Pros: Excellent host; feels like you live in your own home; the soft jazz music played during breakfast

Pros: Cozy. Great breakfast. Friendly owner.
Cons: Owner only spoke French

Pros: The delightful decor and spaciousness of the bedroom was much appreciated. The bed and bed linens were first class. The breakfast was beautifully presented and a delight to eat. Our hostess was utterly charming. My husband especially liked having the key code for both the front door and our bedroom door. The meal we enjoyed in the bar opposite was first rate. It was a pleasure to relax and enjoy this romantic ambiance. A very special place to stay. We would both love to revisit.
Cons: There was nothing not to like! Two minor things ... I struggled to get any hot water out of the shower but I am not good with shower controls at the best of times. My husband succeeded. Our fireplace was out of action. It would have been wonderful if that had worked, it would have made the room extra cosy.
Pros: Entering the room you notice that that fireplace is already lit, romantic music is playing, and half a bottle is waiting for you and your partner. Breakfast is a feast. Beautiful hikes in the vicinity (walk to Mechelen via Epen along the river). Dine in the cafe-restaurant just across the street, play yahtzee while you drink a Belgian beer and wait for the meal.
Pros: Super romantic B&B in the countryside. Fantastic breakfast!
Pros: The room was beautifully appointed and the young lady who made breakfast for us was very friendly and efficient. Lovely surroundings. We tried Bistro Le Soigneur up the road and had a great meal.
Cons: The e-mail explaining how to gain access to the room landed in my spam box, so I was a bit confused until I called the owners. All sorted out very quickly and very straightforward once you know. I would have liked some instructions about how to use the coffee machine in the room too. There are dozens of different ones and they all work differently. So we had to drink the lovely free wine instead. That's my excuse anyway! These are very minor points and in no way detracted from our very pleasurable experience.
Pros: The owners were friendly and very helpful. Excellent breakfast
Cons: The chalet was lovely but more like a spa than a bedroom. Nowhere to sit comfortably, other than on the bed. Lighting was dim.
Pros: Very nice, clean room with a sauna (we did not use). Comfortable beds, modern interior and high quality equipment. The staff was very friendly and took care of all our requests, like check-in on our preferred time. Breakfast served for two, enough choice and good quality food.

Pros: Lovely room, comfortable bed. Very friendly people and a superb breakfast.
Pros: Location, Food, staff
Cons: If any (not): Kitchen closes at 8 pm (bit too Early after a dayride) | breakfast starts at 7.30 am (too late for a dayride)
Pros: Friendly personnel. Excellent wines (try the Chateuneuf du Pape half bottle) and Belgian Beers. Good breakfast. Nicely situated next to the famous inn Moeder de Gans (17th century style inn). Good value for money
Cons: Nothing really to report.
Pros: Cosy very friendly and welcoming great food they are working very hard to improve the hotel what they have done so far is very good
Cons: The bathrooms and bedrooms are a bit tired

Pros: It was nice and peaceful. Far away from the hussle and bustle. Country life.
Cons: It was a little too far out away from all amenities.
Pros: the silence! friendly people, and correct prices
Pros: First of all the apartment was better than it showed in the pictures (this is something that the owner has to change) and it has two bedrooms although in booking.com was obvious that it will be only one room with two single beds (and we assumed that there would be a folding couch). Instead of this there were 4 single beds. The hotel is located on the boarders between Belgium and Nederland in a very quiet location with small farms around it. It was clean and neat. In a very small distance (1.4km) there are bars and restaurants where you can eat delicious Belgian specialties.
Cons: Wifi is not quite good. There were so many doors but no signal of the reception desk.
Pros: Very nice and hospitable owners! Excellent location for trekking, mountain biking, cycling.
Pros: Friendly reception, spacious apartment: sitting area+kitchen; bedroom. Nice view. Good bed, bath room with bath--clean
Pros: Nice breakfast, worth its value, friendly owners, quiet location meaning good night of sleep
Cons: It would be great to have a coffee and a few tea bags in the room
Pros: Very veru nice owner, appartman is big, comfortable.

