Pros: Perfect! Very good breakfast and dinner! Lovely elektrical blanket!
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: Beautifull old hacienda building. Very helpfull staff. Good healthy menu served in the evening. Nice breakfast with fruits, yoghurt, juice, coffee, tea, bread, marmalade and eggs. they have electric blankets to warm your bed. with good weather you have views at the Cotopaxi, right from the property. Friendly owner who is a mountain guide himself. He can give good advise about almost anything concerning south America, he really wants you to have a good travel experience.
Cons: It can get cold in the room in the evenings (but of course the bed is warm because of the electric blankets, so that covers it). The shower gets warm but not hot.
Pros: Family owned Hotel, well maintained, great hosts , perfect for an outdoor experience, minutes away from Cotopaxi volcano, and Quilotoa Lake, please see the pictures... breathtaking sightseeing very near this hotel.
Pros: Excellent location. Decent rooms. Pretty wholesome breakfast. Staff was friendly. The dogs were really fun to play with. Rooms also had a nice little fireplace that the staff was kind enough to light and that was pleasant to fall asleep to.
Cons: Dinner was pricey (approx. $15 per person) for what you got. Garden and areas around the hotel itself felt a little bit neglected. The dining room/social area in the back (which we didn't use) was still untidy by the time we left, with bits of celebratory decor left lying around from some party that guests had previously had. Hot water in the shower seemed intermittent - one day I got a full hot shower, the next day my hot water ran out halfway thru.
Pros: Warm and clean. Food was nice. Especially the chocolate pancake.
Cons: They ran out of fire wood, it’s up a very long bumpy track and hard to find.
Pros: It's a romantic place with great staff, nice rooms, bed heating... We'll be back.
Pros: We loved Adrian and his hospitality! The food was incredible and nothing beats hanging out with 2 gorgeous St Bernards and getting kisses from llamas. The rooms were quaint and the staff obviously thought of everything (even electric blankets!). We recommend Cuello de Luna to all!
Pros: Everything went really great! The staff is really helpful and accommodating. The property is real close to the Volcano park entrance. The breakfast is good. Very secure area. The BEST thing is the electric blankets!!! The nights there get very cold.
Cons: The room didn't have any heater/air con which makes perfect sense giving the location.Still it's a bit chilly in the room. I guess there's nothing you can do about. Not a big deal providing you have an electric blanket on every bed.
Pros: If you want to be in a beautiful rural area, with an amazing view on the cotopaxi; this is your place! Also the hosts are the warmest people you can imagine, they took us to the supermarket to get groceries and to the bus on the day that we left. Last but not least; the accomodation is spacious and well equipped!
Cons: It’s not easy to find (that’s also a plus, because it makes you feel being in a special place), so it’s very important to read the instructions you receive from Jo and Daniel :)!
Pros: A spotlessly clean cabin in a great location with views of 3 volcanoes. It is ideally located for exploring the Cotopaxi National Park and the Quilotoa loop. The kitchen is fully equipped for a multi-day stay. Jo and Daniel greeted and treated us like family with plenty of suggestions for exploring the area. The parking is safe and secure, the setting is beautiful. Our only regret is we couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended.
Cons: Everything was great.

Cons: Sometimes there are hot water issues but they were quickly resolved.
Pros: Very central location around restaurants, stores, the park. Very clean, hot showers, comfy bed, big rooms. Full breakfast with eggs, coffee, fruits and fresh pressed juices Super friendly and helpful staff. Limited English though- for me I don’t mind as I speak enough Spanish to get the gist of what they are saying. Cheap!
Pros: Full breakfast eggs fruit smoothie crossants marmalade coffee cocoa tea ECT. Excellent. affordable. fast laundry they were able to do it overnight before we left in the morning. Nice rooms, clean. hot shower, warm rooms. Excellent restaurant a few steps away ( El gringa y la Gorda). Close to shops and excellent cafe and dessert spot next door.
