman so I changed hotel for my wife .
Pros: Friendly helpful folks. Brought us jugs of water as needed and tried to fix lights. Cieling fan works. Breakfast was a really sweet attempt with a tasty homemade local chocolate drink and great coffee... but sliced ham and cheese on white bread just isn't really a proper breakfast, y'know? Called Uber for me and ... not sure why when I have the app, but they paid for my $4 trip to town...a nice gesture. Bed was decently comfortable. Upstairs they offer massage, so that might be good, but I don't get massages, so I can't rate that... looked clean (only that part). Summation: cool people, lady of the house and the kids are really really sweet, everyone is helpful and nice... but I will never pay to stay there again. We stayed* (*not slept) the first night and left, even though we paid for 3 non-refundable nights.
Cons: No running water. Broken window + no screens = badly bitten by flying bugs = miserable sleep for 3 days even though I only stayed one night... I hate itchy bug bites! Not clean, floor sticky, stuff left in closets, trash can really gross. House kitchen needs some love. Whole place needs a deep cleaning. Air conditioner not working. Had to fix wiring myself to get a light working properly... other light in room didn't work, just a lamp. Security lax, gate not locked at night. Dogs bark all night long. Noisy street.
