Wonderful hotel. Just stunning. Beautiful rooms. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely staff. Two beautiful lounge rooms and a bar. The breakfast room was beautiful. I took photos of every room! Breakfast (inclues champagne!) was well worth the price. Lovely fresh breads and cheeses. They also served hot food. The hike up the grand staircase with luggage was a small price to pay. Would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic hotel in great setting. Rooms are beautiful. You could just imagine monks living there at one time. The staff were awful. Miserable and unhelpful. Did not listen to any complaints.
Location in the town of Beaugency, great for an evening walk. Hotel was unusual which the children liked. Rooms could do with refurbishment. Rooms setting could be a little spooky for younger children.
The incredible sense of history of the place as a former abbey, our room was large and beautifully decorated with antiques. It felt like we were staying in a museum. There was no elevator and the stairs were very worn down. Of course they were the original stairs and had been used over the centuries but they were also dangerous in spots. This issue could be delat with by installing a small elevator just to get the baggage up and down and a sign asking guests to watch their step.
Very nice old world appeal-we took photo's of the distintive hallway and staircase.
Very unusual, very interesting experience. It has a different kid of charm and character that you don't find in normal hotel, even compared to another Chateau.
Hotel in a historic environment, in the hart of the Loire region A hotel with a lot of potentiel that can be a very charming hotel. At this moment it needs a freshing up ( especially the outside : garden, painting, main entrance,...). Once inside it is ok although the bathroom is also rather old. Personnaly I did not have any problem, but the reception staff only knows the french language.
Nicley situated on the River Loire, lovely medieval feel to the area
Old interesting place Beds are a bit soggy
The abbaye itself is beautiful and the ambience is very nice; it has an interesting history. The staff is indifferent. The breakfast is overpriced, but it is very difficult to find anything else in the neighborhood.
Location to the motorway. Just your average lodge type hotel, ideal for a stopover point, but nothing special and rooms are overcrowded with furniture.
What a pleasure to find a French hotel with comfortable rooms, well lit, soft pillows, lift that works, staff who care, wide corridors so that one can carry a suitcase, a grab handle in the bath, a mirror in the bedroom and enough space to walk around the bed. A complimentary bottle of evian water in the room and tea and coffee available 24/7. We travel through Orleans often and will return to this hotel time and again.
Great bed!, the family room is perfect when travelling with children, two connected rooms....
close to highway and restaurants - clean rooms - breakfast - reception 24/24 + free the or coffee - excellent quality/price - free wifi and internet access
only stop one night had a lovely time would stop again
some staff were helpfull some were rather non plus
Rooms reasonable (thank goodness for air conditioning!), bed good, bathroom fair, receptionist on second visit (night of 24 Aug) very pleasant, breakfast good. More expensive than other hotels in near vicinity, receptionist on first night had no English at all (night of 15 Aug)
This hotel answerred exactly to my demand. Centrally placed towards the city of Orleans, the staff is very nice and the restaurant is good.
Good location close to the motorway. Nice rooms and good breakfast with helpful staff. Would recommend. Have stopped at several All Seasons and now not quite the value for money they were.
Good location, close to motorway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant served good food at reasonable prices.
Good site on the river, easy access to local restaurants. We were there for a single overnight stay and only met two of the staff, both were friendly and helpful Considering the rating and price for the hotel we were not impressed by the room. However many of the previous hotel reviews had been quite positive so it could be we were just unlucky in the room allocation – room 101. It was sparse and noisy, and the walls not very effective in noise reduction.
Quiet location, gardens down to a Loire footpath , comfortable good size room and a fine breakfast.
Clean modern rooms and a very good breakfast served by pleasant staff. Plenty of parking for car.
Very Pleased. The staff is nice and easy going.
The Orleans Parc was like finding a little gem on a jouney break! It's lovely. The gentleman at reception was lovely and has been more than helpful in finding a dropped wallet! The gardens looking out over the river are superb and a great surprise being so near the motorway! Nice restaurants nearby made this hotel one to return to.
Nice location but thats all No proper bar or restaurant facilities
Clean and comfortable A bit pricey for what it is. Its a 50 euro hotel not a 77euro
Efficient and cheap. En route. Plenty of choice Rooms a little small, otherwise excelelnt
The room The service in the restaurant was very poor and the steak served cold then reheated in a microwave.