Cons: Excellent stay! No negatives. Stayed both at start and finish of quilotoa loop stored bags.
Pros: Seems like a family business, the owner goes beyond any expectation to help. Great location, 1,50 usd by taxi from the terminal (if you have suitcases) or a small 15 mins walk.
Pros: Great location, only one minute's walk from Parque Vicente Leon, the centre of Latacunga, with shops and restaurants all around, although it's about a 15 minute walk, partly uphill, from the bus station. The staff were very friendly and courteous, the room, and whole hotel, was very modern and spotlessly clean, the wi-fi is excellent and the breakfast was great, and very filling. Also a great shower with plenty of hot water. At night it was perfectly quiet, although see my comment in the negatives about that.
Cons: Although the whole hotel was beautifully quiet from about 10pm, the family wakes up early, before 7am, to serve breakfast and you can clearly hear them talking, as well as early rising guests there. My earplugs managed to block out this noise, though, so I was able to sleep well. Also, there was no desk or table in the room for writing or computer work but I mentioned this to the manager and he brought me one.
Cons: I asked the receptionist if there was a laundry nearby. He told me that he could wash everything for a charge of 3$. I gave him a jumper specifically saying that it needed cold washing and was not possible to tumble dry it. I found my jumper shrunk and the hostel refused to refund me the money. Also, they misdirected me several times when asked for advice on how to reach and visit the surroundings.

Ambato is 35 km from La Posada del Turista, while Quilotoa is 32 km from the property.
Pros: Free bag storage for the quilotoa loop and information night are very convenient. Victor Hugo is very friendly!
Cons: Rooms were pretty noisy, heard things I did not want to hear in the neighbour's room
Pros: Victor is so helpful and gives great info about doing the Quilotoa Loop and booked my hostel for me at a cheaper price than online. You can store your luggage for free here too. Rooms are basic, but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great location - easy walking distance to the bus terminal
Pros: Good value for a private room
Cons: Most electrical sockets didn't work.
Pros: Friendly and knowledge owner, happy to help us with our day trip and hike.
Pros: Very friendly staff that speaks English. Great location and also clean
Cons: It is all a bit old, but for this price it is more than perfect. Even more important is was clean.
Pros: Mostly value for money, not to far from the busstation, a bit away from the centre. Victor is a great guy, who loves to give advice to his guests. Every night he has an information moment about places you can visit around. The free luggage storage is a nice bonus.
Cons: Not much space in the doirms for your luggage.
Pros: The owner is very nice and explains everything you need to know to go to the lake! (Even has an explanation for everyone staying at 8pm everyday!) Also holds your luggage if needed! The location is close to the bus station and to the center! Great stay!

Pros: Although I got the cold shoulder from one of the employees, the older gent working in the mornings was very friendly. The location near the main plaza of Latacunga is probably the best part about this place.
Cons: They have some sewage issues, at least on the 3rd floor where I stayed. My room smelled atrocious! Also, the walls are not very sound-proof, so you will definitely hear your neighbor's TV!
With a stay at Hotel Endamo in Latacunga, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Río Cunuyacu and Monserrat Mills Cultural Center. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Pros: Vibe and hosts
Pros: Staff extremely friendly and accommodating - no trouble leaving luggage while we hiked Quilotoa Loop. Excellent Restaurant on-site
Pros: The staff were very helpful booking tours and giving us advice and directions
Cons: No outside window
Pros: Quiet room in the back part of the hotel away from the street. Buffet breakfast. Kept our bags at no cost while we hiked the Quilotoa loop. 15 min walk to bus station.
Pros: The staff was really helpful and attentive. They helped me with everything I needed. The breakfast was ok. The location was ok as well.
Cons: The isolation of my room was not good. Even though it was facing the back yard and was on the top floor, it was noisy inside of the room. However, I was able to sleep ok with earplugs. It was bit cold in the room.
