9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location at the center of Palma, close to everything. Great disponibility of staff, we arrived late with the ferry and they were waiting for us!
Cons: Quantity of soap/shampoo could be more generous
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location, comfortable bed, nice bathroom
Cons: Not the best soundproofing, it can be noticed only when someone is in hallway; but quiet during the night
5.8 Okay
Pros: + really kind and helpful receptionists + free banana at the entrance every day + cool towel fold every day + room for 2 people with a balcony has a good view, ask for this room if available. + hotel in the center, good positioning + car rental available at the hotel for 26 euros per day with full insurance for a class A car, more than 30% cheaper than Avis at the airport.
Cons: We got two rooms. One for 1 people, one for 2 as a couple. - no fridge in the rooms - no balcony in the room of 1 - room on 1 really really small - room of 2 small - bed made every day but not changed!!! We were fat and dirty, and stayed on our dirty bed sheets half of the stay. Unacceptable. - no shower curtain in the room of 2. At every shower, the full bathroom is full of water. Hurrah. - Bed not soft as a standard hotel, had back problems for 6 days. - Really hard to find a spot to park your car if you come late (going to see the milky way for example). Approximate distance parking at 6pm 300 meters, 10pm up to 1km. - hotel in a slope, we came with 50+ kg, that was rough. - huge noise due to bad windows
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and kind, a small hotel with only a few rooms so they really take care of you. The breakfast home made by the Italian lady was 100% recommended and it was so delicious!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: in the heart of ancient town lots of medieval building, nice hotelito's interior, friendly host
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place with splendid terrace with sea view. Best breakfast I ever had in a hotel ! Everyhing is home made ! Just delicious ! Very confortable furniture, perfect cleanes. Highly recomended place !
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and rich breakfast. Good bed. Very modern facilities. Super nice and friendly staff.
Cons: At night a bit of noise from the neighbour rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In addition to what we were expecting there was free WiFi and an excellent buffet breakfast could be booked at a very reasonable cost. The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional.
Cons: We would have loved a kettle/ coffee machine in the area where breakfast was served. A hot drink before bed or late afternoon would have made this stay perfect.

Pros: Located on acquiet street, 300m from the msin area with bars and restsurants. Dtaff were there 24 hrs and very helpful. Room overlooked museum opposite. Everythingvwas clean and fresh and worked well. Rooftop area with free tra and coffee was a good retreat. Breakfast comes as a choice of 4 options. The one I chose was excellent in quantity and quality.
Cons: Kettle in room would have helped.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The breakfast is very good.
Cons: The double bed consisted of two separate bunks, each with a mattress on it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Helpful friendly staff, lovely breakfasts, great central location and comfortable room.
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: 1. Close to centre. 2. Easy to get to Caldera de Taburiente 3. Very peacefull and quiet
Cons: 1. There is no private parking and you relay on availability of a public parking lot. 2. Bar closes by 15:00 3. TV very small, it wouldnt bother at all if there was anything to do in town in the evening...but there isn't 4. After the first night i had to ask for more toilitaries as they were not renewed with room cleaning.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A lovely small hotel which served well for us particularly in location and cleanliness of hotel. Breakfast was lovely and we were happy with the choice and quality provided, and the eggless croissants and pastries also!
Cons: The beds are 2 seperate beds together which would be better as one for couples.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff in the breakfast area. Breakfast is not a buffet, but a choice of 4 or 5 options, which consist of way to much food for one person. But they are very flexible, so that was not a problem!
Cons: The price is a bit high for what you get.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Rooms have no fridge - a problem because in-house cafe closes at 3pm. There is a facility for drinks, hot and cold on top floor, but door was inexplicably locked for duration of our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic and healthy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have an electric car. Just 50 meters next to the hotel is a public charger of 22KW. The museum oposite of the hotel is a must see!!! It is very seldom that everything is 100%. We will come back!!!! Thanks
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast, great choices great service. Bought a picnic lunch from hotel cafe great value for money. Loved the roof garden Quiet area and very convenient for shops and restaurants
Cons: Would have appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in room. The refreshment room on the roof top only opened at 15.00hrs feel it should also be open in the morning

