The locations perfect for anyone traveling to the Phoenix area.
We were taken via shuttle to the incorrect Marriott and it took almost two hours to get to our room. We were traveling with a baby and it was very stressful. The room was very small.
Snacks and jacuzzi
Front desk staff was extremely polite, kind and warm upon our arrival and at our departure. Really took care of us.

Its proximity to downtown Tempe
$8 per day to park in their outside lot which was not disclosed until we arrived
Excellent rooms, very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I love Marriot sheets. The room looked over the pool which was a great view.
The only possible negative was that we had to pay for parking. It was $8.00 a day to park. I realize it's in downtown Tempe and close to everything so didn't mind, but still wish they had free parking.
The room with 1 king bed, sofa, coffee table, and desk was well-designed so there was room to move about freely even though it was a compact space.
The closet was too shallow; the luggage stand did not fit once it was opened for use and the folding doors hit the garments on hangers! No free breakfast. not even cold cereal, fruit or coffee.
Location was amazing. Staff was courteous, kind and helpful. Kevin at the bistro bar was awesome and Ali at the front desk was very accomidating. This was a very nice courtyard property. I would highly recommend staying here if in Tempe or Phoenix area.
Paying to Park was not expected. The way the ammenities showed for this hotel led me to believe that parking was included but it was $8 per day. Also I recieved an additional unexpecte bill for Taxes that had changed between the months of booking and stay
The Bistro was wonderful. I've never seen that in a hotel. I didn't use the pool/outdoor area, but it was beautiful and well kept.
The bathroom area in the room was small compared to most hotels.
Pool area was kept up quite well, it is also close to the mill avenue party area, which is why we chose courtyard Tempe.
No continental breakfast on a xxx per night booking seemed a little on the cheap side
Stayed one night for a concert at Tempe Beach Park. Great location - walking distance to Mill Avenue, the train and Tempe Town Lake. Probably the best hotel room I've ever had, and location makes it the best room I've rented in Phoenix (including the Hyatt downtown and Tapatio Cliffs). The bed was super comfy. I'll be staying here again.
If you travel alone, this hotel is OK. If you travel with family, the hotel room is way too small.\nWe have 2 adults and 2 young children (age 4 and 2). There was nearly no room to walk after setting up a portable play pen for my little one.\n\nThe service was not very good, either. I called front desk to ask for just one bath towel and waited for 1 hour. I gave up and did not call the front desk again. Nobody showed up after all. The room was somehow not very clean cause my girl had eczema (rash on the skin) next morning.\n\nBreakfast buffet was good but not cheap ($9.95 per adult). I was told by the front desk staff that kids under 12 are free. But the server at the restaurant still charged us $3.95 per child. \n\nThe only good thing is this hotel is close to Arizona State University if you need to visit your friends or family at ASU, or if you are here for the conference like my husband did. There are lots of restaurants withinn walking distance.
As a Marriott Rewards member I have stayed at many Marriott hotels. This one was below average. I am completely perplexed as to the price per night! I would pay $89 for this dark, old, below average room...but $269 !! No Way!! (I had reward points and stayed for free). I now know why there were hardly any people there and the pool was so nice and quiet!\nOn the plus side, it is within walking distance of many restaurants and some neighborhood shopping. There is a spa quite close for massages and facials. The rooms were adequate and clean, but quite small, dark and stuffy. The pool was very clean and refreshing. The staff must have been ok...nothing comes to mind regarding them, good or bad. I'll stay again for the close restaurants and quite, clean pool, but only if I can get a rate under $120 a night!