The staff were efficient and helpful. The location was convenient. The rooms were unbearably hot and there was no means of cooling them down. A fan would have been useful. Coffee and tea making facilities were scant, Plastic mini cups were almost a waste of time. and only one useable teabag, the other being a mint one, yuck.
Friendly and efficient staff, clean room, modern electric appliances, good quality food, ease of access to motorway,
Staff were welcoming and friendly and the service in the restaurant was also good. Parking was secure.
New comfortable beds, large flat screen TV, very clean, excellent management and staff, good restaurant, very friendly welcome. Great meal, great breakfast and an excellent night sleep !!!! Usual situation of these hotels situated in industrial estates but convenient for motorways !
Secure parking and comfortable room. I've stayed here before, but this time the retaurant was fully booked and ther lounge area unavaiable as it had been block booked by a group. Rather disapointing as we were looking forward to using these facilities.
Room very satisfactory for overnight stay. Also included coffee/tea making facility and hair-drier !! Nothing
Clean hotel, good breakfast, friendly service.
Very comfortable night spent at this hotel. Even though it was not busy the restaurant delivered a very good meal.
Staff was friendly Bathroom smelled horrible. Bad ventilation.
a bit old fashioned. Needs some refurnishing.
It had nice rooms and the food was good.
The hotel was very conveniently situated. A very enjoyable visit.
Hotel Staff was very helpful and friendness. The room was very clean and includes good bathroom (WC was separated) with big tab. Nothing.
Nice friendly staff - gift for small children on arrival. Relaxed setting. Pool table and Xbox for older children - Excellent. Pool was not as big and the photos had made it look - small and cold
This is not a renovated hotel and the beds are not that confortable....
Reception staff was helpful; we got a cottage at a better location than the one we first got (close to parking and road) when we asked for it. Cleanliness could be better, cottage equipped only basically.
We stayed here in a cottage for one night with a toddler as a stop from London to Montpellier. It was great to be able to put the toddler to bed upstairs and then cook ourselves dinner downstairs without disturbing her. The room was clean. The swimming pool was clean and warm for a post-breakfast dip in the morning before another day in the car.
Nice setup and facilities. Bathroom moldy.
The children enjoyed the golf facilities
Outdoor pool,if small was nice. Luckily the hotel was not busy. The attached Spa was not included, despite the feeling that it was from the website. Cottage rooms are not really for 4 people, but 1 night was fine. Too much noise caused by tiled floor!
We felt that it met our needs as a pure stop-over location. It was handy for the autoroute, had a pool and dining facilities.
Cottage was a good size for a family of 4
The food was excellent in restaurant, views across golf course, bedrooms and price of overnight stay. The slow service in the restaurant.
easilly accessible location, staff OK food very common and restricted breakfast offer (few over cooked pastries and pre-packed cheese - pretty disappointing). open wine of very poor quality. very uncomfortable mattress.
The environment and the staff politeness. Not to get my room at my arrival time, 1 p.m, even if it was precised on the booking receipt.
Comfortable hotel, good breakfast, and the swimming pool very welcome at the end of a long day on the road. None
the staff were very friendly and the location is excellent
Helpful and thoughtful staff at this basic but comfortable and well situated Logis
Very clean, new room in a small house behind the main building, well located near Châteaux, restaurant across the street is excellent. Swimming pool available, very quiet
Although staff spoke little English, they were very helpful and accommodating.
Good location for visting the chateaux to the east of the Loire Valley. Good bedroom and shower room and appreciated the swimming pool. Breakfast was reasonably priced. Bracieux had a good selection of restaurants, all walkable from the Logis. I would recommend Le Rendez-vous des Gourmets but you must book in August. No tea or coffee facilities or fridge in room but they did have a communal fridge available which was helpful.
Large room, freedom, quiet, secure parking & good breakfast.
Very clean, nice size rooms. Excellent bike rental at extremely good price. Very VERy uncomfortable bed. Worst nights sleep in years. Furniture and decor very spartan and drab.
Good location, in town so could get about on foot, lovely small French town, found chocolate shop open till 7pm. A few places to eat in town. Five of us in one room with mattress on floor for youngest. Dated and not at all flashy but functional and cheap, and a good stopover for the chateaux.
