Best Tende hotelsShow all
Pros: Clean, the pool, the calm, friendly hosts, good breakfast
Pros: The breakfast was with local products, simple and effective. Thanks a lot to the owner for her welcome. We arrived late at night and this wasn't an issue. Also, I complained casually that my dad's snoring had bothered me and she suggested we change rooms to get separate beds so that the sound would be less disturbing for me! She spent quite some time explaining to us the history of the place and its surroundings, showing us pictures from the past century. It was really authentic! The place is very central: you can reach Tende, les Mesces, and Casterino quite easily where there are nice hiking trails.
Pros: The views are stunning. The pool is a refreshing relief after a day of walking. The room was comfortable with a basic but very pleasant bathroom. Breakfast is fine, very simple, but the view while you’re eating it rather distracts you from any shortcomings. In some ways this hotel is really charming but it really feels a bit like the absolute minimum is offered to get you by. We enjoyed our stay and the adventure of finding dinner and walking back up the hill in the dark but it may not to be to everyone’s taste.
Cons: The approach to the hotel is up a hair raising track - don’t approach this at night in a car for the first time, it was bad enough in broad daylight! Remember that this hotel offers no dinner and your eating options nearby are very limited. There is no kettle or mini fridge in the room so a tea or keeping a picnic on hand is not really possible (although we did store a hiking picnic in the bathroom one night as it stayed cool in there overnight.) Honestly a kettle and some cups would have been a godsend after a long day’s hike and a simple addition for the proprietor to make.
Pros: Superb senic and quiet location a little out of town. V quiet village. Marvellous pool with viewsSuperb walks in Valle des Mervilles nearby. Franck Panza 4x4 guided tour (local)recommended
Cons: Not serving evening meal and alcoholic beverages. Understandably due to ill health of one of owners
Pros: Magnificent location surrounded by mountains with uninterrupted views. Nice rooms and friendly staff. Beautiful pool. A steep walk from the train to the accommodation but enjoyable. Fine if you had a car. Would definitely come back to stay.
Cons: No wifi in room but were guided to location outside an area which wasn’t any problem.
With a stay at Hôtel Le Prieuré in Tende, you'll be 11.3 mi (18.2 km) from Vallee des Merveilles and 13 mi (21 km) from Col de Tende. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and a library. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely hotel in stunning location. Staff delightful.
Cons: Only issue - we had a big room with a large bathroom - but only a bath with shower attachment (no curtain/screen). Seems odd as there was ample space in the bathroom for a stand-alone shower.
Pros: Cheerful staff. Good evening meal and breakfast
Cons: Only a small amount of toilet paper was left and no spare roll!
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, interesting site - old monastry.
Cons: We had a room without sun and to the street. It wasn't loud because of the well-oiled windows.
Pros: Kindness of people working there. Good restaurant. View from windows.
Pros: Location, great value food. Ideal situation for outdoor lovers - hiking, canyoneering - kayaking in season etc.
Pros: This hotel is more than a hotel, is a social project helping people in need who are employed and taught to work by the hotel. Apart from this, it's a beautiful structure, sparking clean, conveniently located near Casterino where all the treks towards the Valle des Merveilles start, and with a good restaurant. Breakfast is abundant and good.
Cons: The restaurant is good but offers only two choices of menu and no carte; a little more choices would be welcome.
Pros: locayion, staff and crpissants!!!!
Cons: leaving....room away from the roadnext time, i will remind you!
Pros: Nice and clean, well located
Cons: The breakfast is really spartan
Pros: Nice view from the window, quite, very good dinner, super comfortable bed!
Cons: Breakfast was not so good

It features an on-site restaurant serving both French and Italian dishes. Each room includes a wardrobe and either a private bathroom with a shower, or access to a shared bathroom. A continental breakfast is available daily. Limone Ski Resort is a 20-minute drive away. Tende train station is just 300 metres from the hotel.
Pros: i stayed overnight (because i could not stay any longer), but i liked it a lot. Sweet stuff. It is not perfect, but very good.
Cons: No complains.
Pros: Fantastic value. Very conveniently positioned. Simple but great value. Good quality food for very reasonable price. Top pizza in particular.
Pros: A perfect place to stay to discover the lovely city of Tende and explore Mont Bego. Lovely staff and great breakfast. Very convenient to have the restuarant nearby and enjoy a full three course dinner after adventures in the mountains. Good value for money.
Pros: Friendly staff, large room, nice view. Warm.
Cons: Early closure of check in is inconvenient, but the staff made an exception for me.
Pros: Friendliness of staff, views, price, atmosphere
Pros: great location, easy parking by the train station (50 meters walk), local touch, quiet
Pros: The atmosphere is friendly and cosy. The room was simple but good: all the basics you need, are there. It’s right in the center but nice and quiet.
Cons: Everything was just fine.
Pros: Very central, helpful staff that replied to enquiries promptly. Close to the free railway station carpark. Tende itself was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: Opened late for breakfast (8:30).