Pros: Wonderful hotel for this small town. We enjoyed the dining room--clean, well lit, well appointed, very good food and service. Had dinner there the first night and it was really good. Breakfasts were also excellent with great juice, fruit, pastries, etc. Well beyond what I expected for the area. Staff was very helpful / attentive; we made good use of the parking lot two doors down, since we had a rental car. In sum, I would highly recommend this place.
Cons: Bathroom in our room was a bit small / compact, though it had a wonderful shower. My daughter complained that her shower in her own room was a bit "anemic", but not a big. Very minor challenges; we thoroughly enjoyed this place!
Pros: Good location, near city centre. 5 minutes walk from the centre plaza. Parking convenietly. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and the furniture were very complete. The bed was comfortable, we all slept well overnight.
Cons: Nothing !
Pros: Location close to the main square Very helpful staff Very clean and new appearing
Cons: Coffee wasnt great at breakfast Made for 7 am and left to cool Safe tricky to operate but staff helped us
Pros: Room was clean with a comfortable bed. They also safely stored our luggage free of charge while he did the Quilotoa loop.

Pros: Charming hotel/hostel on great location, friendly staff and a fair breakfast
Pros: Stayed here as the petrol crisis riots started and the staff kept letting me extend my stay. This place is a 4* hotel but the basement floor is a hostel I booked a private room and had a 8 bed dorm all to myself.
Cons: My room had a sky light into a court yard. Not sure if other hostel rooms would hace any natural light. Not a very social atmosphere
Pros: the staff was wonderful and very helpful with all of my questions and held my bags while I went to the Lagoon! A super great value very clean and a beautiful restaurants in the entrance. Good free breakfast.
Cons: There was a conference going on until 11 p.m. at night there was quite loud it was kind of interesting to watch.
Pros: Position and big rooms
Cons: Creepy atmosphere
Pros: We could store our lugage for free
Cons: A bit to quiet, no speaking English
Pros: There was an issue with the water so we were directed to a new hotel but the staff was very helpful and accommodating and they setup the new room in advance.
Pros: Very good value. Comfortable bed, big room.
Pros: Like most people have said the cheap rooms are down underneath the hotel so it's dark down there but the rooms are comfortable. The rooftop is nice to hang out in and the breakfast is good. They stored our bags for free while we did the Quilotoa loop and let us shower and hang out while we waited for our night bus. The staff are great and helpful. The location is good there is food around and it's about a 15 min walk to the bus station.
Pros: Great location, close to the bus terminal and the square Lovely building
Pros: Very nice and clean hostel in the center of the city, 10-15' min walking from the Terminal. Polite and helpful staff. Tea offered at our room. Spacious rooms, very tasty breakfast ! Totally recommended !
Cons: I stayed in two different rooms. One didn t have heating so we were a bit cold when outside the bed. No hair dryer
With a stay at Villa de Tacvnga Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Latacunga, steps from House of the Marquis of Miraflores and within a 10-minute walk of Monserrat Mills Cultural Center. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Planning an event in Latacunga? This hotel has facilities measuring 1292 square feet (120 square meters), including a conference center. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: A very amazing colonial hotel in the very center of Latacunga, just 5 minutes walk from the main place. Room immaculate, very clean with all facilities, hot water shower (not a common facility in Ecuador), and the owner Nelson very helpful for setting and organizing tours and excursions in the sorrounding countryside, such as Quilotoa Lagoon and Cotopaxi National Park. A very nice staying in Latacunga, probably the best place where staying in the centre of town.
Pros: Right in the center of Latacunga. Beautiful rooms (I got upgraded for free as things were a little quiet) - a good place to decompress after three days of hiking the Quilotoa loop.
Pros: The hotel preserves some of the most antique architectures in the city.
Pros: The property was nice. The staff was very attentive and have wonderful personalities.
Cons: It was very difficult to find the hotel — no signage outside of the hotel.
