well designed and attractive for a relatively new hotel-full marks to the garden staff for blending the hotel into the surroundings.Should we have been allocated a room overlooking the car park side of the hotel(which many do) we may have been less satisfied - as we checked in we noticed brochures advertising a 3 day package , apparently of similar rooms with breakfast for less than we were to pay for 2 days, which rather took the shine from our stay. I would wish to hear comments from booking.com (a company which I have found first class in the many dealings I have had with them)
Location, service, friendly and helpful staff
The hotel is beautifully situated in luxuriant gardens with feature waterfalls from the hotel. Our rooms were nice and quiet with a lovely outlook, everything we needed and lots of space for hanging clothes etc. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked fine and if it had not I would have asked the hotel to help. Location within the town was very convenient and the restaurants in Tomar inexpensive. We thought it was seemed a shame that all the flowers inside the hotel were plastic but I assume they do not have a resident florist and the outdoor flowers are so nice it is probably a little unfair of us to criticise.
Room size and comfort. Facilities in the hotel were excellent.
My wife and I loved this hotel. It is lovely and spacious. It was a pleasure having dinner in the restaurant as the food and the service were excellent. We will recommend it to all of our friends.
A large hotel with large public areas and large rooms. It has all modcons, although not fully new. Very comfortable, in a good location to the older part of town and to the convent. We had a good meal in the restaurant, and used the pool. Staff were most helpful.
The hotel was extremely nice, we had a large room with a view of the river. The air conditioning was very welcome as it was unusually hot. The pool was excellent, with towels provided and it was never crowded. The breakfast buffet was very good and we are vegetarians, so we don't expect much to be available for us. The mini bar and hotel bar were reasonably priced but we did not use the restaurant. it is a very short walk into the old part of Tomar which we found to have plenty of bars and cafes and a pleasant square. The Templar connection is everywhere in Tomar and it was good to visit the Convent. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The spa prices were prohibitive which was a shame, because everything else was so reasonable.
It is an excellent location for see the old town of Tomar and all its main atractions. We did not find any 'expensive' restuarants but what we found was good. We were also surprised that eating and drinking was inexpensive.
Location, aspect, welcome, facilities and price
Ease of finding and easy access to downtown Reception had dated information about local restaurants
Spacious room, tasteful decor, excellent breakfast, quiet, very good location
Basic but good hotel. It offers value for money. Located in the center of Constancia, 10 minutes from the motorway. Good basis for day trips.
breakfast was terrible. no choise every day the same. there was bad smell in the village.
All was nice
The very central location; the breakfast, simple, but nice and complete; the staff, polite, welcoming and always attentive. The bathroom could be renovated, and the shower cabin more user friendly, especially for children. But conditions are quite acceptable.
Clean comfortable room, friendlyness of the staff. No.
the new hotel is very good,
The room should be more clean.
The hotel is in a lovely location in a park. The staff were all excellent. The town is an excellent place to be in and the historical sights are of course fantastic.
good breakfast. Great hosts. computer availability.comfortable bedroom nice quiet area the shower needs some attention- no holder for shower head. soapholder broken
The value for the money. The location near the old city. Because of the construction in the area around the htel, it was difficult to get right up to the front door, especailly with luggage.. I realize you don't want people to walk away with your keys, but the big block of wood at the end is a little ridiculous.
The breakfast starts late(8am) and the hotel didn´t present a solution for the need of a early breakfast, as i was working; I had a problem with the water wich was not promptly or properly solved; the tv was old, really small and had few channels; the internet signal was very slow.
Welcoming staff. Convenient restaurant. Perfect location for visiting the town of Tomar, yet with a rural feel, on the island park in the town centre.
The location of the hotel in an attractive park setting. The rooms were quite dark and depressing
The setting is beuatiful. It is so unfortunate that the owners have chosen not to keep this property up to its potential. The accomodation was extremely worn, breakfast cheaply provided, lighting terrible, not particularly clean, not exactly unfriendly service, more like absolutely minimal service with no warnth.
An old-fashioned lodge set in the middle of a park, on an island, but right in town. Friendly, welcoming staff. Easy parking (once you get there). This is an interesting and different kind of place. Hallway lighting is annoying (shuts off too fast).
The price and general location of the hotel The one and only bridge , the property was on an island, was out of order. We were not informed of this. We had to park a distance from the hotel and the staff had to help with the luggage.
Hotel was simple, but nice. Nothing fancy, but it completely met our expectations and looked so much more interesting than the huge bland hotel nearby. It's location in a Park on the edge of the historic downtown area of Tomar was excellent. Only complaint was that our morning was marred by leaf blowing and mowing the lawn of the lovely garden surrounding the hotel. But, really, it has to be done sometime, right?
The restaurant is wonderfull, the rooms are good and have a nice view. Staff manners
Very good position near old city
Was central for my needs, very quiet, service in the restaurant very good, selections for breakfast good, found all staff to be helpfull and pleasent. When i visit Tomar again i would not hesitate to use the hotel. N/A
The hotel was within walking distance of many sites. We drove to the Convento de Cristo but it also could have been walked. The friendliness of the reception desk people was also appreciated.
Pleasant staff. Comfortable rooms. Great value. Good Location.
Nice location! Close to the Castle.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was kept clean Parking is a big problem
Nice and peaceful and not full off tourists. Nice rooms
Continental breakfast content was satisfactory Very disappointed, arrived during very wet Friday afternoon and as the restaurant was closed with no reason given, we had to walk around the town to find dinner, getting very wet and fed-up! Gym and sauna were also closed. Bathroom was filthy with black and orange mould on the grouting around the bath. At breakfast time the chambermaid was called to go for rolls for our breakfast.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable and was a good stop-over on our way up to the north of Portugal. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.
good position for travelling around in the area
the hotel is located near some industrial sites with sulphoric emissions. The smell all night was obnoxious.
* A calm and nice hotel *Chose the hotel because of the location to Golegã. Was disapointed that the information on internet was incorrect. It was at least 25 km to Golegã! *Had some problem with the toilet, with the seat and wasn´t flushing properly. * A very hard x-trabed
Staff were very friendly and tried to help whenever possible. The restaurant was poorly used. We had 2 meale there, on both occasions the meat was undercooked. The second time we returned the meal and aske for the meat to be cooked through, it was but the potatoes and rice which were served on the plate with the meat had not been kept warm and when returned were unedible.
