The bed and breakfast is housed in a beautiful building built at the end of ' 700, situated in the historic centre of the medieval village of Basques. The dwelling was acquired at the beginning of the last century by my grandfather Bernardino who lived there with his family; his wife, Pauline, and his son, my father, Lucius. Our family continued to live there until 1986. Now the House is completely renovated and returned to host a part of the family. The restoration of the House began in June 2011 and ended in February 2012, making the building a beautiful and cozy home. Fact: the House has gone through very intense historical moments, it was the home of the Mayor during the Fascist era and was seized by German troops to host the command during World War II. The Pauline House Bed and breakfast, a family-run hotel boasts spacious rooms elegantly decorated and sober with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The bed and breakfast has 5 rooms 4 double a single and a twin. Overlooking the garden, the rooms of the dwelling Paolina feature an LCD TV, a desk, and an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries, air conditioning and heating. Breakfast includes hot drinks and cakes, and salty foods upon request, all to be enjoyed in the breakfast room or, in summer, on the terrace overlooking the Tiber Valley. The Paolina bed and breakfast offers a spa with wellness and beauty treatments can be booked in advance or upon arrival. The bed and breakfast is a 10-minute drive from the motorway A1, 30 minutes ' drive from Lake Bolsena and only 8 km from Orvieto

Pros: We appreciated a lovely evening meal on arrival. This was a quiet and delightful spot en route to our final destination in Umbria.
Cons: We were only staying overnight but it seemed the pool was not available to us should we have wanted to make use of it.
Pros: Country side. Clean swimmingpool. Natural products from own garden for breakfast. Spacy room.
Cons: Bathroom (old shower, shower doors didn't shut well). No fan in the room. We made use of the dinner possibility (€ 16 per person), when we recieved the bill we had to pay more (the lady said the dinner included "carne" not "beefsteak") of course we did not agree. Furthermore when we wanted to pay, no credit cards were accepted (the site of Booking.com says different). Lady speaks no English or French
Cons: It's very difficulte to find the route to the hotel.
Pros: Very convenient for visiting Umbria and especially Orvieto; pleasant and quiet place
Pros: Kindness of the lady, country side, swimming pool
Cons: No air conditionning, no fan, size of the bathroom for the dependancy