Pros: Probably high standards for this smaller Ecuadorian town, but not what most Europeans or Americans are used to.
Pros: They have soap and towels
Cons: I got a room in the basement which is not what I'd expected. It wasn't the cleanest and it had a bad musty smell the kind that can linger on your clothes a bit. No windows and quite small. At night it could get quite cold but that's mainly because the room next door had a hole up to the ground. The staff were helpful however often not present when I needed to enter the door. So I'd often have to wait for ages and then just end up using the main entrance that guests use. The different entrances could be better sign posted because I ended up using the main entrance which was hosting a wedding and I strolled through that with my backpack.
Pros: The room & bed were comfortable
Cons: 1. There was no hot water. I’d booked this hotel after a hike to have a warm shower and uninterrupted sleep, so was very disappointed. When I was shown the room, I was told to wait 5-6mins for hot water. I tried for 20mins, including trying the cold setting. I tried again in the morning with no luck. On complaint to the manager, he said the taps were reversed, and that I should have tried the blue side. When I explained I’d tried that, he said his staff probably forgot to put the gas on... (twice?) 2. The walls were very thin - I was woken by the room next door chatting. 3. I went downstairs to head out for dinner, but the front door was locked. There were also six people outside trying to get in. I couldn’t open the door (it looked padlocked although in hindsight I suspect I just needed to lift the iron pegs). There was no one at reception to help, so I hunted around the area, only finding one guest. Instead I tried phoning the hotel. The reception desk rang, and after it rang out it was forwarded to a mobile. The receptionist then came out and let me out. The people trying to get in had gone, but the receptionist wasn’t worried as he said there was another entrance around the side that they would find.
Pros: Our suite was beautiful.
Pros: The hotel is situated in the centre of Latacunga in the walking distance from the bus terminal (10-15 min.). The room was relatively small but clean and provided with a comfortable bed. The window is oriented to the patio, which makes the room a little bit dark on one side, but very calm for sleeping on the other side:-). The staff was very friendly (especially one man who recommended us (and help to organise) a tour to Cotopaxi). The traditional breakfast was very good.
Cons: We stayed 3 nights and no cleaning service appeared.

Pros: New hotel very modern and clean Across the road a good dinner/restaurant
Pros: Parking is good.
Cons: Every night and morning they started insence and it was very strong, made it impossible to sleep. They charge whatever they want execesivly. In my rooms toillet there was mold every where in the walls and roof.
Pros: Clean room, helpful staff.
Cons: The hotel itself was not loud, but we could hear EVERY movement outside our door.
Pros: The friendly staff and the hotel is very clean. The room was also very spacious and it was centrally located in the city of Latacunga. The room service were excellent. Our bath tub didn’t work and the staff immediately changed our room.
Cons: Not air condition/heater to regulate the temperature but we still slept very well!
Pros: Good location, staff very helpful, good safe parking
Cons: Breakfast could be improved

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: a centrally located, clean comfortable hotel with onsite parking
Pros: Nothing extraordinary!
Cons: No staff at reception desk most of the time. Booking on line, they send you to the old hotel. The restau at that location is only for the breakfast where one staff does the cooking, serving and reception at the same time. The room had no exterior window and there was no good aeration. The fridge had some left over from the previous client! Nobody spoke English or French.

Pros: We had a great stay with Marcelo and his family. Very friendly people! We went on a tour to Cotopaxi and Quilotoa, it was very nice!
Pros: The room was simple and nice. The kitchen had limited things in it but it was still great to have. They helped us organise a guide to the refugio and the glacier from the hostal for $60 USD for 2 people which wasn't too bad (catching the bus to the turn off and negotiating would have been $40-50 USD).
Cons: Having a small fridge in the kitchen would have been helpful, although they let us store our perishables in their own fridge. Like most things in the area it is pretty expensive for what you get.
