Pros: Really kind host Pierre, perfect place to chill to break up a trip through the country. On advice of Pierre we went to the nice small waterfall in the area, we walked around the oasis behind the Dar and chilled a lot at the nice swimming pool! Food (breakfast and dinner) was nice and worthy! Service and staff was exactly how it should be! Thanks for the nice stay Pierre!
Cons: Everything was perfect!

Pros: Nice and friendly

Pros: Beautiful property with very clean and pleasant swimming pool (kids loved it). Lovely staff and host. Impeccably clean throughout.
Cons: Was great to have fresh baguette/butter for breakfast but would be nice to offer the option to go for a Moroccan breakfast as well.

Cons: Everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything at Dar Sofar was superb. The room was quiet and comfortable, the pool and surroundings were peaceful, and we loved the soundscape of birds and palm trees. On top of that, the lamb couscous cooked on site was one of the best meals of our life. This is an excellent place to relax after a couple days of intensity in Marrakech and the Sahara.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We found that it was the perfect place to break up our trip from the desert to the next stop. Pierre and the rest of the staff had a real relaxed vibe and were making sure that we had a comfortable stay and they succeeded!! The dinner was delicious and the breakfast was very good as well. Thanks very much for our pleasant stay!! Would definitely recommend to stay here!

The rooms were very elegant and everything was so clean. Finally, the owner was very friendly and helpful, would sure love to visit this place again. As for the breakfast, we appreciated so much the unlimited hot coffee by the pool.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. So much food. All the staff were so friendly and generous. The grounds are beautiful. As a family of 4, we were able to be in 1 room.
Cons: It is a bit off the main path. If you decide to venture out, it is a walk. For us, we were there for a short night (7pm-9am) since we were on our way to the Sahara, so we were happy to stay in for the night!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The facility is beautiful and comfortable. Dinner was excellent. The host and the staff were very helpful and gracious.
Cons: There were large black ants in our room. We also saw them in the dining room. In the morning there was no electricity. Apparently, the owners knew the power would be off from 8:00am until noon, but they did not tell us in advance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tremendously beautiful palm garden with date palms, pomegranate trees, citrus trees and many other plants. Very nice interior design, great pool and everything was so quiet. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty. We will come again! Highly recommended :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There are many places in Morocco that don't deserve the 9+ rating. And then there are many fewer of the others that deserves 10+. This is one of THE other. The best place I've been to in recent years. Wonderful garden full of trees and birds and a REAL swimming pool. Best food we had on our 2-week-trip through Morocco with nice French touch and everything local and bio (some of it from their own garden, home-made yoghurt...). The only European standard property concerning the cleanliness, service and rooms. And most importantly - the staff was not overdoing anything just craving for the best rating. It was the most pleasant experience and I am pretty sure that one day I will be back. Agdez means The resting place and yes, indeed, it still deserves it's name because of Kasbah Azul.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: everything. we were the only guests, it felt like a private resort. Probably one of the most unexpected jewels of our Morocco trip. Definitely worth to stay longer than one night. Its a place for total relaxation.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for stop over when driving from Merzouga to Marrakech. Lovely staff and very welcoming. Dinner was delicious

Pros: super beautiful place calm, green area between old town and the palmerie
7.5 Good
Pros: Set in a palmerie, it was very peaceful. Had dinner at the hotel, which was good. Continental breakfast was standard. The decor was in Moroccan style, very nicely done.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at the property after the lunch hour, and even if we didn't tell them in advance that we would like to have lunch also, they came up with the solution straight away and we had the best berber omelet we have ever eaten in all 10 days we travelled through Morocco. We only stayed there one night but everything exceeded our expectation. The dinner and breakfast were amazing also and the location in the palm grove gives a good holiday mood. Thank you for the hospitality!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stop between Marrakech and merzouga for one night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice Riad, comfortable room and very good diner! Would definitely recommend!
Cons: It probably has to do with the fact that I stayed there in early August, but there was a lot of bees and flies outdoors. No problem once inside :)