Pros: Very nice hotel in a beautiful surroundings. The comfort room was spacious and had a nice, deep bathtub. Enough parking space around the hotel. Excellent location. Two decent restaurants, but the pizzeria is only open from Friday-Sunday.
Cons: Breakfast is okay but not wauw. They have pancakes which is cool with kids but almost not used by adults.
Pros: Very nice place to stay over, with good restaurants around, incl. the ones in the hotel
Pros: Friendliness, took an interest, helpful about food, drinks, sights in the area. Very peaceful place in a beautiful area.
Pros: Great breakfast with tasty bread and good coffee. Nice and cosy atmosphere.
Pros: Nice hotel, authentic scenery, good location, lots of hiking tracks, great breakfast, tasty diner. Highly recommended.
Pros: A hidden gem! This modern hotel is integrated with traditional buildings in quaint country village. The facilities are excellent, staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are spotless. Superb cuisine and a selection of local beers are available in casual restaurant. Breakfasts are great too and include Belgian waffles!
Cons: Nothing, it was excellent
Pros: Beautiful little village
Cons: Rooms a little basic but adequate for one night. Tv very poor signal on all channels. Lovely little bar opposite hotel. Would have been even nicer if the landlady was slightly more hospitable!
Pros: allmost everyting.
Cons: Not super luxerous touches, but still very decent and updated.

Pros: Everything was very nice. We arrived at about 23 and they were waiting for us. Best white wine that I drink The hotel is very nice and I recommend if you want to relax away from the city Private parking
Pros: It was very calm and peaceful area. The breakfast was very good, people were so friendly. Nice place for relaxing during the weekend.
Cons: It was quite difficult to find the Hotel, not easy route!
Cons: Cold room. Restaurant suddenly closed. No reception.
Pros: Splendid building and rooms tucked away in quiet village. Only 21/2 hrs from ferry at Ijmuiden. Excellent breakfast
Cons: The dining regime should be made clear...a fixed menu which must be taken by all at the table. The only choice is either 3 or 4 courses. I would have had 4 but my companions only wanted 3 so I couldn't. The fixed menu was OK for 3 of us but not the 4th due to allergy...in fairness the kitchen found an alternative. Lucky! The food we did have was superb and beautifully presented.
Pros: Breakfast is great and staff is very nice
Cons: The room is a little small, but surely good enough
Pros: Nice terrace to have breakfast, beautiful surroundings.
Cons: There was no person on reception. We had to search for personnel and found them from restaurant. Air condition system made terrible noise from time to time. Could have been cleaner.
Pros: very tasteful breakfast and delicious dinner, the e-bikes were delivered at the premises, superkind and helpful staff, the view from the breakfast terrace, the airconditioned rooms (we were there during a heatwave)
Pros: Location, personal, breakfast... Inside the hotel everything was great.
Cons: Our gps device lead us to the main entrance to the town, which was under construction. The road was blocked by a big caterpillar and we had to drive off-road one km to try to find the way to the hotel, but again we found a dead end. Eventually, we managed to find another way by going back to the main road.