Pros: The owners are very generous, they are helping Venezuelan refugees settle in equador, but don't worry, it's not a refugee camp, it's a very nice place with: -Comfortable bed -WiFi in the room -Big kitchen -garden -hot shower The staff can prepare meals for you (we didn't try but it looked delicious) The owner gave us a free ride to the entrance of the park where we found a camioneta to drive us to quitopaxi(35$). Be aware, they have two locations on mapsme for the hotel, the one with the bunk bed icon is right, the one on the highway with building icon is wrong. Location on Google maps is Wright.
Pros: Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Connected us to great guide to Cotapaxi (Anjelica and driver Alex)
Cons: Hard to find. Noisy from other rooms.
Pros: Bed was cozy, shower was hot. The breakfast was really good, freshly prepared for a fair price. Marcello was lovely- he organized bikes for us and took us there the next morning and picked us up afterwards. The next day he brought us to the bus in Lasso, making sure we get directly to Baños.
Cons: The dogs' barking was a bit annoying. One of the dogs (the tiniest) even bit us- not that it hurt though.
Pros: Beds were really comfortable.
Cons: Bathroom was pretty small, but still clean. There aren't a lot of good places to eat close by. We ended up driving into Latacunga for dinner.
Pros: The beds are really good, so comfortable
Cons: All was ok
Pros: Many thanks to awesome always smiling señor Marcelo!) He made this trip
Cons: Little nasty dogs always barking and trying to bite.
Pros: Good value for money. The cabins are in Lasso, which is close to the parks and volcanoes. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: For the price, things were just right.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Loved the old property and the way it has been preserved. It's beautiful and charming. Plenty of hot water!
Cons: The service was lacking. The front desk struggled to provide assistance with booking travel and the restaurant service was very slow. We stood for a while waiting to be acknowledged in the restaurant for a while before someone approached us. While the property is beautiful and feels like a classic estate, the surrounding neighborhood is very run down.
Pros: Location was great and it was a nice historic building and grounds were beautiful. Bed linens were good. Special dinner for New Years was excellent - salmon filet cooked perfect and properly. Hot water for shower was quicker than they suggested.
Cons: Our room was huge but the room had many spiders and flies. Dead small cockroach behind the couch that was not difficult to see or sweep. The wooden floor was beautiful but every area of it squeaked and felt like we would fall through. It needs some maintenance. Main area was chilly, the fireplaces didn’t adequately heat but maybe they were short staffed. They would start the fire but not check to see if it actually took off. Other than Patricio in the restaurant and one other the staff was not friendly and gave us no information on events or dinner/breakfast schedule. It was New Year’s Eve so maybe they didn’t want to be there. Water in bathroom had a bad odor but got a bit better after running it. We were disappointed, for the cost we expected better accommodations.
Pros: Absolutely beautiful building and surroundings well situated to visit Quilotoa and Cotopaxi
Cons: Old rooms and bathrooms not to the standart of its rating
Pros: Extraordinary welcoming by owner and her family. This property, in its all engaging complexities in multiple comfort zones and artistic decoratives, is by far the most satisfying accommodation experienced by my wife and I in our many years of world travel. And then add the excellent breakfast and dinner options. My photos aid in telling the story.
Pros: Super nice rooms with wood fire places lit for you every night, beautiful garden, excellent staff.
Pros: The Hacienda is a large, historical site near Cotopaxi National Park and the Quilotoa Laguna. We truly enjoyed our oversized room complete with King bed and fireplace. The restaurant was good and offered a complete menu. Our waiter, Cecil, had provided service to the Hacienda for 36 years and was very welcoming, attentive and proud.
Cons: Although the hacienda was over 400 years old, we were somewhat disappointed that the grounds and the building exterior were somewhat run down. Although beautiful, our room had a sewer smell during the entire stay.
