Pros: Very Good
Pros: Great facilities, beautiful views/landscape and amazing host!
Pros: An amazing place! Great location with amazing hosts. Super relaxed and easy going. Awesome activities, there is always something to do. No devices necessary. Epic mussel cook up, beautiful scenery, awesome hot tub.... the list goes on. Perfect place to spend our wedding anniversary.
Pros: Lynley and Mike our hosts were so friendly and it really felt as though we were staying at a friend's house, although with all the privacy and comforts of a resort. We will definitely return to Hopewell Lodge.
Pros: Lynley & Mike gave us an unforgettable experience in the isolated Kenepuru Sound full of their hospitality. We saw how they built and set up the paradise for all guests with reasonable and high-standard services. Activity options at Hopewell Lodge are various and 1GB free WiFi is included for each visitor and 4G signal is covered and steady. All you need to do is escaping and forgetting in order to fully enjoy the beauty and charms there. I appreciate for Lynley and Mike’s hard working and made us have a special and fabulous Labour Day holiday. Thanks so much.
Pros: Fantastic spot and accommodation.staff were so friendly and helpful, there had been an issue with our booking so we were upgraded.Regardless Hopewell is super clean well maintained. We used the kayaks which gave us access to other amazing bays. Lovely little touches such as Anzac biscuits, recommended.
Pros: A long drive to get there but worth it. We should have stayed much longer. The facilities were superb and the available activities, of which there were many, were reasonably priced.
Cons: The bathroom was a little small but it is a lodge and we coped
Pros: I had high expectations of this stay and they were all exceeded. From the moment Mike picked us up from Te Mahia bay we knew this was the perfect place for a hideaway from the city. Night spas under the stars were amazing especially followed by swimming off the wharf in the phosphorescence! We had a pizza the second night and it was great, we had an awesome chat with Mike and Lyn for a few hours. The kitchen is absolutely perfect for self catering and kept very clean! Highly recommended if you just need to get away and chill.

Pros: The location would be hard to beat, right on the waters edge and looking out into the sounds. Hard to beat the sound of waves lapping the beach to send you to sleep. The rooms were spacious and clean with everything you needed.
Cons: There was some lack of communication involving where to pick up our water taxi to Picton. We were told it was a 10min walk when in fact it was a 10min drive. We were also disappointed with the breakfast, was not worth the $18 per person
Pros: Location, proximity to the water, super friendly and helpful staff, and relaxing atmosphere. Spacious and comfortable rooms with lots of glass on the water side.
Cons: Floor plans are unusual and dated as are the furnishings, appliances and bathrooms. However, everything was clean and in good operating condition. Common BBQ area is really tired and only the solid grills worked.
Pros: Beautiful views from the room. Very friendly staff. Very clean. They had kept the history of the place as much as possible. Well equipped kitchen. The little walk to see the glow worms kept the kids happy. My son loved spotting all the native birds too.
Cons: Due to the age of the building there was quite a slope on the floors, i noticed as soon as I walked in. It didn't affect my enjoyment. I would have found the shared balcony awkward if there had been someone in the apartment next door. More living space would have been good for the number of people.
Pros: Loved the personal touches and the fresh flowers. Resort was very clean and tidy. Was made to feel welcome.
Pros: Amazing Views, Friendly Staff, great place to relax

Pros: Just got everything so right. Drinks on arrival, friendly introduction & show around. Clean & well thought out room area. Stunning location. Incredible dinner. David’s attention to detail was impressive. Definitely a stay we will cherish.
Cons: great experience overall
Pros: View from our room was excellent and we were able to sit out on the balcony in the evening to admire views
Cons: Spa pool down by the beach area after a long walk would if been relaxing
Pros: The attention to customer service. Perfect location Food was good..
Pros: Great staff, service was fantastic. We were so impressed at how attentive the staff were and how friendly and welcoming. Great food and atmosphere for dinner. Was great to share a meal with fellow hikers. The location is also superb. Very private and you are able to completely unplug from the outside world!
Pros: A beautiful lodge on the edge of the Queen Charlotte Sound. A perfect day's walk along the 2nd leg of the Queen Charlotte Track to get there. A lovely welcome, beautiful accommodation and the most superb dinner at "The Chef's Table" made this a truly memorable stay.