Pros: One of our absolute favourite stays in Morocco! Beautiful nature and the views on the mountains in the afternoon are fantastic! The staff is very friendly and the owner Juan is a living guidebook. He recommended us a route for the next day which I really made our day!
Cons: Nothing to complain! :-)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful place to calm down. Staff is nice and friendly. The rooms are cute. The town is not worth going to but the riad has enough space to be alone
Cons: The mattress was really hard, maybe a road sign but directions were clear nevertheless
5.4 Okay
Pros: We were very upset that our excellent Moroccan crew was not allowed to enter the courtyard and had to put up there bivouac in the palmeraie.
Cons: the location is next to the river in the palmeraie
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The name says it all: The Ecolodge is a hidden Oasis between Ouazazade and Zagora. You really feel like you are entering a dream when walking through the gardens and surrounding nature. The little bungalows are super cosy and very nicely decorated! The staff is very friendly and the food is exceptional. We only had one night here but wished we could stay longer!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hara Oasis is the perfect place to get away from busy life and get immersed in nature. The food was amazing and the lodge very well decorated. Agdz is a lovely town to walk around as well.
Cons: It gets a bit cold/humid at night but I'm sure that you can ask for a heater.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was really nice and caring. Hotel is a little bit difficult to find as it is secluded. On the other hand the location is a privileged one with a fantastic view on the mountain and palmtrees
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great little paradise in the middle of the Oasis with a stunning mountain view. Juan and his staff are great hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lodge Hara Oasis is what the name is telling you - a real oasis in the middle of dates. The place is impeccably clean, really nicely decorated & wonderfully situated along the river. The staff is very helpful and friendly and we recommend going there. Our tipp: Really try to stick to the directions you are given upon booking. It is tricky to find the haven in the middle of the date forrest :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: People were really friendly, really kind for animals too. There were a lot of cats but nevertheless everything was perfectly clean. Amazing surroundings. Breakfast was also nice!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was decorated in a warm creative way which reflected the host acurately. The environment was beautiful and we would have liked more time there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Autentic, unic, tradicional. Mustafa el millor anfitrio possible. Authentic, unique, traditional. Mustafa is the best possible host.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The kasbah is a couple of minutes walk along deserted ruins from parking and no signs. However the place is like walking into a museum. It is the most interesting place we have stayed in Morocco. The host is exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Our room on the second floor was a good size and amazingly decorated with traditional rugs and ornaments. Bathroom is outside the bedroom but we had the floor to ourselves so no problem. It is fairly modern. Our breakfast on the terrace was excellent. The wifi was the best we have had in Morocco, we could actually stream video. Would love to come back and stay longer at this place.
Cons: We didn’t have hot water for our shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location > Superb, really 'authentic' Staff > Mustafa is a top host, nice service and great conversation Food > Excellent tajin, worderful breakfast in the terrace
Cons: Everything was just great! Of course, you must consider you are in a kasbah ;-)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host is amazing - and the location is an original old house - just amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great host who was a great cook and a fine traditional musician
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mustapha welcomed us as if we were family. He was attentive, personal and a really good cook. He has created an amazing artistic space, very cozy in the middle of a historic Kasbah. He is full of artistic talents and even played music for us in the evening. We can not rave enough about our experience. We cannot wait to visit again!! Next time we will definitely stay longer :)
Cons: Not a thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent old building, carefully restored by the best host I've ever stayed with in a beautiful location. Great views across the valley from the rooftop. Mustafa is so welcoming, so helpful and interesting to talk with. So basically: if you coming to the Agdz area, stay here :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Every good Kasbah has a heart. In Kasbah Maktob the heart is Mustapha. Mustapha loves his home and he loves to share it with you. Tamnougalt is a Kser that is now mostly abandoned. The old city for a large part lies in ruins and you can roam about freely. On the eastern part in the middle of these ruins you will find Kasbah Maktob. When you step inside you are all of a sudden in a beautifully renovated old Kasbah. The family room is beautiful and a good base for families to explore the region.
Cons: Mustapha provides bed and breakfast. For dinner you will have to go elsewhere and options in Tamnougalt are limited (1 restaurant). Agdz offers more options and you can use Mustapha's kitchen to cook your own meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner, Mustapha, is a charming person. From the beginning of our stay he took care of all the details to make our stay comfortable, full of great souvenirs and feeling like at home with our best friend. He has fully modernised his kasbah and decorated in traditional berber style. The kasbah is great, perfect views from the terasse and neaby the palmeria and the river. The whole family has appreciated our stay, we have visited nearby locations and we keep the best memories on Mustapha and our stay. We can warmly recommend the visit at the place.
Dar Qamar - Agdz - Pool