Pros: The place is fantastik nice. Old Hacienda in antik style. Fierplace at bedroom. Wery good

Pros: Great little hotel to stage out of for climbing Cotopaxi
Pros: Great cozy place, with excellent hang out areas, inside and outside. Cozy room. English speaking staff, very helpful and caring. Playing with dogs and lama Junito. Good breakfast + food. On the entrance road towards Cotopaxi entrance. Got help with arranging our tour to Cotopaxi park + driving to Saquisili marked. And Fernando ensured we got on the right bus directly to Banos. Enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Fernando the manager and host was excellent and very attentive. Always ready to help. The food was also a lot better that be expected and lots of vegetarian options were offered Location excellent. With great view of Cotopaxi
Cons: A bit of noise from the road but that can't be helped. Rustic location but part of the charm
Pros: The owners are extremely friendly Food is delicious (and big portions!) Hot (very hot) showers and sparkling clean facilities The house and the rooms are nicely decorated. A home feeling atmosphere
Pros: We stayed here for one night but words can not describe the experience. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay great. Also, this is one of the few places you can get food before Cotopaxi and it was worth every penny. To add more zing to our perfect experience they had a llama!!! The only tip I would recommend is to bring cash! They charge extra 5 percent for cc processing.
Cons: The unfortunate 5 percent credit card processing fee.
Pros: Very warm welcome after climbing cotopaxi, delicious food, nice room and a awesome view of cotopaxi. We highly recommend this lodge!
Pros: Very friendly., open and welcome, comfortable and easy communicate.
Pros: Clean, great food, super attentive staff,& great location by the entrance to the park.
Pros: Its nearby the cotopaxi national park. The owner is really helpful with getting you yours or showing you around. He called us from our room to show us cotopaxi when it was finally visible. The food is also really nice here! Sandwiches especially.
Cons: Its colder in winter but they give you six layers of blankets.
Pros: I recommend this place for sure! The location is perfect and easy to access if you want to visit the National Park of Cotopaxi. If you want recommendation and help to organize your visit, they are really helpful. If you also want, you can take a guide from their place (that’s what we did and we like it), good price! This place is run by the family, it’s really casual, comfy and your heart feel warm! The food is also delicious. We stayed 3 days/2 nights, we ate there all the time and we like everything. The food is also at a good price, big portion! The place and the rooms are super clean and you have towels, soap, lots of sheets to stay warm during the night (can be cold at night). They put fresh flowers everywhere; so cute! In the backyard, table, chairs to relaxe and Juanito the Lama and dogs. I feed Juanito the Lama and pet him; just making me feel even more in the family! I like everything from my stay there! Thank you again for everything ❤️

The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at the accommodation. Ambato is 41 km from Balcones del Río Hotel.
Pros: The owners were wonderful, very accommodating and helpful. The bed was big and comfortable and the food was delicious. It's a little outside of the city center so it was quieter which was nice.
Cons: The hot water only lasted enough for one shower. That was our one and only complaint. This place is still worth staying at because of the excellent hosts!
Pros: Very helpful. Owner drove us to the bus station and gave us all the info we needed. Nice breakfast, juice, fruit, eggs, bread and jam, choice of tea, chocolate, coffee. Parks and playgrounds in front. Only 10 min walk to busy center.
Pros: Very helpful and friendly, we feel at home. Excellent breakfast, nice and clean rooms with Cotopaxi view. Very sweet owners. We could leave our backpacks while doing Quilotoa loop. Also very generous with transport to terminal.
Pros: The owners were lovely people and woke up for our 4am checkout to say goodbye. Our toilet blocked on arrival so they quickly moved us to another room. They speak no English and we speak little Spanish but we managed. Room and hygiene was ok but not the best we have stayed in. Location is the main reason we would not stay here again, it felt very out of town, we got taxis. We only stayed here one night and wouldn’t have stayed longer as there were other places closer to town that we could have booked. The hotel was outdated compared to other hotels we saw in our three weeks in Ecuador when we visited in March and there was construction outside the hotel too (looks like they are building an overpass for people to cross) so quite noisy and people working on that being able to look straight into our room.