8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a great hotel with consideration in every detail and very special decoration. The service in the restaurant was exceptional
Cons: The description of the property is a bit misleading on the topic of the banana plantation The water in the swimming pool (maybe because we were ok late) was not as I would have expected for such a hotel
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent varied breakfast. Lovely lush gardens. Old world charm with fantastic pictures and antique furniture.
Cons: Nice outdoor terrace but very little indoor seating at breakfast when it was rather chilly outside. Lack of sea views.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's peaceful location. It's understated luxury.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Very expensive. Snooty staff. Pleasant but in no way worth the high price. Distinctly average.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully appointed traditional looking interiors. Wonderful furniture and art giving real atmosphere. Very attentive staff. We felt we had good value for money on additional drinks etc which were much the same price as elsewhere and not at a premium. We had a la carte some nights and Tappas others both were very good. The room was well prepared and kept nicely by the House Keeping staff. We have already re-booked and next time will do Bed and Breakfast (rather than half board) and vary evening eating depending on what we have done during the day.
Cons: The unnecessary complaining of other guests. Not all the staff speak English but this was part of the fun communicating, Google translate came in very handy. I speak German and some of the Staff do too
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very interesting and attractive hotel, although quite pricey. Good breakfasts and tapas menu in bar area good value.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The luxuriant furnishings and bathroom. Lots of hot water and big bath. Staff very helpful. Sunny warm location.
Cons: The swimming pool area a little small for the number of beds, and few sun beds. No other sitting out area. We did not eat in the restaurant, but preferred to find a local restaurant , with local food, and cheaper prices.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, generous breakfast, excellent location for Tazacorte, large rooms, beautiful gardens and the pool/spa facilities were great.
Cons: The restaurant food was a little over priced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Whilst the hotel itself is stunning with its amazing antiquities and paintings, beautiful gardens and fine cuisine etc., the staff are a key feature of its success. They were all professionally friendly and dedicated to serving and satisfying guests' needs and enquiries. Thank you for everything.
Cons: Trivial.... The bath/shower was an unusual feature, however, a more practical bath would have been preferred. Whilst TV on holiday is not high on our list of essentials, where provided, we feel it should cater for guests....Russian, African and Chinese (English speaking) stations were irrelevant. The BBC or CNN news channels would have been more practical to keeping in touch. We did however, have the internet, although the password provided was not always stable. The staff kindly provided a more general password which seemed to hold. Thanks for going the extra mile.
6.0 Good
Pros: As always, questionnaires of this sort seldom ask the right questions and the resultant "pigeon-holing" is frustratingly inaccurate, misleading and invariably requires qualified responses. For example, some of the staff were delightful and helpful – particularly in reception. However, the dining room staff, although occasionally good, were often "not up to scratch". Furthermore, the quality of the food at breakfast time was variable and substandard for an interesting and unusual boutique hotel. (cold coffee, stale croissants and poorly cooked/presented "hot" meals).
Cons: Difficult/non-existent parking facilities for guests who had rented cars. Lack of information in guest bedrooms about such mundane things as operating the television set (complex, non-standard system), paucity of English-speaking news channels such as BBC World Service or CNN news, recommended tour options, background history about the unique property and its equally unusual and rather quirky antique furniture.

Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff are just so friendly and helpful. Also beds were just so comfortable.
Cons: Slightly better television would have been nice.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Off the main roads but still very close to most bus routes.
Cons: Shower was a bit smelly
9.5 Excellent

Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great Stay, highly recommended....
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, well-situated apartment with view on tropical garden, mountains and the sea; roof terrace, pool in tropical garden, quiet, friendly staff
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The beds were comfortable.
Cons: There could have been a TV rather than a monitor. Lots of German channels but little else really. No sockets on the kitchen worktop makes it difficult to use the kettle or toaster.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very well maintained apartment complex with pool and gardens. My room 209 had a nice sunny balcony overlooking the pool. Modern keyless entry to room and outer doors on a night. The apartments are five mins walk to nearest bus stop and ten mins to Los Llanos bus station with regular services to many destinations including Santa Cruz half hourly during week hourly weekends. Five mins to main bars and restaurants small supermarket next door. I used this as a base to hike the island given it's 15 mins by bus to the Caldera and 45 mins by bus to Fuencaliente. If you stay here you can explore the majority of the island by public transport. I will definitely stay here again...a real gem of a property for the independent traveller. I have been to La Palma three times now and this apartment block is far superior to last two places I stayed. The Wi-Fi is charged at 2 euro's a day but is fast and reliable.