9.0 Excellent (141 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Agdz, Dar Qamar is within a 5-minute drive of Eden Adventure and Municipalile Agdz. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Dar Qamar is a tranquil oasis in Agdz. We used it as a well located base to explore the upper Draa Valley. Safe, shaded, free parking. Through a small door in an ancient mudbrick wall—-and you are in a magic lush garden, with a lovely pool, nicely done (Air conditioned) And very clean rooms, and a generous and kind staff. Perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was plentiful and the two evenings of dinners we had there were delicious. Let them know of any food concerns ahead of time and they are happy to accommodate. Nice wines.
Cons: Dar Qamar is located in the nearly abandoned old part of Agdz. While the hotel helps out the few neighbors, the remaining people are very poor. This mix of emptiness and poverty makes the neighborhood feel in safe to walk around in......
6.7 Good
Pros: The outdoor area was great, really gave you the oasis feeling. Clean pool, amazing garden and fair meals at the pool area.
Cons: The maintenance of the rooms could be better. Bathroom equipment in poor condition and furniture as well. We found a cockroach in our bed but I guess these things might happen in a rural area. Stuff couldn’t speak English (only French) so the communication was difficult, although they were kind. The overall stay was pleasant and the Riad was very authentic but I didn’t find it value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great Pool, great rooms, great food! Loved it!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: An oasis hidden behind a drab wall, once inside you are greeted by the sound of birds and you walk between bougainville and other colorful flora. The rooms are cool, great shower to wash away the desert dust and a bracing pool. In the back we found a private shady seating area next to a muster of peacocks. Poolside dining and breakfast.
Cons: The menu was quite west-oriented. Tagines or similar would have been nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Most beautiful hotel during our trip in Maroc. The garden and pool are amazing, with a lot of details. Room was fine, even was the shower. Dinner was luxury and very good. Staff is nice and calm. Nice hotel to relax and rest after a few busy days. The hotel is located in a poor neighbourhood, but with very friendly people, we didnt felt unsafe.
Cons: The hotel is more expensive compared to others in Maroc, but it was worth the money. The bed was not soft, but thats normal in Maroc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All very good!!!!!!!