Pros: Very rustic, authentic vibe. Clean and friendly
Located in La Brigue, Le Mirval is in a rural location, a 1-minute drive from Notre-Dame-des-Fontaines and 5 minutes from Our Lady of the Fountains. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: View throw the window (mountains, tower of church), village, dinning room, garden.
Cons: I missed hair dryer.
Cons: The staff were not interested in the guests, all rather bland.
Pros: The location. La Brigue is a great centre for exploring the area. The museum in Tende is partularly good. The area is very quiet at night. Also this hotel seems to be run by a very competent family. They are all nice.
Cons: On the first evening we had the 'menu'. The beef was very tough and there was too much of it. On a second evening we used the 'carte' and had excellent veal.
Pros: As we arrived late for checkin was no problem keys were left at reception for us. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Crossings and coffe was brought to our breakfast table.Beautiful accomodation.
Cons: Only downside was no lift to our floor but that is to be expected in an old hotel. Not a problem just required abit of strength to carry up the stairs.
Pros: The location is brilliant. A highlight was the 4x4 and guided hike, Sebastian was a knowledgeable and considerate guide; a great experience.
Cons: That I could have paid less by booking a package directly with the hotel
Pros: The atmosphere, the views, and the personnel were exceptional. Le Mirval overlooks the valley with great views of mountains, with no buildings to hinder the view. The hotel is very close to town centre.
Pros: Great location right next to a beautiful small village which is definitely worth visiting. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. The room was basic but clean. Friendly staff. All in all good value for money and would consider staying there again.
Cons: Breakfast was not the best with very limited choice of selection and so and so quality coffee. It was not possible to eat our breakfast in the best tables facing towards the valley/river, which was a shame. People traveling with bicycles and motorbikes would appreciate a possibility to water-hose their bikes clean. The restaurant opens at 7.30 pm which was too late for my taste.
Pros: Very nice location, friendly staff, good breakfast, big room, old charm
Cons: abit of renovation
Pros: The hotel and the room were nice and clean. The view and the little town were really nice. Brigue is little but cozy
Cons: The staff was almost absent, they only showed up for the payment process. Almost no welcome at arrival

Pros: All food delicious, village beautiful staff and family friendly
Cons: Shower a bit weak
Pros: Great atmosphere, lovely staff, great food and service! Loved the village so much!!
Pros: We like small towns and villages so we really liked this place. The room was of good size and the bed was comfortable. We had a day hike at Vallee de Fontanalba and had a good rest here.
Cons: We were the only guests that night and the restaurant wasn't open. Heard the owner was a great chef.
Pros: Good location, friendly staff.
Cons: Uncomfortable pillows.
Pros: Robi the host made all the difference. He was fun and friendly. Location is great though you do hear church bells ringing day and night
Pros: Wi-Fi excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Good evening food.
Cons: Very limited choice breakfast, even for France. Terrible orange juice.
Pros: The hotel was incredibly helpful and friendly we were 5 cyclists bikepacking with dirty bikes and kit we were welcomed without hesitation, our bikes were securely stored and we were very well fed at the hotel which served some local specialties! Our bottles were filled with fresh ice cold water on departure. Great experience would recommend.
Pros: location- The restaurant is really good and helpful staff and owner
Cons: Bathroom was not fit for purpose at all which made it really uncomfortable for us. The room and facilities in the room were not value for money at all.
Cons: cleanliness, room furnishings

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, easy parking, good restaurant.
Cons: Room very small, toilet along corridor. Lots of steps.
Pros: The room ( Single room only) was very comfortable ! The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was very good ! Location very good as the village is very interesting ! The place has great character just like the rest of the village ! Great place and intend to take my partner there and book a double room !
Cons: The room was a single only so the access to the small toilet was the only thing that proved inconvenient , shower soap dispenser was empty, again picky I know !! Apart from those items it was very good !
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent - right in the centre of La Brigue.
Cons: The restaurant was lovely, but quite special and expensive. A cheaper bar-type menu would have been an appreciated alternative. Providing a fan in the bedroom would make the stay more comfortable during summer months.
Pros: Friendly staff!
Cons: No shower head bracket made showering interesting but no bother.
Pros: Lovely friendly little hotel and restaurant in a beautiful village.
Pros: Very friendly throughout, prompt service, Got an immediate upgrade.
Pros: Very good lunch at the hotel's restaurant. Also, we got upgraded by the manager to the room with the terrace.

Pros: Very charming place with an very great host. Gracie mille mille.
Pros: We felt like visiting family. We enjoyed the animals and the location. We were able to enjoy the Valley of marvels.
Cons: I did like the homey feel, but it would be nice to have some furniture free for putting our things on/in. And I hope he is able to finish the second bathroom. I think future guests will appreciate it.