Pros: Excellent location and staff keen to help!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were all so welcoming. The room was very clean and comfy with doors out into the beautiful courtyard. We had a great stay.
Cons: Could do with some new towels, they were clean but a bit old. Otherwise nothing I could find fault with.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room with balcony with sea view. Excellent breakfast. The owners are wonderful, friendly, efficient, very polite.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, fantastic location brilliant room
Cons: Nothing it was fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The terrace and outdoor area was very pretty. Our room was very clean and although all the rooms with a balcony were booked we were still able to sit outside. The staff were all really helpful and even went with us to park our car. The hotel is is in the centre of town but the area is still very quiet but it is within a short walking distance to restaurants and bars.
Cons: We couldn't think of a thing we didn't like.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Few rooms so very quiet, a lot of common areas... all very nice and tidy. Really a good choice.
Cons: Breakfast a bit too "German", considering the price it could be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful courtyard within the property which the rooms overlooked. Modern hotel but with all the charms typical of la palma. Breakfast was fabulous with high quality ingredients and plenty of them. Staff booked us car hire which was sooooooo cheap and delivered to the door! Also booked us on a star gazing tour, they were extremely helpful. Location was superb, right in the old streets of Santa Cruz, picture postcard views around every corner. Would return here again.
Cons: I am unable to fault the hotel and staff, every small detail was taken care of even down to a great selection of reading material on la palma available to borrow and a cooled water dispenser to refill your water bottle. Oh I've thought of something......they could provide a shower cap!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel good location to restaurants and town. Good breakfast.