Pros: The position was beautiful and the staff was very kind and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is wonderful, the location is perfect. Having breakfast and dinner near the swimming pool and the palms was a one of a kind experience. The staff was very nice and help me a lot as I was sick and allowed us to stay a bit longer.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a very good location, close to all sights. It was a group there when I arrived, but they still managed to look after individuals as well. A very friendly lady spoke English. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The rooms have heather/air con , so you can set the temperature as you like. Nice pool, and fast service in the restaurant/ cafe. They sell beers as well. The outdoor sitting area is very nice, and it's facing the Palmerarie, so the view is nice. The breakfast was superb.
Cons: It was nothing I did not like, but the cost was a bit high for my budget.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing, especially the food. Great environment and location.
7.1 Good
Pros: The first is that it had a pool which was quite clean. After driving through the desert all day it was a great place for a cool dip. The rooms were clean. But don’t expect the wifi to work in any of them. We had dinner at the property it was by far one of the best Tangines I’d had so far. And the breakfast was good as well. The service was very good.
Cons: The property is not new and could use renovations. The AC in our room did not work very well. So it was very hot. As I mentioned wifi was non existant in the rooms. It did work well near the kitchen and pool area. The property doesn’t accept credit cards. That was a big pet peeve of mine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lady who seemed to be the manager/boss was very good. She spoke good English and had the whole place running well....it takes a woman!!!! She organised onward transport for us and was certainly used to looking after guests. Room was spacious and well presented and outside pool/gardens/terraces were very agreeable, especially looking at the sheep etc in the field next to the establishment. Food was very plentiful, tasty and some different foods to eat from the usual found in other hotels. Well priced food and accommodation. Thank you from Janet and Roy from UK. Dining area was spacious with upright chairs and a log fire as it was cold outside. Roof terrace had excellent views all around. Photographers delight.
Cons: Wife worked only in large reception area but there was seating so comfortable.
Ecolodge Bab El Oued Maroc Oasis - Tammougalt - Pool
8
9.0 Excellent (51 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food at the Ecolodge is superb!! Don’t miss out on those tasty meals. Surrounded by the palm oasis and next door to old kasbahs it made the exploration of the area easy.
Cons: All was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: If you enter here, you enter into another world! It is a small PARADISE, an OASIS OF TRANQUILITY AND HARMONY! The place is full of charm, the garden with 1000s of plants and huge palm trees is just WOW! There are only 7 units (free standing, small houses). The décor of the houses is very charming and typically Berber style. Everything is chosen with much love and dedication to detail. There is a lovely pool, 7 peacocks which are most adorable, 25 cats - and a wonderful, extremely hospitable couple (he is Berbère from this village, she is French). The place is wonderful during the day, and magically illuminated during the night. If you want and need absolute peace and a place connected to nature - this is your DREAMLAND! If you need WiFi, 5* luxury and entertainment, then go elsewhere. It is a place for people in search of peace, harmony and the desire to disconnect and find themselves. I LOVE this place, and the owners are just adorable people! For sure I will go back, because this place is really very, very special!
Cons: What I did not like here? Mmmh... let me think! .... Actually there is nothing that comes into my mind. I do not need a TV or Internet to disconnect. Therefore I did not miss it. What I missed a bit was a corner or little shop where to buy a souvenir from here. A t-shirt, ceramic from the area, et cetera.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing setting in the palm grove. Nice to have separate freestanding rooms in chalking rustic style
10.0 Excellent

Cons: breakfast was just fine. dinner was not cheap and not good enough
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location and the property ambience. WE were given a roof top room which was very large and quite wonderful. The views were excellent of the surrounding countryside with our own sitting out area on the room roof terrace. Very good.

Pros: We booked a standard quadruple room but as were the only guests we ended up staying in the family suite (not sure if we paid the extra for it but if we did it was totally worth it). The room was incredible. Beautiful and clean. The grounds are like paradise. Absolutely stunning. There are cats on site which was great for us as we are cat lovers anyway.
Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and peaceful location surrounded by palm trees. Easy to reach by car from Agdz town center. The staff is very kind and helpful. Very good breakfast served in the garden. Dinner quality and service was also very good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the location was beautiful. very near the river with nice hike through the palm trees, Dinner and breakfast was delicious and severed on the open air patio. the owner was very attentive and you can tell she takes great pride in this complex. She has a garden of roses and a lovely water fountain that i would have never expected you could bath in to cool off from the heat. you are able to go atop of the main lounge and star gaze too. beautiful!
Cons: we stayed in one of the tents. we only stayed one night but if it was longer i would have asked for a regular room. As it was very earthy and decor matched the setting. it was quite musty and i wished there where bars on the windows. my son and i are allergic to cats and there were quite a few roaming the area. With that said, the accommodations were nice. the bathrooms with showers are available in a separate building near by and clean.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Miriam was a wonderful host. Excellent Location. An oasis in the middle of a palmerie close to town. Refreshing plunge pool. Great food. Beautiful large room. Lots of areas to chill out.
Cons: Wi-fi was a little hit and miss - but let's face it we didn't go away for this or have any expectations so not a problem. will return to this property if in the area again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful people. Excellent Dinner and Breakfast.
6.7 Good
Cons: Very dusty and dirty rooms No hot water in the shower
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The proprietor, Miriam, has created a beautiful, peaceful corner of paradise in the palmerie. We especially appreciated her deep knowledge of the surrounding area, so that we knew where to go to see local life as well as history. This turned out to be our favorite place in three weeks of travel around Morocco.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Turn off technology and relax! Solar power means no TV and the water pressure is low but if you want a place to relax amongst the palm trees then this is the place. Our room was great and the setting was perfect and the staff could not be more welcoming. Breakfast was good but the evening meal (advance notice required) was fantastic. A great place to stay.
Cons: We made the mistake of only staying one night - should have stayed forever!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice area, beautiful garden, good breakfast
Cons: Rather expensive for Morocco. Nice room, but we already stayed in Even more beautiful Kasbahs for less money. Pool is rather a fountain than a pool, but at least one can sit into.