Staff sympathy was the high point. The garden is also very nice and has many types of fruit trees, giving the possibility to taste them directly from the tree. In the site they mention that hotel localization is around 7 km from the Chambourd Castel, but this is about 17 km. They present the Hotel as a Castle but this is more a farm like house, very hard to find by car.
The garden has a small pond with fishes, which is not fenced. So it's unsafe to let small children play in this garden unattended.
The room was very clean and comfortable. It took ages to get any hot water for the shower.
The manager suggested we could park our 5 bicycles in the yard which was secure. The hotel is in a mess.Rooms are basic and small.
Very quiet, pleasant outlook to garden, very good breakfast, convenient for autoroute
Quiet room at back overlooking enclosed pretty garden. Garden and restaurant safe for children Free parking nearby Room a bit small
Clen, curtyard Only one waiter in restauran and bar
Although we booked a triple room we were given a clean newly renovated family room on ground floor with access to lovely walled garden. Breakfast buffet included home-made yoghurt & croissants and fresh fruit. Family run hotel - owners helpful Close proximity to nuclear power plant. Hotel is on busy national route, although we did not hear traffic in garden courtyard. Parking only for 2 vehicles. Automatic toilet light that switches off after about a minute of "no movement" - not suitable for a family room - could scare younger children if they are suddenly in total darkness.
Beaugency is small enough to drive in and out of easily and makes a good overnight stop or base for the Loire valley. Hotel has lovely garden and serves good food on terrace. Meal service a bit slow and teething problems with new bathroom fittings, but staff responded quickly to put things right.
Lovely garden and situation of hotel. No meals available on Sunday evenings - not notified of this when booking - also no reception after 4pm on the Sunday for our arrival. We were emailed a door code but this was after we had leave uk and no longer had access to email. Fortunately we phoned before 4pm and received a door code. No drinks of any kind available on our arrival - not even a kettle in the room. No bar or restaurant facilities until morning - with 2 small children eating out in the evening was far less convebnient and I would not habve booked for a Sunday night stay if I had been informed of the closed restaurant.
Absolutely nothing I have lived in Europe for 3 years and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Bathroom was very moldy as were parts of the room. Door locks were flimsy - another guest entered our room by mistake in the middle of the night. Room was stuffy and there were no windows to open - only the door opened. Hotel Restaurant was horrible - service and food.
The setting in the woods and the hospitality from the pesonnel.
Excellent location on the way South, with a good restaurant
Beautiful Hotel.Fabulous setting. Food was expensive and is supposed to be gastronomic, it wasn't. Service was poor. Near main road so get rooms at back of hotel.
On arrival, we were told we could not dine in the castle because a wedding was taking place. The hotel bar has several drinks listed on their menu that were no longer available. Finally, the rooms had only baths with no shower except for a hand-held one for which no shower rail was available.
Friendly helpful staff. Superb evening meal. Good parking.
Lovely bathroom. Good restaurant - fairly priced. Travelling with our dog and they were very accommodating. Room was up in the hotel attic which made it seem rather small. Toilet was very small - stuck in the eaves and in need to redecoration (hole in the wall). Asked to change room - happy to pay extra to upgrade - but they were full.
Attractive building with interesting furnishings and in a spectacular location. The food was very good and the staff attentive. There were very few staff on duty and we needed to find someone to serve a drink before dinner.
Very nice dinner at the restaurant; good value, quality Rooms were simple, not well equipped by today's standards.
very well situated to visit chambord and blois, very calm. the bed could have been more large and comfortable.
Location Shower cubicle was too small (26 inches x 26 inches)
Very nice hotel with quiet comfortable rooms. The meal was excellent. Close to several famous chateaux.
This hotel proved to be a good value for the money. The bed we stayed in was unbelievably comfortable! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the region--a delightful experience!!
Conveience to motorway. Comfortable beds. Shower and toilet area small and looked well used.
The receptionist was extremely helpful and nice. The room was basic, but clean and had an en-suite shower which was unexpected for the price. They use an automatic reception machine outside the hotel for late check in, which does not seem to accept any UK credit cards. Fortunately the receptionist was working late, and kindly let me and my 2 small children (aged 6 and 4) in, otherwise we would have been stranded with no room at 10pm!!
The Hotel staff were rude and continually sighed. The breakfast was poor and stale.