6.3 Good
Pros: Welcome desk personal is friendly ! Waiter (men) at restaurant was rude which is unacceptable. Rooms and infrastructure a bit outdated...
Cons: Not enough sockets in rooms. Sound insulation between rooms Masculine waiter in restaurant was providing unprofessional service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts. Good range of options for evening meal. Good facilities (tennis, table-tennis, indoor swimming pool, sauna, small gym). Good position on hillside with spectacular views. Pleasant gardens with interesting plants and flowers (including orchids). Clean, tidy, welcoming interior. Room cleaned and tidied daily to a high standard. Log fire in bar area in the evening (we visited in February). Wonderful location for walking/trekking in the North of the island, -and only about 35 minutes from Santa Cruz. Helpful advice about walks from reception. Plenty of parking.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful views of mountain and sea from rooms, useful fridge. Lots of seating areas around the hotel, lovely view from terrace/conservatory. Indoor and outdoor pools, gymn, table tennis and tennis court. Good restaurant. Pleasant walk into town (but steep back up hill). Generally: a good choice.
Cons: We were in a king suite. Although it does have two bedrooms, they dont have doors, they are separated by a short corridor, off which is the bathroom. The main door to the suite opens into one of the bedrooms. There is no separate seating area suitable for 3 or 4 and only 2 chairs on balcony. No kettle/coffee making facilities in suite. The waiter was very grumpy the first evening, probably because it was busy (valentines day).
7.5 Good
Pros: The walls are paper thin...The water in the jazucci was cold and some changes in the morning menu would be a bonus
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice old building with plenty of sitting areas around a roaring log fire in the evening. Good restaurant especially the filet steak and a very good breakfast for 4Euros. Great place to base your walking holiday or exploration of the northern part of the island.
Cons: Overall it was good nothing we didn't like. No WiFi in rooms and outdoor pool not heated so not useable in the winter. This was not a problem to us.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, relaxing hotel close to some wonderful walks amid spectacular scenery. The hotel is a bit old fashioned and faded in parts but for us that was part of its charm. Special thanks to Raquel on reception who was incredibly helpful in pointing out where to visit, walks to take, etc The breakfast was amazing value at only 4 euros extra per person each day - great choices both hot and cold. The hotel has its own restaurant and we ate here both nights. They have a set menu each day which is really good value, and an a la carte menu which has a good selection and is also reasonably priced. Wonderful place to spend a few nights and we would definitely come back again.
Cons: Indoor swimming pool was supposed to be heated but was quite cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice colonial feel to the old building. Attractive wooden balconies and pleasant gardens. Cosy fire in the bar area was very welcome in the rain. I was very impressed that the breakfast waitress knew I had requested soya milk before I'd even introduced myself. Very friendly reception. Warm and comfortable place to escape the unexpected rain.
Cons: Wifi does not work in the rooms. The whole place is a little old fashioned looking, not necessarily a bad thing but some of the furnishings could definitely do with an update. The dinner was a little overpriced as well, although I enjoyed what I had.
7.0 Good
Pros: Perfectly fine facilities and good sized rooms. Food ok in a basic home cooking way. Generous help yourself breakfast.
Cons: Bit tired - could do with updating. Not the hotels fault at all but weather is Barlovento seems much worse than elsewhere on the island so is often dark and cloudy. and combined with decor and slightly tired and grumpy staff it feels like staying in the 1970’s. No room service and WiFi only in communal area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel atmosphere was perfect for our walking holiday and the breakfast was excellent and extremely good value
Cons: The swimming pool wasn't very inviting
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Much atmosphere. Great staff. Have booked before and will again.
Cons: No elevator.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful colonial style property. Had a sea view balcony which was incredibly tranquil. Pool area not used as weather not great but it could do with a bit of maintenance to take it to the standard it deserves. Food in restaurant was surprisingly good and great value for money. Great base for the amazing hiking on the island Overall a very nice stay and I will be back soon.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: No pepper on tables. Service a bit rushed. Frequently no barman.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, good selection of food in the restaurant for dinner and lovely staff
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beds comfortable, room very spacious, breakfast and dinner very good (on the two occasions when we ate at the hotel). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great as a base for touring the island.
Cons: I think everything was just fine. A little cafe bar where you could buy coffee and a croissant, without having the full breakfast would be good....
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The public areas were very agreeable and clean. The staff were generally pleasant. The extensive gardens were great with many interesting plants never seen in the UK.
Cons: 3 main points: The receptionist at this 4 star parador spoke nothing but spanish. All I needed was a bit of french or german or english. He also made little effort to deal with our queries. The bedroom safe was not bolted to the wall. It wasn't very heavy and anyone could have walked off with it. The breakfast was ok but no more. After the first day, we used a cafe in Santa Cruz.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great service and views. Good restaurant and lovely gardens. All you would expect for a parador, almost.
Cons: No tea and coffee making stuff in the room and walls are paper thin so if you have noisy people next door then forget peace and tranquillity.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Very nice woman at check in on Dec 8 but the male reception staff for next 2 days very disagreeable and unhelpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beautiful building from the 30s and the rooms have wooden floors, are spacious and have balconies with a view of SC La Palma and the Ocean.
Cons: I wouldn't normally complain about such things - especially since I only stayed for one night over carnival - but for 170€/night I might add two things: 1. The pool has no heating and has 16 degrees in March. For a hotel in that price range I expected more to be honest. At 16 degrees swimming is practically impossible unless you are a olympic grade swimmer. 2. I missed the breakfast window because of the previous nights carnival activities, so I decided to order something from their "room service menu." Now, I don't expect to get room service all day around - but at 11 AM I should be able to order at least a Sandwich. Again, nothing I'd complain about - but at the rate of 170 € I expect a bit more. None the less a good hotel with friendly staff, great architecture spacious rooms and great views.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy acces, parking, staff Good for going by car and touring the island.
Cons: Room doors and locks need inspection. Our door could not be locked when in the room Wifi free and slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast, beautiful hotel
Cons: Bed was a little too firm for me