Pros: Very stylish place, located just out of center Agdz, with views on besutiful Casbahs, palmeraie and Jebel Kissane. A pleasure to stay and enjoy the peaceful calmth. Good breakfast, i did not try their meals but I heard that they are fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stylish rooms
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely room on the terrase. Sitting under the stars. Spacious rooms.
Cons: Roaming dogs are barking at night. Windows closed and airco on lifted the little annoyance.
7.1 Good
Pros: Accommodation was clean. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Staff were polite. Pool was refreshing, though small.
Cons: Room decor is REALLY dated. It is overpriced for what you get. We were traveling in July so a pool was important. There seems to be well reviewed places for a much better price nearby sans pool. Agdz doesn't have tourist/scenic value. Would not recommend.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extraordinarily helpful. Since we were the only guests they made dinner and breakfast and it was wonderful. They also gave us wonderful useful information on travel.
Cons: Much could be done to improve the beauty of the location and modernize the rooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice, room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Excellent price for value rate
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcoming by the owner. Polite and friendly, professional customer service! Room was big enough for two to stay in. Breakfast was typical Moroccon brekkie which I really like. Facility was also gated to make your stay feel even more safe (If you are hesitant with security).
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner, Oisadan, is the soul of hospitality. We stayed two nights and the dinner each night was superb. We also enjoyed birdwatching from the terrace and strolling through the gardens in the adjoining palmeraie.
Maison d'Hôte ''J'' - Agdz - Bedroom

8.5 Excellent (38 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thanks a lot for the great talks, hints for Marocco and a perfect stay :) Small hint: Ask a local to get to the apartment :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay, a hidden gem! The host was extremely welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable. Beautiful views from the terrace and lovely room!
Cons: A little difficult to find, make sure you call the host on arrival who will help you locate the property. If you have a car, park in the Kasbar car park and will need to walk to the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: On a very short notice, we booked at Maison d'Hote J, no idea what to expect, and ended up in a truely fascinating place, an old and very carefully renovated huge house in an old part of the city with a view over the palm gardens. Breakfast was served on the terrace of that house even though it is separated a bit from the actual hotel. The owner, Ismail, is a very nice and knowledgeable person, and also helped us a lot as we had a problem with our car. In terms of accomodation, the best we have seen during our trip, unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the regio. When we come back to Marocco, we'll book at least two nights at that place.
Cons: --

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation and its host are part of an association for ecotourism. Therefore, the owner Abdullah offers tours into the Drâa valley to show the beautiful nature and how the inhabitants are using it to produce goods. Abdullah is very nice, friendly and also very helpful. He is open to answer every question that arises. We asked him questions about plants we have seen on our way through the valley to question we had about Islam and how he is living with his religion. The food we had with Abdullah was very delicious and a lot. There were always three courses. The room was simple with basic equipment, but offered all the we needed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly family running the place, great breakfast on the terrace, clean room
Cons: Google maps location was wrong for some reason so we ended up on a strange road, the place itself is at the Main Street which is actually pretty convenient when you are just passing through (to or from Merzouga)