Hey it was the biggest room of all the hotels I stayed in France. Its a budget hotel, clean with a small bathroom with shower. Its located at the entrance to the town with a few other hotels, no food except breakfast. Nearby are some other hotel restaurants. Bit of a drive into the City. Tricky to locate due to current road works on the roundabout. No staff after 9 pm but thats not a problem unless something doesn't work.
Good access to arterial routes. Discount on food available at neighbouring Campanile. Would use Premiere Classe at Orleans -sud in preference though as more choice of places to eat, a supermarket round the corner, and access to tram station for going into city without having to bother with car parking. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with small desk for wifi but very small and the bathroom is extremely compact: barely room to turn round!
It's ok, fair rate, car parking and wi-fi
I was very pleased that there was a lift in the hotel. This made it so much easirer for one of my family who has walking difficulties. This was worth the extra.
Ideal base for one night only as the rooms are very small.
Breakfast was disappointing, bread was dry, orange juice water and cramped conditions at the counter. We would prefer to pay a bit more for a more substatial choice.
Beds were very uncomfrotable.
You are welcomed by friendly staff and the rooms are large and very clean. There is a garage where you can put your bike, which is locked at night. The jam at breakfast is home-made. Though the decor is a little outdated, the warmth of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms and renovated bathrooms give this hotel its charm.
staff, and breakfast old building, need some repairs
pleasant staff, location to Chambord and highway was excellent
Because of our roadchoice through this landscape
Quiet, nice small hotel with its own specific atmosphere, excellent services and management. Friendly approach to guests. Very good breakfast . May be some renovation would be useful but I am sure the management will be able to do it
Very friendly and helpfull staff/owner
Peaceful situation, large room, good breakfasts, well situated for the Loire Valley. Modern bathroom, comfortable beds. Nice garden. Nuclear power station nearby. Room rather sparsely furnished - no armchair.
Warm atmosphere, very welcoming
No restaurant , superb view and proximity with a nuclear centrale.
An inexpensive yet good quality hotel with friendly staff
Room: simple furnishings, but everything very clean and with large comfortable bed (recent development, so everything new and working as it should). In quiet, pleasant surroundings, set back from main road. Rooms to rear have view over large pond, some with terrace/balcony. Well-placed for visiting Chambord, Blois, Chaumont, and many other interesting places in east Loire Valley. Didn't take advantage of the optional extra of breakfast, but saw the remains of the buffet, and didn't think that it looked worth the 8 E charge, (although I accept that this is an avarage price for similar meals elsewhere).
Very good for a 1 night stop over, good bars and restaurants within walking distance. We turned up late (9 p.m.) and the guy on receptions was very accomodating.
Clean room and friendly manager. Breakfast ok not very exciting. No tea and coffee making facility in room. No hairdryer.
pleasant manager, small, quiet, fair cost
nice vilage, close to Chambord castle, easy access to Blois, new hotel, friendly staf No
We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the hotel and the cleanliness and very comfortable beds. Also the fact that the owner was waiting to meet us even though we didn't arrive until after 8.30pm which was a lot later than we had expected. The breakfast room wasn't very inviting and the breakfasts were not very inspiring, however they were not charging too much for the breakfasts so I supposed you pay for what you get.
This is a hotel with basic facilities, but very clean and with an excellent location. Staff very friendly, very willing to accommodate you. A special mention for David who was very helpful and kind. Very quiet place, for a perfect night sleep between visiting the castles in the Loire's Valley. The major addition to what the hotel is offering now would be the internet connection, a permanent TV schedule (TV was on and off during our stay there, off especially during the night) and improved breakfast choices.
Very clean, spacious room. Tranquil setting. Excellent breakfast. The proprietor was very friendly and most helpful. Well located for exploring area.
This is a quaint village hotel - rather drab from the outside, but has a charming small garden at the back where we ate a delicious evening meal. The chef uses herbs and spices from the garden and the food had a very interesting twist. A family run hotel, and we felt very relaxed and welcome there with our own two children. Our quadruple bedroom was fine - with a lovely, decadent marble shower room, and everything was clean. The only minor downside was that our (very nice) room overlooked the main village road - which was actually quite busy from early on in the morning. A number of lorries use this route and thundered past the bedroom, making it noisy.