Pros: The owner is sweet and tries to make things comfortable considering the issues going on in the location. The room was clean and the beds comfortable with decent linens. There were drawers, a tiny closet, and surfaces on which to put things which is a plus. The breakfast could be described as ample with flaky rolls, in spite of their serving ONLY powdered instant coffee we have ever had in Ecuador! I chose chocolate powder instead for my hot milk...
Cons: The location was terrible!! Beware at least for the present. We relied too heavily on the glowing reviews of other travelers and their comments about the proximity to the park and the owners dropping them off at the bus station... Turns out to be in an outlying neighborhood, and the little park is now drained of its lake water and an overpass is being built RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the house. Also the house itself is under construction. There was not much noise at night except for loud music across the street which, upon our request, was quelled by the owner. This is all unfortunate for this family who runs kind of a homestay atmosphere place. Party venue in the restaurant downstairs, so could be loud if booked out for local shindigs. Bathroom has no towel racks, hooks, or even TP holder. Good hot water, though! People are sweet but I recommend staying downtown!
Pros: We had a great night’s stay at Balcones Del Rio before starting the Quilotoa Loop hike. We got great advice about the trek from the owner and were able to store our bags securely with them. The whole hotel was sparkling clean and our room was comfortable and nicely appointed, with a private bathroom. The highlight for us was a generous breakfast with fresh berry smoothies, tea/coffee, croissants with jam, ham and cheese rolls and two eggs each. What fuel for a hike! And on top of everything, the owners drove us to the bus terminal after breakfast for the start of the loop. We will definitely return.

Pros: The property is wonderful!! The peace, the host, everything very calm and the rooms very neat!!
Pros: Our mornings started off with a traditional healthy Ecuadorian meal in the mornings with freshly made juice. We were waited on by friendly staff (Viviana) that were very accommodating. David the owner was always available to help us get our days off to a great start ensuring a great experience at Sacharuna Lodge. The views were amazing day or night pending weather. There were a multitude of activities to do at the lodge or taxi to nearby Cotopaxi and parks. We originally booked for two nights but quickly realized we would need another night to do a few more of the activities we wanted to do. We enjoyed visiting nearby hot springs, Cotopaxi, and horseback riding at the lodge. We appreciated the bonfires in the evenings and the fireplace in the lodge.
Cons: It can be a challenge to find not knowing the area. I would say come dressed for mountain climate. It gets cold in the evenings depending on the season. (The hot water bottles would have been nice to have each evening to warm the beds up.) The water pressure for the showers needs to improve.
Pros: Beautiful surroundings, nice couple that receives you. Good for hiking, horseriding or let your kids just discover the hacienda.
Cons: It's a hacienda with guest rooms, not a hosteria. So not the most luxurious or clean. And prepare for the cold (that's when rainy season).

Pros: fine service on meals, lovely fires in fireplace, some country roads to walk, few people staying the night so no crowds
Cons: no horseback riding, not much else to do at hacienda, for high price not so sure it is a value for the money compared to haciendas in Otavalo area
Pros: Staff were excellent and accommodating. Location was excellent for our hiking needs. Food was very good.
Cons: Shower was funky and was leaking.
Pros: The service and Quality of the staff, activity availability and food were impeccable and excellent... the owner is always there to see to it!!
Pros: The location.Fabulous views of Cotapaxi. True hacienda living. Horse rides walks cooking classes. Beautiful rooms. Lovely staff
Pros: Everybody was so nice and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, I caught a little bug, and didn't eat some of it. But, I enjoyed it anyway, the company was always good, the decor was beautiful - all in all, a wonderful experience.
Cons: The only thing was that it was a little cold in our room, even though we kept the fire going. The staff was nice enough to bring us 2 space heaters, so that helped.