Located in Plombieres, Golf Hotel Mergelhof is in a rural location, a 1-minute drive from Mergelhof Golf Club and 7 minutes from Municipal Administration of Plombières. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We had wonderful people looking after us. Our meals were perfect. Everything was just right.
Cons: Shower space was tiny.
Pros: We were surprised to see the views over the hills from the terrace. The location is very nice even for non golf players. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. Staff was very welcoming. Bathroom was small and bit outdated but all was clean and working very well.
Cons: Name of hotel not clearly signposted at the exit. Lot of noise from the corridor. Small room.
Pros: Quite nice hotel with very friendly personal. The hotel is surrounded by golf fields and the nature around is very beautiful. Our room was smaller then expected but there was everything we needed for comfortable staying. Including a kettle which was very useful. The view from our room was perfect but because windows were small and high situated we could not enjoy it completely.
Pros: The view is very nice, also from my room. It seems to be a great place for golfers.
Cons: Breakfast was in a stuffy, little room, with no view at all and was pretty bland, little choice. The room was very basic, a bit rundown, definitely not modern.
Pros: Nice breakfasts.Great golf course.
Cons: Do not disturb option for door as staff entered room without knocking.More choice on menu.More shampoo for room.
Pros: Nice view
Cons: No wifi in the breakfast room and in our bedroom too. Only in the restaurant
Pros: peace and scenery service
Cons: TV and Internet could be better. Hotel is in Belgium and none of the Belgium stations available also no national radio.
Pros: location, room, food.
Cons: Reception after 19:00 is a complete disaster. Good chance you don't get in (telephone not picked up - nobody turns up.)
Pros: Big enough room with heating (it was 0 degrees when I arrived). Great breakfast. Kind and helpful staff (some persons don't speak French, though, which was a surprise for me in Belgium...). The hotel is located by a golf course, in a beautiful landscape.
Cons: Parking places are a bit far from the hotel itself (they are shared with the golf course). And even though I asked for a very calm room (and was answered with a "bien sur"), I got one which was by the men's changing room, at the beginning of a first floor corridor, and by the breakfast room, which meant that everyone passed my door, and in the morning I could hear staff preparing breakfast etc. Fortunately the noise had not begun at 6 a.m., so I slept long enough not to be tired the next day, but it seemed a bit weird even so. Wi-fi does not work well in the hotel area, it's much better in the restaurant.

Pros: We received an email a few nights before that the restaurant was fully booked by a group the night we would stay. When I called and explained we were hiking to the location, they made room for us and we were able to eat the set menu selected by the group. It was beautifully presented and delicious. We were very happy they could accommodate us this way.
Pros: Beautiful large rooms, large bath, restaurant on spot, nice breakfast, nice location
Cons: The sink in our room was blocked and the water flooded in the room. The lady unclogged it with a product, but the problem should be solved in a more permanent way. Since the restaurant closes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, there was no breakfast on Tuesday.
Pros: The place is amazing for a weekend gateaway. It's really close to the brewery of Val-Dieu. The staffs are very friendly, the room was very clean. We stayed in the room of the attic and we could hardly hear any voices during our stay. It's very quite for a relaxing weekend. Love the ambiance of the place and definitely would go back again. This is a perfect place for people looking for a place for a relaxing weekend. We also had the breakfast and it was excellent.
Pros: Location was wonderful. Room was spacious. Facilities were good. We had the whole place to ourselves, which was wonderful.
Pros: We booked for the 2nd of april and that is before season starts. So the restaurant was not open and we were the only guests. The room was good and large enough
Pros: The location, the staff and the great food..
Cons: That we had to leave the next day..
Pros: Quiet country location. New facility. Great restaurant. Very nice rooms. Did not do breakfast.
Cons: No complaints!
Pros: Location, welcome, accomodation of motorcycle parking, clean room, great bathroom, lovely food, pleasent surroundings.
Cons: I could not find fault at all. Very happy to have stayed here.
Pros: The accommodation is at the 2nd floor of brasserie within the nicest rural area. It’s perfect to stay there, if one is traveling by car. Dinner in brasserie could be also recommended.
Cons: What a poor experience. No one there at all to greet us for our stay in the hotel at 15:00 Very rude man offered no apologies for this. Whole place empty and felt very concerned about staying in a remote area just the two of us in this empty place.