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice apartment block in a good location.. Good value
Cons: Needed a bit more kitchen equipment...No chopping board ,no washing up liquid, sponge etc
7.5 Good
Pros: Value for money
Cons: No sun on terrace all day!
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast which was provided in the hotel across the road was buffet style and good value for money with a good selection. The location of the apartments was very good for getting around the resort and also for accessing the rest of the island. Well worth hiring a car as there is so much to see on this little gem of an island. The apartments were in a quiet location, very peaceful and the grounds were clean and well maintained.
Cons: Facilities in the apartment were basic. No toaster and no kettle which you take to be pretty much standard these days, but as we were only there for three nights it wasn't a big deal.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Wifi was a bit unreliable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet place. Nice large balcony (and the additional small one). Nice pool. Helpful hosts.
Cons: No complaints! Just a minor suggestion: a couple more cups and glasses would be nice.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful
Cons: Lack of general equipment in apartment ,plugs for sink, no cooker ,had to ask for kettle, office not open when we arrived. Limited power sockets.
10.0 Excellent

6.3 Good
Pros: friendly/helpful owner
Cons: kitchen area much too small - I ate out because of this.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location close to the bus stop. Many friendly people :)
Cons: 10 person dorm was filled with 12 persons. Price around 11 or 12 would be adequate
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time I stay at La Casa Encantada. I love the atmosphere, the meeting with people from all around the world, the cozy evenings making food together and the feeling of being with a big friendly family. The beds are very nice, the terrace has a marvelous view and it’s very nice to spend the late evening on the rooftop watching the sun set. There is a big supermarket just right by where you can find all you need. There are also nice restaurants in the neighborhood if you don’t want to make your own dinner.
7.5 Good
Pros: Warm welcome and short tour by friendly staff. The family room was sufficiently large and the beds were OK for a hostel. Good location - supermarket nearby. Well-equipped kitchen.
Cons: One of the three bathrooms was really tiny. Our room was facing the road, but fortunately there's hardly any traffic at night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good hostel, as it should be.
Cons: The beds make a lot of screeching noise with every movement.
6.8 Good
Pros: The roof terrace
Cons: The covers of the bed were a bit dirty
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is very welcoming, check-in and check-out was smooth. The people taking ca re of the hostel were helpful and friendly. I loved the atmosphere, and a plus was the terrace, perfect to rest after a walk in the Caldera del Taburiente, or to enjoy a coffee and breakfast in the morning
Cons: The town is a bit empty after 22.30, and it was not easy to find a place to eat at that time of the night.

Pros: The layout of the hotel was lovely having a garden and waterfall inside. Plenty of place to sit and chill. The food on all occasions was beyond expectation, the variety and the way it was cooked. The waiting staff could not have been more attentive.
Cons: The only thing we could find fault with was the hotel was having renovation work done on the main pool. So from morning until evening it was very noisy. This did not really affect us as we had planned to go out every day but there was no way it could have been relaxing if we had stayed in. We know this work has to be carried out at sometime, I would have thought after New Year would have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffets, and it was nice that breakfast was open until 10:00 and dinner was open until 22:00. The location was great as we were close to some nice beaches as well as cute restaurants and souvenir shops. The staff was also incredibly helpful with reserving taxis, arranging car rentals, and even helping me figure out how to operate something in my rental car! The beds were also incredibly comfortable and I really appreciated the number and quality of pillows we had.
Cons: Everything was great, but we did wish that the pools were open past 20:00. I don't know if hours change later in the season, but my daughter always wanted to swim after dinner.
6.8 Good
Pros: Beautiful seaside cliffs and the property was well maintained
Cons: Nothing to do except use the pool. Food was poor.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Buffet food bar was good, fresh food and cooked well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in Cancajos, an area full of hotels and vacation condos. There are some shops and restaurants around if you want to visit them. There is a nice pool at the hotel which many were using. I didn’t have full board but I think most guests did.
Cons: Nothing. It was a perfectly fine place to stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was a suite, very spacious and refurbished, but it lacks of bathrobes or slippers.
Cons: The food was simply average. There wasn't natural orange juice. The cleaning service stocks the trolley in any place and was difficult to bypass when carrying a suitcase or aged people. The suite has a coffee machine (nespresso) but there wasn't any free capsules. Non suite rooms needs an urgent update.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent and all the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent
Cons: There was building work going on while we were there which we hadn't been warned about. But, when we took it up with the hotel staff they upgraded us to All Inclusive

