beautifull furniture, wall paintings, stairs breakfast: more fresh bread and cheese
from the outside you did not realize the what was inside like going back in time high painted ceiling and a great host no ensuite but a good large bathfoom
Staff is well prepared to serve travelers of Corsica Ferries. No private bathrooms.
Very frendly and helpfull staf. Good breakfast. There was no parking place, where to leave a car.
Fantastic place. Old world, wonderful person, made us a rec. for dinner at a lovely real spot. The small town, while near the ferries to Corisca etc. is interesting and lively. We loved it. My husband helped the owner translate to another group. This type of place is fading fast. For certain types of travelers, it beats all. We loved it!! But for some, it might not suit. It is a Bed and Breakfast, technically, but so much more. If you are looking for a regular hotel experience, this is not for you. That said, it is fantastic if you want to stay in the current, real Italy on your way to wherever.
Pleasant place with some old fashioned style
Ceiling paintings great. bREAKFAST good. No toilet roll in bathroom. vERY hard to find.
the family atmosphere
The owner gave us a free bus pass to get into Savona. It was outdated, dark and cold.
The decor was fantastic, like going back in time 300 years. Breakfast was very good, varied and plentiful. Furniture was also period, though the door fell off our bedroom cabinet. Bed was comfortable and atmosphere was peaceful. Great value for money. Very different experience. Our hostess seemed a little harassed as she was fully booked and spent a lot of time on the phone. She opened the door and left us on the door step. the hotel was not that easy to find, and parking places nearby a bit hit and miss.
The hotel is absolutely great. We really felt like at home. The owner, Bruno, offering great service and treat you like his best friend. Rooms are excellent, breakfast is great. The view is just fantastic. It's a pity we had only a few days there and couldn't make testing of their own wines. I will definitely go there for more.
the location was beautiful, surrounded by a cathedral, vineyards, rolling hills and other homes similar to Del Tufo - Bruno and Agatha made us feel welcomed and at home in their home. It was difficult to find - Google maps does okay to a point, but route #'s end at a certain point and you're basically on your own - a detailed map would be helpful.
The people, the wine, the area. In fact - everything, except the pizzaria down the road who appeared to have a dislike for English people.
No one else was there Beware of barking dogs all night
Tranquil atmosphere. Fantastic views. Charming hospitality. No air conditioning. Staff couldn't speak one word of English (and we can't speak Italian)