Pros: Great location
Cons: No hairdryer
Pros: Very cosy and nice.
Cons: It's a bit too noisy. If you want to sleep until late, forget about it.
Pros: Very nice house in the centre of the lovely Teuven with lots of very enjoyable cafés and restaurants. The house has a pretty terrace and garden to enjoy the sun. Our room for four was enormously spacious and clean. Nice livingroom to sit and read a book. Perfect place to enjoy nature.
Cons: Such a shame the kitchen is so very well equipped but not used for serving an excellent breakfast. We already read these comments in advance and decided to bring our own breakfast witch we ate in the garden and was very nice. It was not specifically mentioned you could prepare your own breakfast and we didn't dare to use the unused cooking equipment. Everybody else had served breakfast. We were able to put our stuff in the refrigerator. If a proper and hot breakfast would have been served or some granola with yogurt and fresh juice, we would have loved to pay for it. The way it is served now, is not worth the price. We hope the management will consider serving a breakfast that meets up with the quality of the house and we will gladly return!
Located in Voeren, Kasteel Altembrouck is on a lake, within a 15-minute drive of Collegiale Saint-Hadelin de Vise and Fort d'Aubin Neufchateau. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great place atmosphere in a beautiful rural surroundings. Friendly staff.
Pros: The location and surroundings were very picturesque and beautiful. The domain of the castle was perfect for walks in nature. The castle had a lot of charm.
Cons: Despite the high standards, the inner streets were extremely muddy, the car entrance to the castle was full of potholes (no pavement) and the parking was also full of mud and hay. Moreover, the services (both during dinner and breakfast) were not at the height of the expectations: waited a lot for the wine and water to be served, while at breakfast we had to ask for our table to be cleaned...
Pros: Location, quiet, stylish, green.
Cons: Narrow double bed under the roof a bit claustrophobic. Tap in the bathroom too low for the sink.
Pros: Location, terras
Cons: Very dark room, small bed, expensive hotel but not possible to order a cappuccino for breakfast.
Pros: The castle athmosphere
Cons: No BOB-arrangement with good non-alcoholic drinks
Pros: The area and the kitchen. Marcel the restaurant master was very friendly a helpful
Cons: Bathroom is not made for small people Miror to high . Not all rooms do have a excellent wifi
Pros: The surroundings are gorgeous, the room was cozy and comfortable and included an unexpected bottle of bubbles. Afternoon refreshments and breakfast were delicious, and served in beautiful and comfortable spaces.
Cons: Can't think of anything!
Pros: The receptionist was very friendly and helpfull. Check in and check out was very fast. Breakfast was super.
Cons: Sound isolation could be better. On the first floor, you can follow conversations from the bar. The hotel is remote, there's free wifi, but network is poor or not working at all
Pros: The surrounding is wonderful for those who like walking in the nature. The room (suite) and bathroom were spacious. The service (reception, chef, restaurant) was extremely friendly, client-oriented and responsive to our requests. We felt welcomed with our little kid. The meals (we went for 3 courses menu each evening) and wines were delicious. Price-quality balance in the restaurant was very good. Restaurant space was cosy with Christmas decorations, nice view from the windows and big fireplace.
Cons: The room was dirty. The windows were not cleaned, there were dust and spider webs all-over the suite. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay (only first day), garbage ban was not emptied (even though full), toilet paper/handkerchiefs were not supplied (even though run out), regular hotel amenities were not there, no hairdryer. The suite was very dark. It was difficult to spend afternoons there. I couldn't see what's in the wardrobe and the light in kitchenette didn't work at all. The textiles (bed/sofa covers, pillows, curtains) were very worn out. The entire room looked like an old aunt's attic rather than a luxurious suite (215 EUR/night). The bed had two separate matrasses, which wasn't comfortable for a couple. The first day and night the room was cold and it took a lot of time before radiators started to work. The bathroom remained cold for our entire stay. The first evening the water was lukewarm, not warm enough to enjoy a bath. The breakfasts were poor (good enough for **). In such place we've expected rather local products instead of cheap supermarket jam. The restaurant service (although extremely friendly) was chaotic. We've got things we didn't order, we didn't get things we've ordered (I had to take a closer look at the restaurant bills during check-out, because they didn't reflect what we had). The first evening we've spent 3,5 hours at the table and still had to skip dessert, because our kid couldn't wait anymore. We were also surprised that during one evening the 3 course menu was fish-only, while this place is supposed to be famous for its home-grown beef. This hotel has a great potential due to its location and infrastructure, we couldn't understand why it is so poorly managed. The staff is clearly doing all they can, but it is the management of the hotel that's failing. This place is very chaotic and clearly lacks vision and leadership.
Pros: Great potential but poor detail Sink design did not work Room dusty Could be delightful