Pros: Nice spacious rooms. Nice pool and good food options . Close to The airport (8€ in a taxi ) and close to the city Center as well ( 10 -12 minutes bus ride )
Cons: Nothing really
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Terrible service. First they gave me the keys to an unprepared room during check in. Then the cleaning lady decides to clean the room at 9:45am without knocking the door. The servuce at the bar was lousy, plastic cup to taje away morning coffee. Disconnected staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an attractive complex with fine sea views from balconies and outdoor swimming pools. Our apartment was clean and had a hob, microwave and fridge. There is a Spa a minutes walk away and a mini market in the hotel. A buffet breakfast was provided and there are options for evening meals if you don't wish to self cater.
Cons: Disappointed the Thai restaurrant had closed and ws relocating.
7.5 Good
Pros: large apartments,
Cons: tired decor, no imagination in design, atmosphere could be best described as sad
10.0 Excellent
Pros: clean, friendly, good breakfast
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice garden and pool area, great breakfast buffet Located very close to the beautiful cliffs, loved the sound of the waves at night
Cons: Appartement could be cleaner
5.5 Okay
Pros: the meals were adequate.
Cons: two things ! the bedroom had no furniture other than one wooden chair, no dressing table or mirror in bedroom When I asked at reception about the prices I was amazed to find out had I booked room only I could have upgraded for less than I prepaid.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: No fans or air conditioning. Bad smell from toilet, possibly the drains. A lot of tiny ants this year and mosquitos coming in through window at night, which we had to leave open because it was hot. Suggest they put fly netts on their windows, which will also help with the mosquitos. It was appalling to see that there was no lifeguard and a lot of small children at the pool everyday. Surely, that's illegal!. They used to have some fruit and bottle of water in the rooms on arrival, this year they did not provide this. At least a bottle water would be welcomed by guests on arrival since its so hot.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast either on the sunny terrace or the spacious dining room. Stacks of choice, good coffee. The apartment we were in was very sunny and spacious, with plenty of hot water and comfortable seating. We just had a Juliet balcony but did have a sea view which was lovely. Plenty of parking either in the hotel precinct or on the road just outside. We had the buffet evening meal just the once which was very good value, with lots of choice. Good waiter service for drinks.
Cons: The beds were a tad too firm for us but we doubled up two spare blankets they gave us on request and put them under the sheet, which softened them a bit. There was only one pillow each but they happily gave us two more when we asked. The kitchenette could have done with a few more cooking utensils but we managed.
7.5 Good
Pros: Pool and pool area was lovely.
Cons: Apartment decor was dated and in need of a refresh.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great central location, clean studio apartment, all we needed to self cater and be comfortable whilst exploring the area. Excellent customer service: The team there arranged for us to stay an extra night when the weather and a migraine ruined our camping plans AND on a Sunday. We really appreciated their help.
Cons: These are slightly less cosy than some of the apartments we rented in other areas - just because they are for tourists and so not ‘lived in’. No washing machine in the apartment. But still clean and comfortable, so only a very minor thing! We were happy with our stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Apartments are very spacious and clean with plenty of light. We were on the ground floor so there would be even more light on one of the upper floors. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen was adequately equipped. Close (3 mins walk) to a supermarket. A bus stop is 5 mins away. A quick and straightforward check-in process.
Cons: Because of the large size, the living room was a bit chilly in late January but a heater was provided.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpfull staff
Cons: For this money all good