Pros: Spacious and the spa bath was a bonus
Pros: Everything about the place was perfect
Pros: Warm and quiet room - no need to use any room heating. Large bathroom.
Cons: Didn't particularly like the overhead rain showerhead - (a bit difficult rinsing ones nether regions). That said, I am not sure how it could be done any different to make that particular bathroom flood / guest proof. Partner not a big fan of the initial winding nature of the road to Linkwater, (and that was coming in from Havelock)
Pros: Quiet rural setting convenient to start of Queen Charlotte track. Loved hearing the morepork owl during the night.
Cons: Plastic shower curtain, get rid of the curtain
Pros: Was a nice quiet convenient place to stay. One of the most modern facilities we stayed at on our whole vacation. Very clean and tidy. Management was very helpful, giving us directions and sightseeing tips. Would stay again.

Pros: Good site
Pros: We were upgraded on a quiet weekend which impressed me. The upgraded room had a lovely balcony and a stunning view.
Pros: The location
Cons: The pool and spa were closed, no TV and safe in the room, no WiFi, staff was friendly but couldn't help really because nobody from the management was around
Pros: The staff were lovely and welcoming but we were disappointed in our room considering the price paid. A light outside on a garage beside us kept me awake during the night as there we no blackout blinds. Very expensive buffet meal for the quality of food. I appreciate our stay was over a long weekend but the cost was really excessive considering we stayed at Punga Cove the night before which offered better accommodation and better value for money.
Cons: Rooms need updating. Price for buffet too expensive for options provided.
Pros: They gave us dinner and packed breakfast+lunch despite our late arrival. Fantastic room. Warm, cosy and clean. Perfect to recover from a long day mountain biking
Pros: The rooms are nice enough.
Cons: The staff were pretty rude upon arrival and checkout. And it felt like you were being ripped off the whole time. There is no where to eat dinner other than the hotel so they charge 45$ for a buffet (way more expensive than dinner at any of the other hotels we stayed in the sounds) which was frankly awful. Every buffet item was below par and some were downright dreadful. Dissapointing.
Pros: The location was picture perfect and buffet dinner delicious
Cons: Thought our one bedroom room was nice but a little small. The bathroom very small and in need of some tlc
When you stay at The Lodge At Te Rawa - Boat Access Only in Wilson Bay, you'll be on the waterfront and steps from Pelorus Sound. Featured amenities include express check-in, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Stunning surroundings, lovely owners,Rob is a great host free Kajak use
Cons: The beds , fortunately we only needed four of the six, because only four had boards underneath. Those without boards would be impossible to sleep in and mattresses were very old and the batch is on a slope, consider that you have to pay the boat transfer which is not cheap. If you bring your dog consider that you cannot take it for walks because you cannot take them to the adjacent property which you can walk on.
Pros: We absolutely loved the location and it was a bonus to be the only staying guests. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: We disliked the bed linen, it was scratchy to sleep on - I know it was real linen, but prefer cotton! There were cobwebs around the windows which is why my rating for cleanliness is so low. We felt that the meals were very average for the price - I had a badly cooked steak dinner which was VERY poor value in my opinion, it was dry and tasteless.
Pros: The location was great although there was not mich to do. Great view, ellende, nature.
Cons: We reckoned our cabin was built by the great great grandfather of the last owner and now in desperate need of rebuilding it from scratch. Doors dont close; water stayed in the shower; matrasses very old and worn out. We are used to NZ YHA prices and quality but for the basic cabin in te Rawa paid double but got less than half the quality. We had not expected this in a place called "Lodge"".