Overview Reviews
Located in Puerto Naos, in the municipality of Los Llanos, on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands), the resort includes Sol La Palma and Sol La Palma Apartments and is perfect for discovering the prettiest of all the Canary Islands, thanks to its excellent location right on the beach, its complete and comfortable facilities and the equality of its services.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good dinner selection, right next to the beach, nice rooms and bathroom. Great place if you are looking to relax.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Buffet style breakfast and evening meal had great variety and plenty of fresh food. The restaurant was open and airy with a lovely out door balcony. The included yoga and fitness sessions were an added bonus.
7.5 Good
Pros: Large choice of food
Cons: Food choices limited after 8pm and always cold. Parking arrangement was poor and difficult. More spaces needed. Not right to be charged for the parking to access the hotel easily. Not right to be charged for the use of a kettle. Amount paid over a week could buy a kettle. Even the pool towels are charged for. Most hotels do not charge for use of safe which was code accessed. Hotel required a deposit. Did they think it was likely to be stolen? The hotel does not have a bus service to the airport. Need to hire a car. More wind barriers needed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location, breakfast, nice laundry service, close Islabonita Tour pick-up point (by the way, fantastic travel agency)
Cons: Water not draining properly in the shower
7.5 Good
Pros: It was a very comfortable hotel with good views over the sea.
Cons: The restaurant was rather impersonal, i would certainly recommend to try and get a seat on the balcony
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: We told them that we are on honeymoon and got spa rkling wine. The varsity of the food on breakfast.
Cons: The reception took from us 10 euro deposit for parking key and 5 euro for safe deposit and also 5 euro per day for parking and 3 euro per day for safe. When we checked out they didn't wrote that we paid for the safe and didn't want to give the deposit back. The hotel look so good, and we didn't understand why he got only 7.9 on booking, and after our stay in this hotel there are 3 stars better than that hotel. The room was very nice, but it took a lot of time to clean, and when you ask the reception they told us that they can clean until 16:00 and they she come they only replace towels and thats it. We took the dinner and we paid 18 per person and we expected that the food would be tasty, but... On breakfast that there was a woman that making the omlet, and they we asked her to make our omlet different then what she make to other people she complained and vulgar gestures towards my wife.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent!
Cons: Only seafood was not such enough in dinner how I'd like to see there.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: In the end, we liked the pool and the tai chi. Also the wifi was quite good, the showers were great and the receptionist was really friendly to us.
Cons: With the reservation, I made a small mistake and when I called the hotel and booking.com multiple times, there was very little flexibility from the hotel and they wanted to let me pay double... not so classy. In the end (after a friend called angrily) they could make the change. This reservation experience felt unfair and made me feel sad. Regarding the stay: the breakfast was not so good, there was lots of choice but the quality can be improved.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Very unfriendly service. Aggressive Waiters. Unfriendly Management.

Pros: Superior studio - new, clean, spacious, well equipped and stylish. Nice view
Cons: Wafer thin pillow - needed to fold it in half!
6.8 Good
Pros: Aparthotel in front of the beach. Nice views. Big apartment but basic. Good breakfast. Very close to the commercial and touristic areas. Restaurants and bars in the vicinity
Cons: TV not working. No parking.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I've returned to this place many times. It is basic, but it is always spotlessly clean, the staff always make you feel welcome, it is in a great location (especially with the new beach across the street!) and it is great value for money. Next time I'm in Santa Cruz, I will stay here again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: excellent location, I guess best in Santa Cruz unless you are into walking up very steep hills. Staff are 1st class, but do not expect fluent english (that applies to the whole of La palma)
Cons: Lots of 'silly' faults with the quite old room, but nothing to stop me going back for the price/location.

Cons: The wifi was only available in lounge/reception area. Not really a problem!

Pros: The bed very comfortable. Location. The kindness from the staff.
Cons: The noise from the streets and water pipes. There is no lift.

Pros: Perfect location in the center of the town. The bar downstairs prepares amazing tortilla sandwiches! The rooms are simple and clean.
Cons: One small advice would be to replace the electric sockets with newer ones. They do still work, though.

Cons: The sound proofing is very poor. You can hear the noise from the street and the next room, even the sound of speech.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: The staff was not friendly and informative, the services provided were not sufficient
6.8 Good
Pros: Ivonne is a very warmhearted host - together with her family she does everything to make you feel comfortable. She even picked me up from the airport. Her family gave me great tips for my trip and even took me to the market in Argual. You live in a homestay atmosphere and can use the kitchen and everything as you want. The bathroom hut is probably offering the bathroom with the world's best view. You will get extraordinary sunsets every single day. At night, you hear nothing but the sound of the ocean. Absolutely worth the price. If you like a rural and authentic stay with a real local family - this is your place! By car, it is only 5-10 minutes to Puerto Naos and 10 minutes to beautiful Charco Verde, one of the nicest beaches on the island. You will need aroung 15-20 minutes to Los Llanos. There is a direct bus from the nearest bus station to Los Llanos and Puerto Naos. You can also walk to Puerto Naos, but it's not a nice path, on a serpentine road with not footwalk. But tramping usually works great there ;-)
Cons: Yes, it is a super simple way to spend your holidays. The huts are super basic and the cleaniness in the bathroom could be better (depending on the other guests). It's sad that the banana plantages are covered (as you see in the pictures), but the view at the ocean pays it off. Getting there by bus is possible (you need around 10-15 minutes to walk straight down to the bus station and there are no street lights at night), but it might get excausting after a long day of hiking and the buses go only every hour. There is no supermarket etc. nearby, so you will have to carry all your stuff up the hill to your place if you don't have a car - be warned ;-) One of the guys living there has a mental illness, which might give you a weird feeling. You also shouldn't have a problem with dogs, cats and geckos, who will live closeby. There is no heating in the huts, so better bring your long pyjamas in the wintertime.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome by Ivonne and Antonio, the location is sitting on a Terrasse in the middle of the bananas high above the sea. Kitchen available, our room (superior) was spacious and clean. Beautiful sunsets from the garden. Easy going place, good value for money.
Cons: Hard to find, coordinates from booking.com are not correct. Search for this location: (28.5941918, -17.9025127). Best way to access is from the Tennisclub below.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ivonne, the owner is very welcoming and makes her guests feel like at home. Nice terrasse garden and nice small bungalos that fit very well to the location.
6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly host, clean room, quiet area
Cons: Location is really in between bananaplantations and therefor very isolated
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owners. Made you very welcome
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was very quiet and peaceful. Very rural and nestled in the surrounding banana growing farms. The little chalets and other accommodation are very basic, but when coming to a location like this what more do you need? Some place to sleep peacefully at night and in reasonable comfort. The shared facilities were kept clean which, really, is down to the people who use them. If guests treat communal facilities, such as showers and toilets, with contempt then it puts the proprietors under pressure and everybody suffers. Luckily the various folk who stayed at this place while I was there, treated the premises with respect and also consideration for others. The owner, Yvonne, made her washing machine available for my clothes which was a real plus point for me, given the fact that I did a fair amount of hillwalking, because the Island of La Palma can be quite windswept, sandy and dusty at times. I would, however, recommend hiring a car - and that applies no matter where you choose to stay on the island - because if you don't you will find it quite difficult to get around everything La Palma has to offer in a short space of time. All in all Los Amigos de La Naturaleza were friends indeed. Also, the price I was charged represented excellent value for money. If you are looking for 5-star luxury, then this place is not for you, but I will definitely try to stay here again if I return to La Palma.
Cons: As I say, the facilities are very basic and the chalet I was allocated could have done with a small cabinet or similar article of furniture to allow me to unpack my case properly. However, I appreciate that, in staying for two weeks, I probably stayed for longer than most guests. So that is just a minor suggestion, and not really a criticism.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked very much the atmosphere, it was kind of magic and strange. It was very peaceful there and a lot of space. You could easily find your own corner to be alone if you wished. The terrace on the bank is wide and you can enjoy the best sunsets. The host couple, Ivonne and Toni are very nice people.
Cons: It is a little burdensome to reach the place if you don't have a car or bike, because there is no transport nearby. It takes half an hour to walk to the nearest shop. There are no lights on the way if you want to walk after the sunset. Wifi connection did not work in the remote rooms and it was quite dark in the evenings.

6.3 Good
Pros: Nice view
Cons: Not a clear air in the room
5.0 Okay
Pros: The quality of the apartments is excellent. Unfortunately, this is not matched by the equipment. Given that almost all guests will be flying into the island, the kitchen was very poorly equipped - the glasses were three small tumblers - this is Spain for pete's sake - people drink wine! No dish-towels, no washing up liquid.
Cons: Apart from what I've already written, don't both with the dinner - it was awful, though it has to be said that the breakfast was very good, though not worth the €8 charge. Wasn't impressed when the receptionist tried to charge us for breakfast for our second day, but this may have been a genuine misunderstanding.
